The Cubano sandwich was delicious, and the server was fast and friendly. It was a hot day, and pretty warm inside. I highly rec the blueberry lemon margarita and the margarita flight. However we all agreed that the chicken wings were amazing‼️
5 Stars – A True Gem! The Silver Iguana exceeded all of my expectations! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, vibrant, and full of character. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every part of the experience was perfect. A special shoutout to Kate, who made our visit even more memorable with her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care — she truly went above and beyond. The menu offered a fantastic variety, and every dish we tried was packed with fresh flavors and creativity. The attention to detail, from presentation to taste, was outstanding. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual night out or a special occasion, The Silver Iguana is a must-visit. I can’t wait to come back!
I was told that this place was one of the best Mexican restaurants in Rochester, and it lived up to the hype! The chips were adorned with a smoky seasoning, and the salsa was flavorful. My burrito was packed with delicious fillings, and my husband enjoyed his carne asada quesadilla. The house margarita also as good as I was told. I look forward to returning!
These are THE BEST fish tacos in Rochester. Period. No if, ands, or buts. The tacos have 2 big pieces of crispy fried sea bass, crunchy slaw, creamy chipotle sauce, and mango chunks for a hint of sweetness in a flour tortilla. Satisfying and tasty. Highly recommend with an horchata to drink.
First time here, our food was amazing and came out quickly. We ordered a lot of different tacos and each was good and flavoured uniquely. We loved it so much that we ordered more to go home with! We also tried their desserts, and thought those were good too. Prices fair! One of the best parts of our dinner though was our server Ashley G. She literally could not have been better. Attentive, friendly, fast. I swear our waters never dropped below a half a glass. We ordered so much food and she got everything right. Cleared our numerous used plates promptly so the table never felt cluttered. We'd come back again just based on her service.
One of my favorite Sunday brunch spots! Their avocado toast is to die for and their mango tequilas are just amazing, period. Their tacos are decent but there’s a lot of variety in their menu than just tacos and tequilas. Always busy and lively at nights but is a great spot to take your friends out to brunches since it’s never too crowded in the day! Service and the place is awesome too. It’s a house that was turned into a restaurant.
Killer margs with fresh lime juice. The nachos are so good and so loaded with queso it’s dangerous. JK. Can you imagine? The birria consomé is so loaded with umami you’ll forget who your family voted for. Come have a marg and try to pretend you’re having a bad day. I dare ya!
Cool vibe and the friendliest bartenders like they are older sisters looking out for you. Cool Margarita flight displayed on an iguana. No iguanas were hurt in the serving of your meal. Great tacos especially the fish taco.
If I could give a place a 6 start review, this would be it. Excellent lunch time service and the food was easily the best Mexican food I have ever had in the area. Not your typical Tex-Mex at all and everything seems to be freshly made from scratch. Drinks were splendid as well. We will absolutely be back!
I can't say enough good things about this place, the food is exceptional! The spice can go from sweet to diablo hot! The drinks, specialty drinks, and tequila selection are superb! If you haven't been yet it should definitely be on your list of places to go.
First time here, we love it! You can tell they are serious about the dishes from the chicken wings. Will be back!
Ok, So These pictures does No justice on the food and drinks…everything here is AMAZING!! Even the Staff! Super friendly and very attentive. I’ve been so many times I’m officially a “regular” Lol. I recommend the Birria Tacos or Birria Quesadilla (The best in the town) and the Margaritas. The one posted below is the Pineapple Coconut Margarita but my absolute favorite is the Apple Cider Margarita (only sold in the fall ☹️) The only thing I would change is I wish the place was bigger because it gets crowded and packed quick but nothing terrible. I really love this place and I’ve even put my friends on. 10 out of 10 recommend!
This place is absolutely one of the greatest eating establishments on this side of the Genesee. I have been coming here for over a year now and it's always magnificent. The bartenders and servers are all incredible, the atmosphere is awesome, the food is to fight wars for. 11/10, highly recommend
First time ever diner and man am I upset with myself got not coming here sooner! From the cocktail to our final bite of our left overs today it did not disappoint. The current seasonal marg -blueberry, lemon & mint was so refreshing and flavorful I’m glad I got it. We got some appetizers as well, the pork nachos were really good, a must try. I went with 3 different tacos, shrimp, fish and carnitas. I ended up bringing the carnitas home because I was so full. The fish taco was really good, might have been my favorite one, and the carnitas even reheated was so flavorful. I like how each taco is stand alone with its own ingredients and not just a different protein with the same toppings as the others on the menu. I highly recommend checking this place out, the patio is great for the nicer weather we are having as well.
The breakfast burritos for Sunday brunch are just awesome. And don't forget about those great Bloody Mary's with tequila . . . Yummy. Great service, super friendly staff.
Probably my favorite restaurant in Rochester. Love all the creative cocktails and the decor. Servers are always friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Dining as a vegetarian, with my husband who isn't, is a breeze. They always have a delicious, elegant menu item or two for me to try. I've never had the same thing twice.
Lucky's is literally one of my newer favorite restaurants and bars in Rochester. The food is always fantastic and great quality, and everyone working there is wonderful. They have a lovely quirky yet classy vibe, the dimmed-light ambiance is perfect for a cute date at their full bar or celebrating something special with a group on the dining side. They have a rotating menu with both favorites that stick around and seasonal items that change frequently enough to keep you coming back. Their vegetarian dishes are fresh and light, really showcasing the unique flavors of what's in season. Their meats are usually high quality, cut very well, with steaks cooked to order. You can't go wrong with their market steak and lamb shank dishes. Order their home-cut fries with the steak and try their Lucky sauce! We love to share this one too if we want other things off the menu. The curry chicken wings are also *muah* delish. Love the sauce paired with them. I'm not sure if they still have the Chicken Nuggies (handmade chicken nuggets) those are a fave too. And last but not least their desserts are always on-point, like their current sweet-yet-tart strawberry rhubarb cheesecake. One of the highlights of the whole experience, I think, is when you get a chance to chat it up with their head bartender and the other gals and girls who stir and shake it up, making mystery drinks that surprise your tastebuds or keeping it cool with an old goody. They have all sorts of spirits and mixers, making for a really fun craft cocktail experience if you're open to try new things. I can't say more wonderful things about this restaurant. They've done such a great job here, and I hope you give them a try! P.S. There is parking and some outdoor seating, with a few restaurants across the street giving it a little Park Ave #2 vibe! You do want to go with plenty of time before the kitchen closes if you want food as sometimes it does get busy, especially on a weekend. Order extra to take home with you, Cheers!
Fantastic food! Service was great. We got seated upstairs...that we had no clue they had an upstairs dining area! The atmosphere was decent but it was very warm up there. So it made waiting for the food slightly uncomfortable. But overall, great place to eat and have fun! Definitely coming back for more
This place is just charming. I didn't have a chance to try cocktails at the bar, but the above bar selection looked extremely competent. The wait staff and food were great. If you like crispy well seasoned fries this place has them! Expect a casual pub-style mid-scale vibe with some interesting menu choices. Will be back for cocktails and to work my way through the menu.
Actually meant to grab lunch at the bar across the street but they were closed.. and so glad that was the case! They were slammed when we walked in at noon on a Sunday with no reservation during their brunch rush... We walked in right behind another party, but the hostess noticed that my mom is on oxygen and so very solicitously spoke with the party ahead of us and asked if they were okay if she let us cut the line. (!) (To be clear, we didn't ask for this favor, the hostess just had the sense to see that that would be the kind thing to do and took it upon herself to manage it. Our server was equally gracious!) That alone would have been worth me taking the time to leave a great review, but then the food, cocktails and service were all outstanding as well. My husband got the steak and eggs, which was not only ginormous, but perfectly cooked. I was jealous until I bit into the pub Burger, which has now ruined me for all other burgers. I assumed the "Lucky's Sauce" was the ketchup/mayo combo you find most places, but if it was they add something else that gives it a little bit of a zing that tops off the perfectly cooked burger with the perfect amount of enhancement. I could go on and on. We were there in the middle of a busy brunch and it was boisterous and loud - but not enough that it was difficult to hear each other. (I HATE going someplace where you have to shout to be heard, it just absolutely ruins things for me. At full peak volume it was clear we were sitting in the middle of a packed restaurant filled with happy tables, but at no point was it irritating or distracting. 💕) In short, I'm so glad the place we had intended to go was closed, I will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends alike! (We got the steak and eggs, pub Burger, French omelette with a side of toast, a bloody Mary, and two other cocktails that I forget the name of.. despite multiple rounds of them ;))
I went here with a friend. We got the queso and salsa for the chips. The salsa and chips were not complimentary. They had a special of ground beef and cheese wontons, these were over cooked and one was completely empty. I got the shrimp taco and the candied jalapeño beef one. Both were very good. I got a side of rice of beans and it wasn’t my favorite. The rice was a little crunchy. Our drinks were good and our service was great!
Went there after pride and was craving huevos rancheros. Friendly vibe, food was different, but good, my only minor complaint is that the food could have been hotter. It wasn't busy when we were there. I got huevos and my husband got chicken and churros. We will definitely go back again. Great selection of drinks.
The food was quite good and the staff friendly. The cowboy candy taco was the best one of the tacos. The chips were really tasty! Four stars instead of five because there just wasn’t enough spice or heat (except the cowboy candy with the jalapeños). The salsa was sweet and a couple of the tacos could use more flavor. Also, a cut of lime to squeeze over everything and some bottles of hot sauce on the tables would have helped the flavor profiles overall. Still very good and worth a trip!
Very good Mexican food with a homemade feel. Flavors are great, and the hot sauce selection is excellent. Portions are small, so get a side dish. I have heard it can be busy but lunchtime on a Wednesday had plenty of seating.
Sat outside with a group of 9. Server was amazing, even with a cast! Food was packed with flavor, heat, and the drinks were quick and delicious. I would give the food 5 stars, but the tortillas were soaked through, and served cold.
We've been to this spot twice in one week (our first and second time ever) and had two different food experiences. Tuesday trivia night was a blast: great energy, topics, content, host and even better food. The wings and lamb kebabs we had were both absolutely delicious. We came back on Friday and ordered the wings again. They came out a little colder than ideal, but to the staff’s credit, they swapped them out right away without any fuss. The replacement wings were just as fantastic as the first time: crispy, flavorful, orgasmic and satisfying. They were also accompanied (which we requested) by a delicious shrimp aioli sauce. We also tried the fish and chips this time, and unfortunately, it was a letdown. The coating was way too thick, and the fish inside was bland and lacking seasoning. Wouldn’t recommend that particular dish. That said, the service was excellent both times: friendly, responsive, and on point. We'll definitely be back for the trivia and wings, just not the fish and chips. Still recommend!
Great atmosphere. Amazing staff so friendly and helpful. My 15 year old daughter got the Curry Coconut Crepe but she didn't care for it. Thankfully they substituted another Angus burger which I ordered also. Perfectly cooked and tasty. I really liked the Lucy's sauce. And I can't not speak about the house cut french fries. Simply awesome!!!!
Food was great, drinks were alright (Keep the Change was the best one)! Bar took a while to get drinks out even being kind of dead on a Monday. I don’t know if I would go back
This place just makes no sense. From the drink list to the menu to the art work, it just doesn't come together. For example there are like 8 beers (blue light, Heineken, three heads ipa, and a couple other upstate local beers) or the menu that has two sandwiches (a pub burger and a tofu sonething or other). The smores desert was good. I just dont get what theyre going for... been there once, was ok, no reason to go back....
Very disappointing experience. There was a long thick string mixed into my fries. It looked like dental floss. Pointed it out to the waitress and she said she’d mention it to the cook. No apology or other acknowledgment. Told manager on the way out and she could not care less. Her response was, do you think it was a string from a towel? No apology from her either, which was all I was hoping for. Not impressed by the food either. Won’t be going back.
Ordered the fish and chips, heavily battered uncooked inside. Took almost 2 hours to receive our meal. Felt like our server was avoiding our table. I heard they recently hired a new chef. Wouldn't recommend going anytime soon till everything gets worked out. Cocktails were good.
