Wonderful Mexican restaurant in the heart of Ridgewood. Friendly service, fresh and yummy Mexican dishes great for a family gathering, special celebration, or just to hang out with friends. I recall local schools would take students here for a flavorful field trip at year-end and it was a much anticipated event. Hope they still do this as it was great fun for the classes!

Just love this place! Karaoke Fridays is the best. The musician that sings is funny and friendly. The food is incredible everytime. Drinks are great too. Decent prices also.

The food use to be better last year. It tasted different and you got more food for your money. Now the food is a little bit and it tastes different. Such a Great Find! We randomly stumbled across Fajita Sunrise in Ridgewood, and wow, what a find. If you’re into authentic Mexican food and a good time, this place is a must. We went on a Sunday, and they had karaoke going, so we grabbed seats at the bar. Frank, the bartender, was amazing—super friendly, and the drinks he made? Perfect. The service overall was just awesome. We also found out they have happy hour Monday-Friday from 12-7 PM, and on Monday-Wednesday, it’s happy hour all night. If you’re in Ridgewood, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Great food, amazing drinks, and such a fun vibe.

We were in the neighborhood and decided to stop in. Fajitas is a Very nice and quiet restaurant. Slow pace atmosphere. We went at 2:45pm on Wednesday. Server was on point always checking in on us. The food was fabulous… hot, tasty & delicious. We will definitely be back to visit. Make sure you order before 2:55pm for lunch menu. The menu says 3pm but waitress said you cant order lunch past 2:55pm.

This restaurant has a great ambiance, can be noisy so if you want something romantic and quiet this won’t be for you. This is a great restaurant to enjoy delicious cocktails and food. I came here with my partner and I had the super chimichanga and she had 3 chicken tacos. We definitely enjoyed the live performance, the male singer had a beautiful voice! I thought it was music playing from somewhere until I turned around and noticed his performance! Overall 5 stars because they had my favorite whiskey “Gentleman Jack”, food was very fulfilling, and server was fast and helpful.

Beautiful interior, and decorations. The attention from waiters is great! The music and the food is wonderful. I ordered Guacamole mojaquete. Mojaquete is a urn-like pot, made of clay. I might be wrong, so, feel free to correct me if knowledgable about wares. Also ordered Acapulco. A grilled combination of different meats consisting of Chicken, Steak, Chorizo, and Shrimp, served on a mini grille like, ware, still sizzling!. Once at table, they serve free nacho chips of different colors with a great tasting salsa. So good! I recommend this place. Wonderful for family dinner especially at night where the disco like balls in the ceiling are turned on, displaying many colors.

The food was small portion and the shrimp was not hot rice was cold. No vegetables came with the order just 1 cup of rice and a few shrimp with garlic . Great Drinks !!!! Great service . I would go back but not order that !!

Fajitas Sunrise gets 4 stars from us on food and drinks (OMG THOSE DRINKS) alone. We've eaten here a bunch over the years, pre-, during and post-pandemic - and the food is consistent quality. This is more comida familia than "upscale Mexican" (not that I quite understand that concept to begin with). It can get expensive (OMG THOSE DRINKS) - and during happy hour, etc. the music can get LOUD, so plan accordingly.

The food was amazing. The portions were a bit small for the price, but it was worth it. The only problem that I had was that there was only one waitress there with a close to packed restaurant. So service was pretty slow.

Happy hour from 2pm to 7pm (daily) is EVERYTHING here. Last call is 6:50 so don't think you can show up at 6:55 demanding happy hour prices. Piña colada was really good and only $5 along with a few other drink choices; don't get the pitcher because it tastes watered down. You have to sit at the bar to get the happy hour special but it's worth it to get a drink or 2 with a friend or to "pregame" before your squad is ready to eat because of the price. The "beef" flautas look like pulled steak and had a weird taste so I'm glad I chose chicken for mine. Service is good, I'd say, feels like Ridgewood. I rated 4 stars because of the taste of the overpriced guac dip and nauseating taste of the beef; the rest of the food was delicious.

Food is good and one of the few places nearby you can get a decent parrillada, the ambience in Mother’s Day is really nice (they had mariachi singers) and overall pretty good

I ordered the wings with fries, it was good. The Sangria was delicious and so was the Piña Colada. We ate outside. The service is great. I liked the music they were playing inside but we couldn't dine inside without our vaccination cards.

My prior visits here had (at best) mediocre food & service. I recently received a gift certificate for Fajitas Sunrise, so I returned to a place I wouldn't otherwise. I was pleasantly surprised. I experienced good service & very nice meal. There are still a few other options for better Mexican food nearby, but on my recent visit, I had a nice meal.

Food was overall good. They had a guy singing which was fun. My only issue was that more dishes didn't come with rice and beans. Didn't feel like paying another $8 to get a little rice and beans with my food. But still the food was great.

The experience was SO SO The Guacamole you can have it made in front of you or from a already made, I suggest let them make it in front of you better taste and experience The Steak Fajitas I do not recommend, they do put enough meat but not quality meat and beef cuts vary in taste, you might as well get the chicken because they can't put something else. I ordered the orchata and it was tasty so that is a good thing The service is ok, the waiting for the waiter is a thing everywhere so... The one downside that I've had is that we were a group of 6 and after we paid we were asked to leave because someone else is waiting, not to blame them but no one likes to be told to leave right after the check is paid.

The food is decent, not as outstanding as I was led to believe. Be advised: They charge for everything! A refill of salsa and chips is $4, plus if you use a credit card it's a 3% additional charge. The margaritas tasted like a store bought mix, but the food did taste fresh and the fajitas are seasoned well. However, overall, made it was a 3/5. If you want ok Mexican and don't feel like searching outside of your neighborhood, this suits. Otherwise, you can find better for the same price.

Overall the food was ok. I started with the guac and quesadilla which were good. For entree I had the mixed fajitas which consist of chicken, steak and shrimp; to me it a well seasoned but dry. I also did not like the fact that it was not served with rice and beans, great disappointment. They should really work on improving their fajitas since that's what they are named after. To drink I had a strawberry mojito which were good and strong. This restaurant offers a nice atmosphere. Seems like a cool place to go to after Covid-19 to grab an app and drinks. I would give them another try but I won't order the fajitas. Just a heads up the restaurant charges a 4% fee for using a credit card, so remember to bring cash.

This place looks so old and dirty but the drinks and food are so good. I been going here for quite a while and the bartender sometimes adds the tip to a party of 2 and sometimes she don’t. Hands down to Heidy she took good care of me and my partne on a Saturday night that she was covering the usual bartender. If it was up to me I will ask the owner to keep Heidy as the main bar tender for Friday’s and Saturday nights. Heidy made sure to keep her customers Happy with great customer service skills before she tried to make money out of us. Haidy if this was my restaurant I would love to have more employees like you. Thank you so much for taking care of my partner and me on a Saturday night that you were covering. I’m a big fan of customer service and you went above and beyond. Thank you for being such a wonderful employee.

Food was good. Atmosphere was good. Service was soo slow. We had a party of 15 people and that was too much for 1 server. I ordered 1 Heineken and it took over 15min to get it. The sodas and mix drinks came out 1st. I almost thought she (the server) forgot about my beer. Then after I drank it I sat there with an empty bottle of beer. Since I was chatting with family I missed a few opportunities to ask her for another but she never asked if I wanted another one either (like they do in restaurants). That was my experience, my family's wasn't any better. Both my nephews ordered nachos (1 steak and 1 chicken) 1 came out right away (chicken) and the other came out with the entree. It was just a mess. By the end we just wanted to get the heck out of there.

The servers were OK, not friendly or mean just doing their jobs. The beans and cheese tasted like they came straight out of a can and were definitely not authentic.Same with the mole sauce. Didn't taste bad, but not made on site.The chips and salsa were pretty tasty but you have to pay for a refill..which is fine, but eh not worth it. We thought the price was expensive considering the quality of the food. I wont be returning. The best part was the karaoke singing because it wasn't bad and it was entertaining. There are many other authentic places to eat authentic food and/or delicious food.

The space was nicely decorated, spacious, and clean. The staff was friendly and okay with attentiveness. The frozen passion fruit and strawberry margaritas were delicious! The food servings are small for the prices. The seasoning was okay, although I've had better. I would come back to this place and give other items on the menu a try.

This place used to be good, but it had gone down hill very fast. The food quality is not very good. I ordered a vegetarian meal and told the waitress I didn't each meat. While eating I found a piece of something strange on my plate. It looked like it came off a cleaning brush. The waitress said it was a piece of beef...lol...yea. And then she did not offer a discount on the plate or an apology. Also this place has a "B Rating" now. I wish we noticed before we ordered.

First a bottle of water was $3 dollars without warning. The waitress will make you feel uncomfortable insisting that you place more on your order. The food was over priced for what it was. Not authentic at all. Chipotle would have tasted better or Moe's. If you used a credit card they will charge you an extra dollar without warning. Will probably have diarrhea later.

I was here on monday i placed an order for pick up for steak nachos and two frozen margaritas. The steak appeared as if it was ground beef The margaritas were over frozen looked like whipped cream. it seems as if the bartender wasn't maintaining the machine properly. I called back and returned the drinks i asked for a refund but the bartender seemed confused as if she were new so the waiter had to help They refused to give me a refund instead offered store credit or to replace the drinks

I've been here before but forgot all about it. We came on a friday night for my friend's birthday. Food is average. Service is less than desirable. The waitress were extremely rude to one my friend who got there a bit earlier than the reserved time. Instead of asking her to wait at the bar if the table was not ready, they asked her to wait on the street. Then I came and we sat at the bar. We ordered happy hour drinks and appetizers but we were told we couldn't take it to our table. Then we were told happy hour was until 7pm and it was just past 6:30 but they wouldn't honor. They came with a stupid excuse that happy hour was only at the bar and not valid for a reserved table. I called BS. After we order food the waitress was checking on us every 10 mins so we could order more regular price drinks. The only thing i like was thar they sing you happy birthday, but most restaurants do that. They were supposed to have live music but the guy only sang a few songs.

I took my family of 6 to dinner I loved the environment of the mariachi. But there is a lady that just because we ware drinking she tried to over charge me 100.00 I double check the receipt I made the math numbers warent adding up so I told her she was like nope but let me check so she did and then said she didn't know where the 100.00 came from but she wrote it down. The prices really exaggerated for what you get the drink are water down honestly it's the first and last time I have taken my family other places and even order more and the bill never comes wrong but it's okay I'm just letting people know to please double Check your bill don't let these waitress fool you just because you're drinking.

Mixed alcoholic drinks were watered down. Food was not very flavorful. There are many much better options near by. Had to literally scream to talk to someone next you do to how loud music was in establishment. Overpiced, below par food and terrible drink making. Not worth it.

They made a mistake with our order, argued aggressively the order they gave us what we ordered (it wasn't...). Then they brought us a check after we ate what we didn't order (for the sake of not arguing since all we wanted was to eat what we ordered, not what she brought us, and really - we should've walked out right then) where the waitress clearly wrote what we ordered - correctly.

I order Grillchicken burrito To be picked up once I get home Open the burrito it's not grill I called the place because it's like 10 blocks away from home and parking is not easy. This girl answers the phone the one who took my order to begin with. And she's arguing with me that is a grill burrito when its literally I have the burrito in front of me and it's clearly not grill that thing that pisses me more is that you pay $2 for the chicken to be grill . server is Worst than the food.

Steak was heavily undercooked even though I asked for medium. Flavor just wasn’t there and the food in general was not tasty. And it is SO overpriced. I don’t recommend it

I have gone here a number of times with family, friends, even with my boyfriend for date night. The staff has always been friendly and cool, the last time I came here with my family and bf. The manager I guess he had a bad day, and he was very rude to us. Very very unprofessional, and was trying to kick us out of our table to go to the bar. I wanted to play a song and they put it very very low, my mom got so upset she told him off and we didn't understand because we have been loyal customers and loved their food. But we will not be going anymore because the last experience we had. Plus there are way better restaurants to try so we will take our money elsewhere :)

I used to love this place but last wk I had a very bad experience. The waitress was extremely rude with one of my friends in front of his wife, kids and my parents. She told him " Are you going to behave today? Because I don't want to have problems". She kept repeating the same over and over. She didn't like that the previous time they went there he asked her for a charge of $7.00 ( for sharing ) when they didn't share. They refuse to take off of the bill and he was questioning that. This is not a reason for a waitress to embarrass a customer in front of his family. Recommendation for this place: 0 Don't even bother !

I've been in a couple times, and I've ordered to go, and I've always been very underwhelmed by FS. The service is quite slow, the drinks are very sweet and not very strong, and the food is mediocre at best. I want it to be good because I love Mexican food an it's so close, but it's so over priced for what it is. Fajitas don't even come with rice and beans. AND, last time I went in, they charged me a 3% fee for paying with a card, and when I asked why, the owner said "it's business." Then proceeded to sing karaoke very off key while people were eating. If that's your definition of ambiance and service, I'll go to the burrito place across the street and spend a lot less.

Disgusting and load place ! Working on weekends till 2-3 am and daily till 10:30-11:30 ! We called 311 and 911 nobody help to ship this up so late with annoying music ! This place needs to be underground or far from homes! They don’t give calm mood at night ! We will try to work with authorities of the city show them Law and respect !

I visited this restaurant a few years ago and the service/food and drinks were amazing; the atmosphere was appealing but after not having been here in a while, I must say I'm disappointed. I asked for a glass of water and my glass had red lipstick all around the rim. I find the menu to be overpriced and the food wasn't all that great. My plate was served cold and not to mention the loud obnoxious karaoke music.

Music was way too loud where we couldn't have a conversation and service is so slow!! We were over charged and our orders were wrong. When I asked about the bill, the waitress couldn't even break it down, i asked for the manager and what a coincidence he just left. The couple next to us complained about the same problem. Definitely would never return and my stomach is killing me, I'm writing this review on the throne as we speak... #%$@ Fajita sunrise!!

I would like a tip refund as Last night was the first time I had an terrible experience from a worker and from the condescending way they spoke to me. I had asked the waitress (larger women wearing white, not the small lady with glasses) about the extra oder of tortillas I requested. She then explained the extra order was across from me next to my step dad who thought it was his, as it was left in front of him. I explained that neither him nor I would have know that unless it was communicated by her or the food runner. The waitress then got upset that I had pointed the error in communication and said I should have know based on my step dads order. I don’t work there, I wouldn’t know what gets an order of tortillas or not. She condescendingly stated that because the plate had rice I should have known and rolled her eyes, btw my plate also had rice. I have gone to Fajita Sunrise countless times over the last few years. I probably won’t be returning anymore even though we love the food there. I don’t understand why she couldn’t have just brought me another order of tortillas. She mentioned she would get me more but that we would get changed. I don’t think it would have been hard for her to just offer to get me more based on the unintended mistake. We were spending over $100 already, I know as a previous restaurant supervisor that those 4 individual tortillas are more than worth being given out to a table spending money. After all that occurred the waitress did not ask if we wanted or needed anything else, she simply came to the table and dropped of the check like saying get out. From then the rest of the staff were the ones that were coming by instead until we left. I hope someone sees this because I do not agree with the bill having a tip added on its own, the service was not great, as a previous tip employee tips are additional based a good experience.

Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience during karaoke night at this restaurant in Queens. I came with a friend for a night of music and dinner, but the atmosphere quickly turned sour due to disruptive behavior that was not addressed by staff or the host. While the karaoke host—dressed in a Mariachi outfit—was friendly and enthusiastic, he failed to manage the event properly. One particular group of guests, especially a woman who seemed to be intoxicated, completely dominated the microphone and behaved in a way that was not only disrespectful to other singers but disruptive to everyone dining. This woman repeatedly screamed into the microphone, interrupted other performers (myself included), and even grabbed the second mic to yell over songs being performed. This isn't just about singing ability—this was full-on shouting. I am a trained musician, and I know the difference between passionate singing and vocal damage-inducing screaming. Karaoke should be a space for fun and shared enjoyment, not chaos and attention-seeking. The worst part? No one from the staff or management intervened. Not the karaoke host. Not the restaurant manager. It was uncomfortable, unpleasant, and frankly disrespectful to every other guest in the room trying to enjoy their meal or performance. I didn’t come for validation; I came to share music and practice in a supportive space. But this felt more like being ambushed by someone trying to hijack the night. The host and restaurant should take more responsibility in ensuring that everyone gets a fair and respectful experience—not just whoever yells the loudest. This is not just about karaoke etiquette. It’s about basic courtesy in a public space. I hope the management starts taking these situations seriously. Just because someone is loud or with a big group doesn’t mean they should be allowed to ruin the night for others.

Well unfortunately I don’t think I will order from here again. Few times I’ve ordered their chicken soup which was great but that was 2years ago. I went for drinks a few years back for 5 de Mayo & sadly no seats so My party and I had to drink standing but thankfully the drinks were great and I had a nice time. Last month in April I tried a dish and it was disgusting. So bad that I ended up getting nauseous and threw up! Their guacamole had old avocados. The dish overall had horrible seasoning. I’m not sure if I even want to come back here and just come for drinks.

Went here on 10/06/2021 with family the food was not the best seems like they just microwave it and my brother was eating an empanada we got as an appetizer and this is what was in the empanada a nasty long hair don’t go here this is proof they don’t wear hair nets when working with food.
