WoW!! I like to buy lunch for my staff on Saturdays so they dont have to leave and grab food and have been trying local places for weeks hoping to find a place we could go to regulary that my team wouldnt get tired of and I think we found it with the incredible food we have enjoyed from Dickey's Barbeque Pit in Ranch Mirage!! The manager is amazing and makes it so easy to be a loyal customer but the FOOD, oh man the food is why we will be going back every week! Brisket so tender you dont even have to chew, pulled pork so packed with flavor no sauce is even needed but for those who like sauce the suace they serve is just as fantastic! Sides that could be great meals by themsleves and prompt, polite service that makes all the difference! HIGHLY recomend Dickey's in Ranch Mirage!! Huge Thanks from the team at Coachella Valley VW!!
Aside from the food being wonderful as always....Tonya and Michelle were the staff members working during our dine in experience. Their customer service was beyond exceptional! I live about 30 mins from this location and have never been before but I will make it a point to ONLY come to this location and hopefully have the pleasure of having these two working a shift. The world needs more people like these friendly ladies...they truly went above and beyond to make customers not just myself feel welcomed and valued. GIVE THESE WOMEN A RAISE!!! Truly such an unexpected pleasant experience...thank you again ladies!
First time dining with Dickie’s BBQ. Wife and I had the Three Meat Meal and it was absolutely delicious! Everything was hot and tasty. You will not be disappointed. But, the real hero today at the Rancho Mirage location was Michelle! As soon as we walked through the front door, we were greeted with all smiles. Michelle was very attentive, friendly and a natural for providing excellent customer service. Dickie’s, please recognize Michelle for her efforts!
This location in particular has the best and juiciest meat. We both ordered a combination of 3. It was far too much food for 2 people, as the portions are generous, but gave us a chance to try a little of everything. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the venue. The staff was helpful and friendly. Strongly considering the catering option to remove the stress of a holiday party.
The food was great! It was the perfect temp, good quantities, and great service too. It’s a good way to switch up what you’re used to eating if you wanna try something new. I’ll be coming back!
I enjoyed the brisket sandwich with fries, potato casserole and cornbread. Everything was seasoned well and delicious. While they were short staff, the employee was friendly and polite. I didn’t mind waiting as he service the customers before me. I will definitely be going back, to try more items on the menu !!
This is one of the best places I've gone to get a bite to eat. The service was great very welcoming workers and the atmosphere in there is just so welcoming. And on top of that very clean and neat place. 👌 would go again. P.s never considered my self to be one who like BBQ but man they changed my mind best meat I've had.
The pulled pork sandwich special was incredible. So was the Texas Brisket. Highly recommended!!
Got the 2 meats, brisket and smoked chicken. Great job on both 👍🏼 Ultimately this review is about the service, Sam was so nice and cheerful, he really made it feel special. Also LOVED the signs about inclusiveness, like the restroom sign and one by the register that welcomes all humans. Definitely supporting this place more from now on.
We got some delicious barbecue here, the beef brisket and the pulled pork sandwiches plus the mac & cheese are great and have wonderful flavors! Cool place with great music and excellent service from Sam and Tanya! Thank you see you soon!
This place is literally the only place I get BBQ from in Palm Springs (but always this, the Rancho Mirage location.) They treat me like family, I order like 3x a week and they've even called me to make sure I didn't mess up an online order- THAT IS CUSTOMER CARE, AND CUSTOMER RETENTION. I couldn't praise this place enough; being a man from Alabama, their fried okra is top notch, which is reason enough to love the place.
I got the Texas Brisket Sandwich! One of the best I've ever had. It was 1000 times better than an inNout burger. I'll be back for sure. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. 👍
I thought I’d give Dickey’s try, and I was not disappointed. The meats were very tasty, tender & juicy. I like thicker barbecue sauces, not the thinner vinegary sauce as is served at a local barbecue house. Michelles level of excellent customer service & product knowledge was so refreshing! She allowed me to sample several items, and I dined in and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and the prices were much less than I expected to pay. I will be back for the beef brisket & more coleslaw. Keep up the good work Michelle, you gained a new customer & a well deserved 5 star review!
Went in on a Sunday, a very nice man named Angel helped us with the menu and gave us come recommendations since it was our first time! The food was amazing and for an incredible price too! Angel was the only person working at the time but we got our food within 10 minutes and he was very friendly and accommodating! 10/10 for Angel!
No soft serve, no problem. In the words of my son, "I'm full." I don't know what's up with all you haters, but this Dickey's was fire! Tanya helped me out and directed me the right way. Irish Nachos. Brisket. It was awesome. I got the beans on the side and put the sour cream and sauce right on the meat. Brisket was tasty and tender. Moist. Absolutely no complaints. My son wanted the soft serve, but I'm still trying to teach him that good BBQ is better than some desert. Great customer service. It made me feel at home. I highly recommend this Dickey's!
This location is under new ownership; and you can tell. Dickey's has always done a pretty good job with their food but individual locations were better than others based on who was running them. This location was taken over in August 2023 by an experienced local restaurant family and they are really making a difference. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The whole restaurant was very clean, including the bathroom. Overall the owner and staff seems interested in providing an exceptional experience. I will be going there again soon.
Got served by the actual owner of that location Lisa, she was so polite and outstanding customer service. The food was delicious. And even included dessert. Also the interior was well made and a great look for the place. All in all will recommend and return.
AWESOME TEXAS STYLE BARBECUE, Take it from a Texas girl. First I was greeted by Brianna, total sweetheart, very patient with me. I told her it was my first here. She suggested a few items. I ordered 2 pulled pork sliders, added coleslaw on top, one beef brisket slider, mac & cheese. Can't forget the sweet tea. A variety of self-serve warm sauces. I loved both original & sweet. I also enjoy the music, upbeat, great ambiance. Excellent service. The cook was very fast and courteous. The restaurant is very clean and organized. I highly recommend dining in or taking home. They also cater and take online orders.

Just came in today for my first time in a few years and since this location transitioned under new ownership. I can tell you this though…Tonya and Sam, (I made a point of getting their names) the new owners, are like a breath of fresh air. And I don’t even mean as limited to the restaurant business. I mean they exemplify the sort of excellence anyone in business should strive for. Luckily, for us, their talents aren’t being wasted in some faceless back office, but rather out-front and interfacing with customers, while delivering service only bonused by the fact that they are also serving you barbecue made with love. In my experience, these types of individually owned and operated chain restaurants are only as good as the individual owner/managers, who choose or choose not to run them by prioritizing a memorable customer experience. I just hope Dickey’s corporate realizes how lucky they are to have two ambassadors such as these, keeping their brand shining !
Ordered 2 full racks to go. They were ready when I got there. In and out in a couple minutes. Took home and all 4 of us agreed They were the best ribs ever. Little to no fat. Next time we are back from Solana Beach we will return
Fabulous barbecue, which can be hard to find in California! (I'm from Texas where bbq is king!) Wonderful friendly service and great food all around. Highly recommended!
I want to give a big shout-out to Dickey’s BBQ Pit and especially to Sam Srebnk for truly exceptional service. When I came in to order, I was especially looking forward to their potato salad (I love it!). Unfortunately, they were out of it that day. Sam was very apologetic and you could tell he genuinely felt bad—he could see the disappointment on my face. I decided to order the baked beans instead, which were also good. What really stood out to me was what happened next: when we got our meal, Sam went above and beyond. He found another side for me (I think he tracked one down in the back) and brought it over with sincere apologies. He didn’t have to do that, but he clearly cares about his customers’ experience. Later I found out that Sam is actually the owner—and honestly, it makes sense. He’s the kind of person you’d want to be friends with. Friendly, caring, genuine, and someone who takes real pride in what he does. It’s rare these days to see that level of personal attention and character in a business owner. If you’re thinking of trying Dickey’s, definitely do it. Not only is the food solid BBQ, but it’s run by people who care about their customers.
Shout out to Dickies in Rancho Mirage for catering lunch today at our Desert Elite Referral Partner meeting today. Savory and delicious always. If you have a hankering for some good old-fashioned, southern barbecue, give them a shot you won’t be disappointed
Fabulous barbecue, which can be hard to find in California! (I'm from Texas where bbq is king!) Wonderful friendly service and great food all around. Highly recommended!
It's easy to sit in the car, scroll through social media and get a burger at in n out across the street. But come on, go in and take a moment to sit in a throw back BBQ/ western restaurant. It's not as fast but that's the point, it's better.... Sit and enjoy good food with your family. I'm seeing these places drop off the map and I hope we can stop it before we become a Amazon, immediate gratification country. Great goody, great atmosphere....that's all we need!

Nice place in a strip mall with other great dining options. I usually go for the daily deal. On this Wednesday, it's the Westerner sandwich with sausage and pulled pork. I go with the onion tanglers and baked potato casserole with the drink. The soft-serve ice cream is free, which makes it a treat.
Very nice restaurant. Very good food. Very good service. Plenty of parking. I always like Dickey's and I am glad this one is close to home. The only problem was that the ice cream machine was not working. So I guess I will have to go back soon! The picture is the Friday Special - Pulled Pork Plate with 2 sides and drink.
All of the meats, cole slaw and mac and cheese, were good. The green beans had a strange taste! The Gold Cup Sodas are terribly overpriced. A small beverage should be included with the meal deal, with an option to upgrade it. Regards,
I am really sorry to have to write this because we go to Dickey's ALL THE TIME....and typically used to go to the one on Ramon road in Palm Springs which was EXCELLENT in EVERY way. The one closest to us now is in Rancho Mirage and this is our second experience in about 10 days and it is TERRIBLE. The pulled pork and ribs were very fatty, low quality meat; we ordered 2 orders of fries and were only given one, the French fries are soggy and barely warm. I wonder if they would pass the food temperature test if this place was inspected. Service was really slow at 4pm when the place was pretty empty, why is that when you have ONE customer to serve? We will NOT be coming back. It's a pity because they used to be really great once-upon a time. Revised review mid 2024: they have stepped up their game since my first post. Quality of the meat is much better, service is fast given they seem always under staffed. Will continue to test them out, quality of meat is better than Babes, though it’s clearly a different dining experience. Please work on those French fries…it’s not that hard to make a quality fry!
Walked in, place looked dark and only had one customer inside. Before we were able to place an order the worker let us know he was out of everything but chicken. Had his AirPod in and just apologized. It honestly felt like he just didn’t want to work. Either the morning staff really left him with nothing or he didn’t want to work.
So I've tried ordering online for family events around 06:30pm (this happened twice) but I would put my order in and it would charge me. I would wait for the order to drop off but I get a call saying that Dickeys is closed! It says online that you guys close at 8pm why are you closing at 730pm??? Change the hours online please. Love your food but you need to uphold your end on correcting your hours
There was a sticky feeling to the tables and trays. Ordered baked potato's and 2 drinks. Without our bogo, it would have been a $40 lunch for 2. A little spendy for a baked potato.
Brisket is super dry! Taste like its from a microwave no flavor at all really hard ends almost like is old. Service is good gotta do better tho on the food. Inside smells like a old folks house overall the service was good tho the guy who was worrking by his self was really cool. Give him a raise
My first time at Dickey’s. Maybe they were having an off day, but my meal was pretty bad, top to bottom. I got the 3 meat plate. $21 and comes with 2 sides. I got brisket, ribs, pulled pork baked beans and fried okra. The beans were half hard and undercooked. Luckily I took them back and the staff was happy to give me something else. So I tried the potato casserole. The potatoes casserole is basically just pureed style mashed potatoes with cheese and green onion on top. Unfortunately they had a weird undertone flavor, almost like soap. Could not eat them. Some of the okra was OK, but quite a few pieces were hard and stringy, like old tough asparagus that you can’t chew through. The brisket was fatty and stringy. The ribs had good flavor, but were hard and dry on top, to the point where they were hard to chew. The pulled pork was just OK. The staff was very friendly!
I have visited Dickey's BBQ previously in Palm Springs. Personally I love brisket. But after 3 tries with their meat....I give up. As before probably 40% of my meat platter was fat and gristle. Again, as before. A lot of waste. My meal was almost 18 dollars which is fine if the quality is there. Love to support our local franchisee, but better quality on the meat portions and maybe a little more time in the oven if tender is an issue.

I recommend you go elsewhere. The food was not horrible, but it certainly wasn't good, or as described. (e.g. Texas toast was really sad dinner rolls). Aside from the bait and switch on quality the order was actually mostly correct.

Only thing good was the atmosphere, came in 30 min after opening. Paid $20 for a cold sandwich with soggy bread?!? While waiting for food more, customers came in with a promo code and got their meals for $8.69!? How can this be okay? Love Texas bar b que, just wish a place so close was better
Watched them throwing great value fries from Walmart in the fryer, no to mention the wait was about an hour never got my food because I was told after waiting 30 minutes I would have to wait another 20 to order and they were empty I was third in line.
Employee dressed like a slob not clean shaven and he did not even know if he had any fresh bakers My potato was hard as a rock
A $25 pulled pork sandwich that could be more accurately a pork fat sandwich. Approx 95% was chunks of fat...not meat!
We grew up in Texas. This food made us sick. It's a very bad experience. Do not waste your money on over priced bbq.
The employee who helped did not even know if he had FRESH bakers !! I asked for brisket it was extremely dry I said no green onions as I have an allergy did he care Nope !! No utensils to eat with . He did not know how to upsell or ask if I wanted a big pink cup now I’m a baked potato snob and I wanted something that I could enjoy for 2 days . But due to the employee cross contaminating my food cause I can taste diff meats on this plus green onions I can not eat it The employee dressed like a slob had a scruffy beard , which is against health code policy’s he needs to wear a beard net . This place has def gone down hill and I used to do a ton of catering from this place but no longer Potato was hard as a rock that means it was not done properly or its old !!!
Was not happy about my food first it says curbside pickup there was not they ask for your license plates but they don’t come out I went in to see if my food was done it was not ready so I waited they told me the bag ripped so she was placing it in a new one I walked out to find none of my sides were in there and everything was dry no sauce so I went back in and they were so surprised, that none of my sides were in there, which is weird because they were barely packing it on top of that they were out of dinner rolls, which online it says dinner rolls, which they didn’t even tell me about it until I went back in there to let them know that it wasn’t in there and then they said there out the Togo boxes were so messy, and full of grease and everything like they were just whippeing it together mind you I spent almost $60 something dollars on this meal upon getting home everything was just so disgusting. The fries were soggy and cold, which she just gave me fries because they had forgotten them. They gave me hard pieces of meat it’s not even edible the big potato was hard and dry I would not eat there again nor recommend this place my sandwich was A pulled pork sandwich dry no sauce no pickles and onions. I got none of that. was not happy about my order the potato was $13 bucks to the meat was so hard not edible
Speaking to many food delivery drivers I can tell you that most will not accept orders from Dickey's Barbecue. First, the store is dirty and so are the staff. Black fingernail polish on a member who didn't have gloves on. Dirty shirts (uniforms) are common place. When picking up an order you are requested to sign a receipt before you get the order? The order is not properly bagged and ALWAYS has meat stains on the outside of the bag. I literally saw a member walk into a refrigerated cooler, graban an opened carton of potato salad, picked up a used scoop, and dished out the salad right in front of customers. He had potato salad on his hand, handed the delivery bag and it has potato salad on it. We deliver your food and when items are missing it is not our fault. Hire better staff. Look at the pictures.

*2nd update. It has been some time since I emailed and have yet to receive any type of response. Ridiculous. *CAME BACK TO UPDATE, MY FAMILY HAS BEEN SHOWING SIGNS OF FOOD POISONING. Will be contacting the health department! * The service was friendly but the restaurant was filthy. After ordering is when I began to notice. First with the bathrooms, both were extremely dirty, toilets disgusting. Bodily fluids on the walls. Which led to me assumes how the clean the employees are with the rest of the establishment. The tables we’re not wiped the sodas fountain was sticky. I was going to get tea as a beverage but it looked like it hadn’t be cleaned in a while. My food was already served before I could process my thoughts for a refund. I was afraid to finish my meal after a couple bites off the thought of food poisoning. Upon entering staff where leaning around which could be time for a deep cleaning. Save yourself the trouble go elsewhere.
Order was not made right, didn't notice until I had got back to the office. This was a to go order, a bit upset about it, nothing I could do at that point you know? I feel they should better keep an eye on their orders as they make them..
First and last time. Ribs are so salty it’s unbearable. Binned most of the order and previously never wasted a rib in my life. Also, virtually impossible to pay on screen without leaving a 15% tip, very aggressive approach to a service that typically doesn’t require tipping.
