NEW no-tipping neighborhood cafe serving strawberry shortcake latte and delicious chocolate chip cookies in Journal Square. I really can’t stand tipping culture. I’d much rather see restaurants pay their workers a fair wage instead of shifting that responsibility onto customers. That’s why it warmed my heart to see Incontro Caffe stated that they pay their staff fairly right on their signage. They even removed the tipping screen from checkout. All menu prices are tax-included, and NO EXTRA CHARGE for alternative milk. More of this, please!! It’s not just a socially responsible community café. The drinks are actually delicious, and the vibes are chill and cozy. Friendly baristas, comfy seating, plenty of space, and a clean, gender-neutral bathroom. So lovely to have them in my neighborhood. ＊Strawberry Shortcake Latte $7 * I really enjoyed the strawberry shortcake latte, which came with strawberry purée, coffee, and a generous plop of whipped cream topped with dried strawberries. The sweetness level was just right. ＊Matcha Strawberry Latte $7 The matcha, on the other hand, leaned more bitter even with the strawberry purée, and I personally think it could’ve used a little less milk or more matcha powder. We even got to sample their Chocolate Chunk Cookie and damn, that was unbelievably delicious! It was a fat and chunky cookie packed with semi-sweet chocolate chips and sprinkled with sea salt. It seriously rivals those famous cookies in NYC.

Amazing coffee, pastries, service and vibes!!! We got the frozen coffee with an extra shot of espresso and chocolate drizzle and an iced americano. Tasted amazing!

Hands down the best café in the area! We tried the iced latte and strawberry matcha—both were absolutely delicious. Best thing was they don’t charge any extra for alt milk. The staff was polite and welcoming, and the cozy vibe made the experience even better.

I stumbled upon Incontro Caffè in Jersey City and I’m so glad I did! I tried the iced strawberry shortcake latte and it was absolutely delicious – sweet, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The café itself has such nice vibes, bright and cozy, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to whenever I’m in the area. Highly recommend checking it out!

Such a lovely establishment! The vibes are perfection, matcha has been delicious each time (I recommend the strawberry matcha Freddo), the place is spotless and meticulously designed. Journal square needs more places like Incontro. Highly recommend!

The strawberry matcha was so yummy and the customer service was amazing ☺️ I should’ve asked for her name! I placed my order online for pickup and walked over as soon as I ordered it. I got there and was told that my drinks were almost ready. I sat down and waited. I was expecting to be called but the lady behind the counter came over with my drinks instead! She even opened the door for me when I left. I couldn’t thank her enough, that was so sweet of her. Mind you this was my first time trying this place! 😊

I’ve been dying to find a cafe in JC that sells strawberry matches and I think I’ve hit the jackpot with this cafe!! 11/10 will be coming back again and again! Also the inside of the cafe is such a cute vibe!! The perfect space for working and chilling out.

Friendly owners. Pistachio latte is pretty tasty. Larger pastry selection on weekends. Space is clean, bright, and minimalistic. Street parking availability depends on time and day of week.

Incontro Cafe is a new spot and super cute. The almond croissant was mid to be honest but the butter croissant was good. The matcha was yummy and you could tell it was good quality, we had the strawberry matcha and really enjoyed it. I didn’t realize they were having a grand opening, otherwise I would have gone. Definitely a new little gem in Jersey City.

I had the delicious strawberry shortcake as well as a sample of the frozen espresso, prepared by the nicest barista ever. And they don’t charge extra for alt milks (why is that still a thing?). I live downtown but this is worth the walk!

This place has amazing coffee, easily my favorite spot in town! My top picks are their coffee and the matcha slushie, both are absolutely delicious. The ambience is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax or get some work done. It’s also a great spot to meet people. I’ve made some wonderful friends here. Highly recommend!

I had ordered Blueberry matcha, they have lots of varieties for matcha Eg. Raspberry, blueberry, mango. Menu is nicely curated but prices are a bit higher I felt. I went with easy on ice option and they filled my glass half full. The matcha was little more sugary
