New Hama Fusion

I am a regular at Hama. This is one of the best places to go for sushi on long island. The food is amazing as is the service. Jason is a great waiter and person. The owner and staff are also very nice and accomodating!

I ordered food by phone and was delivered very fast. we ordered 6 different rolls including special rolls and all were really delicious and fresh. my family loved it. they also sent us a complimentary appetizer with our food which was also delicious and very nice of them. I will definitely order from new Hama fusion again

Overall fresh, delicious, and affordable Japanese cuisine with large portions. Highly recommend giving this establishment a try when you’re in the mood for sushi!

I've been here for about 10 years so far. I eat here on an average of once a week. The staff is great, especially Ilane. They treat me really well here. The food is pretty fresh and creative. I'm a huge fan.

Pretty good food here! just had a very nice midday lunch here Island and her crew are top of the line as always. You can tell that Island really cares about her place because even when she takes her day off, her staff is always spot on!!!

Great lunch value! I got the chicken teriyaki bento box, with shumai and the France roll. The food was good, delightful seasoning in the teriyaki sauce and roll. Generous portion of miso soup! Wow. It's not overly salty, as it can be in other places. The discount for ordering online is awesome. Will definitely order from here again! Not too far from our church's new location.

The Best sushi restaurant in Plainview spicy salmon roll and tuna roll is amazing. The food always comes out quick and delicious. This is definitely my go to stop. This restaurant is always neat and clean.

This is the best tasting sushi in Plainview. The food is excellent & the presentation is very pretty. It is very obvious that they care a lot about their food. We have been ordering delivery since moving here and really love their Hama salmon dinner box. It’s delicious and so filling! We also like the sashimi combos and the rolls are really good & very fresh tasting.

Hama Sushi is one of my favorite sushi places on Long Island. The fish is always very fresh and the menu is constantly changing. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are enjoying yourself. I’ve been here dozens of times and have never left disappointed. I highly recommend coming to Hama for delicious sushi and a great overall experience.

Most of the time the sushi is fresh and tasty. Nice variety of sushi rolls and sashimi at reasonable prices. They could get better warm sake. Never had any of the warm dishes .

I'm used to better rolls on long Island. Boston roll was tiny. Usually it's 2 inches in diameter. Rolls were not cut well so seaweed was attached at bottom. Since you don't have knives, I had to "cut" the seaweed with chopsticks to separate the roll pieces

I am very unsatisfied with the service I received today, the hostess was rude and dismissive. My friend and I were picking up our online order & we nicely asked if we could eat our food inside, and he immediately and rudely said NO! He was very firm and rude about it. We were both paying customers and were confused why we couldn’t eat our lunch there. We had to find somewhere nearby to eat our lunch, as we have never experienced this before from any other establishment. I understand if the tables are for dine-in only customers, but the restaurant was completely empty with no tables filled and he also could have kindly explained it was for dine-in only. Unfortunately, we will not be returning and I will no longer be a paying customer.

Ordered takeout and expected more considering the reviews. The hibachi chicken was rubbery and bland with a hint of fishy, the fried rice was bland as well. Maybe it was an off night but I didn't feel like it was worth $18 at all for the dinner hibachi plate I got and I generally feel ripped off. At least my dog will get an expensive pile of "food"

Dined here Friday night with the wife. We had not been here in many years but we were given a gift card for Hama so we decided to try it again. The complementary crab/cheese balls are too greasy and not a good combination. Gyoza soup was just ok - didn't care for the beef stock. Duck roll appetizer was terrible. The meager portion of duck was very fatty and the sauce that was served with it was all wrong. This needed a plum sauce. Sushi rolls were not great. Not sure exactly whether it was the quality of the fish, or the fact that some of the ingredients were too cold. Service was good, but we had to wait too long for our entree. To me, Kotobuki is the gold standard for sushi on Long Island - and Hama isn't in the same league. Not sure I will ever go back - even with a gift card.

Walked in and ordered dinner take out from the lady at the register. She looked annoyed as we were ordering and asking questions about the menu, but I decided to just get the food there anyway since I've never tried it before. Food was rubbery and barely had taste.

This used to be a great sushi restaurant but apparently they are not same. For example there best roll was downtown it was really good now it taste like scallion wrapped in seaweed other rolls you used to taste what it's says it gad inside. Now it taste like cardboard will never go there again will look for a new sushi place

I found THIS WORM in my food!! It was floating around in my teriyaki sauce I am praying that that did not come from the sushi. I’m honestly repulsed I feel like I’m going to vomit.

I don't get it. I've eaten here a few times over the years, and it's consistently bad. I keep thinking "maybe it'll be good this time, they've been around so long." Fish is gamey, rice has no flavor. One step below supermarket sushi. I've learned my lesson. There are so many better places in the area, I would skip this one.

Went here on a whim for takeout which was a very bad idea. When I walked in the place had a funny smell - a slightly off unpleasant fish type smell - and I was strongly tempted to turn around and leave. But because I was very hungry I placed an order. Tuna tataki was not fresh looking and smothered in some white watery mayo quasi-ranch type dressing sauce with a bunch of unsightly orange fish egg clumped throughout. Salmon Avocado roll smelled off and had a similar off flavor. Spicy yellowtail did not taste good and had an unpleasant consistancy in the mouth. Because I was very hungry I finished the tataki but ate only one piece of each roll. I do not recommend going here.

The worst. Waited over 45 minutes for a take out order. Ordered online, gave them plenty of time in advance. Inexcusable. If you are that busy, then adjust times food will be ready. If you allow me to order for 7pm pick up, 7:45 is ridiculous!!! And worse? When I got home I discovered the neglected to include my two extra ordered salads. Upon calling them, they offered a credit for future order. Ha ha. I said I want my salads now. They just don’t care. I’m done with this place. Used to be reliable.

Had ordered dinner from Hama last week. I became violently sick several hours later. Called Hama the next day and was told the American body can't handle the mix of different foods. (I was not looking for a free meal.) I promptly called the Nassau County Department of Health who inspected Hama a day or two later. They said Hama completely failed the inspection. I was told that the meat, fish and rice were not stored correctly i.e. not at the correct temperature. I was told the temperature of the Eel was measured @ 57 degrees. It would have been nice if the owner called me back to apologize. I was not looking for anything else. As an update, I have to get tested for parasites.
