Big Boys BBQ

I tried the combo sandwich, and it was excellent. Both brisket and sausage on it were great. Service was good and the food came out fast. Price was very reasonable. I live too far to become a regular customer, but I would if I lived in Rockdale.

Checked this place out on the way home from the gym to get some protein in my system. I ordered something called the stack bowl and let me tell you, this was so tasty and will be my new go to for BBQ! The service was great and the owner was super friendly. If you have any doubts, leave em at the door because this place is 🔥🔥🔥

Awesome Sandwiches. Quarantine package alittle pricey for small amount gotten,coleslaw for my taste was gross. Mac and cheese not enough cheese. Sauce too tangy. Bbq had good flavor,ribs real good.

Big Boys is the bomb!!! We love it!! We have had the three meat and the bbq sandwiches and all was wonderful!! Potatoes salad and the beans yum! Anytime we can go we will be there! Wish they were open everyday!

Felt like the actual meat itself was bland, and so did the rest of my family.unfortunately I was pretty disappointed about chopped beef and brisket. My son loved barbecue chili dog or whatever it was called. All the sides were amazing. Best green beans I've ever had in my life!

I visited on Jan 2nd 2021 @ about 11:30 am. The service was great and I even smelled BBQ smoke when I entered the building. When I want BBQ "I want BBQ"!!!! Sadly what I got was seemingly boiled meat that was placed in the pit after it was done. The three stars is for the service.. not the food. Sorry, but I don't see smoke rings tho.

The BBQ was nothing to brag about as I would compare it to something you would taste at a small fair or rodeo type of event. I had the ribs and they were a bit tough and chewy,although they were flavorful. If your not a bbq sauce person (which you shouldn't be if your from Texas, in my opinion as it hides the true flavor of any good bbq) make sure you ask them not to put any on it as they coat their ribs with it. The sauce was somewhat tangy, not spicy and was okay. The manager is nice and meets you with a smile and greeting, and does tend to your needs. I will say the portions as it pertains to the sides are pretty large. My only gripe and the reason I gave 2 stars was that I found a small roach crawling out of the straw container/basket, towards the end of my meal which ruined the meal for me. To be fair the resturant was clean and it does sit next to an open lot/area so this may have played a role. If your in Rockdale, I say give it a chance as ther arent many (home cooked) type selections and I believe this may be the only bbq joint.

I've never heard of a BBQ place charging you extra for a little bit more sauce! 2.25 will make you well over a gallon of BBQ sauce! Will not be back!!!!!!! Since you decided to write back now!! Brett's BBQ gives you all the sauce you want to go for FREE!! So does rockdale meat market for FREE! You guys are the only ones charging 2.25 for half a cup of BBQ sauce! How come all of the other BBQ places we have been to just give it away since you purchase a lot of meat? Any way thanks for replying to the post!

Friendly staff and clean but the food lacked for us. Got brisket, sausage link, tater salad and banana pudding. Best things were the sausage and banana pudding; a stretch considering they taste like store bought sausage and standard banana pudding with way too many cookies. Update - Both my husband and I wound up sick as a dog. Not sure exact food that might've done it (meat, dessert or potato salad). Go elsewhere.

We got brisket, Mac n cheese and potato salad. The brisket was 90% fat and greasy. The Mac n cheese was canned and the “potato salad” was just cold mashed potatoes. $32 and I fed it to the dogs.

I just eat here today 10/20/23 I have to say the service was nice but the food was nothing like I ever tasted I am from lafayette louisiana and this has to be the worst bbq I have ever tasted I got the ribs brisket and sausage the brisket was dry like beef Jerky and I could taste the ashes on all if the food it was horrible the potato salad was ok I am not sure if this was just a off day but it's a no for me ...
