Great food and exceptionally fast for a Sonic. This spot is definitely one of the better Sonic locations that I've been to....and I've been to quite a few lol. They also had Frito pie. Yes!!!

We hadn't been to Sonic in ages, due to terrible service and equally terrible food. We went in a pinch after they had reopened from the hurricane and it was fantastic! I don't know if it's new owners or new management, but these guys are getting it right. We have been a handful of times since and the order is always correct, the food is always hot and it's back to the quality I remember from when I was a kid. Everyone has been so polite, very much like when you go to Chick-fil-A. Portland was in desperate need of a GOOD place to get a quick meal. We finished a baseball game at 9:30 tonight and we're excited to hit them up on the way home for a very late, but delicious dinner.

Wow! Excellent, professional Sonic! Answered my call less than 30 seconds, very friendly, professional even upsold my drink. Food came out in less than 5 minutes, hot and fresh, delivered with a smile! Nice to see excellent customer service! Keep up the good work!!!!

Just left Sonic here in Portland Tx and was greeted by Jay. For it being 7pm on Christmas this gentleman sure did go above and beyond for us with a great attitude. What a blessing he is, as any company would be lucky to have a, “Jay”. Small gestures as the one he made tonight for my kids means the world to us! thanks again buddy! Hope you see this!!

Excellent service. Servers are quick, considerate, happy and up beat despite the heat they are working in. Order came out exactly how I ordered it. It also came out in a timely manner. Prices are very decent for quantity.

I get a sonic drink at least 2x a day mon-fri. Stephanie Always makes my mornings. She even sang to me on my birthday.

Good food and fast service. My wife loves the corndog and ice cream here. The delivery guy will rollerblading to deliver food and that is something I don’t see at other Sonic. Hotdogs are good and staffs are nice. Good place for quick and quality food.

I was quite impressed last night going to Sonic. It was about 7:15 pm, and I went through the drive through. I have a big family and therefore always a large order, most places I go there is almost always something missing or wrong, so I just expect it to happen. The person who took my order was friendly, didn’t make me feel like I was wasting her time or taking forever. My large order was correct, nothing missing, all the sauces were there, they recapped my order three times, and I even had napkins. The food was great, delivered quickly, I didn’t have to pull forward to wait, (I do a lot of places) and their parking lot was almost completely full. Awesome job! Kudos to you guys for prompt, super-friendly, excellent service, and great workflow, you can tell they have some good teamwork, and expediting. Thank you so much for such an awesome experience!

I've been to ALOT of Sonic's and this is, BY FAR, the BEST one I've ever been to. I have alot of special requests and it's ALWAYS right, and they're so nice and quick. I will continue to chose this place anytime I have a craving for a burger or something sweet. Thank u to the Portland, TX Sonic staff, you made me believe in fast food again!!!

I get food sometimes, but I usually just get a drink. The lemonade and Teas are always good, and I also like to add different flavors to them. I love happy hour 😄. All the workers have been nice and I've had no problems. 👍

Used the drive thru and the person taking the order was great. When we got up to the window, she saw my dog and asked if he would like a "Pup Cup"....a cup of soft serve ice cream with a Milk Bone on top (complimentary)...he was all for that, having never been given ice cream. This store not only thinks of all their human customers, but their four-legged ones as well! Our order was also made quickly and exactly as ordered.

We always have a great experience at this location, service is great and we never have problems with our orders. Food is always hot and fresh. It is a fast food restaurant, however i do recommend this Portland location. Overall they do an excellent job!

The staff was great. The service from the woman who took our drive thru order and made my Dad’s shake was phenomenal. I explained to her that my Dad was older and sometimes shakes are made too thick and she gave us a thicker straw and added extra cream to his shake to make it more drinkable for him. Thank you! The pretzel and corn dogs also hit the spot!

I wish every location carried the bacon cheddar toaster like this one does. Scout is partial to their burgers though. And they're always fast!

I absolutely love the happy hour slushies and lemonades. And all the food has been really good. Very impressed with the come back after the hurricane.

I will drive all the way to calallen for a large ocean water I know it's just coconut syrup and Sprite but the ice from Sonic is always delicious..

I come here often mostly for the slushes. The slushes are great most of the time, but one time it tasted as if it was expired. Not sure how they managed that. Come here for the drinks, not the food.

Love to see car hops still using roller skates to bring me my meal. Food was good fresh and hot the only thing that wasn't to my liking was the cheese sauce for the pretzels sonic really need to work on the taste of that cheese sauce not good.

Food was good and service was too but I have a question. Is there a meth issue down here in Corpus? Carhop at Sonic was friendly also had meth mouth. Girl at Walmart yesterday did too. I'll pray for them.

Morning has best employees who actually care. Night time isn't awful but you're more likely to get not good drinks and messed up orders.

Y'all guys usually are awesome. But my most recent visit, you gave me a mocha shake instead of an oreo cheesecake. Also, my chicken was undercooked. I ended up getting salmonella. :(

Place to go for quick service. Downside is you Sacrifice speed for quality. I would much rather wait 7to 10 minutes for my fresh meal as opposed to semi dry burger with tots that have been under the heat lamp long enough for the grease to collect and make it taste bad. The drinks are always spot on on a good note.

Besides the occasional annoying teen, it’s pretty good.

For the most part service and food are good. We mostly order drinks. But I have had a few experiences with someone rude when ordering that I end up just leaving rather than wonder if they spit in my drink for asking if I can finish making my order.

So I never get any drinks from here (unless its slushies) because it always taste salty or way too sweet (like just plain syurp). But I always get the chili cheese cooney with mozerella sticks. I think thats a perfect combo. I also tip the carhops at least $2 every time.

Tonight they were off their game. Order 1 chocolate banana shake, 2 sundays and an Oreo cookie sandwich. They started to charge us for 2 chocolate banana shakes and 1 Sunday got it straightened out. They bring us our order when we got it home we discovered we had 1 chocolate shake (no banana) 2 sundays (they got that right) and 2 cookie dough shakes ( no cookie sandwich). It must have been idiot night there tonight.

Ordered a large onion rings and they were still raw. Many miles down the road when noticed took the hit being gas would be more than that the order cost to go back

This is a decent place to eat, but I'm deducting two stars because the price that you pay versus the amount of food and the quality of the food really isn't respective. It would seem to me that for the money that I pay I should get at least about 50% more food or at least another 70% up in quality. It's just not a place that I like to eat at too often.

They can never get my drink right and the sad thing it's the same drink every time. The people are nice most of the time

Went 5 different times on the way to work in the morning. I order a breakfast meal and ask for Dr Pepper with a full glass of ice. Unless I asked them about the ice at the window, I never received it. To me they just want to get you out of there.

Sonic serves up decent cheeseburgers and sandwiches. Service is fairly prompt, but some weekend evenings can be crowded, which slows down food service. Great milkshakes and ice drinks. Overall a good, but not great, place to get fast food.

Drinks are flat. I had to explain my order 5 times and still didn't get a correct order. I had the chili cheese and had been sick all night :(

Ordered a butterfinger blast for $4 and there was only candy in the top 1" of it. Round 2...... Bacon double cheeseburger plain on toast.... Simple right.... Get home no bacon.... This place gets your order right about 30% of the time... This is nothing more than a management issue at this point. I order my food simple. Only meat and cheese yet that seems to be too complicated for this location. Sad really.

Not gunna like. Usually only go there for the ultimate breakfast burrito. Once upon a time they were good sized and had sauce now they are made dry and for infants..I have to buy two

I ordered a number 1 meal. The burger was cold and so were the fries. Customers pay a lot of money for their meals and for them to serve this kind of food, is a disgusting. The service in any restaurant in Portland is not worth paying.

Every single time I pay for extra smasher sauce, I never get it. Why offer if you're not going to do what I paid for? 🤬

Every time I order a strawberry cheesecake cream cooler (I know it's a long name but I don't make them and it's my FAVORITE) it's a hit or miss on how I receive it. Most times it's amazing, other times (like today) I get a strawberry milkshake.....it's gross and not what I asked for. Need to work on training your people on how to make these drinks correctly.

What in the world is this Sonic thinking? What a pitiful meal this is! I'm eating a 3 strip chicken meal? Everything about this meal is small.. They've changed the box it comes in, the fries look old and puny, the strips are flat, and the toast is over cooked! And supposedly they don't serve gravy anymore...what? I used to love this place but had to change my 5 star to 2 because our orders are always messed up. And since when did sonic only give you ice cream and a tsp of candy in your blasts? The last few times the fries were soggy grease and not fresh and crispy like usual. You finally just get tired of calling and complaining because nothing gets done about it.

My service was by an uncaring young man l, whom I informed that my drink needs to be wiped before being hand3d to me admit was covered in something green, I ordered a purple(grape) slush to which he replied oh well I don't know and continued to hand me my nasty cup.

We checked the hours of operation for the Sonic in Portland Texas. They close at 11pm. We went to Sonic at 10pm to get a milk shake and we’re told they can’t make milk shakes at this time. I don’t get it if your business says it’s open till 11pm then I should be able to order what I want until 11pm.

Forgot items, gave us the wrong order. Asked for plain hamburger received everything on it.

The employee asked for our milkshake order 6 times and they still didnt get it correct. The shakes were fine taste wise just horrible employee experience.

Food is ok if you get it but they are incredibly slow. Went and I was the only car in line do it wasn’t very busy. Had a simple order yet had to keep repeating it again and again. Waited forever for my order and finally gave up and left without my order or paying. This isn’t rocket science folks.

Charged twice for the same drinks after the person who took my order messed up (5/5/21). Was charged & refunded $15.21 on my card, then ended up paying $12 & change cash after the order was fixed. Today, 5/6/21, I'm being charged the $15.21 again. Tried calling to talk to management & got no answer. I don't know if this is credit card fraud/theft or something else, but either way it's not good for business.

If you enjoy cold food and no sauces with melted shakes then this would be a 10 out of 10 spot.

A guy named mike took my order very rude kept interupting me as i was ordering then cut me off when i was trying to make my final order, there excuse was theres alot of guys working. I work with diffrent pple everyday and thts no excuse. And there dr pepper came out all carbination no flavor.

Employees don't greet you like they should like saying "have yourself a super sonic day" I guess it's only in the valley which I loved and miss their great customer service. They don't upsale here and cashiers and manager dont know how the sonic app works 🤦‍♀️

This is in Portland either the person making the onion rings was careless in making or not properly trained. The service was a 1 star as well , lucky to get one word out of the carhop! Very disappointed today!

Waited at drive thru 5 mins until I hat to call gor service

Waited over 20 minutes in the drive in queue, got to the order point and literally no one was there!!! Waited and waited, no one took an order, no one in the window….all gone??? they seem to close at 6pm on a Friday??? Left without ordering and won’t be back anytime soon.

I didn't like my first experience at this location. I ordered a regular chili cheese coney, and they charged a footlong. The word footlong never came out of my mouth. The screen was broken and the employee had to walk away to charge me, and I couldn't verify my order on screen either. I called again to tell them of their mistake, and the person inside responds with an attitude and tells me I would have to wait 7 days for a refund. I told her I just wanted to let them know so they could do better. It was a simple 3 item order. She sarcastically says ok thank you bye.

Ordered food the strawberry milkshake tasted like nothing no flavor at all the chicken had no barbecue sauce. Like it should. would of gone back but was already on the way home 50 minute ride. Cars in the parking lot thumping music or I would of ate there.

Tots were the wrong size and were so under cooked the were soggy. Nothing but bitter yellow and white lettuce on burgers and the bacon on my burger was hard as a rock and taste like it was left over from AM shift. Ocean water had almost zero flavoring and was flat. This location just keeps getting worse. Should honestly just shutdown because they are ripping people off paying for the garbage they call food.

The second another car pulled up next to me, they immediately took his order while I was still sitting there ignored. As I was backing out to leave, then they finally tried to take my order. Nobody even answered the red button when I tried to order. Ended up ordering through the app and it took forever to get the food, which was just bad. Sonic lot was even empty, so definitely not busy at that time.

Watered down lemonade, the presentation of the burger was super depressing, asked for no onions and no cheese and gave me just pickles(forgot the tomatoes, lettuce, and mustard). Super greasy and fries were overloaded with salt.

Sonic needs to hire employees that can take orders. This time we ended up paying for an Xtra order that I didn't order. They need to learn to change the grease. The tater tots had the taste of old grease that ruined the taste of big red I ordered. I would have sent a photo of my receipt but they didn't give me one. Then she asked if I needed anything else... doesn't give me a chance to answer and starts to walk away...then don't ask. NOT A GOOD VISIT... THEY ALSO NEED TO REPAIR OR REPLACE SOME OF THE ORDER SCREENS...THEY GLITCH OUT WHEN YOU'RE ORDERING OR PAYING..

I pulled up to the drive through and tried to ask what was on the $1.99 menu because it was not posted on the board. The lady behind the earpiece said what?! I repeated my self and she instructed me to hold on. She then quickly read them off and it was hard to hear what she said, but I moved on. I ordered 2 jr double cheeseburgers, no bun, only cheese mayo and ketchup. She waits a minute and asks for me to repeat it because it was hard to hear me. I said of course no worries, I understand it can be hard to hear with all that noise in the kitchen, so I repeated that I wanted 2 jr double cheeseburgers, no bun, only cheese mayo and ketchup. She repeats it back to me and I correct again. She hastly tells me the total and I drive up. When I get to the window I pay, and then when a new lady name cassandra hands me back my card and my food. She let me know about the survey and was really nice. At the moment I got my food I knew something was wrong with it because the ticket said jr burger. I orderd the jr double cheeseburger with no bun, mayo, ketchup, cheese only. At this point it was already too late because I had my food and I paid for the food. I paid for technically the right food for the ticket that was entered but it was not the food I ordered. Once I got home I saw the issue and was very sad. Two regular patties smothered in mayo with a little ketchup no cheese that I paid 5.61 for... Felt like a waste of money and time. Cassandra was wonderful though and deserves a raise. I'm just sad. I expect better. I know I shouldn't but I always do.

App was being funky , could not place my order for 1/2 off drinks. Got to the store, told them my problem, and still did not give me the coupon. Waited ten minutes for them to even help us, waited another 20 minutes for two drinks, an ice cream that was half melted, and a French fry. They didn’t put any of the toppings I paid extra for and had to wait another 15 minutes for a new one. Not the first time. Taking a break from this Sonic for a while.

I was hungry.. actually got a combo meal.. the chicken sandwich. Paid $7. Got home and my chicken sandwich looks like something I'd get off the dollar menu!!! NEVER GOING AGAIN! So disappointed! So much for satisfying my appetite. Horrible.
