Lulu’s is surrounded by other great restaurants in Sag Harbor but it holds its own! My family had a really great meal and cocktails. We ordered the Roasted Cauliflower (Excellent!) along with Stone Crab (Very good) and Raw bar clams/ Oysters (Excellent) for appetizers along with cocktails which we thoroughly enjoyed. Main courses consisted of 2lb Roasted Lobsters, Seafood pasta, Branzino and a Chicken dish that were all excellent. I would highly recommend getting reservations and enjoy! My only complaint would be the flow of cocktails as it seemed the bar and table staff were out of synch.

Crazy busy place to be seen and to drink and dine. We enjoyed the mezcal cocktails, the jalapeño spiced especially. We savored oysters and appetizers. The tuna tartare was sublime. Very pricey. For us, from far away, an experience. In spite of the density and many tables, the staff truly hustles. They are professionals, and the restaurant is professionally run.

It was our first time visiting Lulu, and we were very pleasantly surprised, the service was exceptional. I think every employee in that restaurant touched our table at one point or another, including all of the managers the food, outstanding! Everything we had was absolutely delicious. We will most definitely be going back, often!

The braised lamb was the best I’ve ever had. Environment was amazing. Great car and people watching. The chicken was juicy and delicious. Nice wine selection. Great job LuLu! I’ll be back!

What a great restaurant and bar. Tucked in the town of Sag Harbor, this gem is cooking up the best cocktails. We didn't eat this time but the food looks magnificent. We will surely return. Have the Margarita Mule! Tell em Barsnobs sent ya.

The bathroom situation here needs to be reimagined. Every time I’ve gone they are absolutely filthy and just way too cramped. I think the weird button flusher must confuse people because I’ve had to flush for the person who used the toilet before me nearly every time. Just gross. A deep clean and possibly a paint job especially under the hand dryers should be taken seriously immediately. Other than the bathrooms, the vibe is beautiful. I’ve had a lot of really great meals here and have tried most of the menu. The lamb is insanely good. Tonight I had steak and fries which was unfortunately not so good, but the only thing I’ve had here and didn’t like. The steak was too fatty for my liking and the flavor of the chimichurri was lacking. They served it with cold tomatoes which was a bit strange. Service is always warm and lovely.

I really want to love Lulu’s. I was able to have dinner there, and unfortunately, it missed the mark in a few areas. That is not to say it was a bad experience; there are just improvements that need to be made. The atmosphere: The restaurant itself has a very cozy feeling, along with a chic-looking bar. The only issue with the atmosphere is that it is very loud. The sound easily bounces off the walls and amplifies all aspects, including the partially open kitchen. The staff: Unfortunately, the service was the lowest point of my experience. None of the staff were rude, but the service was painstakingly slow. It took over 30 minutes to order wine and then another 10-15 to get in the food order. At a place easily charging >$50 per person, I would expect the staff and service to be more attentive to the customer. The food: I did enjoy the food. I had the burrata cheese with cherry tomatoes to start, which was nice and fresh. I think the tomatoes could have a touch of salt to bring out their flavor, but overall, it was a good dish. For the main, I had the rack of lamb. It was cooked to order and came on a large platter perfect for sharing. It has great flavor, and the sauce and Israeli salad were a great compliment.

Local Guide

Lulu was recommended by a local friend, it has a good atmosphere, smaller space and a lot of people packed in. The menu is fairly standard, seafood options are plentiful and it's hard to mess those up. The kitchen menu on the other hand is lackluster and unfortunately not well executed. Halibut was overcooked and drowning in sauce. The steak was not bad, little too much char though. Service from the main wait staff is good, the assistants lack the same finesse. Given this is one of the better options in the Hamptons overall it was a nice evening but the food was nothing to rush to experience.

The food and vibes were very good. At the end the waiter came over and apologized multiple times for not servicing our table really. He asked if he can get us a round of drinks to make up for it and was pretty insistent. We didn't need them, but finally accepted. Then got charged $100+ for a round of drinks + tax & tip. Sneaky tactics to raise the bill amount - we didn't appreciate it.

I wish I could give Lulu zero stars, but I’ll settle for one to warn others. We arrived expecting a casual dinner at this supposedly charming Hamptons spot, only to be greeted by a hostess on a serious power trip. “Rude” doesn’t even begin to cover it, she seemed to relish gatekeeping a restaurant that’s clearly trying too hard to act exclusive. The menu was both overpriced and limited. I ordered the herb-roasted chicken, which turned out to be a greasy, fatty mess. The skin was limp and uncrisped, and the meat sat in an oily puddle that tasted like it had been lingering in the back of a fridge. For the price, I expected something gourmet, not a sad, overpriced chicken that left us both feeling queasy. Pretentious without the payoff. Save your money and your dignity, there are far better options in Sag Harbor. Hard pass.

On Saturday night, 9/27 around 7:45 before I can even get a taste of the food, I was treated very rudely by the tall male host/manager with salt/pepper small beard. I understand it was busy, and I waited patiently. He did not acknowledge me at first when he asked everyone to move inside the restaurant —then he looked at me and said I was blocking the doorway and so I moved to where he asked me to go. And then to my surprise, he greeted a group of 2 ladies behind me and took their request for a table—he seemed to know her as he greeted her with a kiss. When I heard him say there was an hour wait for the dining room, I said “excuse me but did you say there was an hour wait?” He responded with an annoyed tone, “I’m sorry but I’m talking to another guest and you have to wait your turn.” I’m thinking to myself but you skipped me and took her request before me as she was behind me. So I said “that’s OK I’m leaving”, and told him he was rude. I understand it’s a popular place and I was (an Asian woman) on line alone as my husband who was sitting outside on a bench waiting for me. I wonder if I was a white woman the host would have treated me differently. Either way, I will NOT ever eat at Lulu’s. We were ready to spend $200 for a nice dinner. But we spent it elsewhere—when I told a hostess at another restaurant nearby, she responded that Lulu’s has a reputation for being rude. Hmm.. that’s not a good thing when your peers acknowledge the negative behavior of your staff no matter how busy you are.

This was one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. The staff is rude and doesn’t care about your service , unless you are one of their wealthy regulars. That is the only way they check in on you without making passive aggressive comments. Ridiculously overpriced for the lowest quality food. The salad is legitimately 3 pieces of wilted lettuce with a side of brown avocado. Barely any dressing and nothing else on it. Medieval peasant or rabbit food. We asked if we could get new avocado and it came back even browner than before. The manager was passive aggressive but took it off the bill. Still managed to come out to $100 from a chicken salad my mom got, a lemonade, fries, and a drink. Would not recommend this to my worst enemy. The waitress also saw that we sent our food back with the food runner and didn’t come to check on us and just kept a smug look on her face

This restaurant’s 4-star rating must be fake. The food is genuinely bad, and my standards aren’t even high. It’s neither comforting nor upscale — just bland or greasy, with awful flavors. One star, and that’s only for the interior. Don’t order the cauliflower unless you crave eating it steamed
