The Cloud

You must pay to park in the hotel premises if you're not a guest or apartment owner. There's valet parking. The restaurant is in the 18th floor. This is like the highest building in the country. Octopus was grilled (it's spicy) on a squid sauce risotto, simply delicious. Tacos were good, soft meat but they don't use real taco Tortilla. They serve it with Tortirrica. We ordered Aperol Spritz. They were so good and refreshing. Too slow to serve drinks.

Very nice atmosphere, the food was excellent, the San José view from the restaurant is amazing.

El trato aquí es simplemente espectacular. Tanto el hotel como el restaurante son súper kids friendly, lo que hace la experiencia aún más especial para quienes viajamos en familia. La vista es impresionante, mucho más de lo que uno se imagina antes de llegar. Tenía años de no recibir un servicio al cliente tan extraordinario: el bartender fue increíble y todos los meseros nos atendieron con una amabilidad excepcional. Es cierto que otros comentarios hablan mucho de la comida, pero honestamente, el servicio compensa y eleva la experiencia por completo. ¡Una joya!

Our First Experience was not the best, but everyone deserves a second chance, and it was a great decision, now under Mr. Francisco Araya and his Team, The Cloud is totally different and worth the visit, the food was great, the service amazing, they even set up a table for us when there was no room at the balcony, by far a memorable evening thanks to Francisco and his team. Great Job!!!

9/10 El lugar es muy bonito, posee una vista increíble del estadio nacional de Costa Rica y la sábana. comimos en el desayunó buffete, posee varias opciones, tanto para veganos. La atención es excelente los meseros muy amables. El buffete estaba en promoción, $45+ impuestos, en total $57.

Restaurante del Hotel Hilton, lugar elegante, amplio, comida gourmet, precios altos de acuerdo al lugar, atención muy lenta a pesar de estar vacío, un ambiente opaco. Durante el dia tiene una vista espectacular del Estadio y parte de San José. Pedidos Espaguetis al pesto, Ravioli con queso risotto y filete de pargo rojo, todos exquisitos pero porciones muy pequeñas.

El sitio es muy bonito, muy buena presentación, detalles en la mesa, vistas espectaculares si sales al balcón. Nos atendieron bien, aunque tardaron en traernos el vino. La comida me pareció muy bien presentada pero al final no me pareció tan exquisita como esperaba. Unos espaguetis de sepia con langosta y puntas de espárragos y salsa de gorgonzola que yo esperaba que tuviera unos contrastes de sabores pero al final todo estaba rico pero muy suave, no tan espectacular. El tiramisú estaba muy rico y tenía una presentación preciosa.

La comida muy buena y la atención del personal un 10. Vista increíble!. Único en punto en contra es que la logística de reservación aún es un poco desordenada y llegamos al restaurante y no teníamos la reserva guardada. Además el precio de las bebidas muy elevado con respecto a calidad. Por lo demás todo bien.

The view is amazing. The restaurant is very fancy and modern, take dinner in the terrace is a good experience. Also the staff is very kind and attentive. The food was good. The vegan options in the menu for one of my guests was extremely limited.

San Jose, CR if you’re desperate to go to a restaurant come here. It’s the hotels restaurant. But there’s a better restaurant on the first floor. This is also the same food that you can get for room service. The food was OK, just very bland and boring. I would recommend the shrimp tempura. The serotonin was not that good, the salmon sashimi was the best. The cook salmon was good, but tasted a little old and the potatoes that it’s sitting on tasted horrible. I would never come here again, and I wouldn’t suggest eating here unless you have to eat something from your room.

Positives first: the view is spectacular during daylight (you are paying for this) & the service from the waiters is also very good, can’t fault them at all! Negatives: the absolute worst value for money meal I’ve had anywhere in the world. A burger and chips for more $ than anywhere in London/LA/NYC where it was incredibly overcooked, everything was hard, the bacon tasted days old. I’ve actually never sent food back in my life, this is the closest I came. We did read the awful reviews but figured it was late and the reviews can’t all be true…spoiler, they were. The food was truly awful. Come here for drinks, but not food.

Very beautiful restaurant located inside the Hilton hotel in la sabana! The ambience and views are breathtaking; I had the pleasure of dining here a few times during my stay and to be honest the food is OK. Nothing too spectacular! The host and service are commendable so maybe that makes up for lackluster.

1. Fui a cenar con un amigo mexicano quien había reservado una mesa para dos. Él escogió una mesa al fondo, detrás de la cual un mesero de color parecía montar guardia. Al dirigirnos hacia ella, nos dijo muy serio " aquí no se pueden sentar, esta es mi mesa". Nos sorprendió esa actitud, y cuando nos disponíamos a buscar otro lugar, su tono se hizo más amable y nos dijo que sí podíamos sentarnos ahí, que estaba bromeando!!! Me sorprendió que un mesero de un restaurante tan cotizado se permita este tipo de familiaridades con clientes que ni conoce! 2. Habiendo pedido una botella de vino, la muchacha lo sirvió y lo derramó y tuve que apartarme, para no ser salpicada. Le tocó a ella misma limpiar la mesa. Eso me dió la impresión que los empleados no son profesionales calificados, a pesar del restaurante parecer de alto nivel. 3. Estábamos aún sin terminar la entrada, cuando a cada rato un mesero se presentaba para preguntar si podía traernos el plato principal. Mi amigo tuvo que decirle que aún no habíamos acabado con las entradas, que nos diera un tiempito. Al final, el mesero se presentó otra vez y repitió la pregunta, añadiendo : " es que se seca"! En toda mi experiencia culinaria, nunca vi un servicio tan poco profesional. Cierto, los meseros fueron gentiles, pero sin ninguna noción de la etiqueta que requiere trabajar en un lugar como este.

Too loud, too expensive for what the place is. Food is good, not great, service is terrible. They are friendly but super super slow. Food arrived before the drinks. Did I mention that the place is loud, so much echo. You hear everyone.

Been there a few times, haven't found any dishes that captures my taste buds yet! The latte is good though! Service is very slow, and experienced waitresses and waiters ignoring our table 2-3 times in one visit even when they walk pass by directly. They don't even pay attention for customers drink refills. Took an hour to receive the 1st appetizer. The view is absolutely amazing! Still very nice to go for the coffee and the view.

We opted to eat dinner here since it was late. The view is amazing and so was the service. The food on the other hand was not good! We ordered a Caesar salad that serves two and it was 36usd!!!!! We decided to order it because it came with anchovies and capers and we were not starving but wanted to eat something small before going to bed. The Caesar came out with no anchovies and no capers. That’s right, it was a regular Caesar salad that we paid $36 for. The tacos were pretty but had zero taste. They were horrible. They tasted like leftover meat. Never again will we eat dinner at this hotel.

Terrible ambiance, going at night, I expected a more intimate ambiance and experience but actually felt more like breakfast buffet Lighting is too bright which doesn't allow to appreciate the view from the inside and outside sitting and table not too suitable for eating , food was not good , portions too small and overpriced, don't mind paying if food is worth it Very disappointed

Asistimos a la cena de Thanksgiving en The Cloud y, sinceramente, la experiencia quedó muy por debajo de lo esperado, especialmente considerando el precio de $75 por persona. Desde que llegamos nos informaron que el buffet cerraba a las 9:00 pm, a pesar de que la actividad estaba anunciada hasta las 10:00 pm, lo que desde el inicio nos hizo sentir apresurados. El servicio tampoco ayudó: en general se percibía que el personal quería terminar la jornada lo antes posible, lo cual afectó el ambiente y la experiencia. En cuanto a la comida, lamentablemente dejó mucho que desear para el costo del evento; la calidad y variedad no justificaron el precio. En resumen, una noche que esperábamos especial terminó siendo una decepción. Ojalá puedan mejorar tanto la organización como la calidad del servicio para futuros eventos.

Vista bonita , menú reducido y básico, precios altos y la verdad hubiera comido mejor en el 1er piso en santo pecado , no hay snacks ni tardes de café . No hay pasta GF, no hay pizza sin GF.

Tak príšerné a hnusné jedlo som dlho nikde nejedol a ani nevidel. Hamburger : pripálené mäso , suché a bez chuti, asi aj staré alebo z mrazničky! Z hranoliek vyteká olej. Vrátil som to a nezaplatil. Neodporúčam !!!

20 compañeros nos tuvimos que ir en una hora por el Insoportable escándalo que no nos permitía hablar. Había que gritar. Que desperdicio de lugar. Por cierto una cerveza me costo casi 6000. No vayan

Terrible esperar para 5 personas una hora por unos entrantes y unas bebidas. Cabe recalcar que el servicio de atención de los meseros es muy bueno pero la comida es terriblemente mala para esperar más de una hora por su preparación. Un ambiente con mucho caché y buenas vistas pero nada destacable por su comida un rissotto que parecía más un arroz con pollo con el pollo en filetes ? Y camarones en tempura crudos por dentro. No llegamos ni al postre. Ahora para traer la cuenta no tardaron ni 2 min. no volveremos

Service was very slow, unacceptable - we were the only ones in the whole place and we had to flag someone over to the table every time for every thing. We went for the view which was great but we would never go again. The service was horrible and the food was also horrible. The Caesar salad was the worst I've ever had - very bland and full of capers. I've never had capers in a Caesar salad before! The dressing had no flavor at all. The waitress who did the tableside service was nice but she had no idea what she was doing. Then we ordered the pasta prepared tableside in the parmesan wheel. Horrible presentation, no one knew anything about what they were doing! And the pasta sauce was awful tasting - had no flavor. I can't believe this was a Hilton Hotel restaurant. This was the worst experience in a supposedly high-end restaurant that I've ever had. The bill was over $200 USD and when we complained, the only response was :Thank you very much." I will go out of my way to avoid all Hilton Hotels and Hilton Hotels restaurants from now on.

If you’re in a rush before an event at the stadium don’t go there. We came 2 hours before thinking that was plenty of time. They didn’t even ask for our drinks until 20-30 mins in. By then, realizing they were slow, ordered our food at the same time as drinks. Over an hour later, we asked how much longer our food would take and they said at least another 30mins. We had to cancel our order (never done that before) otherwise we’d have missed the show. There was no apology, nothing, clearly this was standard. So I can’t review the food as we were never able to eat, service was very poor, and the restaurant was nothing more than a standard hotel style restaurant. Only small saving grace was the view but still wouldn’t go back for that.

Worst experience at a restaurant I’ve had in Costa Rica in 15 years, made a reservation, tables were empty but they still made us wait 20 minutes before seating us, placed orders, took 30 minutes for drinks to show up. About 30 mins later the waitress came and told us our food was still going to be 1/2 hour - as we had tickets for a show and had been at the restaurant for about an hour and 20 minutes at that point so we finally decided to leave. Totally disorganized gong show. Surprised to experience such a disaster at the Hilton hotel. Stay away, or expect disappointment

Worst ever service I’ve received. The waiter started to prepared the drinks just after we claim for the slow service… I mean slow 15 min waiting for 3 cups of water and 3 regular coffe. My family and I were the only ones in the place. (3 pax) The reason of the delay on my optic( the waiter immediately after we order started to play with her cellphone and just forgot she had 3 clients in there. The food was good. Prices…average to any hotel ( slightly higher than regular restaurants).

Food poisoning. Need I say more? I had the slow cooked pork leg and that night it caused me vomiting and diarrhea. Still recovering from the after effect. Will never go again. Very disappointing at the kitchen hygiene for a Hilton brand.

Ordered the lobster with black spaghetti. The lobster was way over cooked and the entire dish lacked flavor. The best part of the meal was the bread and tiramisu dessert that was comped. The acoustics were terrible. Impossible to have a quiet dinner. The sounds bounced off walls of glass, porcelain tiled floor. The live entertainment on the west side of the 18th floor interferes with conversation in the restaurant. Too pricey for the experience.

If I can give zero stars I would. Waited an hour for drinks, then were told food would be another half hour. Other tables food was sat waiting on the hotplate for 15 mins with no one to serve. Shocking experience. Hilton you should be ashamed. Save yourself the trouble and avoid at all costs!

For how much this place costs, food was very bad. Fish tasted expired. Would rather eat a McDonald’s for dinner. Nice place tho!

Worst service ever. Sitting for more than 15 minutes in an almost empty bar, we had to ask for someone to please come and after waiting for another 5 minutes no one came. We left

Publicidad engañosa, nos hicieron ver el agua como incluida y nos cobraron casi 15mil por 2 aguas. Publicidad decía que incluía parqueo y al final resultó que no y también tocó pagarlo. También decía que incluía una "copa de vino" y lo que dieron fue prácticamente un shot de vino, ni media copa. Jamás volveré. El balcón cerrado durante el evento del 14 de febrero. Atención mediocre en redes, precios obviamente altos. Horrible.

Mala atención, he ido dos veces y las dos nos han atendido malísimo, duran demasiado tomarte la orden y en entregarte la comida, el señor de lentes (jefe de cocina) tiene muy mala atención y me alzó la voz a las 9:30 cuando la cocina cierra a las 10:00

I went for a cocktail and a snack to try the place out about an hour ago and the waiter was very rude. From the very first moment I arrived, the waiter scolded me for grabbing a menu, and was rude throughout the night I was there with my brother and partner. We all agreed he had an attitude. For the price paid, the least I expect when going to a Hilton is a good food and good service, and even though the sangrias were good as well as my ceviche, the service was not good.

I had the privilege of going to this place a few years ago and everything was 5 stars. I went on June 1, 2025 and there was not anyone working. I with about 8 others sat on the deck overlooking the city and knowone came to greet us or serve us. We all left. To make matters worse I came back a few hours later to see if it was any better. I was greeted and served a beer with a menu. The "captain" of the staff was waiting in me. He served others after I had arrived, gave them food and drinks and he never checked on me. I waived him down for the check and after my beer being empty
