The night was phenomenal and made for the perfect date night. My husband and I were taken such great care of by Will — he was fabulous — and everything we had was truly divine. We enjoyed a few wine flights and glasses, along with the fondue plate and a margherita pizza, and every bite was delicious. Between the cozy ambiance, attentive service, and wonderful wine selection, it’s a place we’ll absolutely be returning to.

Absolutely delicious food. I had the chards of class wine flight and loved it. The staff was FANTASTIC and we felt really taken care of. I ended up buying a glass of wine that I had tried in the flight just to hang out a little longer. It felt like good value for the money spent.

Oh. My. Goodness. Food? Exquisite. We ordered off of the Restaurant Week menu- shrimp potstickers, the most delicious salmon I have ever had, and a fabulous creme brulee. Chef's kiss for each course. Wine? Amazing. I got the Malbec Mania flight and it was outstanding. Service? Holy schnikes! I told my husband that we have eaten at multiple 5 star and Michelin starred restaurants and haven't had service this good. Our waitress was phenomenal! So attentive! Our waters never went unfilled and we barely finished a glass or a plate before it was whisked away. Listen- before you come at me for the water situation... how many times have you paid the bill and then are completely ignored until you walk out the door? I am usually stealing water from my husband by the time we leave (It's August in Texas- IYKYK). That didn't happen here. We were there with friends that we haven't seen in a long time and just wanted to chat and enjoy a nice meal together. Even after we finished our beverages, the waitstaff kept our waters full and that never happens to me, regardless of the restaurant. Needless to say, the level of service and the quality of food and wine means that I will be returning in the near future! Thank you for a lovely evening!

I love coming here for date nights or a girls’ night out! A big thank you to our waiter, Calvin, who always takes such great care of us. He’s incredibly thoughtful and knowledgeable, always providing detailed explanations about the wines and dishes. We feel truly special every time we visit. The wine menu is fantastic!

Cru has become a sure stop when I am in town! It is a fantastic place to meet up with friends. If you're lucky enough to have the infamous bartender, TJ, serve you, you're in for a treat. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting GM Jeff, a true gentleman. These two will help you find the right wine for you and your party if you don't already have a favorite. Great for a glass, a meal, conversation, or a bottle to share with a friend. Highly recommend!

Came here for a work dinner with 10 people. We were sat in a back room with a curtain. The atmosphere is dimly lit, but it does create an ambiance perfect for dinner. We ordered the goat cheese beignet, the fog and gorgonzola bruschetta, and the wagyu meatballs for appetizers. All were delicious. I ordered the Barolo Braised Short Rib plate for dinner. It was perfectly cooked. Our service was excellent. I will be back.

I reserved a table at CRU Friday night so that I could ask my friends to by my bridesmaids! I mentioned on the reservation if it would be possible to have my bridesmaid boxes on the table. The manager/waitress went above and beyond to make this special for me! They were so excited for us and even gifted us free champagne! Seriously the nicest/ most genuine staff I have ever had the pleasure to meet! They made that night so special for me and it is something I will always remember! Definitely will be back! Best service!

As a wine lover I knew I was going to enjoy myself; what I didn't expect was the level of customer care and quality of the food. From the moment we walked in we were treated like the only customers there. Our server, Marissa, was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable about the wines. We never waited for a water top-off or to have dishes cleared. And the food was delicious; we didn't think the lobster & shrimp potstickers would work, but then we fought over the last one - I could have made an entire meal of them. We had the Chicken piccata and Butchers pizza as entrees; you almost expect food at a wine bar to be subpar since there's alcohol involved but that's not the case at Crú, this was one of the best meals I've had in a long time.

Great environment, service, and food. Tried the Flight #7 (Wanderlust) and the Argentina Malbec was incredible. Ordered another glass to pair with the filet mignon which was also awesome and the lave cake for dessert. Robinson was a great waiter and made excellent wine recommendations. Highly recommend Cru and will be returning soon.

Joi and the whole staff are a pleasure to work with whenever I have a business dinner or anything else. I go 2-3 times a week and am never ever disappointed. It’s the best way to start and end my week.

Great service staff is very knowledgeable and amazing cheese selection. Piccariono truffle Cheese was AMAZING. As well as the fig jam. Enjoyed a Can wine flight . Will definitely be back

Enjoyed our visit, the bartender stayed on top of our drinks, music was live so we enjoyed it. There was a good crowd and a little loud but all in good fun. Great place for after work or when our group arrived on a Friday night. I ordered their hummus. The consistency was thinner than I am accustomed to eating so it was a little difficult eating with the pita bread. It tasted good, though, Their Caymus, my friend ordered, was delicious as always. I preferred a light Sauv Blanc with the hummus. Definitely will be returning.

Really excellent small plate offerings. The goat cheese beignet and the meatballs were outstanding (there are two meatballs, but in the pic i had already devoured one of them). Wine is a bit overpriced, but it's how they make their money, so not a big deal. If not for the overly loud Dr and his friends trying to one up each other with their name/location/spending stories, it would have been perfect. We will def be back, but we will go a bit earlier to get a patio seat.

Came for a quick date night. Really nice wine selections. Staff was friendly. My only disappointment was the charcuterie board and i say this loosely because i wish there was more to offer with the board it’s my favorite thing to eat while wine tasting. Overall would definitely go back for some patio drinks. Nice vibe and ambience to the wine bar.

Good atmosphere and great ambiance. Love the way wine is served. The only problem was the service, it took way too long to take our order and they were not friendly. We order a pizza and it was ok, I was expecting more flavor.

Went for Valentines fixe price menu for dinner. It was pretty good but was very disappointed that they ran out of Creme Brulé as one of the dessert choices. Our reservation was at 7pm and this should not have happened.

The wine selection is respectable and it a nicely decorated bistro. Service was aloof as if we were inconveniencing the waiter. Not sure why their website for the Plano location continues to advertise Happy Hour. When we arrived we were told that was discontinued. Honestly, will go to the many many other DFW bars that have Happy Hours.

White wine flight was okay, I like that there’s options. Waiters face and personality was miserable. The bruschetta was the worst, stick to the wine.

The food is mid; stick to the wine. My friends and I came for restaurant week, and the atmosphere was nice; our server started off good, but that didn’t last long. She kept disappearing, and we had to get up and go get her even though it was slow, so I don’t really get that. The food was very bland, my favorite being the lobster and shrimp potstickers. The scallops and risotto were extremely bland, and the chocolate cake and crème brûlée weren’t good. Overall, this is my second Cru location with mid-food, so I’m convinced to skip the meals and only order wine.

Upon entering Cru Food and Wine Bar, I was immediately struck by the lack of a hostess at the entrance. A long 5-minute wait before anyone acknowledged my presence certainly set a less-than-stellar first impression. As for the dining experience, while the Waygu Meatballs and Lobster & Shrimp potstickers showed promise in terms of flavor, they couldn't compensate for the poor service. Our waiter was noticeably unfriendly and lacked engagement, which hampered our overall dining experience. Told the waiter it was our first time, but he never acknowledged it. Missed the opportunity to tell us about the restaurant. To add to the disappointment, the presence of flies and fruit flies throughout the evening was both bothersome and unappetizing. This visit left much to be desired. If not for the food, I would have rated this visit one star. Visited the restaurant on Sunday, August 6, 2023.
