I really enjoyed this restaurant while staying at the Vespera. A tasty michelada and the ceviche flight and you’re set. The ceviche I had contained large chunks of crab and shrimp. It was delicious. I capped it all off with the bread pudding. I seriously could eat only about 1/4 of it. It was so rich and amazing with Carmel sauce and topped with a scoop of ice cream. Check it out when you’re visiting Pismo next.

Food: 5* Service: 5* Ambiance: 5* Can we start with the food? Now, often, too often, when you ask a server what good here or what is the best. You get the ‘everything’. Well in this case it may be true. We enjoyed the Dungeness crab tostadas, carnitas tacos, and chorizo poblano burger. Yes, I know all very inventive. Boy nothing disappointed. The crab was creamy, well seasoned and ample. Tostadas were made fresh and sprinkled with just the right amount of course salt. The carnitas tacos were huge, packed with succulent pork. The burger was very tasty and huge. The side of fries bordered on perfection. You know when you get fresh, hot, well seasoned fries. Well this was the time. Just perfect. Ask for the house made salsas and you will not regret it. The service from Shannon and then Mason was impeccable. Very attentive, but not pushy. We leisurely enjoyed our food over two hours soaking us the sun and views. The soft sound of surf really added to the ambiance. Check out the pictures. I mean could there have been a more perfect day? I highly recommend this place for lunch an I would imagine dinner would be spectacular too. We will return.

This is a modern restaurant with a beautiful view in Pismo Beach. We stopped in to get out of the rain and were so pleasantly surprised at how beautiful it was. A hidden gem.

My family of 6 came in for dinner and Paquin did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in the staff was friendly, the atmosphere was open and inviting with views of the ocean, and the service was phenomenal! Our table got a variety of food including the steak, scallops, ceviche, and salmon which was prepared well and beautifully! I love that they have mocktails in the menu, bonus! The server rose to the challenge of my teenagers food requests and delivered (wait for it)…chicken strips! Amongst all that goodness on the menu, but the strips were a win and everyone was happy! Our table finished off the evening with crème brûlée, but the table side s’mores did look tempting. We’ll try that next time!

We came to Pequín to celebrate our anniversary and it was a wonderful experience. Our server Lisa was friendly and very helpful, she helped me decide between two amazing entree options. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for great service and food right by the beach!

We stopped in for appetizers and mocktails and both were delicious. The view is great, with lots of indoor or outdoor seating, with fire pits and heaters. Staff were quick and friendly. Looks like a very nice place to stay.

Loving the new management. Very community centric. The new restaurant Pequin has Mexican style dishes that we can all can relate to but with a gourmet flare. The tacos and ceviche are a must try. Chef Frank does a fantastic job of bringing exquisite flavors to every bite. It was also the perfect location for my birthday bash!

Restaurant definitely deserves some good reviews. Located inside of Vaspera resort so not easy to miss. Live performance at evenings. Cheerful staff, good wine and food options. Surprisingly, very good vegetarian options available.

Friday early evening was busy with tourists and families but still had some nice open tables with views. Donna was server, she is personable and is great at her job. Ordered drinks and the Brussels sprouts appetizer. Totally recommend and would order them again.

Firdt tike staying at this hotel everything is amazing to top it off some of the best food I have ever had in my life!! From the short rib to the crab cakes phenomenal!!! Then we had the papas Brava and chicken taquitos i didnt know chicken taquitos could be that good!! Omg!! Amazing will never stay another place in pismo again!! Or eat for that matter!

Beachside dining in the evening was comfortable thanks to the heater. Catch of the day ceviche, papas bravas, bitter & sweet salad, and wagyu were all good. Service was pleasant.

I absolutely love coming to this oceanside gem—especially the bar area! Whether I’m stopping in for a casual evening or meeting friends, the experience is always top-notch. The service at the bar is consistently excellent. The bartender, Becca, is outstandnig. She is welcoming, attentive, and always on point with her drink recommendations. Her energy and professionalism set the tone for the whole experience, and she’s a big reason why I keep coming back. The food is just as impressive as the drinks. Whether you're ordering a full meal or just enjoying small plates with cocktails, everything is consistently delicious. This place is a go-to for me, and I always leave looking forward to the next visit.

We are locals and this was our first time visiting Pequin Coastal Cocina. From the moment we entered, it was clear that the decor and ambiance was modern and welcoming. Being able to view the open kitchen was a nice feature as well. Our server was attentive, kind and very helpful in giving recommendations. Our 7 year old daughter enjoyed the kids menu and we had a hard time choosing from the many great options for appetizers, salads and entrees. The hearts of palm ceviche was outstanding-- so flavorful and unique! We enjoyed the scallops and a special pork entree, finished with churros. A great experience overall and we look forward to returning!

WOW! What a great experience at Pequin Coastal Cocina!! The ambiance is a delight, including the ocean views, especially when the sun sets. My meal was absolutely amazing!! Being a vegetarian, often I need to tweak the menu, but here they had options!! Be sure to try the Hearts of Palm Ceviche, even my meat eating friends thought it was great! The Vegetarian Enchiladas were delicious, so flavorful! As full as I was, I didn't want to skip the Tres Leches Bread Pudding, one of my favorites and Pequin did not disappoint!!! Don't miss out on this fabulous dining experience!!

Had breakfast the next day and it took awhile and it was OK. All around a solid 4, but overall good portions and food tasted good (if it was warm).

We arrived and sat outside and waited over 20 minutes for service. Then we noticed a scan on the table…sooo you had to scan in the menu. So we did. We asked someone working there is there someplace we go to order it… they said just right at the outside bar. At the bar they said no go inside to order. We went inside ordered and they said come back and get it in 20 minutes. So we went to get the food and they put them all in boxes. So we sat looking at the beautiful ocean view while we ate out of boxes. Won’t go back to that place!!!!!

Waited over 15 minutes for service at the bar. Numerous staff walked by and chatted with each other, but no one provided service. Expressed disappointment to manager and she could care less. First she said she was just getting around to bringing us menus and immediately after said she thought someone else was helping us.
