Very vibey and vibrant with seating inside and outside. Chai tea is fresh and not too sweet. Live music on the weekends in the mornings. They offer superb coffee from different locations such as a medium roast from Costa Rica or Guatemala. A real find! Enjoy!
Coffee was delicious! Ordered a vanilla oat milk latte which I appreciated was on the menu. The cashier was very nice too! Please acknowledge her although I didn't get her name but it was a late Sunday morning.
They're great. Coffee good. Staff polite. Food good. AND, they give you 2 teabags for tea, and extra hot water, if you need it. Good environment too. Bought a bag of fresh roasted coffee beans too. A little pricey, but I'll see how good when I get home.
This place is one of the things I miss most about California..I lived there for 8 years, the last 4 in Marin. I would walk to the coffee shop, right in the heart of town, from my kids home in San Anselmo ( I babysat when my first grand baby was born ). I recommected with a childhood friend (I grew up in Michigan) whose daughter moved there, just blocks from my kids...small world. We hadn’t seen each other in 40 years! I’d get my coffee and sit on one of the benches to enjoy in Imagination park and often see George Lucas stroll by. This was the place for me. Live music on the weekends. My little grandson really loved it. Oh, how I miss this place. By the way, the best coffee drinks (my fav, turmeric lattes) ever constructed...🌺💕 Great food, great atmosphere, lots of regulars...simply the best.❤️
The Marin Coffee roasters is a well established coffee / brunch spot that offers outside seating and good service. You can always trust that the food will be extraordinary and the service will be top tier.
One of the best place to get coffee. Much better than the chains. Your coffee is strong and delicious. Excellent array of different pastries and food items you're able to eat.
It has been a very long time since I was last here but this place is still awesome! Excellent iced coffee and very tasty lunch offerings. I'm enjoying a chicken, bacon, jack sandwich with some fries. Great portions and really delicious. I'll be here often while I'm in town...
Favorite coffee shop in Marin! Good food and good prices and love the live band on Sundays!
Amazing food!!! I assumed it was just a coffee shop and I am so happy it's way more than that!!
Great feel, a good sandwich, and amazing service by the women over the counter, my only issue was that the pastry case had like 4 flys all over the pastries which sucked because they looked so good, I did not try the coffee so I can't speak on it, I would come again however!
I've been coming here since my now-college-age children were infants. Every Saturday my wife and I drive from Marinwood all the way here to watch the Treble Makers play their music, plus eat our weekly breakfast of Breakfast Bagel Sandwich (ham, egg, cheese) and Sunrise Special (scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, Lavan toast) plus our coffee drinks. The wife gets hers 'extra hot' and 'no foam' and it's perfect every time (especially since they're expecting us!). I use it as a meeting place for people from out of town and everybody raves afterwards. Can't wait for my grandkids to start the process all over again!
Come for the coffee and people watching! Good selections of coffee drinks and decent choices for breakfast and lunch. Very friendly and laid back staff that's always eager to please. Hang out and chill- no attitudes here.
Great local place for coffee and brunch stuff. There's also a 3 piece jazz group during brunch.
Awesome spot for breakfast. Good coffee! Had Butter Bagel and Veggie Omelette, both were delicious.
By far the best coffee I've had in weeks. Neither Starbucks or Peet's hold a candle to the cup of nirvana I got here. Bonus points for throwing in a free cup of joe for buying a bag of beans. That croissant though... yum.
The coffee was incredibly well roasted and was outstanding.
I wasn't a fan of the bacon eggs and toast but their chorizo breakfast burrito is the best!!! Its worth driving 96 miles for.
This is the real deal. not only is the cooked food delicious!, decor is welcoming and woody with lots of windows, but it’s the staff that revs it up a few notches. Every time I come here, no matter who serves me, the staff has an winning attitude that is absolutely unmatched . David, as well as every single employee here, listens to customers’ very specific requests with such friendliness. Like when I asked for no potatoes with my eggs… they offered me a salad. It was unusual for me to eat salad in the morning…. but it was fantastic… Abundant and fresh is might be the start of a new trend for me. Great idea, David! (Even when I asked for a to go box… One of the staff members came out with two box size choices, and asked me which one I prefer. It’s like they are always anticipating your next question… Really unsurpassed service) And then there’s the awesome coffee! I drink decaf americano… which can be mediocre at other places. This place has absolutely amazing decaf espresso beans. Oh… one more thing… As a bicyclist I love that it is right on the path and in the center of town — popular meeting place for bikes… it has a great bike vibe! Whether alone of meeting a friend. This has become my “go-to “place.😊
Mexican mocha was sooo delicious. And this group of 3 guys was playing the most delightful jazz
Awesome coffee, breakfast, and lunch. Their Mexican mocha is eye-popping- just what I needed today. Not too crowded during church hours on Sunday. Today they had a very pleasant jazz electric guitarist setting the mood. With that background I got my brain in gear and was able to finish some work!
Used to come here a lot 10+ years ago when I worked down the street. I moved to South Bay and now Austin, TX and I’m feeling so nostalgic to be here in town especially in this coffee shop. I’m glad it’s still here. Walking in to order a latte with a very big smile looking at the place. The young barista might have wondered why I was smiling (or not) ☺️. Glad to be back to visit.
Live jazz Quartet on a Sunday morning with coffee? This was fantastic.
We’re in love with this place - the breakfast burritos are amazing; and limited. Coffee is great and service is fast! They have a range of amazing food options too! The chorizo burrito is the best. Ancho isn’t my favorite.
Great vibe. Serious coffee! Also offers pastries and ground or whole bean to take home. Located in downtown San Anselmo not far from Imagination Park.

my favorite coffee shop in Marin. Great staff, great coffee, and great music.
Service was good, eggs were very good! Would not order the oatmeal pancakes again. It was like eating a bowl of oatmeal that had been fried rather than pancakes with oat flakes, which was what I imagined. Lots of menu options! Great seating indoor and out on the sidewalk. Coffee was good! Would definitely stop here again.
Great coffee, delicious food, and efficient, engaging and friendly staff.
Busy on weekend mornings (usually a good sign). Iced coffee and a fresh bagel, hit the spot. Worth a stop if you’re in the area. Live music was a nice touch.

Delicious breakfast at a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They made a "Mickey Mouse" pancake for my son, even though it isn't on the menu. No pictures because it was eaten instantly, an uncommon occurrence for a picky 3-year-old. Coffee is good. Omelets are delicious. Parking is easy in the lot behind the cafe. Only 4 stars because they use paper cups for eat-in coffee and paper napkins.
This place is top. Great setting and location, conscientious service, decent pricing, prompt kitchen, and everything's delicious. They are a first choice and my fall back if in the area. (They would get full stars but I just save one for when I'm blown away.)
Nice coffee shop with local flair. Staff could be a little more friendly to new customers who have questions though... While I am a local, I noticed the lack of patience at the counter with new customers... Great music on the weekends!
Love this place cuz I have a lot of history here. Coffee may not be the very best but the culture is great. Friendly. Sometimes some really outstanding music plays live on weekends.
Lovely entrance and great atmosphere!
The Marin Coffee Roasters has become one of our favorites place to go for coffee and pastries. It is right on our way to drop off my nephew at the Branson School and they usually get us our order and out the door in a timely method. We enjoy sitting in their outside patio area and watch the people walk by enjoying their day.
Best coffee in town. Lot of breakfast options to choose from. Like omelette, 3 types of burrito for 4.25$ . Cappuccino was too good. Amazing ambience.

I had the Sunrise Breakfast. They only give you two pieces of bacon which are pretty small. Comforts gives you three. The coffee was tasty. The outdoor seating was a nice spot to sit for a couple hours and talk to a friend. Staff were all really friendly. I might go back.

Ordered a chai latte and a matcha latte. The girl who took my order was mid on her service, not very friendly. The drinks were not that great probably won't be going back. Prices were decent. On a good note though the atmosphere was nice.
Burnt tasting espresso, no foam turmeric latte. Cute place, great atmosphere & customer service. But coffee is pretty meh.

Great atmosphere and coffee, but food is a very mixed picture. We were served an inedible, nearly raw hamburger, and a tasteless, greasy veggie burger. Salad was better, but overall, not a good experience. Too bad...
The music is way too loud. Baristas crank it up so they can hear it but it is so forking loud.
Burnt tasting espresso served at boiling temperature. Just bad bad coffee.
Decent coffee. Terrible sandwiches. And that's a shame, since I used to enjoy their sandwiches. Not sure what happened but I did overhear a manager today explaining to his staff that white bread is basically the same as a French roll and both of those are the same as sourdough bread. Huh?? Maybe if you don't know the difference between a French roll, sourdough bread and white bread, you are should not be supervising people who are making sandwiches.
Latte was decent, but the Yummy Tomato and Cheese Sandwich that is labeled as a “Hot Sandwich,” came with cheese hardly melted.
They have bad coffee here. It's way too dark roasted at tastes super burnt. (They don't serve good foamed milk either.) It's hard to find good specialty coffee in this part of Marin but you can do better than this.
Fairly dirty and gross interior. Employees are not friendly, care more about their own conversations than helping customers. No wonder Starbucks and Peet's are killing it. They are 10x cleaner and have nicer employees that actually care. We won't be back.
Ordered breakfast bagel- egg, bacon, and cheese, plus a turkey cheese croissant and a hot chocolate. The person taking the order messed it up, did not repeat the order and did not give a receipt. The croissant was smahed and old with cold cheap deli slice of turkey and processed cheese slice. The bagel order was messed up but they did comp it and give the correct order eventually which my companion found to be uneatable. The hot chocolate tasted like it was made with hot water and cheap Cocoa mix.

When I went they were really rude. Walked away from me half way through my order. I live super close so I was excited about checking them out but I'll drive an extra few miles to support somewhere else instead.
BEWARE of scalding hot coffee: espresso machine here is inconsistent. I was given a mocha that was beyond scalding, and even my first careful sip completely burned my mouth. Unfortunately this place used to have more consistent drinks a few months back, and I'd been coming regularly.
After a lively 4th of July party, we decided to order coffee online from Marin Coffee Roasters, hoping for a much-needed pick-me-up. Unfortunately, despite placing our order and being immediately charged, we found the shop closed for the holiday upon arrival. It was disappointing that they were still accepting online orders while closed. In the following two weeks, I called multiple times and was assured by employees that the manager, Tim, would return my call to resolve the issue and issue a refund. Sadly, I never heard back. This level of service is unacceptable, and given my experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend this business.
