Was craving Mexican food, saw this place had 5 stars, and have to agree! Really delicious, and it was quick and super hot. Ordered rolled tacos, chicken and mushroom quesadilla, and horchata. The horchata was super delicious, had strong vanilla notes and was very creamy. The chicken in the quesadilla was flavored really well and overall really tasty. The rolled tacos were clearly made in house, perfect crunch and flavor. If you play Pokemon Go there are also 4 pokestops you can spin from this place. Friendly staff too, really clean inside. Will come again!

Delicious food with big portion size! Also very affordable. They even put the sauces on the side so food wouldn’t get soggy :)

Food is fire. Prices are fair. I love their guacamole salsa. Potato tacos are so good! I've also had their shrimp (camarones empanisados) that come with a side of rice and beans, very good. The fish tacos are also a great choice. They have specials for different days of the week. The staff is friendly and attentive. Location is good with parking space you can go in through either side of the block.

Very well seasoned, cooked and presented. Also, very fresh ! Definitely saving this Taco Shop to my Google maps favorites 😍

Small shop located in city heights but solid food and hardworking folks. Lived in the neighborhood for years but hadn’t stepped in till now, definitely one of my new spots for a rolled taco craving :)

First time eating here and my first ever review, walking distance from where I live. Had a grilled chicken and San Felipe fries and it was amazing. I would make this my go-to Mexican stop for my cheat meal.

The shredded beef and chicken tacos are pretty good! The red salsa is also quite tasty. The indoor seating is limited, but that’s just the nature of some University Ave storefronts. I’ve always liked the Castanedas in Chula Vista, and this is a good satellite. Recommend the hard-shell tacos!

I had a carne asada burrito, I felt the meat was lacking flavor and I was not so crazy about the hot sauces they offered. I will go back and try a different dish. I can't really rule them out yet.

Drove around for 15 minutes looking for parking only to find out they aren't open at 8am despite it saying they are. No posted hours either. That's the second taco shop like this. Unacceptable
