A nice local place, where the food tastes and looks better than the inside of the restaurant. They work very clean. Highly recommend , especially the panuchos or tacos with cochinita. The salbutes were too greasy for my likings. Guacamole excellent as well, and empanadas cheese for kids
I m a vegetarian from india, he took great care of my family needs and provided everything to make our food taste great and amazing. Very friendly and hard working to make ur experience a happy one.
Great place to eat local food! Javier was very kind and explained us in English less known local sites that are a must see. Had there breakfast and dinner, the food was always good for are great price.
Eat the whole menu!! On our way back from Chichen-Itzá and the Ik Kil Cenote, this place was recommended and man, it did not disappoint, absolutely incredible food, very inexpensive, walk 30 yards and buy yourself a beer, we didn’t want to leave, it was a absolutely amazing, couldn’t plan it any better, the ladies there were amazing and the food was great, highly recommend the empanadas, flautas, the whole thing…wow!!
This place was recommended to us by the man working at Ik Kil Cenote when we asked where to get some good authentic Mayan food. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! All the food was amazing and was all home made. Javier was absolutely the best and suggested all the best things on the menu. Javier treated us like family and was so kind. We are so glad we stopped at this place!
Along the road heading to Chichen Itza you will run into a little town called Piste. I stopped for a quick bite in La Gran Chaya. I got four salbutes, two cochinita pibil, two pavo, and a chaya con lima drink which I absolutely love! The salbutes were delicious as well, with the habanero sauce that rules in this part of the country. I highly recommend, the service is outstanding, the food is delicious!
Local original tasty Mexican food. No big show, just tasty cheap food - it was exactly what we needed after a trip to the cenote. Gracias!

Great place. Was recommended to my by a tour guide in Chichen Itza and we are very happy. Very authentic dishes, hand made, savory, and good service. Would definitely come back.
Great location andbgreat food. We are staying in an Airbnb in Xocenpich down the road (I advise you to look into it) $450 for a month for a whole 3br, 2ba house that has plenty of room to easily sleep 10 people comfortably. There are a few places down the street also that are really good too... Everything in Piste is good!

Good traditional Yucatan food. It is a simple place. Friendly locals recommended it and we stopped by to try it. Nothing fancy, but very affordable, good food.
Ordered 2 lemonades, guacamole + chips, and empanadas de Chaya. Limited options for vegetarians ( no meat; no fish; no eggs). However, one should give it a try for local experience. Very very pocket friendly.

Food quality is good. The guacamole and corn chips were great. You can take a taxi or drive 3.0 km from Chichén-Itzá to get there.
Maybe I got unlucky, I ordered the pork and when it was brought to the table the smell warned me not to eat it, and I didn't. The rest of the food was fine but overall the place did not look very clean.
The food was boring and dry, i have tried over 40 resturants in the area on my vacation, and this one is rock bottom. Better to be hungry than eat here.
I cannot give minus stars so I give one. We order empanadas as appetizer, and the cheese inside was the cheapest processed cheese ever. I ordered Papadzules, a staple of Yucatan food made with grounded pumpkin seeds sauce, and instead of it, they gave me a raw playdough. Finally, my girlfriend ordered Lomitos. She is from Yucatan and she is used to the local street food, but just after finishing half her plate, she got a severe case of food poisoning. You can see in the picture the plaster used instead of the pepita sauce.
