We went exploring on a Saturday and came upon this place my wife (a Colombiana) recognized it and described a variety of gourmet restaurants in one complex--spanish, Chinese, Japanese and more. We went up the escalator from 45 and asked the hostess where were and she said here Japanese and in front Mediterranean and Spanish which we felt right for the moment. It was nice decor separated into different levels of table sectSpanish, quiet as only 5 or 6 tables occupied in a large number of cubicle like settings as it was 3pm. We got seated and presented with a bilingual waiter who gave menus and quickly brought us bread and butter while we reviewed the menu. He offered great clarification on several items leading me to the ossobuco and my wife to pork ribs. We had delicious sapphire and tonics and ordered reacon Jamon platter and dumplings as appetizers. The platter of Iberian ham and pork was large, superb seeming like 7 year aged but the waiter informed us just 18 month. The pork dumplings were crispy with an enjoyable dip. I saw the enigmatic machine to allow small ounce samples of the large variety of wines mounted there. I had not seen one since I left Washington DC where one wine bar had one to allow tasting expensive wines at low cost. Sadly he said it was not operating at this time....next visit. Then he introduced a very knowledgeable bilingual Sommillier (I am one too) who (see photo) helped us select from 3 varieties of US and Spanish wines (which I selected) which was very interesting with a cabernet like flavor and great after taste interesting..photo. My ossobuco was cooked perfectly and had an unusual mild sweet sauce. My wife said she enjoyed her cerdo costilla but as usual only ate half then take home. We finished with cappuccinos with bailey's and a fudge chocolate volcano. We must return and explore these places. Oh as we got our desserts the entire place filled up and besides birthday songs, folkloric dancers and singers in the area next to us
We tried the chef experience consisting in 10 courses, we wait about 15 minutes at the table to have someone coming to offer something to drink, the server who took care first of the experience wasn’t familiarize with the experience dishes so his comments describing the food was 2 for 5, food quality was good, drinks was great and also desserts, chef is very creative and on top of the customers. I believe this place needs to improve the servers training because the experience was expensive, we spend about 250 dollars or 1.000.000 Colombian pesos. We been spending way less with way better service and more knowledge about food for way less price! MY FAVORITE DRINK WAS THE NON-alcoholic Yellow Fritz (I don’t know if I spelled correctly)
seratta is possibly my #1 breakfast spot in all of bogota. the ambience is absolutely ethereal, evoking the vibe of a classy european cafe (it reminds me of the paris pavilion at epcot). the food is simple and delicate yet also rich and tasty; something that is perfectly exemplified by the INCREDIBLE chai !! i could write odes to this chai, no joke. i'm from toronto, and i've tried so many chai in my time (from authentic chai to chain cafe chai) and this one is somehow the greatest one i've ever, EVER tried. it is infused with ube (leading to that curious purple colour, pictured) which makes every sip a melody of flavour. also ~ don't shy away from those breaded arequipe and cheese fishes !! i ordered them because their appearance reminded me of taiyaki (and i love taiyaki <3) and even though they're definety not that---they're still suuuuuuper yummy !! overall, just fantastic, and pretty cheap when you convert to dollars <3
The cozy and intimate interior of this restaurant is perfect for a special dinner and its unique combination of drinks and food experience is sure to satisfy. The amazing selections of cocktail drinks will complete the romantic dining experience. The food was great, the staff service are excellent.
Amazing all-in-one place which does it all, breakfasts are top notch, lunches, dinners, the food is so fine and the cooks are out of this world. It has a wine collection, a beer collection, a hard liquor collection, a meat market, a bakery, and the vip section is something else, with a Buddha greeting you when going in to what aeems to be a garden of eden environment. All the food is carefully selected for the best combinations of flavor, and there's high cuisine for every moment of the day. Words are not enought to describe this place.
Everything starts with a tour of the facilities by a very knowledgeable host taking you through about 7 different places within the restaurant/market. Everything I tasted was exceptional!!! The ham and cheese as a starter and the “cochinillo” as my entree were exceptional!!! If you wish to drink something out of the ordinary order the Gin with fire...you will enjoy the experience. The chef has a Michelin star so no wonder everything was great!!! I will be back!!!
La presentación de los platos excelente. La comida estuvo bien. Algo demorados algunos platos.
Great food and atmosphere. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I dined here solo and it took them an hour alone to ask me for my order. In total I was there almost 3 hours. The server ignored me in totality. I had to get the restaurant management to put my order in and then correct it when it was wrong. The decor was stunning. The food was very good and the hostess was notably pleasant. If not for these things, I could not recommend. The service staff was absolute trash.
Great food, had the Rigatoni and grilled mushroom. Food was delicious but service was very slow. Maybe normal for Bogota, so definitely don’t come expecting a quick lunch/dinner. Took us 2 hours for 2 courses, first hour was just waiting for even bread to come to the table. Definitely worth a visit, but go with time on hand.
Bogota has excellent restaurants, and this is one of them. The food and service are lovely—all delicious. However, I am a foodie, and I believe the waiter should know where the pork comes from or if the fish is wild cough or hatcheries grown, I get disappointed. If I am going to spend $100, the waiter better answers those questions.
The restaurant and the general experience was different, they took care on all the details, cocktails are special, very nicely presented, I ordered a monitor that although was in a nice totem glass it lacked the traditional monitor flavor, also had the paella, salmon and beef, all of them really good, a little bit on the pricey side but affordable. We had an issue with the reservation by phone we requested a table for 3 and they had for 2, blaming us for their mistake so it was a bit arrogant on their side. Parking free!!
I was expecting an amazing and flavorful meal, but I ended up feeling meh by most of the dishes. The only exception was the appetizer, the patatas bravas, which were good. The rest of our order -the pollo toscani, ossobuco vitello, and hongos silvestres, unfortunately lacked a strong, distinctive flavor. To me, it seemed as though the food itself was bland, tasting mostly of just the main ingredient. Again to me, the dishes were undersalted and appeared to be overcooked, which likely contributed to the overall lack of flavor and the inability of salt to properly enhance the ingredients, which do seem to have good quality. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the food at all, maybe I just had very, very high expectations to the flavors? The service, however, was exactly what you'd expect from this type of restaurant: amazing! The staff was extremely knowledgeable, super polite, and attentive to all our requests throughout the meal.
I have to say, really disappointed with this place! We had been to one of their other restaurants and it was an excellent experience so we wanted to try this one. Service was very slow. It must have taken 20 minutes just for someone to come to our table and ask if we want drinks. We ordered the angus steaks and they had absolutely no flavour. Salad was ok but also lacking flavour. Then after we finished eating it again took them probably 20 minutes to take out plates and ask how everything was. Very disappointing and definitely won’t be going back.
While the food was absolutely amazing and the service was 10/10, I left with a sour taste in my mouth. As I walked out of the restaurant thanking the WONDERFUL staff there, there was a new hostess at the front who had not seen me walk in, and instead of being kind to a customer who just spent $350k on lunch, she looked me up and down and gave me the DIRTIEST look possible. I was wearing a hoodie and shorts and apparently I didn’t look like I had enough money to eat at “her” restaurant even though I was walking out lol I have no one to impress, especially when I’m just getting lunch. If there is a dress code it should be stated, and guests should not receive dirty looks from people that are there to serve you. Aside from her nasty, nasty attitude and the way she looked at me like I was beneath her- the servers were all welcoming and incredibly kind! Very attentive! But being looked at like I am “not worthy” or “lesser than” because I’m not dressed up on a Monday to get Lunch is a sure way to have customers never come back. People with real money don’t leave the house worried about how the rest of the world perceives them- because we have nothing to prove to anyone, specially a hostess at a restaurant located in a mall lmfao all I can say is I am embarrassed for her and wish her a more educated look on the world and the people around her. Owners should look into training hosts to do their jobs instead of looking at patrons like they’re scum lmao
Eventhough the restaurant has its own decoration, the menu is very hard to read for the low-light environment. Food and service was good, time to get everything done, even the bill, was extremely high, and the place was not crowded. Seriously, no coordination to meet minimum time sensitive request.
A Classic Trap! Stay away. Most of it is just a performance, a very cheesy one. Starting with the location: an office building with a gym all mixed up. Followed by a very tacky decor. fake plants? Really? Fake flowers? Can’t believe it! You’re in Colombia you can buy fresh roses in every corner. It’s all a fake. Let’s talk about food: yes a Michelin Star about 8 years ago... and now it feels like they’re trying to fool you with lots of tricks and very low real quality. Some servers are trying hard to do their tricks, it is too much. Not worth at all.
The worst service I have ever received in a restaurant in Bogotá. We had a reservation for 10 people and ordered drinks, but the cocktails and some other drinks were not available. We were notified of this some time after placing our order. Then, we ordered the main course and, at the same time, the dessert "Quiere Cacao," which has an average preparation time of 25 minutes, but the dessert never arrived. The waiter's response was, "The oven is broken." Similarly, we ordered other desserts, which were also unavailable, and we were notified of this almost 15 minutes after placing the order. Okay, so we tried a Limoncello recommended by the waiter, and guess what? They didn't have Juan Sebastián's recommendation either. So after waiting for almost 20 minutes, we asked to speak to the manager on duty, but the response was, "The manager works until 9 PM," meaning there is no one in charge after that time. When we asked who was in charge, the waiter said, "I'm in charge." Anyway, we didn't insist any further. We realized that this restaurant was a very bad choice for dinner today. I don't recommend it at all. There are better options with better prices and much better service.
