The staff are friendly and accommodating, I like the live music every Fridays and Saturdays, the coffee are awesome and also the craft beers from different breweries here in Monterey.

I went into the store right before closing and a lady named Renee still served me right before it was nine that made my night. Great place, Ive also sang there and I like it very much. I recommend it. 5 star never had a complaint there from all the times I’ve been there.

Came to the Bean after a massage across the street to get some work done. The staff was welcoming. The coffee was delicious (the Dulce I believe is what I ordered). The blueberry muffin was perfect. The jams were awesome, so I didn't even need to put in my headphones. I am looking forward to returning. Thank you!

Pulled an excellent syrupy espresso on their Slayer espresso machine. Perfectly balanced citric acidity with roasted almond and berry notes.

Ok so this place is amazing!!!! There selection in coffee is great. My absolute favorite here is the Mexican mocha which is coffee but with a twist of your childhood hot chocolate. It's definitely a must try. Cute atmosphere and owners/ staff are great people.

Great place for a quick pitstop in downtown Salinas. Friendly personal with the great morning brews suggestions makes you feel homey. Open during the pandemic with outside seating. The only caveat is the restrooms are closed as per CDC orders. Enjoyed and will be back for more pleasant experience. Thank you.

Can't wait till this pandemic comes to an end to truly appreciate this place! A coffee shop that offers on tap craft beers, the best of both worlds, gourmet coffee and craft beer. Obviously this place offers so much like a small stage for live music, cool ambiance and a friendly staff.

The cappuccino is great, but i had to insist on a mug instead ofa paper cup. The pastry is meh. The barista needs people skills. And, the place is dingy. It smells less than fresh... like a hamper on laundry day.

Bearded Man Coffee has a cool, bar-like vibe that sets it apart from your average coffee shop. The coffee itself was pretty good—nothing to complain about there—and the service was solid. I'm concerned this place is sliding. Service can be very slow- appears to have staffing issues. Pastries have always been mediocre but I didn't mind it when other aspects of visit were OK. The fatal flaw this visit was no working bathroom. Yuck. I used to really like this place- hope it can climb back up to a more enjoyable experience. I don't WANT to go to Starbucks, but had to today.

I gave this place a two star on the service instead of one star. Me and my friend waited 40 minutes for two coffees. There was one person working. We got there at 4:30 PM on a Saturday and we got a coffee’s at 5:15 PM. It looked as though there was an off-duty coworker that asked the one guy working by himself if he needed help. He said no she asked him three separate times from the time I was there, and all times he said no. While a group of us, or it doesn’t of us were waiting for a coffee’s. Strangely, he was complaining about how busy he was. At 5:00 a second person, strolled and started helping mounting the registers. Then the third person finally came in. Everybody was waiting patiently, but it was a really long time to just pop in and grab a quick coffee. On my way out. The guy at the cash register handed me a gift card and apologize for the wait. If it hadn’t been for that, I would’ve given this place a one star. On the other hand, the coffee was great. I ordered a white mocha and my friend ordered a cold brew. Oh, and my white mocha was supposed to be hot but they gave it to me iced. Well, I go back… Of course, I will give the business another try. It could’ve been a fluke, regardless of an employee being sick it could’ve been a number of things. All I know is the gentleman at the cash register saved my opinion of this coffee place.

They always want tips, I tip polite workers but if you're sassy, forget it....one time one didn't even spoke to me and looked over my screen to check if I'd leave a tip (I pressed no tip.) idk if this is their first job but they have bad customer service and need training. Beerded bean is a great place but they need to fix that problem. Today I went and we asked for a frappe, it was a little over an hour to closing time the girl looked at the blender made a very visibly annoyed face and proceeded to take our order. I'm guessing she didn't want to use the blender an hour before closing maybe? But she could have addressed that to us instead of giving us attitude, we would have changed our drinks... Idk coffee shops are a happy place for most of us, hoping for better vibes 🙏

My friends and I stopped by because the reviews seemed pretty decent, but honestly, it was a letdown. The person who took my order didn’t seem very friendly, and the coffee was really bad. The vibe wasn’t great either — the place felt kind of run-down.

I was going to come in as I usually do to buy coffees for myself and family, but could not do so because a man with a puppy was inside. I have severe allergic reactions to all types of dogs and it can cause an asthma attack at moment's notice. After feeling my stomach drop and much disappointment I turned around and left. How is this not a health dept. Concern? I am disappointed that the staff isn't taking appropriate action to ensure safety for all customers. I honestly have been met with unkind remarks and unhelpful responses when I ask for help from staff, so I am hoping a review will get me more help. Many with allergies cannot share indoor spaces with animals and it's unfortunat that I didn't feel safe there. The staff receiving appropriate training on this matter with a willingness to confront pet owners would resolve the issue.

I never post negative reviews but Staff was rude, my coffee lid was not properly attached and spilt all over me and when I asked for a towel the staff said there were napkins behind me on the counter. No apology and put out just to serve us. Avoid this place.

Pass your way. They don't know their espresso. Asked 3 times for a direct pour into the ceramic cup and the barista lectured me that it needs to be stirred. Yeah right, he clearly never has compared a direct pour from a transfer. It's a Slayer, you can pour direct. All other places with the same machine do it. Why can't you?
