Quick bite to eat for breakfast and the hot sauce (orange) that comes with it is Devine. The Steak & egg burrito filled me up plenty and it can even feed two people.

A classic Mexican spot in Clairemont with a wide selection of items. The supreme (veggie), bean & cheese, chile relleno, and California burritos are pretty good. The salsas are quite good as well. The only thing is sometimes they almost make their food too fast, and the cheese doesn’t have time to melt. You can end up with a burrito that has hot meat with cold lettuce, cheese, tomato, etc.

My experience at cotixan was alright. It definitely wasn't great nor was it horrible. To start, the establishment seemed clean and there was limited seating available on their large and breezy patio as well as a few seats inside. The guy who helped me was neither warm nor cold, but robotic and precise. A man of (very) few words. No complaints tbh, but a warm and friendly welcome should be the standard. I ordered 5 rolled tacos with guacamole and this is where it gets iffy. While the taquito itself was crisp and tasted of beef, the guacamole was very bland and watery. It didn't give me rich and creamy avocado vibes in the least and the hotsauce was very lackluster. Lacking flavor and heat. The hot sauce portion was incredibly small and required one whole plastic serving per rolled taco and it did not even taste like much. I'm giving this place 3 stars. It looks like their burrito menu is poppin but we never got there. I don't know that we will either.

Ordered through uber: chilaquiles and chorizo burrito. They made migas and the burrito was dripping in grease. I understand chorizo is greasy but this was inedible. We threw the food out. Along with my money 😩

I went to this taco shop to buy a taco but is full of oil and it tasted like that OIL The 2 ladies are always angry or they are sarcastic maybe, but their attitude is bad, the food is not that great and just check the pictures the taco very simple just guacamole and meat thats it not onion not cilantro no lime not salt and expensive plus all cover on oil disgusting and if you try to let them know this they change you the taco but with a horrible attitute like if they are doing a favor to you even when thanks to the customers they have a bussiness

Wonderful and nice people, great atmosphere and plentiful parking. However, the food is not that good and the price is high, which are the most important parts about eating out. Therefore, I don't recommend coming to this restaurant at all. The meat is overcooked and they use way too much sour cream.

Last night at around 8:30 was the first and last time I will ever go to this restaurant. It wasn't even so much that the food I ordered was meh, the service was worse. I ordered an egg and cheese burrito via doordash and went to pick it up. According to the description on the menu, the burrito should have included beans. I picked it up, bit into it, and no beans. I took it back inside and asked where the beans were. I was told rather rudely that it's an egg and cheese burrito. It doesn't come with beans. I showed her the screen from the online menu and asked, "So why does the menu say it does?" She just shrugged and said, " I don't know." She didn't offer to fix it for me or anything. Also, they use American cheese!? What the heck! Basically it was a bland omelette on a tortilla with a side of couldn't care less. Not going back.

All I can say is that these are the worst carne asada fries I've had in my life. Not meat (carne) doesn't even taste good at all. Something is wrong with how it's seasoned. I would much rather drive down south to Los panchos in National City or Humberto's on 43rd. I don't mind paying 18 $ for carne asada fries but something bomb not nasty. Terrible food! We came here because of the high star rating. While the employees seemed friendly, the food we received was bland and downright gross! My rolled tacos had absolutely no taste, the guacamole was like flavorless mashed potatoes, and the "salsa" was some watered down version of something I can't describe. My fiance's shrimp burrito tasted like frozen shrimp....who puts peas in a shrimp burrito!? Gigatic random chunks of not very ripe tomato....and to top it off - they gave us warm drinks! And acted as though providing us with extra ice was not a part of their job description and a nuisance! And it wasn't even enough ice to make our drinks cold! Shaking our heads at the misleading and far from accurate reviews! Neither of us even ate half our food and we spent 25$! During a pandemic 25$ could be your last meal for the week! They need to focus more on food quality and customer service instead of cool graphics for advertising!
