The food was definitely worth the wait! I say this only because the service was slow. It took about 30 mins for our order, granted we did come during lunch hour on a Sunday and ordered Birria tacos which I know can take awhile. The music was loud but they were super friendly about turning it down. Our server checked up on us frequently and again the food was great!

I love this place. I ordered the Fajita Plate every time. The 1st time I walked in I turned around and walked out. It was noisy. Music was loud and the people were louder. The 2nd time there was hardly anyone there. So I sat and dined in. Ordering was difficult. The music was still up too loud. The waiter was great and the food came quickly. The food is really good. The rice had the sweetness and the beans had spices that I thought was a great addition. The entree was just as good. The 3rd time I went it was busy again but I ordered it to go because of the noise. I will keep going back to El Rodeo de Jalisco.

Great food and quick service. I wouldn’t go there with the intention of having a conversation with the people in your party. It’s very loud there, so much so that my family calls it “the club”, but still a good bite! We like their green enchiladas, pozole, chile relleno, breakfast tacos and cafe de olla 😋

Food was delicious! It was not busy when we went on a Saturday at 2pm. Didn’t have a server to our table until 10 min passed since we were sat but after being served everything went well despite waiting for the server, food was hot, fast, flavorful. Still terrible with portions and missing tacos. All of our tacos are portioned for a toddler. Not worth the price at all. Potatoes are never cooked well or seasoned for tacos.

I dined in today and this place is usually one of my favorite spots to go but today it didnt meet expectations. My food was barely warm. In the morning if I go out to eat id expect a hot meal and this wasn't hot just warm. The server was great and attentive. As far as the resturant its self they blast the music so loud all day and its hard to talk over it. Ive gone several times on the past and its the same thing. Loud loud music. I dont care if they play music but at least lower it a little so were not having to yell at the person across from us.

The place inside is wonderful with a definite tradition Mexican bar vibe with music and sports games on the 5 tvs. The servers and staff were great and attentive. The food was anything but traditional. There was lack of flavor all the way down to the rice. I had chicken tortillas soup, charro beans and rice. The tortilla soup had a consistency chicken broth flavor and wish it had some spicy to it or vegetable flavor. The charro beans tasted like tomato paste and once again not spicy. Rice had the same tomato flavor. I believe they use a tomato base for everything. No jalapeños or chile were used. I guess this would be a place just to get drinks and eat bland food.

Not as good as we had hoped. It looks nice and has a crowd but the food was way too salty and lacked the quality we had hoped for. Not a bad place just not our speed. This is more like a bar disguised as a restaurant.

Was not impressed with the food or service. It was busy and we stood waiting to be seated about 15 minutes. The hostess was not taking names and seated people before us and I reminded her that we were ahead of the other people and still waiting to be seated. By the time we sat down we had already looked at the menu and placed our order right away. It did not take very long for food to come out and the presentation was good, however the rice was warm on outside and cold in the inside as if reheated, but not given enough time to warm up food. Also the meat like the chicken, fajitas, and sausage tasted old and reheated. The shrimp was good and the chorizo jalapeño was good. It was plenty of food. It once again was busy and our waiter was nice, but we were just ready to leave because it was just taking too long for the to-go boxes. Also there was the lingering smell from the pretty sparklers that they used for decoration.

Weird place It’s trying to be a really good place to go hang out, except the place is too small, and the whole time our group felt like they were trying to get us out so they can get more people in. Food, fajitas were decent, enchiladas were terrible Ambience is cool every time u order something special they turn off the lights and put a firework. Cucumber margarita was so super sweet the watermelon was the best one. U can’t have a small Guadalajara type taqueria and try to make it a club party type feeling when you can barely fit 100 people in there Maybe if it was a whole lot bigger, it could have some sort of potential, but I can’t get over the fact that it felt so rushed and when you’re trying to drink 4 patron margaritas at over $50 for 4, I don’t want to feel like u want me out as soon as we finish our food. We were 6 with 2 kids under 10 and I didn’t appreciate the 20 percent tip automatic charge and already adding a credit charged when one of our friends was paying cash. Just a lot of missed

Don’t order take out from them. This was our bean and cheese tacos. Anytime we’ve eaten inside it’s been great. Take out, not so much

First off… terrible service. I’ve been here 3 times and this is my last time coming. Our waitress, I’m not sure if she was having an off day but WOW! Took forever to take our orders, to BRING them out, the appetizer was even late, then we waited 30 minutes just for her to grab our plates, then another 15 minutes for her to bring us the check then another 10 minutes for us to get our change back and that is because my husband went up to the counter to get the receipt and change. Truly disappointed today.

Came here because it was the closest to where I was and I really wanted some good Mexican food. When we arrived, it took them about five minutes to notice we had sat down. They ordered our drinks, brought us Our drinks told us they’d be back with chips and never brought them. We waited for about 10 to 15 minutes and decided to finally go ask for them. I ordered the burrito Jalisco plate with a puffy taco add-on. The puffy taco meat was pale, soft and chewy. It almost felt like children’s kinetic Play-Doh, and looked like it had came out of a dog food can. The rice was a little stuck together, slightly mush. When I cut into my burrito, a puddle of grease formed in the middle of my burrito. It was very un appetizing to look at. I ended up soaking it up with my napkin. Because I was already feeling sick I couldn’t stomach much of the food plus the appearance of it was just very unpleasant. While I was packaging it to go, regretfully, there was a puddle of water on my plate. I’m not sure what from maybe the side salad it was very confusing and I had never seen such a thing. There was almost a cup of water left on my plate. I did end up getting sick when I got home after a couple of hours. I would honestly say it was the worst Mexican food I have ever had in the city of San Antonio. This is a place that you go to if you are not picky and haven’t had a really good Mexican food. I don’t understand why it has so many stars and why so many people go. It was absolutely horrible and so was the service. I left no tip. I will not be going back and I really hope that they improve the food quality.
