Burros & Fries

Prices are very low, but with a typical socal Mexican quality that cant be beat. I was initially surprised I couldn't get a water cup (just a temporary inconvenience), but led me to find out they have modelitos for 1.08?? I got two and a water bottle and definitely left a happy customer

They are so friendly here. I work nearby so I know a good amount of the employees by name and they are just the sweetest most helpful people. The food is bomb and I come at least once a week. 100% worth a visit

I just had the best Carne Asada Chips fully loaded. The meat was juicy and tender, refried beans were perfect, the cheese finely shredded and on top and melted below the fresh pico, guacamole, sour cream and lettuce. Sooo good while watching the NFL Playoffs.

I love this place! My go-to items are the Chipotle Chicken and Diablo Shrimp burritos. Their food is great and affordable, and they have deals pretty much every day, which I really want to try. Also, their salsa roja is excellent

Pros: Awesome ! Great taste, large portion sizes, perfect texture and consistency, clean, organized, nice staff, clean restrooms, adoc modern decoration. Cons: Only compact cars parking spots, no shades for outside tables.

Love this location. The quality and flavors are really good. Plus the quantity is always consistent whereas other locations have not been in my experience. That's why I prefer this over the rest

The name speaks for itself really. I've already been twice and was stoked both times. First was a steak and shrimp surf and turf cali B. 'Twas dope. Second was fries with both carne and adobada. Also great. I'll be back. They got guacasalsa in the back!

Like many other places, consistency isn't always met. Staff is great and usually friendly. Sometimes they're so busy with orders the friendliness isn't always met but I get it, lunch rush hour can get hectic

It's a good place. Sometimes it takes long to get the food (20 mins) which is a lot for a Mexican restaurant. I'd recommend it to anyone wants to eat around here. I usually take a Cali burrito, it's my fav. Their giant burrito is good too. Restaurant is always clean, customer service is good. Long lines could occur dying the lunch time. Call ahead if you are in a hurry.

Stumbled upon this place while family was at Kaiser. Carney asada fries were awesome, service was friendly and the place was well kept and clean!! Street tacos were fresh and the quesadilla was really good and pretty big. I was definitely pleasantly surprised.

One of our favs. We're the about twice a month. The wifey and kiddo love it. Only thing wrong with the place is that they sell Pepsi instead of Coke. Blah. Great portions for the money. The new bowls are also really good. Yeah they have the man coke bottles, but One star off until they go back.

We went on a hot day and this place had no AC and one door they kept open to let in air but there wasn't any. The prices are expensive and although the food is good not worth it for the portion size. Cashier was friendly and attentive to customers. They have Mexican Coke near $4.

I first went here in 2022 and 2024 when I ordered the chili verde plate which I thought was vegetarian. It definitely tasted a lot like the salsa because the whole plate is literally salsa. I usually get two sides of beans because I do not do rice. Tortillas could use improvement here because they fall apart easily. They are similar to Guerrero and Mission in that they do not hold up too much. The second time that I went I bought a veggie burrito and ended up not eating the rice or the lettuce. Honestly, I do not eat iceberg lettuce which is common in Mexican food. I am more of a fan of Romaine lettuce. That is where I noticed that the wheat tortilla was too dry and weak to stand up to the burrito filling. It would have fallen apart if I ate it whole. Customer service was really decent, and the female was vibing with me. I would give it another try because of the fact that they have wheat tortillas which is unusual at a Mexican spot. I would recommend trying it at least once.

Foods awesome but PLEASE stop begging for TIPS. I’ve paid $13 for a burrito which is overpriced but I like your seasoning enough to spoil myself once in a while but when you ask for tip toward the end of the transaction, everything becomes numb! America is prob the only country that feels entitled to tipping. I’m done spoiling this madness

Edit: went down a star. They have good food but they don't bother picking up the phone if you call 15 before closing. I know it's close to closing time (I worked retail before - I know the vibe as it's close to closing) but just a few rolled tacos would be done and I'd be there before they actually locked the doors. Heck, pick up the phone and tell me you're closing and the grills are off or ask what my order is to see if it'll be too large. If you aren't going to actually take customers then mark your hours accordingly. Just some common courtesy.

I eat here a lot because I work close and it’s usually fine. this time I had ordered a steak bowl and it was basically steak and lettuce nothing more. I found grains of rice but that was it.

I believe that one key fact about customer service is to make you feel good to the place you're attending. I stopped by to pick up some burritos for me and some co-workers we're working on the airshow but the guy taking the orders should smile sometimes, making feel the customer like they are actually welcome here, will think about it twice before coming back. But food was great.

First off I want to say that my review is not a reflection on the employees, but rather management/owners. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken fries and was utterly disappointed. There was an acceptable amount of chicken, but compared to the fries everything else fell short. There was barely any cheese, chipotle sauce, or guac. For a ticket that's north of $20 I expect more than just a drizzle's worth of toppings just to tick a box. If you're looking for Mexican food in San Diego you can do better at nearly any hole in the wall spot.

Ordered from the relatively uninterested cashier, which was fine. Went to sit down, and later they called out my order at the counter. I’m currently disabled and there was no way I could pick the item up. Cashier just stared at me then left it there. There were no customers waiting for them to tend to. Another customer helped me. Another issue are the tiny fruit flies everywhere. Last is the mind boggling music noise level coming from the kitchen mixed with the music playing over the system. Food was just okay but definitely much better spots literally a stones throw away. Should have known this would have been bad when I saw they serve pepsi. I’m telling everyone to avoid this place.

Not to mention the meat seemed old too. I’m also disappointed in the customer service. When I called to complain the young mad who answered was rude, did not tell me he was going to have me speak to someone else and the woman who answered said “Yes?” In a very rude voice. I don’t think that this is acceptable. I wasted my time and money coming here.

I even went as far as pulling the empty soda bottle out of the trash just to prove it, and he still tried to charge me for a drink just because my daughter had ice in her cup. It was humiliating and uncomfortable, especially in front of other customers. I don’t know if it was racial profiling or just poor customer service, but either way — that experience ruined it for me. The carne asada fries were maybe a 5/10 at best. Definitely not worth the attitude or the energy. 👎🏽 I truly hope this establishment has cameras so management can review the footage from 10/12/25 around 2:30 PM and hold that cashier accountable for accusing my 7-year-old daughter of stealing.
