I was staying in the area on business and this little gem really hit the spot. Family owned and operated and it shows! The food is prepared just like they would at home. Great flavors and friendly service! I forgot to take a picture of my plate because I got busy eating when it came out, LOL! The barracho beans are wonderful and bold, but not to spicy. They're just right. Chips and salsa had great flavor and the chili on the enchiladas really hit the spot! After you're done with dinner, go next door to the Long Branch Saloon (it's the same owners 😉). I'll definitely stop back in the next time I'm in the area!

Cute little restaurant. Quick service and friendly. Got the Migas and tasted good. Simple hash browns served as the potatoes and chips were soft so if you want that verses crunchy. Priced well.

This location was a good spot to check out. The food was delicious, and the service was nice and attentive. The dining area is small, so it can get cramped inside, but the only thing stopping it from being 5 stars was the flour tortillas. Reading about this location having authentic flour tortillas gave us more reason to try this location out, but they don't use homemade style anymore, which is a bummer. Other than that, this place is worth a try.

Small quaint place seats about 25 people. Friendly. Reasonably priced. Chips and salsa are not complimentary you pay $3.95. I was disappointed in that. I ordered the Chalupas with beans and cheese that's exactly what it was, no lettuce or tomatoes just plain. But it was all good so cant complain about that. May try again when I'm not starving!😊

The holy trinity, chips, queso, and salsa, were delicious. The main course was a different story. Our table had ordered a mixture of enchiladas and fajitas. The plates came out piping hot, but the flavor was disappointing. The fajitas reeked of some kind of BBQ sauce and did not taste. The typical tex-mex flavor was not present.

Would not go here if you are looking for authentic tex mex food.. Its more Tex than Mex. Fake tortillas.. Potatoes had a strange taste.. beans had no flavor. Try other places. This is not mexican food. They should rebrand. They have a target audience but it isnt true mexican food lovers.

Small cute little place. I wasn't impressed by the food 😕 ranchero sauce was a bit plain. Only the flour tortillas are homemade. The coffee was good. Service was good, but it was just one waitress running the whole place by herself, and she was very overwhelmed and needed help.

This was my go-to since having moved to Round Rock 2 years ago. I've eaten here no less than once a month in that time. But, something has happened since their move and quality has really gone down the last 2 times I've ordered from Recuerdos. I gave them the benefit of the doubt first time, but now for a second time, poor quality. I need to find a new go-to.

I have been a loyal customer of Recuerdos for several years and never had any issues…until now. I was hoping the quality of the food wouldn’t go downhill when they teamed up with Backporch, but it’s even worse than I imagined. This photo doesn’t do the rock hard rice and beans any justice. This never should have left the kitchen.

We have ordered here many times and it was wonderful. Today we ordered food, got it delivered and there was a black curly hair right on top of the enchiladas. So disgusted and so disappointed.

If I could have put zero stars I would have. As soon as opened the door there were a few red flags, and in hindsight we should have turned around and left. There was a guy sitting in a chair in the middle of the small dining area looking at his phone who glanced up and told us to sit wherever we want, then went back to his phone. The TV was on really loud for such a small place. The food was horrible. It felt like it was frozen food. Mushy rice, bland beans, gross cheese in the enchiladas. The guacamole "salad" was just shredded iceberg, some diced tomatoes, and a glob of guac. Seriously? The only bright spot was the waitress. She was very attentive and nice. We will never eat here again.
