I love this place for their happy hour. I can order four spicy salmon rolls for $20. My boyfriend and I always sit at the bar and Ruby is awesome! I went yesterday and noticed that they changed their menus up. It looks so much better! And they have mochi filled with ice cream now!! The strawberry was so good.
The waiter Donovan made my birthday visit so fun and with a free sweet treat after we ate......we realized we forgot to take pics until our last bite ....but we highly recommend the Cosimo Roll the creamy shrimp topping OMG.....drool worthy..... The FBI Roll soooooooo dang yummy topped with eel and eel sauce.......and the simple yet always good Rainbow Roll....wish we had more pics...but just google them.... I swear looks just like the picture when served......we always ask to replace the fake krab with real snow crab....but its good either way.
I order take out once a week as my lunch treat. I generally get the Oaklawn 1/2 & 1/2 because it has so many layers of taste. I sub the out crawfish for the soft shell crab and it makes it a little more decadent. The cucumber sonomo salad makes for a fresh & lite side and the miso soup always warms my soul. I usually get two meals from this one order.
The food is really good and fresh. The sushi prepared well and delicious. The selection is great and you'll be sure to find what you want. The service terrific, too.
We live in Bulverde and decided to drive a little farther to try Sushi Zushi In Lincoln Heights because the one in Stone Oak has been sub par the last several visits. We were so happy we did. A totally different experience!! Our service was phenomenal and the food was on point!! Definitely worth the 5 stars at that location. We’ll definitely be back!!
This location is really fantastic. We previously went to Colonade, but prefer this location now due to an improved atmosphere and outstanding service.
Service and food was GREAT! We had Livi as our server and she is SPECTACULAR! Drinks were delicious too! I highly recommend!!!
The food was wonderful, diverse and lots of Sushi! We tried the Champion Roll, Miso soup, seafood fried rice, steamed rice, mussels appetizer (a little spicy) but good, and two tempura appetizers at our Entrees. A LOT of food! Five - Stars! PS Kip was our waiter.
I'd come back for some small players of sushi when I have the chance. The blackberry burst gives you a really good kick and the sushi is made very well. Stays together and good flavors all around. Also pleasantly surprised with the sweet shrimp sashimi but I was not expecting the heads to be fried and served as a plating decoration.
10/10! This is my first time coming to this location and man, I have been missing out! The bartender was a sweetheart! All recommendations were EXCELLENT. And on a Friday night, I didn’t have to wait for a table. Order the Red Moon roll and the razor sampler! DELICIOUS
To the rob Philips, calm down buddy I'm sure you eat at McDonald's and write reviews. The food was excellent here, the service was slow but the servers attentiveness was outstanding. I will definitely be coming back 💯
Me and my best friend came in for our bestie date and we had the best service. Our waiter Hunter was amazing!🤩 He recommended yalls secret menu which I didn't know yall had, and I have been going to Sushi Zushi since 2011. He recommended the Nevada roll which was amazing. My go to roll is Cosomo Roll. So now I have new favorite roll. As me and my best friend sat talking Hunter bought us fried tempora ice cream. That was so sweet of him. Me and my best friend el be back. Thank you Hunter
Was served by Maya last night and her service was phenomenal. She was super sweet and personable all while providing top tier service. We were super thirsty, drinking a bunch of water, and she made sure our cups were always full. She is great at her job, even chatting with us after we paid out and tipped, which i know she doesn’t have to do, and as a server im sure she was busy. Goes to show that she’s working hard even when she’s already been paid. I asked her for a recommendation, she was super knowledgeable and i ended up with an amazing roll (Solana). I worked food service the last two years and even though it doesn’t bother me, I always subconsciously notice when a point of service is not met. Not this girl! Maya’s got it down to a T. Really appreciate all her hard work last night and I think it warrants a raise! I don’t ever leave reviews but i really wanted management to know how great this girls doing out there. Raise! Promotion! Send it her way!
Hubby had dinner with his Bible Study Fellowship men’s group. Dad and I had a Daddy-Daughter dinner the other night and we went to @sushizushi Lincoln Heights location. Matthew was our server. Dad had Lemonade and I had Green Tea. We shared the Shrimp Tempura (Dad ate most of them), Diamond Roll, and Salmon Sashimi. It was simple yet meaningful and we had some leftovers, which David happily ate when he got home.
Loved this place for both food and sake cocktails! Total value for money. Read below for detailed review. We were here on a weekend for late dinner. The place was not crowded but had some tables filled, ensuring that they followed limited seating capacity protocol due to COVID-19. We had called in earlier to reserve a table. They were taking proper precautions - right from ensuring physical distancing between tables, to taking our food orders and while serving the food. We had ordered the Yuzu Saketini and the Wakatake Sake bottle for drinks. The saketini cocktail was delicious with a nice Yuzu base and smoky aftertaste. I could down glasses of that one! The shishito peppers and spicy edamame were great appetizers. I would definitely recommend the spicy edamame just for their smoked flavor with that just right spicy tangy sauce. The rolls (Delicato, Bora Bora, Tropical, Ragin Cajun, Godzilla) that we ordered were all delicious, no complaints at all. I really liked the Bora Bora roll with shrimp tempura and all four sauces. I found the Delicato roll to be on the heavier side since it was crumbed and deep fried. We loved the chicken yakisoba noodles that we ordered which they customized to make them more spicy. A very good and safe dining experience with quality and tasty food.
I met a girlfriend here for happy hour. We just had an app and a couple of drinks. Our server, Daniel was awesome. Even though we didn’t order much and were just sitting and chatting, he kept checking on us without bothering us. We had some kind of watermelon and basil drink he recommended and wow, it was amazing! Kuddos to the bartender. The sushi I saw coming out looked great, I will be back to try more food, get another yummy drink and hopefully I’ll get Daniel as my server again.
A really great spot for sushi. Everything was authentic and made to perfection. I had various pieces of sushi which were much larger than expected and ended up being a nice treat. The yakisoba was delicious and was a unique recipe with mayo and pickled veggies. Finished up with some mochi ice cream and it was so tasty. I will be coming back here again for sure.
Great service, they are understaffed but who isn't at this point? Angry edamame had great smoky flavor, not that spicy at all. I loved the cucumber salad! My boyfriend got the Tower with tuna and loved it! I got Teppanyaki with chicken, it was a little too salty but I enjoyed the vegetable mix: asparagus, red bell peppers, mushrooms, zucchini, and onions. I would get it again if I'm in a soy sauce kind of mood.
If you’re craving a consistent sushi restaurant, Sushi Zushi is your spot. I highly recommend the Christina and Lincoln Heights rolls. They have great flavors and good quantity for those protein lovers. If you have an appetite, I’d recommend starting with the spicy edamame and mango poke. Pro tip: Come during the week and try the Hawaiian Poke Bento Box, which includes the mango poke and a piece of the Christina.
My bestie and I decided to eat here since this is my first time here at Sushi Zushi and customer service was phenomenal! Hunter is amazing and spoiled my bestie and I! Thank you so much for your excellent service..
Ahtziry was our server tonight! She was amazing my husband and I came in an hour before closing time and she took care of us! Ahtziry was been our server a few times and she always goes above and beyond with her customer service skills!
Very good dinner last night. I tried two new rolls and they were delicious: Flaming Roll and Cosimo Roll. I typically order Bull Roll and Diamond Roll but wanted to expand my world a little and I was not disappointed. The flaming Roll had some kick for sure. The Cosimo Roll was very tasty. I don't normally order cooked sushi but the item was great and I definitely recommend trying it.
2019...The scrumpdiliumpciousness of the food here made it impossible to passerby. My steering wheel always seemed to be taken over by an unseen force until I was parked in front of the restaurant. Lunch-itis used to happen to me here. The staff always treats & talks to me nice. I felt seen here.

Delicioso!!
We came in for lunch. No wait time. Hunter was working the bar and tables. He's super friendly and very thorough waiter & bartender. He's a rock star!! Strawberry roll (without Las Vegas sauce) & Oaklawn Roll had beautiful presentation and were delicious, so yummy I forgot to take photos..lol. The Sunomono salad & seaweed salad also were excellent. Restaurant is clean and staff are service dog friendly. We are frequent fliers here.
The sushi was delicious, but the service really stood out. Our server Farima was welcoming, and very attentive. She explained the menu, made great recommendations, and made us feel taken care of the entire time. I definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be coming back again!
Chirashi bowl was delicious. Very fresh assortment of seafood and sashimi; best I've had since being in Japan. Customer service was.. adequate. I don't know if there is a sock issue, but most sushi places give you a bottle of soy sauce for your table, and wasabi comes with the meal. We got a very tiny plastic container which was not enough for the meal. We had to ask for another. We had to ask for wasabi, and no ginger as well. Again, the food was delicious, but these are common condiments for this type of dining and should be more adequately provided with the meal. So I'm subtracting one star for that.
We stopped in to try this place out for some dinner. They have some really good happy hour roll specials if you get their before 7pm. The rolls we had where really good, it wasn’t very busy so we didn’t have to wait too long. The service was great 👍 they asked how we liked it and refilled the water at least 4 times. This place also offers a very nice atmosphere too.
Happy hour dinner from 4 to 7pm on food and drinks - good place for a date. Happy hour menu is filling and has a good range of flavors and combinations. Clean happy and efficient service. Good ambience, great for kids. The Prickly Pear Lemonade was a refreshing drink. The food is so good, I had no time to take pictures. Recommended. 9 minutes from airport area.
Falta mano de obra los limitan. Excelente opción comida Japonesa. Anuncio luminoso apagado, se batalla para localizarlo de noche.
Buena comida, le falta mejorar el servicio un poco
Bueno solo bueno
The food was nice, the portions were okay, and last time I went I really liked it. But the service was AWFUL this time. First, there was barely anyone there and yet it took them forever to seat us. There wasn’t even anyone at the host stand. Secondly, the waitress couldn’t even pretend like she wanted to be there, she didn’t even smile at me. She had a very disinterested attitude the whole time. The only problems I really had were the service, but the food was good.
Food was good, but the vibes were odd. The menus were physically dirty and crumpled. It was weird. That's an easy fix too. Kinda felt like it's on its way out.
Food was pretty good. Waiter must’ve been new and didn’t know about the menu items or the “secret” menu. The place doesn’t seem really clean. For the past few years there are always annoying gnats flying around in the food. It’s gross.
We understood that we ordered towards the end of the evening (an hour before close), when we saw that our order was scheduled to be done right as they closed we showed up early in case they had it done so that they wouldn’t have to worry about us getting our order right as they were closing, we were told that it would be another 20-25 minutes (understandable we showed up early). We came back 35 minutes later to give them a little extra time, when we walked in our food was sitting in the back waiting to be bagged. We sat for another 15 minutes watching our food get cold as the manager checked out servers and other employees who seemed much more preoccupied with leaving. The food would have been a 5/5 if it hadn’t sat for an extra 15 minutes getting cold and soggy. There was also a banana (pictured) in our vegetable tempura, which seems like an odd choice and was quite honestly very unappetizing, especially with a soggy tempura crust. If this was intentional, they may want to reconsider... that being said, the food was still very good but given the service, we will likely not be dining at this location again.
The food tasted fine, but they should take the time to cut each piece thoroughly. It wasn't pretty, but it tasted fine. Service is slow. Very slow. Friendly, but slow. Place needs a solid deep clean. And add a paper napkin or coaster to catch the condensation from the glass. Condensation Literally ran off the table. SA has better options available. I'll not return.
This is historically on of my favorite restaurants, But it needs a facelift! Clean it up make it nice, The food was sub par.. The fish honestly tasted off and the fruit flies are terrible. We had great service, Daniel was very kind and took great care of us. We will try again but it is definitely time to clean the place up.
What is going on with this restaurant? It used to be so nice now it smells odd, floors are dingy, lighting is off. The menus were sticky and dirty. The sushi was good, but we got a soup dish that was almost inedible. It used to be a happening spot on Friday nights - now hardly anyone there. Management needs to spruce up the place!
SO disappointed in this location. The food was average at best.. and tasted like some were even pre made. *never good, sushi should be FRESH! We frequented the location near Riverwalk many times and loved it! Unfortunately, they are now closed. We wouldn't bother going back to this out of the way location. Everything has gone downhill. Sad.
I hate to be that guy but, ugh won't be returning. 3 hours to get orders of food. An hour per roll. Some hot items were cold!! And cold items warms. Expensive and way too long of a wait to get orders out. Rolls are not that big either. You can go to another place way down Broadway and they have way better happy hour rolls. Like way better. It was even harder to get waited on. I could understand if their excuse was that they had a lot of to go orders. Which was the excuse but stay that in the beginning not the end.. Let people know there will be an extremely long wait so they can decide if they want to wait. Geez! It's only common courtesy. The bill was way over $150.00 so at least be accommodating. Overall 2 stars.
This location has an odd smell to it. Almost like mold. (No it’s not the fish. I’ve been to other locations) There is always gnats flying around. I had a large black speck floating in my Sprite. I never feel clean at this location. Made the mistake of going there recently. So hard to enjoy the food when the environment seems unclean.
My boyfriend and I stopped in here after a long day of Christmas shopping, starving. Disappointed that both our rolls tasted awful. For starters the salmon had a musty taste so bad we picked it off, the other roll had a butane like taste I spit out in my napkin. We will stick to Sushishima from here on out that's money worth spent.
This absolutely sucked way over priced my katsu was not really crispy the sushi was mid I would have rather gotten heb sushi also my waiter was really out of it we asked him for something and he just wasn’t caring or wasn’t paying attention twice we said something to him but he didn’t notice or cared my friend said the check was to be separated but he gave me the whole bill I just paid it and tipped him 5 bucks wouldn’t come back
I was sitting with my wife for dinner, when her and I started talking about gay marriage. I said my input and biblical view on it. 2 mins later they send a waitress out saying we said our waitress Alexis was stupid or dumb the messenger couldn’t get her story straight she said they’d refuse to serve us and the proceeded to ask if we wanted another waitress we were puzzled and the messenger said another waitress over heard us. Sorry but I’ll stand and speak for what I believe. It’s a shame that society has become so soft!! God Over All!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pictures of Food is From Sushi Zushi at stone oak!
I went in today to get my longtime favorite Chirashi Bowl. As a previous server at the Stone Oak location, I'm familiar with the dishes. After a few past experience that weren't too great, I was in the area and decided to give this location another try. The portions were small, with little rice and a few missing pieces of fish. I'm not one to nitpick but I did ask for more rice on the side and the pieces of missing fish. It's a $22 dish. The manager could tell that I was frustrated and he did offer me a refund, which was really nice. I was appreciative. The extra rice that they gave me and the pieces of fish were given to me in a mini Chirashi bowl to-go container. Eating on the go and in hurry in my car, I had put too much joy sauce on the mini- rice, so I transferred the full bowl to the mini portion of rice. The portion is perfectly fit the mini to go container, It wasn't over stuffed it was how a mini would be portioned. So my full Chirashi was in fact a mini. I had asked when calling to place my Togo order, if it was going to be a regular portion and the receptionist said yes. I explained to her that last time (the same thing that happened today) has happened before. She had said that maybe the confusion was because I had ordered a mini Chirashi. I told her that usually I do get the full but that one time I did get the mini. She assured me that I would be getting the corrected portion and it would not be an issue. I was really hoping this time would be different and I would've enjoyed this meal. Sushi Zushi has always been one of my favorite places to dine. This location particularly has left me disappointed the past handful of times. A long winded review for sure, It's just a shame that I no longer have a favorite sushi place to treat myself.
Review: Avoid This Sushi Spot – Dirty and Disappointing I recently visited, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the place felt unclean. The tables were sticky, the floor looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in days, and even the sushi bar had visible grime. Hygiene is crucial when it comes to sushi, and this place fails miserably. I would strongly recommend avoidingvunless they make serious improvements. There are plenty of cleaner, fresher options elsewhere! ⭐ 1/5 – Stay away!
Does this place hate families? My husband, 2-year-old daughter, and myself walked in and asked for a table. We sat for 10 minutes with no help.. I proceeded to ask a waiter nearby if she was our waitress.. when she said no, I asked if she could send us ours. A group of adults was sat next to us as we waited. A waiter, walked passed our table and attended to them immediately.. I spoke to the manager before we left and all she said was, “I’m so sorry.” I’ll never bring my family here again. You’ve been warned.
Heads up! The photo is from a different location!!! My husband and I just left this location after being told our server was uncomfortable because another server said we called her stupid then later said we called her dumb. Which we never did. In fact, seconds prior to being approached I had complimented her for being “sweet” after getting my husband a bottled water since she served him tap water and he didn’t like it. Never once did we call Alexis a name. To be honest, the place was empty and seemed a bit slow compared to other times we have gone months ago. I am assuming the staff and management is struggling. We happily decided to leave and take our business and tip to another location. Definitely won’t be back to this one! I have never had an issue like this before and am completely shocked. Save yourself the surprise and enjoy your sushi at another location!!! (:
The fish had a very strong funky smell to it, it smelled expired. There were lots of fruit flies in the building and the building itself inside did not smell clean, had a bit of a sewage smell to it. We had to return our sashimi due to that smell settled with the fried roll and fried rice.
