Bella Bru has the best breakfast in the Natomas area! Service can be a little slow depending on the time of the day, but it’s nothing terrible. All the items I have tried have been delicious.

I love this place. The service is great! The food is so tasty! I highly recommend eating here. 8/26/20: I always love this place! I bring people here, & everyone loves the food & service. The wait staff are so professional, very smart, great memories, anticipate our wants, and are generous. I go here each time I'm up here for The Board of Psychology. It's my favorite restaurant up here! The prices are not expensive either, & the food is presented visually beautifully. I also really like how the wait staff remember me, & I'm only in town usually twice a year! Now that's excellent personal interaction! They represent this restaurant well! 2/9/22: Every time I bring people here, the staff are exceptional! The food is excellent.

This was the second time coming here. I appreciated the bar tender coming to seat us when he noticed no one was at the front. Unfortunately, our waiter seemed a bit too busy. Everything took a while with him. The food was pretty good. We had the salmon BLT and chicken and beet salad. The chicken portion was big, but it was super dry. The best were the shrimp tacos. Very flavorful, indeed. This trip we were a little less impressed than the first time.

This was my 3rd visit to the restaurant, and I really love the food and the service. They have outdoor seating if you want to dine outside, as well as cozy indoor searing. The ambiance gives upscale Black Bear Diner vibes. The customer service is kind and attentive. We were seated promptly, our orders were taken, and our food was hot and freshly prepared. I had my 3 young adults with me, and two ordered the blackened salmon sandwich. One ordered the crab cake sandwich, and I ordered the salmon blt sandwich. DELICIOUS!!!! I have had both the salmon sandwich and the salad before. The crab cake sandwich looked so good, I wished I had given it a try. And the young lady who had it LOVED IT!! The two who had the salads enjoyed them as well. I will say that after my first time coming here, I did a copy cat of the salad at home, so the girls knew what to expect. I brought them here so they could have it straight out of the kitchen where I had gotten the recipe idea. I will be back. There is a crab cake sandwich with my name on it!

Brunch on a Saturday at Bella Bru. I had the morning special with the half waffle and I sid eof bacon. It was a hearty meal for the price and great portions. The gf ordered the Huevos rancheros and was pretty impressed. The beans were a tad overcooked but nothing too significant. The service was good and the water was really knowledgeable

A great local restaurant for breakfast! We had the mushroom spinach omelette with pesto and it was very tasty. Great service. They have really good fresh baked breads and cakes.

The professionalism with the staff was good upon entry. We were 3 Old Hens starvin' like Marvin so I recommended for them to join me for breakfast ... but got there too late. Arrived around 11:40 but it ended at 11. I would V E R Y highly recommend keeping it till 12... or later. I was truly looking forward to their 2 egg breakfast but we all had to settle 4 Huckleberry. No worries. We agreed we will go earlier next time. Thnx

Very noisy when busy. There is a covered patio area with lots of tables. Our waitress pocketed $5 out of change from our bill, surreptitiously, and we called another waitress to get us our exact change, which still was not correct. Itay have been a misunderstanding, but rather than asking for the correct change, we just subtracted it from the tip we were going to leave. The food was good, but not stellar, and rather expensive.

I came here on a Saturday around noon. With no reservation we were able to get seated. We ordered the Cinnamon Brioche French Toast with a sides of potatoes and the margarita pizza. The service was great! The food was average.

The service was wonderful, and we appreciated that they offered both indoor and outdoor dining options. My salad was fresh and nicely presented. A few at our table felt their meals didn’t quite meet expectations this time, but the desserts looked incredible so we will have to save room for them on our next visit.

~~UPDATE 2025 (2 stars)~~ My wife and I went back for Valentines Day dinner and we were both very disappointed. For one, the featured special on the website “Grilled Salmon & Prawns – with sundried tomato butter sauce, crispy cheddar polenta, grilled zucchini & blackberry jalapeño glaze”, was not on the menu. Second, my wife wanted the Cannelloni and the wait let us know they might be out and if she wanted something else. She opted for Eggplant Parm as backup. I ordered the Ribeye special. The problem was they were out of both specials and the kitchen went ahead and cooked my steak before the waiter came back to take my wifes order, again. That’s restaurant 101; having all dishes come out at once. The girl who brought out my steak was like we can just keep it warm. I’m like ok but I ordered medium-rare. They should have just re-fired it. Wife eventually settled on Fettuccine Alfredo which meant my steak was just sitting for another 10+ minutes in the kitchen. Worse off the Alfredo was bland and watery and full of garlic. No bacon was to be seen. My steak was just ok; half the steak was fat though. Fingerling potatoes were bland. Asparagus was cooked nicely though. The wait staff also seemed overwhelmed as service was very slow. We didn’t get water for the last 20 min while the staff were all figuring out some POS check issues. We were given a discount though for the inconvenience which I appreciated, and comped a slice of pie. The beer, wine and pies were a saving grace. Lowering my overall rating to 3 stars as a result. ~~ORIGINAL 2024 (4/5 stars)~~ I really enjoy going to Bella Bru. Whether it’s with my wife or with my folks, we always have a great experience. The service is always on point and the food is exceptional (usually; see below). Last visit I got a Burger w/ bacon and Sweet Potato Fries and the wife got a Roasted Chicken Salad. The burger was seasoned well and correctly cooked to order. The bacon was crispy and the sweet potato fries are so bomb!! The chicken salad is really good too, and my wife loves salads so she is always content. On our last visit we also got chicken wings and they were very mid; they weren’t crispy and were covered in buffalo sauce instead of tossed with it. Definitely a swing and miss there, but that’s the first time I’ve had something I didn’t like. Other pluses are their complimentary bread! Omg it’s so good. I could just eat that and drink beer and be happy. Speaking of, they have a nice beer selection. For their desserts, they have some amazing cakes and pies. The pecan pie is soooo good! The atmosphere is chill and relaxed. They have a bar setup and so some great brunches too. All in all, Bella Bru hits all the notes. Love this spot.

We’ve been loyal customers of Bella Bru for over 10 years and have always appreciated the friendly and attentive servers – they truly do a wonderful job. Unfortunately, today was the last time we’ll be dining here. Our breakfast plates came out with multiple hairs in the food, which is completely unacceptable. While the service remains amazing, the kitchen quality and standards have gone downhill. After this experience, we can no longer trust the food coming out of the kitchen. Very disappointing end to a place we once loved.

BUG in my food, spoiled salad dressing (runny and foul smell), bad soft drink. Came here today (6/13/25). Thought the big leg was pepper at first. Nope! 60% done, the body, burrows deep in my salad, appeared through the leaves at the bottom. See photos. At here a year ago and had a bad experience. The meat was old and discolored. Tried today because I figured they just had an off day. I hadn’t eaten all day so I was too hungry to wait to get home to cook. I figured what can go wrong with a salad. Many of my friends have had bad orders as well, from the steak, to the burgers etc. I got my money back. The manager did say she’d alert the kitchen but since it’s been multiple cases, I doubt that’ll help anything. Will Never return. I’m now home downing some pedto-bismal feeling nauseous.
