Avaliações de Barefoot Bar & Grill San Diego
Very consistent; good food, decent service and a great view. It would be nice if you offered a locals' discount because you're a little salty when it comes to price.
Went for a late breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. You can sit right on the bay / marina, and the wildlife just filters in and out around you. Saw ducks and a night heron. They got close but not uncomfortably so and didn't try to take any food or bother anyone. Great bloody mary and mimosa, good chilaquiles and breakfast burrito.
I think this is my new low-key bar. It's is kind in the $$ side but I think the live music and food/drink quality make it worth the visit.
AMAZING!!! What a Great Time and Experience! The food and beverages were amazing and my fiancé and I had a great time!!! The service was very polite and friendly and the views were SPECTACULAR!!!! They have this cool natural salt water cove with sharks and exotic fish in it for you to view after your meal!!! Go check em out!!! 👊🏼🍔🌴🤙🏼
The food was decent and the prices were a bit high for what you get, but the poor level of service is what got the most attention. It would have been better paired with a salad. I went on a Friday night, and they had live music, which was a plus.On our last week in San Diego, we decided to come to this restaurant. As this is an extremely popular place we had to wait for around twenty minutes for our table.
Great food, on the pricey side but well worth the money! The Blackened Salmon and the Poke bowl were amazing and both are big portions.
Great place to hangout and soak up the sun and scenery. Met up with some friends here late afternoon so we got to try both breakfast and lunch over the course of our 2.5 hour visit and everything was great. Highly recommend the meat and cheese board, charred Brussels sprouts, and the Cuban.
I'm unexpectedly happy that I've been back here, as usually beautiful place like this has bad, second-rate food. But not this time, this time we had a great experience, from the start to the end. Good job chef and good job Amanda! I hope to come back and still find the same treatment 🙏
Delicious food nice service and oh if u like to fish the public dock is decent for fishing for spotters spotties and stuff like dat
This is a bar/pub on Paradise Island in Mission Bay. They have a public dock available, so we took our dinghy over to their dock and tied up for free. They call it "Dock & Dine". Met up with some friends that just happened to be on Paradise Island for a wedding. The pub is super casual, most is open air under canvas shades. Overlooking the marina and water. We just had drinks and a nacho appetizer. I had a creamy coconut margarita, which was definitely good, ordered a second one. My wife ordered her typical G&T. The nachos, OMG, best I've ever had. They were on homemade fried tortilla chips, we added carne asada, plus beans, scallions, cilantro, sour cream, pica salsa, jalapenos, and covered in queso... YUMM! Our friends saw ours and ordered one for themselves too!
Beautiful view of mission bay while you dine in this restaurant hidden in the Paradise cove resort. Free parking too. I had their pork tacos, which they give you 3 huge tacos full of pork and fixings. You can't go wrong ordering them. I added some fries because I like a side to munch on whether that is chips or fries. The fries were great as well with that extra coating to make them crispy. It was very peaceful to sit by the water, watch the boats. There is shaded seating as well as seating in the sun. Sit wherever you'd like. I felt I found a hidden secret restaurant that I hadn't seen anyone talk about. Follow me for more reviews in California, Washington, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Texas, Arizona Colorado and more!
We stayed at Paradise point resort to celebrate my husband's birthday and our anniversary. We absolutely loved coming to barefoot bar and grill. I loved their burgers, great selection of beers live music, and a great view. and even the next day we returned for a really nice breakfast. The little fellow bird in the photo loves to eat meat so watch out if you order ham. Thank you everyone! staff were great and friendly.
Fabulous view for a dinner, when the waiters are happy and smiling it can't get any better unless the food is really great. And it was. The chipotle Cesar salad was the best I ever had. I can also recommend the lobster roll and the barefoot burger. Go there and enjoy a great outdoor dinner.
$$ - $$$ Worth it! Barefoot Bar and Grill is gorgeous! It is something that you actually write home about (because of the beautiful setting). Palm trees, flowers, cranes and more; the grounds are surrounded by water where diners sit at the base of a dock Marina (boat rentals) on Mission Bay; you get all of that here and of course, peace, a slice of tranquility... thank you. I dined on the spacious waterfront patio; choosing this restaurant for breakfast just to experience the grand views, the feelings of sitting on the edge of paradise in the early morning (7am) and still be in San Diego. No long jet flight, just hop on my bike and here I am after a short couple of miles from Pacific Beach. I invited a friend to join me of course. Yes, this restaurant is in Paradise Point which is a beautiful island-like resort in San Diego (near Sea World). The resort is very well maintained, almost perfect in every aspect. Surprise, surprise! The resort and this restaurant, both are somewhat a secret to many, even those living in San Diego for many long years may not know that it is there; may account for my being surprised that it wasn't busier than it was. The breakfast I had was not up to my rave about the restaurant itself; I ordered oatmeal and that may not be in their top priority for getting it right (I would rather they charge more and then, perhaps it wouldn't have been a slightly bland meal, a distraction to me). My friend was very happy with his breakfast and especially the setting. We both agreed that it would be a great place to invite friends and people we do business with. I think you will love Barefoot Bar and Grill! Very friendly well mannered staff! By: cmilton111 Google Guide 2.22.2018
Great experience! Google maps took us all over the resort and we ended up parking by the banquet hall. Finding the front entrance was an event but the walk from the parking spot to the restaurant was beautiful in the evening. Wait staff was great! Food was delicious and upscale but not over priced, the kids all loved their food. The Heron and sea life around us was the most fun. 'Harold' would check out the tables once a family walked off.... Staff would grab squirt guns and chase. Everyone was overly amused! We saw giant crabs and huge lobsters and fish swimming along side the cove. After a long day playing beach side this was a great spot to grab some sea grub!
Everytime my family stays at this resort (Paradise Point) we dine here. The view is killer. On our most recent visit, the food and service noticeably improved. In prior years, the service was slow and the food was mid at best. Now, I feel like they stepped up their game.
My wife and I have enjoyed early evening and late night walks around the Paradise Point Resort and Spa area, always walking by and through the Barefoot Bar & Grill restaurant. Today being Father's Day we decided to get a bite to eat here with our daughter (21) and it certainly was a worthwhile experience. Though we didn't eat everything on the menu we did enjoy some delectable edibles. The 5 stars are for the food, service and atmosphere, and our overall engagement, being truly worthwhile, which means; "Go For The Experience." We'll be back! Those 3 little tacos were to die for.
Angel was our server and he was a real Angel. Outstanding service and amazing experience. I didn't catch the lady who Great us at the booth but she also a 5 star lady. This place is exquisite, again outstanding service, great food, relaxing ambiance near the water. Highly recommended any days of the week.
Looooove this place! Food was great! Atmosphere was amazing! Very relaxing and beautiful to see the water as you eat! Went there for breakfast and i go the huevos rancheros! I definitely recommend that for breakfast!
barefoot Barefoot has become our go-to paddle spot. I live on the other side of Mission Beach and my boyfriend and I paddle the bay to this restaurant at least once a week. depending on the time we grab a coffee next door, or stop here for lunch or dinner. as the name says, you don't need to wear shoes to dine here, which is relevant for us since we're paddling from the bay. they have indoor and outdoor seating, but outdoor seating is where it's at. on weekends they have live music as well. they have their own self-created waterfall and little pond, with the bay in the background. you can also watch some pretty epic sunsets here. it's a very casual dining experience, with a very tropical beach vibe. I will say their food and drinks are subpar, so just want to level set expectations, don't expect anything too amazing. at this point I've tried a variety of their dishes, from their tortilla soup, to their Pokey tostados, to their pork sandwich and burger. but I will continue to go back. adorable location and tropical vibe.
Everything about this place is awesome! Great view of the bay, the food was excellent and the service was above par. We had a large group spontaneously and they did everything they could to accommodate us. Fantastic team all around!
California Dreamin’ Omelet and Huevos Rancheros paired with hot coffee made the perfect breakfast. Paradise Point’s Barefoot Bar & Grill truly hit the spot. The laid-back, island-style atmosphere was exactly what we needed—no dressing up, no rush, just good vibes. With plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, we were seated right away. The food was incredibly flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. And Amanda’s warm, attentive service made the experience even better. Definitely a must-visit if you’re looking for great food and a relaxing getaway feel.
My family and I had the pleasure of dining with JP. He immediately greeted us with a warm, bright smile, and he remembered every single part of our order perfectly without even writing it down. He checked on us and made our time here absolutely incredible. The grilled fish tacos, the BLT, and the corn soup were amazing.! 10/10!
Paradise Point's Barefoot Bar and Grill hit the spot. Breakfast stops at eleven a m, but we arrived at 10:56 a.m., and they let us order breakfast anyway. The laid-back, casual atmosphere was perfect as we didn't want to get dressed up for lunch. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and there was no wait. The southern eggs benedict with pork belly was so yummy! The pork was not too fatty or salty. The kids' pancakes we're quite large and came with strawberries, butter, and syrup. They were delicious. Even the bagels are great. Service was a little slow at the end, but it's definitely a must visit.
This place is very picturesque and as close to beach-front dining as you could possibly be. There's a private tide pool with lots of sea life to look at up close. There's a private marina where people were stopping in to have something to eat. The food was good. Definitely worth stopping by on a nice summer day.
Gorgeous location with tasty food and drinks. The menu is fairly limited and seafood heavy as you'd expect considering the location. Visited a couple times during my stay, and was pleased with the experience and food. I tried a breakfast sandwich, burger, and chicken nachos during my stay. The coconut margarita is kind of unusual, but was good and worth a try!
Go have lunch here if you are in San Diego. Period. My BLTA - avocado is the a - so good! The sweet potato fires - I think the best I ever had. The views are lovely. Very relaxing! My friend had the wings and they looked really good also. I can’t wait to go back to this place! I will get the nachos - someone at another table had it - looked amazing.

Service, food, and views were all wonderful! I would definitely one back and would recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was also kid friendly.

Food was very good. We had a 1 hour wait for a table, but the location is nice to visit shops while you wait. Don't recommend their Mai Tai.
So I had a mixed experience at this restaurant. It is part of the Paradise Point Resort in San Diego. The food was decent and our server was very good. The host looked like she didn't want to be bothered when she was around and took a while to address guests when she finally came around. This wasn't busy at the time. In fact I watched the host look at guests at the front but still stand toward back talking to another staff member while a few guests started to lone up. That's not acceptable restaurant service, I dont care if it is a resort and somewhat captive audience. This could have been a one off so dont let it make you not come. This restaurant is mostly geared to a quick meal and families. Their is a more upscale restaurant if you are looking for that.
It is what it is... This restaurant is in a resort, so expect to pay premium prices for slightly above average food. That being said, the restaurant has spectacular views and the staff is very friendly. They did accommodate the fact that I just had bariatric surgery and did not blink when I asked if I could split the meal with my partner. They went as far as to prepare two plates presented as the meal and I STILL had leftovers to take back to the room. Drinks are good and don't miss the Mango-Lime tart. Delicious!
Took a group of friends and rowed our inflatable boat to this bar from the other side of the bay. Service was fast and the drinks were good, although the drinks were a bit more expensive than standard bar pricing. Our group ordered craft beers and cocktails. All of the drinks were good but no major stand-outs. Ambience was pleasant with nice outdoor seating, waterfront views, plenty of open seating (enough to accommodate a party of 6), and a live guitarist. Overall a very nice experience. Did not try any of the food items.
Food is pretty good, not blowing my mind or anything, but pretty good and tasted fresh! I had the fish tacos and they were just a bit too greasy for my liking, but the spinach dip was really good
The atmosphere and staff are wonderful. The fare is a little pricey, but everything tasted good. I had the carnitas tacos. They were delicious, but they had too much meat. It doesn't give you a break from the rich, oily carnitas. It would have been better paired with a salad. I went on a Friday night, and they had live music, which was a plus.
I had a great cocktail and lunch afternoon at Barefoot Bar & Grill. We sat at the bar and Rafael was awesome! Every seat was filed and Rafael knew what each person was drinking and their food order. I ordered the Passionate Affair cocktail and it was amazing!!!! Sweet and fruity and perfect. That drink and Rafael's service made for a great afternoon. If I lived locally, I would come back frequently! We ordered lunch and that service was very slow. Apparently, the restaurant switched to a new menu with alot more options and the kitchen was not able to produce the dishes in a timely manner. Rafael's service still made it an awesome experience but expect to be there a while.
Such a great place to eat on the water. We were lucky to get a table with a view of the water. The only bummer was we were seated for 20 minutes before the waitress came by to take drink orders. But we got the carne asada fries, tortilla soup, and fish tacos and all of it was amazing!!
As others have mentioned, the food is just okay, nothing outstanding, and, in my opinion, quite pricey. The portion sizes are huge though. If you are staying at the resort, it's very convenient, and the view is lovely. They have few vegan options which include a hummus appetizer, a veggie wrap, and a sorbet.
Went to this place by fluke because the restaurant next door wouldn't take a walk in without reservations and I had a flight to catch in 2 hours. The bar is right on the beach with live music. You can see the fish swimming in the pool next to the beach! Food was ok, better than most bar food but not the restaurant level quality I would expect for the price--to be fair I was in a hurry and only ordered one entree so maybe their other dishes were better. I got the poke bowl, the pickled ginger is fresh unlike the pink colored stuff some sushi restaurants serve, but the rice seemed under cooked and hard. Bartender was very friendly and I only waited a few minutes to get served. I would go back again as a cool bar atmosphere to catch up with friends or for a date (you can see the sunset!) but wouldn't make it a destination purely for the food.
Very okay place. Convenience makes it better than the food would otherwise be. It’s on resort, beachside, with a lot of open air tables. Easy menu, something for everyone, and a good selection of draft beers and cocktails. Everything was good, nothing was great. Service was chill at the bar - arguably too chill. It was actually a fair bit slow. But sitting near the lagoon and getting some sun made the experience a little more enjoyable. We only ate here once on our 3 day stay. If we came back to the resort, we’d probably prioritize off-site meals. San Diego has excellent food and this was a bit subpar.
Barefoot Bar is one of the few venues in SD where you can pull up watercraft and tie off to dine and relax. You can rent watercraft there on the docks, sailboats, Duffy boats, motor boats, I believe SUP, and Kayak as well. (On the dock, not at Barefoot). We pulled up on a waverunner at 1230 on Sunday to a 1.5-hour wait for a table. Bar is open seating and had a screen. We got a table there in 30 min. Staff is friendly and efficient. The food was okay, at least what I tasted, a buyer and the SOAR fried Cali rolls... too greasy and seemed grease needed changing. It's a great atmosphere, with a waterfall and fish pond, and water views. I wish they would bring back the live music! Hint hint. ; ]
Located on paradise point, the only restaurant to eat at and it's actually pretty good. Portions are huge, I ordered off the kids menu as they wouldn't do half orders. But $5 for a tea is pretty ridiculous. They make all their salsa in house and the huevos rancheros were some of the best I have ever had. It's nice to sit outside but watch out for the birds, they can sneak up on you and can be rather aggressive.

Date of visit: 3/26/17 My mom and I opted to stop by here after our massages at Paradise Point spa. This is your typical resort bar with typical resort prices, so don't expect to get a great deal here. However, you are paying for a really nice view of Mission Bay while you eat. Since it is a resort, you will have a lot of families with kids dining here as well, but we were lucky and didn't have any screaming kids, which made our short visit nicer. Since we decided that we were going to grab dinner somewhere else, we opted to share the Honey Ginger Shrimp appetizer and margarita. As I mentioned before, the prices here are pretty steep, so for $16 we got 4 shrimp. They were a decent size though, so I guess that made up for the price, but I was still baffled at $4 per shrimp. The dish itself was definitely decent and well balanced. To offset the greasiness of the fried shrimp, they were served on top of a mango/cabbage salad. The margarita was just okay - I think it was about $10, but I can get a $3 margarita at one of my favorite happy hour spots, which tastes way better, so I was a little disappointed by the drink. Overall, Barefoot Bar & Grill is an okay place to go if you're a Paradise Point and need something to eat. They had a nice selection of hamburgers and sandwiches that looked good and the drinks were decent. Just be prepared to pay resort prices (since you are in a resort).
Located on Paradise Point Resort & Spa property, this restaurant offers a variety of bar Foods some restaurant options, and a small bar. The service is why they get 3 stars. This restaurant is located on a resort and the rest of the service in the resort was amazing except for here at the Barefoot Bar and Grill. They need more attention to detail with the customers. Cool bar atmosphere with stunning views of the marina.
It's a bar and grill onto he bay in San Diego. Smells of low tide from the stagnant pools of fish they keep around the outdoor seating. Service is staffed by very young people who may or may mot care, it was hard to tell. Bartender was loudly singing and kind of seemed drunk. Had to wait 15 minutes for a table even though there were visibly many empty ones. Food was okay. I had Ceasar salad with salmon. Lettuce was on its last few minutes of any claim to crispy although the salmon was fresh and well prepared. Water served in glasses and plastic straws with half the paper wrapper torn off - why? View is great. 4 of us and the bill was $140, clearly the view is not free because it was not a $140 meal. Mostly outdoor seating but with gas infrared heaters. Cold metal chairs with the same for the table.
The only place where one can dine in the resort. Price is pretty steep but proportional with the portion. Ahi poke nacho is good. Beyond meat burger tastes average, I guess all plant based meats taste horrible. Nothing special about the oatmeal for breakfast. California dream omelette is good and recommended. The only down side is how many times one can dine in the same place when you are staying with the resort.
Barefoot is a little spot on the water inside the Paradise Point resort that has a good sized menu with great views. Service is pretty good here, but prices are high for their portion sizes and the taste/quality just isn't there like you'd expect it. They are open a good amount of the time as well. Check out the fish inside the little pool area while you are there.
Great atmosphere next to the laguna, with a big pond with different fish, including stingray and halibut. Food is normal, but service is slow. They also charged me $5 to split my kids $12 meal. I asked what the charge was for, and they said splitting fee. I was better off ordering 2 meals for the kids or if they had told me they charge, I would have asked for a plate and split it myself. I was very upset after that move. Fish is tasteless and when you order alcohols 3/4 is ice.
Nice that it is on-site at resort however food choices were limited. Needs a few more down to earth food choices like pizza, dry wings, mozzarella sticks.. you know..comfort food. Service was great and breakfast is excellent but pricey.
Best aspect of the restaurant was the location. Food was OK. Cuban sandwich was huge but not memorable. Fish tacos were soggy. Much better food elsewhere in San Diego. Staff was overworked and insufficient number for a holiday lunch service. Not likely to return to be disappointed again. At least parking was free.
Review would have been a 4 or 5 if server had come and checked on us more to see if we needed refills on our drinks or chips if there even were refills on chips. Sodas are way over priced at $5 each and small basket of chips and salsa was $10. Food is over priced. Staff was nice and friendly and atmosphere was nice as well
Hadn't been here in decades so we thought we try it on Fathers Day. Friendly staff. Beautiful setting. Free parking. Those were the perks. The food wasn't anything special and the prices were outrageous. $22 for 3 fish tacos. 🙄. Whatever...it's tourist pricing I'm sure but they honestly had little flavor. The elote was likely canned corn they doctored up ..starchy and gross. The side salad was probably the best thing about the meal. $150 for 3 plates of tacos, kids bean and cheese, elote and 3 drinks. 2 sodas (at $5 a piece). The $16 margarita in a rocks glass and lasted about 5 sips. Call me old fashioned but I like value and unfortunately the scenery and experience don't outweigh how i felt walking away...not satisfied and money not well spent.
This is a very nice place with a great view of the bay. The service is OK and the food is OK. If you want to relax viewing the ocean and a small lagoon, while having breakfast, this is a good option
Beautiful setting, but that’s where the positives end. Service is consistently slow, the food is bland and forgettable, and the prices are absurd. With a name like Barefoot Bar & Grill, you’d expect the bar to be a highlight, but it’s tiny and underwhelming. San Diego deserves better waterfront dining.
Server was curt /rude / barely responsive. Drinks went empty without refill. Order the overpriced $25 Burger with cheddar cheese cooked medium. Burger came out with rubbery cheddar cheese fried on top. The burger had no flavor and it was well done. Dry and crumbly. Server was nowhere around. In waiting for her to appear for the grand finale aka the check the burger had gone cold. Too late to correct. Go to In-N-Out it's cheaper faster and better with friendly staff. Paid cash, the server did not bring the correct change back and kept $0.74. Not a big deal but it's the point. Based on the whole experience they were lucky to receive that as a tip.
I’m from out of state and been here multiple times. This last time (9-26-25) I took my wife for her birthday around 8pm. They close at 10pm. We had a server named Jennifer. Since the moment we sat down Jennifer gave off a vibe that she was annoyed that we were there and didn’t have time for us. She was annoyed we added ice teas to our water order first of all. Then we got our food and still didn’t have silver ware. We asked for silverware and someone (another server tall white guy with longer hair) said we don’t have any and was also annoyed we asked. Right after we got the food Jennifer tried to rush us asking about dessert and bring us our check. My wife and I just started eating. We were well over it by then. With our plates still full the check was on the table and Jennifer came asking if I needed change while I had a mouthful of tea. Not even allowing me to finish swallowing my drink. We felt VERY rushed since we sat down and it ruined my wife’s birthday dinner. Mind you at was 2 hours till close. We will never be back as long as Jennifer is there.
Tuesday afternoon-Our group, over 8 of us came for lunch. After waiting to be seated, we sat ourselves. Needing 3 tables to be pushed together, we seniors were left to do it ourselves, all help di…
Came for lunch and a drink at 3:45 on a Saturday afternoon, it was somewhat busy, but lots of tables available. Was sat by the hostess, waited 15min for a server to by to greet me/take my drink order. Nothing, not acknowledged at all in the course of FIFTEEN MINUTES. Handed the hostess back the menu and she thanked me, lol - what a joke. There are better places to spend your money, with people that actually want your business. Did note they add a 6% surcharge to EVERY bill and 20% for parties over 6 people. Did see a blue heron, which was nice.
Dock'master' saw we dropped sunglasses over board. He came over seemingly to offer help to retrieve them. He then asked the make and brand and walked away. We thought it was shady of him to do so so we asked him if he had goggles for us to search them, or what his plan was. He replied "oh I'm keeping them if I find them after work, but your sunglasses aren't worth the time." Needless to say he deserves to be tossed overboard for such an insulting remark. No one asked for his help. He just came over to see what he could steal after we were gone. What's funny is he could've got a handsome tip for simply handing us goggles but instead he's stuck in a low level job at a restaurant dock in Sail Bay. Don't be that dumb!
While finishing up or dinner, a RODENT 🐁 came very close to our table, also to another occupied table, there were just then and us, almost closing time, the all for their bill, we did the same, my wife and kids just left, while waiting, for the check, RODENT was eating around food that was there in the floor, I totally understand how frustrating this can be as a owner of this huge resort, millions of dollars spent on cleaning, maintenance and per control, and still on RODENT messing up your complete image, unfortunately that's life., waiter just said, oh they come from the Ocean, :)) our kitchen is clean I can assure you that... really I said in disbelief.. That was a negative experience, that ruin our dinner and our vacation, IDK what to say but it's very unfortunate to the owners/operator of this establishment
The food is overpriced and awful. I had the mahi sandwich and soup. The sandwich and soup was very bland. The atmosphere was good, I really enjoyed looking at the water and birds. My waitress accidentally charged me $148 for my $27 sandwich and soup. Is she crazy thinking a sandwich cost $148?! She didn't even apologize. Will not return.
Absolutely terrible service in “2026” February 9! Today I walked to eat here and was told I could not eat here alone and had to wait 15minutes. I visibly saw 15 open tables and was told I could not sit and still had to wait. The service here is like being back in the 80’s. They do not care about providing elite service here at all. It also helps that there is no where else to eat on the resort property so you have no choice which is why they Treat people to bad.
