Friendly owners, meticulous cleanliness, impeccable breakfasts, the best aperitifs, extraordinarily delicious sandwiches, etc. The Val d'Aveto bar is all this, and more. This place is something more; you truly feel at the center of attention in a familiar yet highly professional atmosphere. And Stefano never holds back on a few good tips for the many mushroom hunters who frequent it... A true added value and yet another reason to frequent this magnificent establishment, run by the Ricci-Brizzolara family.

The bar offers a wide choice of piadinas, focaccias or sandwiches. The one I ate was very good. The service was fast and the girl is kind. You can eat inside or outside on benches in the shade. Prices are normal.

Fast service, even though the bar is crowded. Lots of people passing through, as Rezzoaglio (we're in the Aveto Valley) hosts people passing through on their way to the Trebbia Valley. Coffee costs one euro. Cappuccino and marocchino are a little more expensive than in Genoa. The homemade brioches are very good...I think they're made with frozen puff pastry and baked in the oven, then served hot. The only downside is the restroom: squat toilet, but very clean. You can buy various passes... fishing in the reserve, mushroom picking.

This is a bar I've known for about 60 years, when I used to arrive on the old Fiumana Bella bus from Milan. The previous owners were very friendly and helpful, and the younger owners are just as welcoming. The cappuccino is excellent, and the croissants are almost always warm. Aperitifs are always accompanied by appetizers; the toasted sandwiches are unique and delicious, as are the panini and the Santo Stefano focaccia. A stop at this bar is definitely recommended. I recommend trying the spuma, which evokes a flavor of yesteryear.
