A place with a simple atmosphere, the homemade pasta is a hallmark of its character, the warm atmosphere, and the prompt service make the visit pleasant in every way. The food is excellent, the portions are filling and not excessive. While waiting for the first course, they offer a tasting of homemade coppa and salami, which we obviously tried. In our case, we then ordered tagliatelle with duck, macaroni with chickpea and guanciale cream, grilled ribs, and cooked shoulder, finishing with tiramisu and salted caramel panna cotta. Needless to say, we ate well and left feeling full, but the price (per person) was truly reasonable for everything we ordered (including coffee and wine). Definitely worth trying again!

Excellent lunch at this trattoria. The first courses were exceptional. We ordered the ramekins to try several different ones, and I can say they were all delicious. The tagliatelle with duck was superb. I really enjoyed the carpaccio with parmesan and arugula. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price was fair for what we got. I recommend it!

This beautiful, unique, and special restaurant is located under the Borgoforte bridge in the Mantua area, near the banks of the Po River. Inside, the decor and atmosphere are reminiscent of home! A lovely family-run trattoria with countless panels filled with images, photos, famous quotes, Mantuan dialect sayings, and much more. The interior is quite small, but still has plenty of room for large tables, and there's also outdoor seating! Last night, I went out to dinner with some colleagues and we ate divinely traditional Mantuan dishes! We started with homemade salami and coppa accompanied by a tasty giardiniera salad. Next, we moved on to the first courses, where they brought us three serving trays, each with a different first course, each one more delicious than the last: tagliatelle with duck ragù, tagliatelle with gorgonzola and radicchio, and maccheroncini al torchio with creamed chickpeas and guanciale! So delicious! For second courses, they brought us three more serving trays: one with grilled ribs, another with salami cooked with tongue in celebration of the Ascension of the Lord, and another with pork shoulder cooked in Lambrusco, all accompanied by delicious baked potatoes! The evening was enlivened from start to finish by a delicious sparkling rosé, while we drank prosecco with dessert! The dessert selection was extensive, from traditional ones like panna cotta, tiramisu, and crostata to more typical and unique ones like sbrisolona accompanied by grappa or amaretti cake! The price was very good for the quantity served and the quality (with the peculiarity that they brought us the bill inside an empty rifle cartridge, unique and never seen before), and the staff was very helpful and friendly! Stop by, I highly recommend it!! You will be pleasantly surprised!!!

Trattoria alla buona sulle sponde del grande fiume, al confine tra l'Emilia e la Lombardia. Cucina casereccia e sincera. I primi piatti hanno una marcia in più. Ampio parcheggio di fronte.

Assolutamente nella media delle trattorie della zona,con una particolarità, piatti scarsi. Atmosfera da trattoria, servizio buono, proposte nella media, tempi di attesa nella media. Adatto a gruppi numerosi. Conto appena sopra le nostre aspettative.

​La Bigiolla non opera secondo le leggi della ristorazione, ma secondo quelle del pellegrinaggio mistico: è un santuario gastronomico edificato nel nulla della golena, dove l'assoluta normalità dei piatti viene elevata a dogma grazie alla liturgia dell'inaccessibilità. ​Siamo di fronte a una struttura che ha sostituito il "servizio al cliente" con il "rito di ammissione". L'assenza del menù cartaceo non è, come si potrebbe pensare, ruralità ritrovata, bensì una precisa tecnica di controllo clericale: elimina la prova scritta del contratto (il prezzo e la pietanza) e instaura una dipendenza oracolare dal cameriere. Il cliente, immerso nella nebbia padana, cessa di essere un avventore e diventa un fedele che deve meritarsi il pasto. Il fatto che il locale sia sempre pieno conferma la dinamica: la difficoltà di prenotazione non riflette la bontà dell'offerta, ma alimenta il desiderio di appartenenza alla cerchia degli "eletti" che sono riusciti a prenotare. ​La prova inconfutabile della natura teocratica del luogo risiede nella prossemica del personale. Il cameriere che elenca i piatti a voce non sta prendendo un'ordine, sta recitando un vangelo apocrifo con la scocciatura tipica dell'alto prelato costretto a spiegare la teologia ai contadini analfabeti. Il suo sguardo di sufficienza nel momento in cui esiti o chiedi di ripetere è la sanzione morale per la tua scarsa fede; l'altro cameriere, che non parla la lingua, funge da chierichetto muto, necessario solo per il passaggio dei paramenti sacri (i piatti), rafforzando l'idea che la comunicazione sia superflua in un luogo di preghiera. ​Il conto finale, che avverti subito superiore al valore di mercato per una zona così dispersa, non è una transazione commerciale ma una "decima" ecclesiastica. Non hai pagato per la bontà delle calorie ingerite o per l'ospitalità ricevuta, hai pagato per il privilegio di aver partecipato al rito. Esci con il dubbio cartesiano del "perché?", ignorando che la risposta è tautologica: il successo del culto si basa proprio sull'assenza di un miracolo verificabile.

We absolutely can't stand it. Traveling miles for lunch in a Mantua restaurant known for its excellence and being disappointed. A restaurant near the banks of the Po River, the interior very messy, the exterior very simple. They put us in the arena, it felt like a scorching hell full of flies. The winter dishes, served at 33 degrees Celsius, were of very poor quality; we couldn't even finish the desserts. I won't be back, too bad.

Tortelloni buoni, secondi non pervenuti... nonostante varie chiamate il cameriere non è venuto al tavolo. Sicuramente ci sono varie motivazioni per il fatto che non è riuscito a venire...Nel dubbio non ci andrò più così nessuno avrà più problemi. Grazie per il pranzo!!
