This place was wonderful. My family and I walked here for dinner, and when we walked in, it was only a few minutes until we got seated. The food was wonderful. My favorite was this crispy sweet and salty shrimp. The skin was so crispy, the glaze was perfect! This place is the best. I love it!

I have eaten Beijing duck in Beijing China. So I could tell the Beijing duck here is very traditional. The soup we ordered is very fresh and good as well. I think it is called 冬阴汤. highly recommend. The other dish with beef is good as well. 5 ⭐️

Beijing cuisine. Suitable for dinner for two or more people. Golden tablecloths, pane ceilings, interior decoration have the style of the old Beijing hotel. Can order pickup and delivery. The dishes are mainly Beijing dishes, and there are also some popular dishes from other cuisines. There are roast ducks that have not been tried yet. I went to eat with the Beijingers. According to Beijingers, most of the dishes are more authentic. There are Beijing snacks, yangxiezi hot pot, and ordinary hot pot. Recommended dishes: Black pepper beef with golden garlic, lamp chops, sour soup white meat.

Probably one of the best beijing duck Ive ever had in the bay area. So juicy and yummy. We got the small size and the portion was enough for 3 girls.

Our favorite spot for peking duck in SF. The crispy skin and thin wrappers are UNBEATABLE. We’ve tried several other spots and Boiling Beijing just knocks it out the park. Their other dishes are delicious too - love their dan dan noodles and shredded potatoes as well.

I’ve dined in and ordered weekend breakfast. All the dishes were tasty with reasonable price. I especially impressed by the fried shrimp, it has a great flavor and beautifully appearance. I kind of regret taking it back home instead of having it right away. I heard this place is famous for the Peking duck l, though I don’t have a chance to try it. Definitely will come again.

The Beijing duck here is AMAZING! We had lunch here and it was the most satisfying food I had recently. I’m so glad we tried this place. We had a small Beijing duck combo. First time I had purely the skin with sugar (which is one of the way they suggested to eat), so crispy! Loved it! And I also made the rolls with duck meat, cucumbers, green onions and sauces, they’re so delicious! Not mention the duck soup, absolutely yum! The small combo is a great portion for 2 people, we finished half of them and packed the rest for dinner. Highly highly recommend! If you’re interested in Beijing roasted duck this is the place in Bay Area. I’ve tried different places in South Bay, east bay, sf, this one is the best! Tips: we called them one day in advance to reserve a duck and make an appointment. Make sure call them first and enjoy your duck!

First time trying Peking duck from Boiling Beijing, and it tasted amazing. Our family of 12 were all raving to come back next time. We also got a bunch of other dishes. Sweet and sour whole fish was also another favorite of ours. We really like the Beijing herbal tea as well.

I am Chinese and I wanted my Muslim friend and her family to try some authentic Chinese food, so I decided to take them here after doing some research. They were able to confirm that the duck was Halal, as were some of the other dishes (you have to ask carefully). They were even able to accommodate us by omitting pork from some dishes that would otherwise have had it. Very good service! I did make a reservation for the duck and table ahead of time as we had a large party. We had a great experience with the food as well! The Peking roast duck was perfectly cooked, and I would highly recommend the duck soup, which was incredibly flavorful. The squirrel fish was also delicious and crispy, and the black pepper beef and sizzling plate cumin lamb were crowd favorites. I would highly recommend this place. The restaurant does have a small parking lot beside the building, but it gets full pretty quickly during busy hours so I found parking to be a bit tricky.

One of the best Peking Ducks in town. Crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Wrapped by steamed wraps, Peking Sauce, scallion and cucumbers. It was just pure perfection. Every dish was done right. Staffs were super easygoing. My Beijing’er friends showed me this place as a hidden gem in San Francisco and I’m glad to have the honor of trying it tonight! Very orthodox, very authentic as though I’m physically in Beijing. Way to go!

Very authentic Chinese food! 松鼠桂鱼 is super good, one of the best in the bay area! The peking duck is also good, though a bit cold when we got it. This place is very popular, good to arrive before 6pm on weekends. Also, parking is not easy, may need to park a few blocks away.

This place was amazing. Some of the best Sichuan food I've had. All the dishes were great and I definitely recommend coming with a big group to try as many as possible. My personal favorite was the golden garlic beef.

I called for reservation and I just want to try if I can make reservation for Lunar New year because I know it will be very busy for the restaurant or worst they are close. But they are open and we were able to reserved. They also asked me if we want the roasted duck which this restaurant is famous. The place is in San Bruno and it is easy to locate. The ordering system is very efficient. You just need to use the qr code use your phone to make an order. The food serving is very fast and we do not need to wait long. Food serving is generous and you need to ask if how many can accommodate the food. The price is very reasonable. We enjoyed the food and the place. I highly recommend this. Btw, they are so busy when we visited. They have a lot of online orders but they were able to manage to attend to our needs efficiently. They have michelin citation 2017 idk what happened but i think they deserve to have that again. :)

Excellent traditional Chinese cuisine in a family friendly setting. After finding a parking space across the street, we quickly placed the order and were enjoying the hot tea. By the time we leave, the room was filled up (of local families). All dishes were well prepared and tasted delicious. We will try the Peking duck in our next trip.

I was recommended Boiling Beijing by a local in Chinatown, and I’m so glad I took their advice. Hands down, this is the best Peking duck I’ve had in San Francisco and honestly, the best I’ve had in a long time. It was crispy, juicy, packed with flavor, and absolutely out of this world. I personally found it better than the one at Z&Y. If you want the Peking duck, make sure to call and reserve it ahead of time it runs out fast. Yes, it’s on the pricier side compared to other spots, but the quality justifies it. The place was packed, and almost every table was filled with Chinese families enjoying dinner which is a great sign that this spot is truly authentic. They also offer a stir-fry made from the remaining duck bones, which is a nice touch, though we were too full to enjoy it and had to pass on it. We also ordered the beef with garlic, which was just okay, nothing remarkable. But I’d 100% return just for the duck. The staff are polite, though not overly chatty but everything runs smoothly. You can scan a QR code at the table to order, and food comes out impressively fast. Super efficient service. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving legit Peking duck in SF.

Good: - The food came out really quickly - Prices for the most lavish set of courses was just $33 per person - The duck was great, I liked all of the little things it came with too - I loved the crispy shrimp the most, it was really tasty and also tasted sweet while being savory - The staff were all super nice with taking photos for us and also answering our questsion - We got to cut the cake inside and eat it! Bad: - Food is all pretty greasy overall but that's expected - The place is a bit more casual and loud but it's bustling and high energy Overall would come again - really solid asian food!

I ordered Chinese food here and had it delivered to my address. The food here was very good and reasonably priced. The dumplings and the soup I. Had here was spicy and just the way I like it. The ambiance and the service was good too from what I’ve read about them. I highly recommend them if you ever are in San Bruno California. I give them 5 stars ⭐️

The Beijing roast duck was great. It was better than the Beijing roast duck I had in London. I would say it’s best one I’ve had in the Bay. I also like how thin the wrappers were and the duck bone soup it came with was really delicious as well. You have to reserve it in advance. We also ordered a few more things. The spicy cold beef combination was luckily not too spicy for me and had a nice, sweet yet savory flavor. I also enjoyed the Beijing style sweet cake more than I expected. It was the perfect amount of chewiness with a crispy outside. Overall I really like this restaurant’s food. Parking: There is a lot next to the Boiling Beijing restaurant that you can park. 2 hour parking limit.

Got to try this place for the first time today after craving Chinese food! Parking was really easy and there were plenty of seats inside. Tables are clean and service was super fast. The owner was very friendly and suggested a lot of special Beijing-style dishes. We ordered: -spicy cold beef combo appetizer -black pepper angus beef with golden garlic -Beijing style crispy shrimp -griddle cooked cabbage with pork I have to say that every single dish was a 5/5 for me. The angus beef was tender and the garlic pieces paired so well with the meat. The crispy shrimp was seriously one of the best shrimp dishes I have ever had in my life. You eat the entire shell with the shrimp and it’s so crispy and delicious! The cabbage had excellent wok flavor and stayed hot since they put it on a little stove. The beef appetizer came with a super large portion and was perfectly seasoned. I will definitely be back here and it is now one of my favorite Chinese spots in the bay! They have a Peking Duck dish that I did not know took an hour to prepare (they make it to order), so I will definitely be calling ahead next time! :) Awesome spot!

We heard about this place because Mikey Chen visited this place once. We got the boiled fish with Sichuan peppercorns and dan dan noodles. Very flavorful! The fish was super spicy and tender. If you are looking for something mala (spicy and numbing) to eat, the fish is delicious. You can also drink the green broth that comes with it. Glad we got to check this place out!

I had no idea that this restaurant is popular because when I walked past the place every week I assumed it caters to non Chinese or Cantonese who are usually not big on authentic Beijing food. However when I tried it for the first time with friends on the weekend I saw a decent line waiting while we were dining. Every table was occupied during lunch time. The food is definitely Beijing style as it has a lot of lamb dishes. The copper pot is kinda small compared to authentic food from Beijing and it's decent. The lamb spine was pretty good although not superb. Interestingly what blew me away was the fried prawns. It's super delicious and even the shell was fried to perfection. I think it's even better than Japanese tempura for other prawn/shrimp aficionado.

The Beijing duck’s skin was a bit oily (but surprisingly when we heat up the leftovers in the broiler it got better) as are some of their dishes. I highly recommend their spicy chicken and pan fried beef 小炒黄牛肉, but these are not really beijing regional dishes, hence the 4 star review. The sweet lotus is not soft enough. We really like their 小吊梨汤, which smells a lot like sweet red potatoes and is as sweet. Limited parking nearby.

Food: 3.5/5 Service: 3.5/5 Reservation highly recommend. They get super busy so expect servers not that attentive. Peking duck is really good but need preordering. They have large ($79) and small ($59) duck options. We ordered the large ones and it's good for 3-4 people. However maybe because the duck is too big, it's a little undercooked and some portion of the meat is still raw. Nothing really stands out other than the duck.

Came here with a reservation for 3 but was seated 10 minutes after our reservation time. They were packed here for a Wednesday night and many come here to do hotpot (will need to come back to try!) but we came to eat a traditional family-styled meal. I loved the flavors in the appetizer dish and had a kick of spice that I really enjoyed. The duck is amazing, a bit oily, but uniquely eaten with the flour-like tortillas and veggies. The fried chicken was also solid. The pork dish was a bit on the saltier end, but better eaten with rice. Soup is huge with yummy vermicelli with the rest of the duck we ordered (which you have to preorder by the way!). We took a lot of this home for another meal the next day. Service is a litttle chaotic since it’s a two or three people for the whole space, but the food is solid. Definitely want to come back to try their hotpot.

A noticeably distinct Chinese flavor profile, different from the more common Cantonese or Sichuan options encountered in SF Bay Area. Peking Duck delicately sliced, served with mu shi pancake wrappers, plum sauce, green onion and cucumber. Sugar an added option. While the skin’s delicate crispiness is noteworthy, the duck itself lacked the quintessential spiced fragrance. The salt and pepper fried bones make for a yummy close to a meal. Other unique dishes include: Rainbow Skin salad, an assortment of cold noodles and thinly sliced vegetables, mixed tableside in mustard and sesame sauce — tastefully fresh and multi-textured. Black Pepper Angus Beef with Golden Garlic, a soy sauce forward stir fry perfect for those craving flavors salty.

Authentic Chinese menu. A mix of Beijing cuisine and sichuan cuisine. The duck skin is crisp. Please just order the duck soup if you are not drinking. You have the option to have fried duck bones. It might only be a viable option if you are drinking bai jiu.

In general, most dishes taste pretty good. One negative point is the one and only restroom facility (per gender), and wait time will for sure impact the overall satisfaction on this restaurant.

Overall an ok restaurant but the Peking Duck was AWESOME. Remember to call at least an hour ahead to reserve your duck. For other dishes I was not very impressed, but I’d love to come back and try more.

Boiling Beijing - it so happened I had been here about 2 years ago and didn’t remember. Today I came back with family to celebrate a birthday. We sat down at our table by 6:15. The crowd appeared as soon as we ordered with a long line by 6:30 pm. We pre-ordered the Peking Duck ($79) which was delicious but not as good as the ones we’ve had in Beijing. Starred with the cold beef dish, a little spicy but not numbing. The lamb stew was one of the table favorites. Cube steaks, fried shrimps were also hits. Yan chow fried rice, excellent.

Been going here for quite some time now. I definitely love the duck and would recommend it. But we have been trying the other dishes as well. My recent favorite being their chicken salad. Great as a complimentary dish to anything you order, including the duck. Though it maybe too much food if it’s just the two of you. Go with friends and try out more dishes.

Singapore vibes. I don't know why but it just feels like Asia in this restaurant. Not HK. Not Macau. Yes.... Singapore. Ok. About the food. The food is good. Not amazing but good. Although the presentation is very nice. I'm not surprised at the lines to get inside this restaurant. Its a nice comfortable location. Outside can get a bit ghetto. Kind of weird to see this in San Bruno but whatever.

Duck is delicious, best Peking duck I’ve had in California. Wrappers are thin (don’t accidentally eat the paper), haw jelly for sweetness, cucumber and green onion. They also have sugar for dipping the duck skin - something I’ve only seen in Beijing. Would get the beef and sizzling lamb dish again for sure. Hand cut noodles were a little oily for my taste, would probably skip next time. Ambience could be nicer but it’s what it is.

Great and genuine and traditional Chinese food. This time we tried the kung pao and spicy beef. This is so good! Food comes out from the kitchen super fast. In general very good!

Boiling Beijing - it so happened I had been here about 2 years ago and didn’t remember. Today I came back with family to celebrate a birthday. We sat down at our table by 6:15. The crowd appeared as soon as we ordered with a long line by 6:30 pm. We pre-ordered the Peking Duck ($79) which was delicious but not as good as the ones we’ve had in Beijing. Starred with the cold beef dish, a little spicy but not numbing. The lamb stew was one of the table favorites. Cube steaks, fried shrimps were also hits. Yan chow fried rice, excellent.

Been going here for quite some time now. I definitely love the duck and would recommend it. But we have been trying the other dishes as well. My recent favorite being their chicken salad. Great as a complimentary dish to anything you order, including the duck. Though it maybe too much food if it’s just the two of you. Go with friends and try out more dishes.

Singapore vibes. I don't know why but it just feels like Asia in this restaurant. Not HK. Not Macau. Yes.... Singapore. Ok. About the food. The food is good. Not amazing but good. Although the presentation is very nice. I'm not surprised at the lines to get inside this restaurant. Its a nice comfortable location. Outside can get a bit ghetto. Kind of weird to see this in San Bruno but whatever.

Very authentic Chinese, not American Chinese. Known for Peking Duck and there's was really Peking duck not the roast duck many restaurant sell as Peking duck.

Duck is delicious, best Peking duck I’ve had in California. Wrappers are thin (don’t accidentally eat the paper), haw jelly for sweetness, cucumber and green onion. They also have sugar for dipping the duck skin - something I’ve only seen in Beijing. Would get the beef and sizzling lamb dish again for sure. Hand cut noodles were a little oily for my taste, would probably skip next time. Ambience could be nicer but it’s what it is.

I drove an hour to try their Peking Duck. Be sure to order ahead since it takes an hour to prepare. While it wasn’t bad, nothing particularly stood out. The portion size seemed small for the price, and the way they cut the duck was a bit crude with uneven slices.

Duck was ok, crispy skin but prefer the buns than pancakes; also they charge $6.95 extra to Cooke the duck bones. Also ordered the pork ribs bad bland and dry; the fish was as expected good flavor not greasy and good crunch. Order the mochi, red bean dessert but it came out the same time as the entrees, so was cold by the time had it and I had better.

I ALWAYS come here for peking duck. Birthdays, chinese new year, anniversary, you call it. I’m surprised I haven’t left reviewed yet! Being here so many times, let me be really honest: I love this for peking duck. But for other dishes, I have not yet found anything else that’s truly worth coming back. Most of the other dishes are either so bland, not great in ingredients composition, or the flavor is just off. 1. Peking duck: always amazing. Great price, great portion, great flavor, great crepes, great condiments, great EVERYTHING! Worth coming back 100%. 2. Beijing lotus root glutinous rice with osmanthus date sauce: one word: ew. We ordered this because our Chinese friend loves it, but even she said it’s not cooked correctly. It tastes weird. 3. Black pepper angus beef with garlic: it was ok, but a tad saucy and beef is tough. 4. Braised eggplant with shredded pork: this is so gross, heavily sauced but not great flavor. 5. Wonton soup: very, very bland. Meat is dry even though it’s inside a soup. 6. Walnut shrimp: the only acceptable dishes. Perfectly fried, seasoned, but walnut is still somewhat frozen. 7. Sautéed shredded pork with bean curd shin: this is ok, I like the wok hei flavor on this. But wish this has a little more flavor to it. Bland! 8. Hunan stir fried beef: this is VERY spicy it’s insane. I love spicy and can handle spicy but even this one is almost too much. Imagine for the non-asian audience. 9. Mongolian lamb: ok this is insane. We barely see the lamb, only onions. It’s more like mongolian onions!! Despite all that, I still love their specialty, will be coming back only for peking duck.

The Braised Whole Live Fish with Pancake ($47) was heavily salted and over-spiced, which completely masked the fish flavor. Another disappointment. The Beef Soup Noodle was watery and bland, with thin beef slices that fell apart instantly — not satisfying at all. The Black Pepper Angus Beef with Golden Garlic was tender and tasty, but the portion was small for $29. Overall, the food quality is decent but not worth the high prices. Portions are small, presentation is average, and the Peking Duck didn’t live up to its reputation. Summary: Some dishes taste good, but overall too costly, overrated, and not a great value.

We were told there would be a 30-minute wait for a table and that Beijing duck would take about 1.5 hours, which we were fine with. After waiting 50 minutes and finally being seated, we were told that the duck was sold out. It was really disappointing! The restaurant should have updated us while we were waiting instead of letting us waste our time.

some of the duck was... UNDER COOKED when confronted, the waitress first insisted that it's due to the use of "red vinegar" on the skin the raw portion wasn't in contact w the skin; it was from the inside of the flesh. so the chef came out, showed us two skinned ducks and insisted that the redness was NORMAL. our table had two girls from Beijing. they found this quality... unacceptable. I snapped a shot of the duck before the waitress took it away... other customers deserve to see it 🧐 other peeps from Beijing who'd like to testify? I'm from Guangdong, I genuinely don't know lol but they've lost me at the immediate "red vinegar" lie. portion was on the smaller side, too... def won't be returning to this place 🥴
