We dined in here since sushi and sashimi aren't something that are ideal for delivery/take-out. The restaurant makes every customer use a hand sanitizer that they provided upon entry. Their tables are farther apart which is great for social distancing. You can use your own phone (through QR coding) to view the menu (no need for menu print outs). They have a dedicated person who sanitizes each table to include chairs and chair handles. All these precautions are helpful if you're worried about safety. As for the food, we ordered shrimp and vegetable tempura, rainbow roll and their a la carte sashimi. Their sashimi was very fresh. The salmon just melted in my mouth. The rainbow roll is fresh and well put together. The tempura has a great variety of shrimp and vegetables. The amount of the servings fits the price just right. We enjoyed our dining experience during this crazy COVID time. NOTE: We already started devouring our sushi and sashimi before I was able to take a pic of it.
Help me welcome my new favorite from Wasabi Sushi Bistro!😋🥳 This dish is everything you need to conquer your day. Fresh, tangy, zesty, heat are all words I'd used to describe what was happening in my mouth, as I was chewing down of this delicious dish. From the avocados, to the sashimi, to the vegetables - every bites was like the first. But don't take my word for it, go taste @wasabisushisa for yourself🔥 I shall see you again Spicy Sashimi Avocado Salad!❤️
Unagi roll eel roll is fresh and made for you right there and then. San antonio roll is the best. Deep fried and full of flavor. Check out the saki for a little jump start. Mimosas $5 on special. Did I mention the rolls are double the size of the ones they make at HEB? San antonio roll is x3 the size for the same price.
Absolutely amazing wonderful experience. David was making sushi( some of the best I've ever had ) and Reggie was our waitor( phenomenal). The entire experience was great and we will be going back soon!
Visiting by chance was worth the visit, Food was awesome! Serves were friendly and attentive. Had the Batman Sushi roll to go with our meal I highly recommend it! If in the area it's definitely a place to eat!
I have worked in the industry for 8 years and been to the countless Japanese restaurants. I gave the restaurants 5 stars in the sense that it met my expectations. I've ordered Hamachi kama, yellow tail heaven, Hae-dubbob, Omake Delux. Every meal was good and delicous. The lady server was very fast and friendly. The proof that the owner and management is experienced. This is a very affordable and neighborhood kind of Japanese restaurant. Note that they have happy hours 4-7pm. Will be back again if I am in town again
Prices are inexpensive for the excellent quality! They also offer happy hour every day from 4-7 and lunch special for bento. I've always gone when business is slower and the service is fine. They give you some miso soup and their house salad before your meal. Very quaint atmosphere, I love coming here with a friend or by myself.
Awesome recommendations from our waiter staff and place was great everything was delicious! From starters to sushi to drinks recommend this place to anyone looking for a good sushi spot!
I stayed at the hotel across the street and decided to have dinner here. I don't eat at sushi bistros often, but I'm very glad I came. My waiter, Reggie, gave outstanding service. He truly cares about customer service. He treated me so well that it felt like this was his own business. As a small business owner myself, I recognize things like that. I later found out that Reggie isn't even in a management position (yet), which blew me away. I have no doubt he'll succeed in this industry, and I hope Wasabi recognizes that early enough to create an avenue for him before he does it somewhere else. He recommended the yakisoba noodles (which I've never eaten), and they were phenomenal. I can't wait to show my friends this place.
Awesome meal. Staff was friendly, and fast! Food was delicious and the yaki soba reminded me of being in Okinawa. Hot and tasty. Great time here. I normally order to go for lunch, but this was my first time going in for dinner in person. Sushi was on point, and nigiri was fresh.
The service and sushi were impeccable. The waitstaff went above and beyond to make sure our visit was pleasant. Definitely would recommend and visit again.
I was visiting San Antonio from Dallas and stayed at the Westin. Reggie at Wasabi made the trip special. He showed me the hotel guest deals, recommended amazing food, and even made the best boba tea I’ve ever had. Super friendly and welcoming. If you go to Wasabi, ask for Reggie!
Incredible!!! Wonderful ambience, and Reggie was such a sweetheart. Fantastic recommendations, even beyond the food. The happy hour menu has plenty of options for food and drinks, and great prices :) Definitely worth a return visit 🤩
Wonderful Happy Hour! The food is quite tasty, and unlike so many venues these days the ambience is quiet enough to have a relaxing conversation. Service is especially attentive. Katya, our server, was particularly personalable and responsive. Happy Hour prices are great, and even their hot Sake is quire drinkable. I would highly recommend the Mongolian bBeef dish particularly - the beef is tender and flavorful. Although, I would personally suggest the white rice over the fried rice. The vegetable tempura and egg rolls are also stand outs. Visit here for Happy Hour and you will NOT be disappointed.
The weekdays lunch box deal is incredible, 8-10 dollars gets you your choice of meat, rolls, tempura and eggroll/gyoza. For dinner, the 29.95 sashimi+sushi+roll combo is a great value too. See pics for the size of the lunch box and the seafood combo. And they have an item called "whatever roll" if you are unsure about which rolls you should pick. LOL.
What an amazing experience!! We took the sushi class and Reggie was such a great instructor. The food was delicious and the class was a perfect pace. Fun memories made!
Yellowtail Sushi roll super delicious! We will be back again as our service was very good even though kitchen had a wait at least we were informed prior to being seated as well as once seated. So the Miso soup & Calamari appetizer was in good timing to hold over the little wait time.
I've been coming here for about 15 years. Wasabi is that neighborhood sushi spot that makes you feel like family. The sushi is incredible and always tastes fresh. They have amazing specials, especially during lunch. The Firecracker roll and the nigiri platters are my favorite lunch gets. Apart from the food, service is always top-notch. Reggie is awesome and makes the experience fun while catering to your needs. The chefs are helpful and super friendly as well, often times engaging with the bar customers. 13/10 Highly recommend. Would come here for another 15 years. - Leon, The Professional
First time trying this place and I absolutely loved it! Our waitress Devon was incredible, always checked up on us if we were needing anything, great customer service! Amazing food for a great price. Oh did I mention they give you so much food! Definitely recommend asking for Devon if you plan on coming here!
I was in town for business and went here for dinner last night and had a great experience. The menu has a wide variety of sushi and other dishes. I had the asparagus roll to start and then had the garlic chicken. Both were great. The service was excellent. Armando was training a new server and they both did an excellent job and very service oriented. I will be back and have been telling my co-workers.
Feb. 2023: Tonight was celebrating a dear friend's birthday and she chose @wasabisushisa for dinner. It had been a while since I last visited. Happy hour is everyday from 4pm to 7pm. From the happy hour menu, we ordered Chilean Sea Bass with shishito, Bacon Wrapped Scallops, Yellowtail, Salmon, Escolar, Snapper and Shrimp Nigiri. The steal was the Sea Bass! Cooked to perfection and only $8.99! We also had the Iron Chef Roll and Spider Roll. So much delicious food! We shared the Nigori sake. For the birthday, they served Tempura Ice Cream! #burp The interesting thing is that they also serve Korean and Chinese dishes. Need to bring Dad and hubby here. I think they would enjoy! If you're in the Medical Center area, this is a must stop place! 2020: Yesterday was International Sushi Day and we stopped to try Wasabi out for happy hour. It wasn't very crowded. I tried the hot sake and it was very good. While we waited for our food, we were served complimentary miso soup and salad. I also noticed the pretty stained glass windows there. Definitely felt that there were several nigiri sushi options for happy hour, which both my husband and I like. When the servings came out, I felt that the pieces were pretty generous slices and very fresh. The salmon skin roll was really delicious with the avocado, cucumber and eel sauce. Maybe next time I'll try some of the happy hour rolls. Lee did a great job with her service and checking on us. We're looking forward to stopping back again.
First timer from out of town and boy we hit pay dirt with this one! A++ would definitely recommend if your looking for good tasty sushi and some familiar favorites. We had the Texas roll, Ichiban roll, Monkey bomb, and Chicken Yakisoba and sadly we couldn't finish it all between two people but we sure tried. Service was good and atmosphere was great for 2pm. ENJOY ‼️

Great experience! I came here with a 10-person group and not only was the service excellent, but the staff was very flexible while working with our group. Our server Katya Y was fantastic and ensured that all of our group’s needs were met. The Sushi was very good, and the presentation was picture-perfect. To the Manager and Katya, thank you for working with our group and for such a wonderful experience. We look forward to coming back in the future.
HIGHEST QUALITY SUSHI IN SAN ANTONIO! My fiancé & I have adored & sworn by this restaurant for over 4 years now. The lunch special selection is vast, seafood is as fresh as it can get inland, & the location is desirable. My favorite server is Katya! She is so warm & friendly. The first 2 photos are the maki 2, where you pick from their maki roll list (I ordered a yellowtail & salmon roll, along with 2 pieces of tamago sushi). The last photo is the maki 3 (yellowtail roll, unagi roll, jumbo volcano roll, with the addition of 2 pieces of escolar sushi). The fish is buttery soft, melts in your mouth, & the rice is perfectly infused- certainly the most delicious sushi rice you can ask for. If you’re in the I-10/410 vicinity, do yourself a favor & check them out. Your tastebuds will thank you.
We LOVE coming here, the fish is so fresh and the service is amazing! Katya is always our server and she’s the reason we keep coming back. If you haven’t been you need to go!
We were initially put off because it took quite a while for anyone to take our drink order, but it was fairly busy. Despite the slow service at first we were extremely happy with the food. The spicy crab spring rolls are amazing. Our sushi had incredible flavor and presentation, and the chicken katsu plate had far more than I expected for the price.
First time trying and it was great! The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere is nice, and there's a good amount of items on the menu. Had the gyoza and some fried calamari as a starter; the gyoza was delicious and tasted like a spring roll, the calamari was light and fluffy but had some great flavor especially with the sauce. The hot night roll was good and a bit spicy but definitely worth it, and the yakisoba combination was tasty. Steven the server who took our order was very friendly and answered questions without issue or doubt, was very attentive and made the experience great all together.
Absolutely loved this place! The sushi was fresh and flavorful, and the presentation was beautiful. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I highly recommend the spicy tuna roll and the tempura appetizer both were amazing. Cozy atmosphere, great service, and fair prices. Will definitely be coming back!
I was pleasantly surprised. Got the beef teriyaki Bentonville box and it was excellent. Service was great also. Everyone had a great attitude.
I read that this restaurant has recently gone under new ownership/management. I tried it out this week3nd And everything i ate was fantastic. The decor is a bit old school and they could use better lighting outside to show that it is open but to me it doesnt matter, i was there to eat and was super satisfied. I read older reviews from a few months back and i think they should give it another try.
If you like sashimi and good sushi rolls look no further. My husband and I had a quick lunch here and I already want to go back. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. They also have fresh wasabi available for an extra charge. I highly recommend the yellowtail. No smell and a velvety texture. Absolutely perfect!
Reggie was our server and he was so sweet from the second we walked in and met the hostess to getting seated. My fiancé and him hit it off talking about their careers, and he was very pleasant to talk to! Service was fast and I never had to ask for anything other than my order because of how knowledgeable and observant Reggie was. The food was really good, and the Mongolian beef was to die for. The fried rice was really good to pair it with! It was a very relaxing night for us both, and we loved the conversation. We’re both in sales, and it was nice having that conversation in such a relaxing setting! Thank you Reggie!
Our go to sushi place in town. Wasabi makes the best rolls in town. Great mix of traditional rolls to local inspirations (Spurs Roll), we've tried 5-6 sushi places locally, wasabi is the only one we keep going back to every time. Exceptional food, excellent staff (so friendly and helpful!). Wonderful experience, take out food is always packed well for safe transport home. Would absolutely recommend, looking forward to our next meal from Wasabi.
First time here. I love it. The sushi chefs have skill and make really nice rolls. Reggie was my server and he told me he made the best boba tea and so i ordered the coconut one and wasn't disappointed. He's hilarious too.. one of the best servers I've ever had...give this guy a promotion! I was just visiting for a conference but i think I'm going to make this my restaurant to go to every year!
Went around opening yesterday and seemed to be the first customers in! We decided to have lunch here before hitting the road and it was a great experience. The bento box was very filling and delicious and I really enjoyed the salad and miso soup given too! We had amazing service as well. :)
I’ve been here twice in the last few months. Once for lunch and once for a later dinner. Both times it was pretty empty, but the food and service were absolutely amazing! I don’t understand how this place isn’t busy all the time! The atmosphere is a little old fashioned and dim-lit, but it’s worth it!
I enjoyed my food and the atmosphere is very relaxing with soothing jazz music. The sushi was fresh and portion size was medium or better. Staff was friendly, too. They give you a complimentary little salad and soup, too. I like the decor inside, it is kind of like a cocoon from the noise of the highway nearby. Perfect walking distance from the Westin Omni hotel next door if you are staying there.
The number of boats and meals my friends and I get here after a long day are numerous. If you go during happy hour, there are fairly priced rolls that are delicious. They are generous with their sides as well. Their fried San Antonio Spurs roll is woo! I always ask for extra spicy Mayo. I’ve moved but I love this place. Try their dessert too yum.
Came to check it out since it under new management! It is the crew from Kai, so no disappointment with food or service! Delicious and fresh as always!

Amazing staff. Best Customer service. katia is an amazing staff member. Would definitely recommend this location.
Reggie, the sushi chef makes great rolls to order. Sit at the bar. Makes great conversation.
Had sushi and chicken yakisoba- yummy!\nGet matcha green tea!\nReggie was a great server!\nWill be back many times
The food was amazing as well as the service. Reggie was phenomenal! The restaraunt was clean and great vibes.

I look forward to going there every time. The food is always good. Sometimes they have soup and salad and sometimes they’re out but it’s always good as well. The servers are always quite happy to see you. It feels more like I’ve walked into a friends or families restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Go enjoy your family with amazing food.
The place was pretty good, not excellent, but worth a try. The Mongolian beef was amazing and tender while the teriyaki beef was kind of tough. Sushi was good and we snuck in a few mins before happy hour ended so we got to do a sakibomb which we began to feel quickly. I'd recommended out, worth going again! Only reason 4 stars was the teriyaki beef. They did make things right though!
Upon entering the door, we were greeted with a sewer smell. Other than that this place has great food and great service.
The best place to have sushi’s! Period. If you are in San Antonio you must definitely try this place. The welcome soup and salad is on point. The soya soup with tofu is perfect to increase the appetite, a lil bit on salty end but nice. The peanut dressing on salad surprises the taste bud. I tried 4 different rolls The wasabi roll The red dragon roll The dragon roll The sushi fever roll And each one of the roll is uniquely best! Do try them and others too! Always ask the server and they suggest the best! I wish I could give a 5 star rating, but the fried rice I tried was totally below the belt! It was a disaster, the chicken tasted bad and the rice as well. But definitely a place to eat Sushi Only! I would like to say yo the Chef! “Arigato!”
I walked around the area for a couple of hours and decided on sushi. Checked out the reviews and the prices of the lunch. Pretty much sold after that point. They opened at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, and I was welcomed in by a supervisor or manager a couple minutes before opening and I was able to sit at the sushi bar. They still have digital menus so you need to have your phone to check it out. I got the 3 Maki lunch special and I can't complain. A bit over $13 for the 3. I believe it was $13.50. It came with a complimentary Miso Soup and lettuce salad with an interesting dressing. Will definitely come back! Unagi Roll (eel) Crunch Roll Sashimi Roll
Well this was interesting. I've never really had quite this experience at a nice, sushi place. It has a nice atmosphere with almost no one there at 3:20pm. We got there and had to wait from the very beginning. We waited about 10 minutes for our drinks. Then about 15 minutes to get an order in. We left around 5:20pm. So, yes it was about 2 hours that we spent there ; we expected to be there only 1 hour. There was only one waitress, few tables. She seemed frazzled. Then she forgot about our calamari that I had to remind her. Every single time I wanted to ask her something or tell her something, she'd try to not let me talk and would tell me "to wait a while". It kind of got to the the point of rudeness. I think she was frustrated and then realized she was being "off-colored". Then she forgot about our roll, that I then again had to remind her about. The food was great, however the service was not. As much money as we spent, I would expect better service. I understand if you're busy, but they should hire more waitstaff. I hoped the service to match the food. So, maybe a little more customer service goes a longgreat way. I would perhaps go again, however hope to get better service next time. The green tea is great. The appetizers are good as well: side salad, monkey bombs (very good), sushi is great here. If you get the green tea mochi, its heavy on the green tea. Cheers!
First time here. Forgot the extra salmon I paid $3 for. Could've been worse. Super small green tea for $4. This is Texas, need hydration. Food was excellent. Had the Monky Bombs, kimchi, omakase with the crazy salmon roll and the spicy salmon roll. Amazing! Curbside isn't really curbside, when I got there and called, the girl that answered said "instead of me walking all the way around the building to you, just park at the entrance and come inside." Will go back again, definitely gives Yellowfish sushi a run for the money!
This is a nice restaurant. I really enjoy coming here for lunch and getting a bento box ( beef bulgogi box or tempura are my favorites). I also come here in the evenings with a large party (12-14) and have no problem getting seating as it's a large restaurant. I typically order from the sushi menu in the evening and it's always good. The prices are reasonable and it's great for a casual friends gathering or a quick work lunch bite.
What a wonderful little gem! We stopped in after a doctor appointment and are immediately sold on Wasabi. It's a fun place with cpzy, private booths, EXCELLENT food and some of the nicest staff we've come across. We rated 4-stars and honestly that feels unfair. It doesn't feel like a 5-star restaurant... and that's a good thing. Happy hour prices makes this very affordable if you want a good deal on a very good sushi experience this is the place for you, you will absolutely not be disappointed.
Five of us came here on a Wednesday during happy hour. Initially only 4 arrived; but a 5th joined us and they let us move to a larger table. Good waitstaff, good service, and good food. Pictured is the softshell crab (tasted not fully clean), sesame chicken (excellent), calamari (excellent), and spicy tuna roll (excellent). Also had the Bulgogi Rice Bowl (not pictured); but it was way too sweet. First time dining here though. The whole experience was pleasant. Thank you.

I dropped by during happy hour for an early dinner. The spicy tuna roll I had with eel sauce, avocado and tempura crunchies was pretty meh. Spicy but not very interesting. The chicken katsu was huge but bland. Neither the fried chicken nor the dipping sauce left any impression. I left without finishing 2/3 of the katsu. Good service but not a lot of authentic Japanese influence here. (They also serve Chinese food) If you are ok with that, then it's not the worst place to eat!
This place is really cozy and clean. I see this place really good for hanging out with friends and family. It also gives the vibes of Japan at some point. Service was good, accommodating and really nice. The food delivery is not fast at all tho based on our experience. We've waited for like almost an hour to get a one order of sushi. But the appetizer and soup will came fast. The food itself was not really enticed my taste. It's more of sauce taste than the sushi itself so as the other order we had. I like more their miso soup. It's not a bad experience nor good so am giving my three stars. To know more to go to places follow our insta @roadtwoadventure
This place wasn't busy at all when I dropped by so the service was quick. They sat me in a booth that had dim lights with roll down blinds. I assume the blinds are for a more intimate setting/privacy. I thought that was pretty cool. Their Miso soup may be the best I've ever had. The shrimp and vegetable tempura was pretty good and the salad had a nice sesame/mayo dressing. I thought I wouldn't like it, but I did. The sushi was ok. The textures were there but the flavors were missing. I had the shrimp tempura roll and the California roll. The shrimp tempura was a little gummy, but the eel sauce made it a lot better. The California roll was about average. The presentation of everything was amazing as well. The customer service was great and prompt! Overall, I would say this place isn't bad if you want to knock the craving out.

This review contradicts a lot of the newest reviews I've seen posted for Wasabi, but it's my honest recount of today's experience with my family. It was a hot SA day (as usual) and my family and I were looking for a quick meal after picking up my son from school. I should say that Wasabi is not our first pick when it comes to sushi in the medical center area, but our usuals were busy and/or not opened for dinner yet... anyways, we park in the empty parking lot and make our way inside. The restaurant was so stuffy! I wondered if maybe the A/C was struggling to keep the building cool because there was a blower fan running in the corner where they sat us. Aside from the uncomfortable room temperature there was an unpleasant smell. I describe it as an old fried oil musk. Enough about the atmosphere—time to describe the dishes. I ordered calamari for the table... never have I EVER been served calamari perfectly shaped like onion rings. Calamari by nature is imperfect and small ringlets. So we all hesitantly tried this "calamari" and it tasted as fake as it looked. *shocking* That dish was left for trash. Next, we ordered a tonkatsu bento box, beef broccoli, a California roll, and a small side of simple fried rice. Everyone agreed that by no means was anything appetizing about these meals, however, we clearly racked up a bill each ordering our own dinner plates. We're not ones to let food go to waste... if I had the money to walk out of this place after taking the first bite of our main meals, I would have! Aside from today's visit, our prior dining experience (within the last 6 months) also left a bad impression on us both in food and atmosphere quality. Today's visit was a hope that last time was just a one-off bad time, but unfortunately it was even worse. We will not be returning and stick loyal to our more favored sushi establishments.
When we walked it the restaurant smelled moldy like a damp mop and the hostess made a comment about how we just missed the lunch rush. As if she was covering up for the empty dining areas. The last few times we have come in we were one of the only tables there. Yet since we have been coming here for years, we proceeded. While our server, Katya, was amazing the food quality was lacking. The bulgogi meat felt stringy and tasted bland. The tempura vegetables were almost too greasy to eat. I pulled the batter off mine. However, the worst part of the night was when I went to wash my hands and the bathroom smelled like an open sewer just like it had last month when we came. The quality of the food and the cleanliness has really gone down hill recently. Unfortunately, we are taking this off of rotation of date locations.
This place used to be our go to but the last time showed how much it's fallen off. We ordered ahead, got there 20-25 minutes later, and no one appeared to be working. The staff were casually carrying on a conversation at the bar while I was waiting at the kiosk. I told them I put in an online order and the lady said she didn't have it. She looked at the online order receipt and there it was, because they were all sitting at the bar, no one was tending the front of the house. I told her I didn't have the time to wait and if the order wasn't ready I needed to cancel the order. She apologized and asked if I would wait, I said no, I really didn't have the time. She said she would refund my account, it's been 3 weeks and I had to go through Chase to get the refund (which took all of 2 automated minutes). The atmosphere and food was really good in the past, but a customer shouldn't feel like they're intruding on your living room or personal time, which is exactly what it felt like waiting there for a couple minutes before I had to speak up. I thought the staff were paying customers the way the were conversating and sitting at the bar. It was a ghost town in there, I don't think we'll be going back and I'm sure the lack of customers was probably a good indication I wasn't the first person to notice all of this.
Well, I never say this but eat before you come. The portions are tiny....and so pricey for such small servings. The garlic edadme was so dang delicious that why this palce has 2 stars rather than 1. Everything else was edible, nothing special. The server never refilled our drinks. The place was so slow. I dont know why it took so long to seat us. The space looks big, but whoever designed the tables layout messed up because there is so much space that they made unusable. I wouldn't come again.

I was so disappointed coming here. This is normally my favorite sushi restaurant. I've been coming here for years but when I walked in today it was so humid and musty. The restaurant smelled like s…
I would not recommend wasabi, and definitely think there are better options for sushi. I ordered a shrimp tempura roll and was severely disappointed it came wrapped in soy paper which was not…
New owners new vibe NO BUENO!!! THE RESTAURANT is now just looks run down and empty. We always loved sitting at the bar to watch the sushi chefs do their work. We came in to a sour smell of a bar that was mopped with a mildew mop. First thing we noticed on arrival. Daniel was the sushi chef and his Rainbow roll was GREAT! We then were greeted by the only server in sight. There were 3 tables he had to tend to which one table were just talking and already done. The server was over worked and seemed a bit perturbed. (Totally understandable) but not our fault. We ordered drinks besides the soapy water that we got upon arrival but never got them. We decided this isn't the spot anymore, which is sad. So I hope the new owners read their reviews and can make the changes. I want to say we would try again but I think I would be lying.
i waited at the front counter for 10+ min while waiting for any staff member to help or acknowledge me. when i asked the chef for help they told me keep waiting. when i was finally help they didn’t apologize for the wait or thank me for waiting the person walked off be for we even finished the transaction.i love the food here but is it worth having to wait so long to be helped i don’t think so i will be finding a new favorite spot .ps i did try calling my order ahead but they don’t having a working phone number.
I used to eat here all the time. My most recent visit where I bought the salmon and eel sashimi, it gave me food poisoning. It's been days with no end in sight. Just unbelievable stomach pains.
As a person who used to come here kinda often it surprises how they thank me by rising the prices and putting a lb of sugar to every dish they make, or using rotting salmon for my sushi. Also if u come like 45 min before closing time they deny the entry. Never coming to this cheap abandoned place again. The free miso is literally just warm bottled water. Unacceptable treatment.
I’m super disappointed. Drove here today ordered a pam pam roll and I’m not sure what I got. It looked like cheddar cheese was graded on the top. I usually always order from here. SUPER DISAPPOINTED. I had to drive all the way back and return it. Absolutely not.
The food is unremarkable. I came with a group around 530pm and it was pretty quiet. I ordered ramen and the noodles were hard and stuck together. The broth had no flavor, and the egg was hard boiled to the point it was grey on the outside of the yolk. The tonkatsu that accompanied the ramen was very oily and overcooked. The pan fried gyoza were edible. The restroom was in such poor condition my friend said she heaved walking in. The music playing was not conducive to a cheerful environment. No issues with the service.
Absolutely inedible. The sushi rice lacked any flavor and was completely undercooked. The bento togo was SMASHED into one container. Everything was soggy and inedible. They forgot the tempura sauce. California roll in the bento absolutely fell apart from the soggy steam. Tako and Ebi nigiri smelled awful and were inedible. I asked for extra ginger which they failed to provide. The wasabi was not spicy at all. The edamame had no salt on it and was cold. The $4 salad is literally 2 bites of spring mix... but online it says that is is iceberg lettuce. All of it was just absolutely inedible and disgusting. Do not recommend.
We had a quick birthday lunch there. The food is very standard Chinese-Japanese. We came during lunch special time, but - they charged us full price making up stories about special rates and still over charging. The booth table was dirty with our arms sticking to it. It was too dark and very gloomy. Overall, quite disappointing. Now, all three of us have upset stomachs. Did they change the ownership lately?
This is why the restaurant business is so hard to get into and stay in. You have one chance to make an impression. When we first got seated, our table was dirty. Leftover chunks of food from the last customer dirty. Gross. Our waiter was subpar at the best. We had to ask for my wife's Sprite 3 times. She finally got her drink when our dinner arrived. FYI, we ordered appetizers too. He would disappear for extended periods. The food, ugh. I ordered the beef and broccoli plate. Broccoli was way over cooked and soggy, blah! The flavor of my plate was just okay. My wife had sushi and she said, we should of just went to HEB, the sushi there is better. The restaurant was hot, I was burning up the whole time, which I'm sure being uncomfortable didn't help with my state of mind for this review. But even my cold all the time wife said it was hot. Lastly, bathrooms. Is it a surprise if I say they were dirty, well, they were. 🤦🏽♂️ Definitely a pass with so many other options out there.
