Best dinner in Riverside great food and staff

I like this place and so do my grandchildren. Brandon's Diner offers American, Italian and Mexican cuisine and a wide selection of very reasonably priced menus for brunch, lunch and dinner to choose from. Try it next time you are in the area. It is pretty close to Bowlero also so if you're feeling hungry, still thirsty for beer or both after bowling this is a very good place to go. Enjoy!

First time here and it was fantastic. Server was very friendly. I had the club sandwich and it was made with real chicken, not processed chicken. Tasted so good! Will definitely come back.

I had the beef dip and onion rings. It was perfectly cooked and very good. My daughter had the fish and chips and she said hers was good as well. Generous portions.

The waitress took awhile to take our order. She told us she would be right back. Took another 10 min before she came back. The food was delish. Brandon's never seems to fail. To have a wife variety of food items, so don't hesitate to go there weekly or daily. Great food good portions = great value.

Made a reservation fort a large group and had great service on a Saturday morning. Delicious food and great team.

Wish I could give this place higher than 5stars. The pancakes were fluffy and awesome. What set them over the top was the warm syrup. The biscuits in the biscuit and gravy were so fresh. My only regret is that I don’t live close this place.

Was at the hospital all day and went to brandons to relax and eat. They were friendly and sat us right away. Had a great meal, they serve breakfast all day i had an omelet that came with 2 sides. Nice place for good food and to relax.

The food was good for the whole party. Our waitress Danielle did an amazing job, especially for how busy it was.

This place is awesome. The Chili bean omelette was the best I've ever had. Added jalapenos and sour cream. The waitress let me sample the chili to make sure it was what I wanted. The Chili was full of flavor and meat. The avocado and cheese omelette was very good with big pieces of avocado on top. Hash browns and toast were very good. Biscuits and gravy on the side were very good as well. Order was taken fast and friendly and the food came out fast and hot. Waitresses we're hopping and very busy always moving, the place looked very clean. Definitely eat here again and highly recommend this place.

I ate a Country Fried Steak. It was OK, but a little bit of flavour would have been better. The staff was very friendly, good service and the atmosphere was very nice.

Have had a really great time here every time I have come and this time was no different. One of my good friends wanted to come here for an early birthday dinner which I turned into breakfast because lets face it, I can eat breakfast all day. Further reinforcing my bias is this establishment where they serve breakfast all day so yes I was in a good mood looking at the menu. I ordered strawberry/banana pancakes with hashbrowns and eggs. Typical maybe, but I like what I like. The real challenge was picking that over the french toast because their french toast looks ridiculously delicious. My biggest issue was that I didn't have the stomach capacity to order and finish several different breakfast items while we were there. Such a shame. Oh and before I forget, their coffee tastes pretty good too. Normally in my experience several places have the same tasting coffee...I actually pointed out the distinction to our server (Mari was her name, awesome server btw, I always enjoy someone with personality :)). If you still aren't curious to try this place out after reading all this then I apologize...your loss :-*

The food is amazing and if you are on a low carb diet they do protein style burgers. They also have breakfast all day and fresh fruit.

The food is very good. Their menu has loads of choices from breakfast (all day), sandwiches/burgers to salmon, steak and halibut dinners. Halibut is very good. You may want the cook to not cook the fish so well done. My husband. Frank, asked for easy cooking and it was perfect. Nice and juicy!!

Since the cost of living has gone up I've noticed a lot of places aren't open for early breakfast. But Brandon's is great food and still get a Bloody Mary.

Finally a Brandon’s Diner that has cooks that ACTUALLY make what you order. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and they were deliciously presented to me like how I remember Brandon’s Diner does. Unfortunately at the Fontana location, they dont make them as delicious as this location. I even asked for crispy hashbrowns inside & out and they did exactly what i said here!! The cooks are awesome kudos to them for actually doing what a customer requests!! Visited on 05/26/22 excellent job!

We've been coming here since they were across from the mall. They have great tacos and salsa at a great price on Tuesdays but my family, friends, and I frequent Brandon's for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and it's always good food and great service. Today I ordered the chicken chimichanga and the only thing wrong with it was that it was massive. I ate literally about a 1/4 and now I have dinner for the next few nights.

The service was quick. I liked that Savannah came by frequently to give me more water. The food was also great in portion, especially the twin enchiladas.

Genuinely the best diner in the IE!!! I ordered the crispy French toast with a plate of hash browns and half sausage half bacon! The food came out very quickly and it was hot and delicious. The servers were so kind and this is just a very lovely atmosphere with beautiful vibes. Thank you !!!

Found this fantastic, clean and efficiently run diner after they hosted the local High School senior breakfast, they treated the kids so well just had to go try it, and it took minutes to know this was a great spot to eat. That's a chicken fried steak w scrambled and hash browns. Best I've found in this area. The menu has many delicious options though like jalpaeno burgers, and a KILLER carrot cake ala mode to polish it off. Been back multiple times, just gets better every time. Amazing diner in Riverside. The service was very good. My meal was amazing and not to mention how cheap it was! ( In a good way ) $14 for 2 eggs, hash browns, 4 bacon strips AND gravy and biscuits. Normally not a big fan of biscuits and gravy but dang this place knows what it’s doing! I wish I lived closer so I could come back! Open one in Santa Ana please!!

This has been the best experience that I have encountered in a dinner. Five stars for our waitress Blanca. She made our lunch wonderful and was such a joy serving my family and I. The food was marvelous, and prepared in such a magnificent manner. I will be definitely eating her again. The Brandon’s dinner at the corner of Tyler and Indiana in Riverside is a must stop and eat place if you want good food and service.

Absolutely loved this place, the feel, the people, just amazing, our waitress was Heather and she was very friendly, with a great sense of humor she laughed with us, that was super cool, food is out of this world . It was our first time there, so we got the sampler plate, nachos ( their refried beans are so good), chicken quesadillas, chicken flautas,onion rings,mozzarella sticks,potatoe skins,and hot wings.. Everything was good. Meats are moist and full of flavor. Prices are also very reasonable. All around great experience... Thank you to the team!!!!!

Brandon's has always been great in all aspects clean, good music playing , interesting shows on the t.v.'s, Awesome staff & tasty food.

Lively and friendly breakfast place clearly popular with locals. Food was good and plentiful. There was a wait for a table even on a weekday morning and our food took a while to arrive after we ordered, but as I mentioned it was busy. Staff was attentive and quick with drink refills. Would definitely stop again next time I'm traveling between greater LA and Arizona.

This is a nice casual diner. It has a lot of menu choices and all the food is really excellent. I got a breakfast quesadilla and it was huge. I had lunch off of it for 2 more days after that. Another thing while some restaurants might have screens screens and more "atmosphere" , you can at least talk to each other over the table and hear each other. A definite plus for getting together casually.

Very delicious food and a huge selection. Prices are pretty fair compared to similar restaurants. On Saturday and Sunday you will have to wait anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hour depending on the size of your party. Staff is very friendly and professional. Recommend for the whole family.

Our food came out at a decent time. It took a very long time for our waiter to bring the check and even longer to check us out.

Only issue was that there weren't enough servers, so the wait times were kinda long. But I love the food, good quality diner fare with decent portions. I will definitely go back...often!

This place was honestly way better than I had expected. The service was friendly and swift, the prices very affordable, and the portions were pretty hefty. The coffee was also good and they kept it filled. Everything we had off the "mexican breakfast" menu was amazing. That said, the biscuits and gravy I also got were sadly what I would call "cafeteria grade". I would 100% eat here again but would order differently next time.

Food is always on point!! Delicious I have gone plenty of times for breakfast Service is usually amazing but the last time I went my friend and I got seated at a dirty table, waited 15 mins to get highchairs for our babies, and then another 10 mins just to put our drink order in. It wasn't busy, the servers were really nice. But I think they need extra help for the breakfast crowd!.

America breakfast is great , but the Mexican breakfast not so much .

My family and I have been going to Brandons for a few years now. They have great food and I missed the family atmosphere when the pandemic hit last year. After what you felt like forever, recently I went to have breakfast there. I got their big breakfast with ham and eggs, hash browns, and biscuits and gravy. It was like coming home! Of course I couldn't eat the whole thing, that would just be crazy. So I boxed up the rest and went home and made myself a fat breakfast burrito with the leftovers later that evening! Who doesn't like breakfast for dinner? Besides, Brandon's serves breakfast from opening to close too! They have great food, great service, and I am glad they survived the Covid restrictions. It was so sad to see so many good family businesses go away due to financial hardship. Thanks for hanging in there Brandon's!

Been coming a couple times a month for breakfast. Service and has always been good. Portions are large fresh and hot. Today we had a server named Danielle she was very put out to take care of us. Ask her for coffee refills and she doesn't come back. Food arrives and pancakes hard and cold ask her to get fresh ones and she has attitude. Grabs the plate tells the cook very loudly that I want new ones. Then throws the plate into the dish bin, breaking it. She never returned with my pancakes;had to ask another server to bring them to me. A server with an attitude doesn't make the experience enjoyable.

Party of 6 at noon. The place was full, noisy and hopping! Servings were very generous, and hot. But, my dish was a very generic enchilada and chili rellano(?spelling) with mild, probably canned sauce, lack luster rice and pretty bland beans. My son's breakfast burrito was huge and he said it was good, turkey club was good, bisquits and gravy not so much, breakfast sandwich ok. I would go again but not for Mexican dishes and not at noon! Service was awsome!

My wife’s pasta was good but my steak was lacking flavor and the rice and beans tasted very old. You can even see it in the color of the beans And my steak plate was $20 something dollars . I wouldn’t come back here for that plate

Consistency needed. Always had a great experience at Brandon's in Ontario off grove!!! Best crispy beef tacos plus salad bar!!!! Epic. Decided to try this Brandon's in Riverside (off Indiana) service was par, food not same constant to other Brandon's and fish taco seemed to be"frozen" tasting, came with lettuce instead of cabbage as other Brandon's.

Food was fresh and good portions. Easy access ftom street, lots of parking. Clean restaurant with a buffet. Kid friendly and kids menu. Daily specials. Service was very slow. Other than that we continue to come here for the specials and for the comfort food. The other locations all serve the same food and the food standards are consistent.

I ended up seating a myself as it was was took so long to seat me. I asked for the special on the menu board, was told it wasn't a choice. When 2 gentlemen came in, one asked her for the same thing, then she went and checked the board. So they changed it, she eventually apologized. I was hoping to have a good fun local breakfast spot! NOPE!

The 4.5 stars this place has speaks volumes about the kind of people who frequent this diner. 2 stars because the staff was friendly. Their food is not worth eating. Not worth the calories. Just sad. Soggy chilaquiles with flavorless salsa, unseasoned potatoes and hash browns, the most poorly balanced country scramble to date. And poorly flavored salsa. The sad part is that all of it is EASILY fixed with someone who knows how to cook. The people who made our food know how to heat up ingredients, not how to cook.

I ordered med rare for my t-bone steak and they gave me well-done steak. I just decided to eat it because I didn't want to wait for another steak. Plus the steak was 4 inches by 5 inches and was less than an inch thick 🤷🏻‍♀️

Food was edible, but not memorable. They undercooked the bacon and I don't normally send food back but did not want my son to eat it like that. They air fried it and brought it back overly burnt. When I asked for a new piece done right, the attitude our waiter gave was unbelievable. Server did attempt to recover by offering to refill our drinks with a smile. First review I've ever left on a restaurant, I don't normally take the time. You can do better for a dining experience. Drive on.

I give the food 2 stars, only because this place is a hit or miss. Ive been here 3x and only 1 time was my food well prepared. Im leaving this review because I went today and ordered pancakes with strawberries and turkey sausage and it tasted horrible. The strawberries were rotting and it tasted like they cooked the turkey sausage and pancakes using dish water. Hostesses seem annoyed and unwelcoming. They have a 1950s vibe/ not everyone is treated equally.

First we got sat quickly which was nice but then we’re left for 20 minutes with no service. Our first time trying this diner at this location and never again. The lady by the register made us wait to be seated while " busy at the computer" then she walked to the other side and kept working at the other computer, instead of sitting us down. Another waitress came and send us to a booth, she made us wait for drinks. We asked for 3 drinks and she only brought 2.. made my 9 year old wait longer. She never came back. We waited and waited, employees kept walking by us and didn't even bother to ask us if we were ready to order. I asked a busboy for our third drink and to let the server know we were ready to order and nothing.. we simply walked out. I've never felt so discriminated since all these employees are white, So I tipped the server at IHOP and made his day ( a Hispanic one, just like me) =)

Biscuits & gravey came out cold and tasted like powder. Had to inconvenience wait staff at counter for more coffee. Saturday morning July 13 when they opened. All the regulars were treated like kings. Truly crPpy customer service.

Came here today 7/3/25 to pick up my lunch order. The workers were just talking about my order among themselves, never directed me to sit down or wait. Took it upon myself to wait and while I was waiting I saw two workers an older woman and a man with glasses laughing over the news reporting on their TV how a transgender woman got attacked. Ending up leaving without my food. Never coming back here again.

Coffee was not good. Charged $4 and change for a regular coffee. $45 ish dollars for 2 people with the most basic diner food. Should have been $30 tops. No value, no great service. Not sure why anyone goes.
