Food is always pretty good, one of the better choices on campus for me and my friends. I like the variety of sauces and great vegetable options. Def recommend
Not ashamed to say that I have gone 40 minutes out of my way to get my bowl fix. Just hoping they expand outside of colleges because it’s better than all the other halal spots around DFW
Great options for the student body at UTD location. Highly recommended! Busy spot and the speed of service moves quickly.
One of the best places on campus for Hot BBQ chicken. The best food option in the SU.
I like the grilled chicken over here topped it with veggies and hot white sauce as the dressing
Great place to come and enjoy a meal after your social economics class. The grill guru alexis cooks the chicken just right every time! Also Shout out to Leon, Marcus and the team for holding it down as well❤️❤️❤️
food is good but one time I found bits of wax paper in my food but I still ate it anyways because I love halal shack. There's this one lady who works the fastest when assembling rice bowls and I think she deserves a raise.
Best place to get a meal exchange from. You can basically make a super filling protein/fiber bowl with a drink.
The deaf guy is the great character to look up to as well food is perfect for my stomach I thankful for this guy

The food is amazing and the quantity is good. The falafel and hot sauce compliment the food well.
Too much condiments on white rice. It tastes weird. Chicken also tastes weird. And it's expensive. $9.19 dlls for a rice bowl with chicken. Stop taking advantage of college students money :(
The food is decent, but it's overpriced for what you get. Over the years, the portions have noticeably gotten smaller. Honestly, if you're looking for halal food, you're better off going elsewhere. I only order from here when I have no other options left.

For “mediterranean street food” this is really disappointing. I’m from New York and not only are the chicken and rice plates cheaper but they fill your plate up to the brim. Over here I got a plate and it was like $11 for a conservative spoonful of chicken and a clump of brown rice. They aren’t even generous with there toppings. An absolute disgrace to the cart food scene there trying to bring. If all you care about is the portion control and profit then it will show and it shows in how disgusting the food also tastes. New Yorker stamp of disapproval. You get 2 stars for existing.

I got a Gyro. Paid slightly more than 9 bucks. I don't know why, but I didn't find it appetizing at all. Actually I felt ripped off. Look at the photo. This is before I took a single bite. That is what I got. I don't know if it is because you guys have new employees or something, but I would definitely put that money to better use next time. Just because students come to you doesn't mean they always will.

Rude staff. Talked very inappropriately. Would definitely suggest other restaurants.
Astaghfarallah! The one brown guy with glasses needs to give more gryo next time, stop being so conservative we r at a libral camus. Anayways the only reason I ate this un-natural food was because it came with my meal plan and it was halal. Please improve your sauces. And get better employees. Because of this shack I cant eat any type of food like this, I still have nightmare over the smell in student union.
Good place to eat if you enjoy getting your money wasted.
The customer service was unsatisfactory. I found something in my food and when I asked for help, I received a sarcastic remark. Furthermore, nothing was done to resolve the issue, and I was not offered an alternative or a refund even though I had not touched the food.
Bruh, just don't come here. It's a waste of time, money, and business. Some of the meat is not even Zabiha, so it is extremely misleading to those who only eat Zabiha. The flavor is distasteful and weird. If the word "stingy and cheap" had a personification, it would be the workers here! I've never seen such conservative down-sized portions. You do NOT get your money's worth. If I could give this negative stars, I most certainly would. If you really want a decent New York Style Halal Cart meal, "Chopped Halal Grill" is right by North Side. Take your money there. I pray Halal Shack goes out of business one day. Absolute disgrace to both the Halal Cart Genre and Halal Food in general. Horrendous!
Bought a rice bowl from them and found a very large piece of hair in my food mid way whilst eating. It was red and I had black hair so I went to tell them and they immediately told me that "no one working there during that shift had red hair". Didn't offer me a second bowl or even a refund. Very poor customer service :[
Chopped halal grill way better, people here so stingy they give u barely any protein, guys at chopped give u way more for just a lil over the price at halal shack. Also some lady got mad at the sever behind the counter and in a fit of rage threw a crazy amount of white sauce that I didn't ask for on my rice bowl and walked away
