Excelente lugar para disfrutar de un buen café de olla, un licuado con leche de soya!! Nos encantaría ver más menú vegano, como tostadas de frijoles o burritos vegetarianos sin queso. Esperamos en el futuro!! Seguro regresamos. Uh las tablas de surf de ven muy buenas.

Excelente lugar para almorzar. No es muy grande pero está bien ambientado y ordenado. Atención amable, bilingüe. Platillos bien servidos, sabor único, café de olla excelente, con complementos y a precio muy accesible. Paquetes de desayuno y variedades diarias. No cuenta con estacionamiento pero en las calles aledañas siempre hay.

Es un lugar lindo, chiquito y tranquilo. Desayune molletes y mi esposo pidió un cuernito, nada especialmente espectacular en el sabor, tienen buenas porciones. También probamos el smoothie que tenían en promoción, no recuerdo el nombre pero estaba delicioso!

Increíble lugar! Súper amables todos , rico , a buen precio y buenas porciones. Incluso pedí una golden milk que no tienen en el menú y me la hicieron (¡deliciosa!

Abierto desde la mañana y hasta las 3:30pm Desayuno, café y refrigerios reparadores, el verdadero after surf, en el corazón de Puerto Escondido a escasos metros de la agencia municipal con una selección especial de tablas fabricadas a mano y en México por manos expertas locales, amantes del surf aquí hay una galería de arte y exibicion permanente de tablas de surf para todos los gustos y bolsillos, atendido cordialmente por sus propietarios. Feliz de que nos abran proyectos como este en Puerto Escondido Oax. Must check for surf lovers

Excellent food and a really nice vibe in this small cafe/surf shop. There are great vegetarian options and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Definitely reccomend the smoothies and the baguettes, they are huge and full of flavour

Went here for lunch today and the food was excellent. Would have been five star but they have a small kitchen so it takes some time for the food to come. Worth the wait though! They have about 6 small tables so come early to get your spot.

Good food, but soft forks. Their coffee is also really good, and the cups are a 10/10, teaspoon was a bit too big for the cup though. Had a good time, would definitely recommend to a friend.

Coffee is ok but not great. Latte on the menu says 60P but she charged 70P because it was take out. Very small. Considering the coffee is local you wouldn’t expect prices to be higher than in Canada.

DO NOT GO THERE!!! They blame you to ruin their surfboards even though you did not and expect you to pay for the boards otherwise you won‘t get your ID back. This place is a fraud!

Beware, the reviews that say they rip you off are true. Went in there for a caramel latte with oat milk in the morning to takeaway, was nice, 50 pesos. Went back for lunch, ordered the pancakes which were on special with coffee included for 80 pesos, so I ordered the same coffee I had before. When I came to pay, my bill was 230 pesos?! When I questioned it, the lady argued saying because I had syrup and different milk and it was only an americano included (not stated or mentioned) that it was more. No idea how it could possibly be THAT much more (even if I’d had pancakes + coffee it would only be 130), but it wasn’t up for discussion. Shame because the food was delicious and the original lady that served me in the morning was lovely.

Very unfriendly and a rip-off! I don't recommend it! Before I got there, I read the reviews but as aforementioned, it's a very bad service and as soon as the employees realize that you have a different nationality, they charge more and are eager to discuss. Furthermore, the coffee tastes bad - unfortunately very bad!

Such a disappoint!! Before I came to Chicatana I have read all the reviews and I was pretty impressed. But the personal is just unfriendly, the cafe is such a bad one and I would never recommend anyone to go there.

Went there for breakfast, coffee and to work. the wifi is very slow and the food is overpriced and not good! I also borrowed a surfbord bc the owner made me a ‚good‘ price. Afterwards she charged me 250pesos because of a scratch I didn‘t make! I asked here to prove it to me that the scratch wasn‘t there before with a picture , but she couldn‘t! Afterwards she wanted to lock me in her property and didn‘t wanted to let me go! I was shocked! She refused to give me back my ID or deposit and even made fun of me with her staff! Never been treated so disrespectful! I would really recommend to go to another local and rental shop before having the troubles I had!

After several months of travelling in Mexico, there are things and situations that don't surprise me...if you have a passport from another country, your photo is not that of a person...they see it as money. And this place was no exception. We rented a longboar for 2 days. At the beginning everything was very nice, as it normally happens if you work in customer service...the problem came when we went to return it, they told us that we had broken it and we had to pay 250 pesos. They had no way to prove it, and we made the mistake of not taking pictures...although we had been in Zicatela with little swell and nothing had happened to us! There were 4 of us, 3 of whom do not speak Spanish...this situation was taken advantage of by the owner to lie to the police and neighbours, while I could understand her lies perfectly because my mother tongue is Spanish, but I remained silent listening and watching her actions. She lied that we gave surfing lessons to other people, that we were violent, they even made fun of their neighbours believing that the police would not arrive. As the minutes passed, it was no longer 250 but 400!!! At one point it was 300, and finally we paid 250. Our time and energy was and is more important than a single note of money, the attitude of the owner was only that she wanted our money. We asked for the bill, and it was on a white piece of paper! A joke! We also asked for the contract and conditions, and she excused herself saying that they had to work. By this time we had already paid. Just because you have some money for your holidays, doesn't justify these situations. Zero empathy. They withheld our ID, even though we had arrived on time to return the boards but the lady was out partying. There are better places that treat you like a person, and at the same price. It is worth mentioning the warmth of the dog, it had more empathy than its owners. I would come back to pet him one more time.
