Pizza Nova is amazing! I have been going there for years now! The one thing that I enjoy most is their garlic rolls they serve before getting your food! And you can ask them to keep bringing the rolls, it’s not a one time thing. It’s amazing! And the food is really good too! It’s right next to the harbor, so during lunch, you get a great view! The prices are great! The staff are super friendly and the restaurant is always well maintained! Hands down the best place to get some amazing food in San Diego! Especially their pizza! I will always be a customer and will go every time I am down in San Diego!
One of our favorite restaurants in SanDiego Down town . If your in the mood for water front dining and you you like Italian pizza or Pasta , I highly recommend pizza nova. Pizza nova is located on the SanDiego marina just off harbor drive in Point Loma . The atmosphere is great, the views are spectacular and the prices are very fair .
We ordered: Bbq chicken Pizza Margherita Pizza Rolls were complimentary Iced Tea Lime Mint Soda Service and food was quick! Wish the rolls had some pizza sauce to dip into 😋 MP was not the pizza I was expecting but it was still delicious BBQCP was the perfect amount of sauce and toppings Great view and good sized parking lot!
Our Server Carly was awesome! Super friendly and definitely kept making sure we were ok. Showed us how to receive a discount through the Thanx app, and we got a free appetizer! The food was great, loved the Pizza Nova Pizza. Fresh Salmon, and portions are generous. Love the view from the booth, all in all great place to come eat if you're visiting.
First time eating here. The comp garlic rolls are amazing. The wings are good, served hot and fresh. The Buffalo cauliflower is delicious. My pepperoni white pizza was perfect. The crust was perfectly wood fired. The carne asada pizza was so unique in Flavor, very rich. The host was friendly and welcoming. Our server was prompt to take our orders. Not the most attentive but definitely friendly and accommodating when asked for something.
Back after visiting a year ago and they are still doing amazing. The Lobster Bisque was PHENOMENAL. The garlic knots are always hot and fresh. So delicious. Pizza was as good as the first time which was amazing. Crisp greens in the salad. And the tiramisu was freshly made. One of my favorite spots in Point Loma.
Pizza Nova is a great spot for lunch when in the area. The pizza here is very good and I tried two different types while in the area. Sadly I did not get a picture of the small pizza that was good for lunch and breakfast. Went back and ate in the restaurant with the lunch special where I had a salad and small personal pizza. It also came with garlic bread that is very good. Pizza was cooked well and had a good amount of toppings and the salad was well mixed and tasted very good. Service is good and be aware of busy times as they can get backed up at times. We had a longer than normal wait to get our food the first time to go due to higher than normal demand which got my coworker the wrong pizza that they fixed after talking to them.
The pizza was absolutely amazing and not overwhelmingly crust engorged. The fish on top was perfectly cooked & the calamari was crispy, fresh and seasoned well. The bread was soft and warm. The staff was extremely friendly. There was plenty of parking and the price was very affordable. Plus the views, it overlooks the harbor. Recommend it!
Pizza Nova have great delicious salads and the pizza is also awesome! We were only in San Diego for 2 days and we ate here twice. We're both ' prescatarian' and salad lovers therefore they have the best salad options. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for some light healthy food. Oh let's not skip out on the dogs. It's really a dog friendly place you will see dogs every time that you go and they actually have a dog menu.
Got it! Let’s blend that original flair with a touch more polish and Google Maps readiness. Here’s your elevated, classy-local-favorite version—ideal for standing out in reviews while still being helpful: Pizza Nova – A San Diego Staple This local favorite hits all the right notes—crispy, wood-fired crusts, fresh gourmet toppings, and a marina view that makes any meal feel like a mini vacation. Whether you’re craving a classic margherita or something bolder like prosciutto with arugula, the flavors are thoughtful and beautifully balanced. The Nova Salad is a standout, and yes, it is big enough to share—if you’re feeling generous. Service is consistently friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere is relaxed, coastal, and perfect for everything from a casual lunch to a low-key date night. Free parking is available in the lot out front, and you can usually find a spot—especially if you’re coming early evening or midweek. Pro tip: sit outside if you can. Watching the boats glide by while sipping sangria or a craft beer with pizza fresh from the oven? Pure San Diego magic.
One of the best pizzas I have ever had! I stayed at a hotel near this restaurant and ordered my pizza to-go. The place is very nice, with indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered a vegetarian pizza. It was so delicious and the crust was perfect. I even got a surprise side of garlic rolls! I will definitely come back next time I'm in Point Loma. (Photos of the pretty flowers and water feature in the outdoor seating area overlooking the harbor)
Love, love, love the garlic bread! Hot and fresh! The service was excellent. The menu has a good variety for anyone's tastes. The name Pizza Nova does not do it justice. We did not have to wait long for our meal and drink refills appeared without having to ask. I've always been pleased whenever I have eaten here. I'm lactose intolerant, and the wait staff/chief has never messed this up! And I love the view of the marina!
We were in San Diego one weekend with our 2 girl dogs and looking for a dog-friendly restaurant to have dinner at. Pizza Nova was walking distance from our hotel so we decided to take a chance on it. I’m glad we did, as their food is really good. The pepperoni white pizza was outstanding and the lasagna was so good that we took leftovers home and ate it for breakfast the next day. The calamari was also good; the sauces were both really good, I couldn’t decide which one I liked more. The hostess wasn’t very friendly, but our server definitely was. It was a very busy Saturday night when we dined here, so I appreciated the fact that our server still provided us with great service. One thing I want to point out is that they no longer have a dedicated doggy menu, but they were happy to make plain meatballs without the marinara sauce for our pups to share. Another positive thing is the location is amazing, as sitting outside gave us a nice view of the marina. I wish I lived in San Diego.
Great food, great location, great service! My first time in San Diego and my aunt chooses this place to take me. Was definitely not disappointed! Your Caesar salad dressing was delicious, your garlic rolls were amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better personal pizza! Lunch specials are great and your restrooms were shiny clean!
While on vacation in San Diego, I was looking for a good lunch spot, and this place was perfectly located right on the harbor. Not only did we get a beautiful view of all the boats, but it was also conveniently close to many of the local hotels. Their lunch specials are just $16 and include a fresh salad plus your choice of pizza or pasta, with plenty of combinations to choose from. I went with their sausage and mushroom pizza paired with a Caesar salad, and it was absolutely delicious. Every meal comes with their amazing garlic knots, which were warm, buttery, and downright addictive. Our sweet waitress even brought my son a free chocolate milk, which completely made his day. There’s plenty of free parking in their lot, just be sure to look for the signs that say “Pizza Nova 2-hour parking.” All in all, it was a perfect little lunch with great food, friendly service, and a view you can’t beat.
Waiter was wonderful! Food was delicious! Ate there with three of my friends. They brought the best buttery, savory rolls to the table. We ordered four different salads and each of us raved at how tasty they were. Best House Salad (named well) ~ Classic Caesar ~ Greek ~ Chipotle Lime!
We went back during happy hours 3pm to 5pm. We had a bottle of champagne to go with the delicious soft calamari with their special dressing and the Italian meat pizza. Plenty of food. Great tasting and the wonderful view of the boats at the harbor. We were very satisfied with dining here! We enjoyed our last night here having dinner at Pizza Nova. We had the champagne and Italian meat pizza again. We just walked across to Best Western Yacht Harbor with no traffic to stop us. Great place for great food! A great place to eat. The view of the yacht harbor was a plus. We had a bottle of Champagne to celebrate our vacation together. It was a great price and tasted good, too! The Italian meat pizza was wonderful. It had plenty of different quality meats plus it had bacon on it too. The house salad was tasty with how they put the ingredients together. It was worth getting. The other items on the menu were looking good. They were busy and people were enjoying themselves!
Great place for a one on one lunch date. We sat inside, but had a terrific view of the marina just outside, and everything was very clean. We stopped here while in the area and found that while that atmosphere is classy and upscale, the prices are very affordable. Make sure to get the house rolls as fast as you can because they’re delicious. The aptly named ‘best salad’ was incredible, and both of our pizzas were delicious and cooked well with a delicious crust. We definitely look forward to returning again when we’re in the area to try some more of the delicious options they have. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and it was an overall great experience.
Outstanding. Great views, great food! As everyone else has said the garlic knots are the best. It was good visiting at lunch on a weekday for a quieter dining experience. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend a visit to Pizza Nova if you are in the area!
my husband and i come to pizza nova pretty frequently and we love it. the pizza/pasta and salad lunch option is our favorite and such a great deal! beautiful views of the marina as well. service is typically pretty good. however last time i came here, i ordered the spicy chicken wrap and substituted iceberg lettuce instead of the wrap to make a lettuce wrap. it states that you can do this on the menu so i did and when it came out, it came out as a deconstructed salad. it was impossible for me to try and make a wrap out of it so i ate it as a salad which was not ideal. it came out with the sauce in a ramekin, the chicken and cheese in a bowl, and a wedge of iceberg lettuce on the side. it was extremely disappointing because i had just eaten a wedge salad the day before this and didn’t sign up for all that work this time. the spicy chicken wrap is so yummy; i just think that it should be specified on the menu that it does NOT come as a lettuce wrap.
I went here for a party. I thought all the food was delicious but the best house salad was amazing! I am going to try to make something similar because I live in Texas so I can’t go back often. The party room upstairs is awesome!
Pizza Nova is definitely one of a handful of our go-to spots that we know will never disappoint! We've been to this location more times than we can count, taking family and friends after going boating in the San Diego bay and have hosted events here. Always great food, fantastic service, and always feel appreciated as a customer! Highly recommend the roasted garlic and rustic salad with whatever pizza you have!
We like to go mostly at lunch for their mini pizza and salad deal. I'm not even a pizza fan, but thiers are pretty dang good! It's got a great view and it's a nice place to take people who've just flown in or are flying out of San Diego. We've never had a bad meal there and the staff are top notch. Highly recommend.
Pizza Nova's Best Salad is the best. The Southwestern Corn Chowder is delicious. All pizza choices are the right one. We go as a group of 8 to 12 twice a month. The service has always been exceptional. Thank you.
Pizza Nova has a permanent spot on my restaurant rotation for San Diego. The menu never fails to deliver tasty and consistent meals at an incredible value. Furthermore, the staff (Madison and Max) are the absolute best servers (possibly of the industry as a whole). See you again soon!
We were in San Diego 2 years ago for a Marine graduation & discovered this gem across from our hotel. Stayed 2 nights & ate here 4 times. Wonderful food...simply delicious. Pleasant staff & nice atmosphere. My youngest grandson was 8 at the time & still talks about the food at this restaurant. It really was some of the best & prices were good. We can't wait to eat here again in a few months when we're back for another Marine graduation.
Bello lugar. Excelente carta!

Our family loves this place! Great views on the harbor combined with fresh pizzas, salads or delicious main dishes. This restaurant is one of the last affordable options for families in San Diego! The staff is always courteous and you get seated immediately. Very satisfying!
Madison was a great server! She was personable and friendly. We had great pizza and enjoyed the All Day Monday Happy Hour! Really enjoyed the heaters and fire on the patio. The pizza was just what we wanted. Thanks Madison for helping us have a great last night on our visit to San Diego!

Pizza Nova's location, surrounding view, and setting inside are big pluses. The food is good, but so far my orders have been hit-and-miss. Their complimentary bread is a bit too hard for my taste, and the Thai chicken pizza is good but sounds like a better idea than I think it proves to be -- even as someone who loves Thai food. However, their crust is good, and the salad with pear slices, feta cheese, dried cranberries, and pecans is delicious. I will go back to Pizza Nova sometime and enjoy it again I am sure, but usually I don't have so much trouble ordering what I will like best at a restaurant.
Pizza Nova in Point Loma is my go-to spot for lunch — they have a great lunch special, and their pizza is always fresh, flavorful, and made with unique toppings that stand out. I especially enjoy the smoked salmon with arugula pizza (so unique!) and the feta cheese pizza. Their pasta is also very good — the Bolognese is my favorite. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the harbor, which makes it a really nice option for a casual meal with a view. The atmosphere is clean, pleasant, and relaxed. The only downside is that the lunch special doesn’t include a gluten-free option, so I had to pay extra for the gluten-free crust. It would be nice if they worked something out for gluten-free customers to make it a bit more budget-friendly. On our last visit, our server also mixed up a pasta order, and I was surprised it still showed up on the bill — I didn’t feel like arguing at the time, but it was a little disappointing. That said, I keep coming back because the food is consistently good, the pizza is excellent, and the views are hard to beat. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.
This place is great. Known about it forever just hadn’t tried it. The staff is super friendly. Parking sucks but that’s not their fault. So you need to be patient in parking. We had the Mediterranean pizza, caprece appetizer, and the garlic knots. Everything was great. One amazing thing is that you can take your time and the crust doesn’t get soggy. This was surprising as it’s rare. Strongly recommend Pizza Nova! Oh and the view is amazing.
Good food and warm atmosphere. We've been here a few times and the food is always good. We stopped here after celebrating my wife's birthday on the harbor. The garlic bread is bomb! We started with a Caeser salad & had the meatball appetizer. The meatballs were delicious. I had the fish & chips, my wife had the Bolognese & our son had BBQ chicken pizza. We've tried some of their other specialty pizzas and they've always been good. The gorgonzola pear is great! They included a free sundae desert for the B-day girl and we shared a Tiramisu. Prices are reslasonable.Overall, this is a nice spot for some unique pizzas and good vibes.
Food was good but not great. All the toppings seemed to be in the middle. Not a lot of seasonings or sauce. The server was great. She was gone for a bit because she is the only Spanish speaking server and helped another table. But she was great. The atmosphere was nice. For the San Diego area I would say fair value. I would go back.
Recommend getting reservations. Especially for larger parties. The pizzas are good. The salads are popular. I enjoyed the minestrone soup. The fish and chips were a little disappointing. The coleslaw was just shredded cabbage...plain...dry...no sauce of any kind and the tarter sauce was missing. The rolls were popular and the craft beers too!
Nice menu. 3 of us shared the chopped salad and 2 10” pizzas. They bring garlic knots as a starter these were good but a little dense and chewy. The salad and pizzas were good. Service was a little slow. There was one guy serving a lot of tables. Still not bad. We sat outside with a great water view. Price was reasonable. I would return.
Excelente Cerveza artesanal, y la comida 10 puntos
Buena la comida y excelente vista a la marina
buen lga agradable.bena atención
El lugar muy acogedor
Buen lugar u servicio
Excelente
Muy bueno!!
Service was decent, but the pizza left a bit to be desired. It was pretty greasy, and didn't have much crunch to it. Waitress didn't come back to check on food, and one of the meals had horseradish on it despite asking for it just on the side. The garlic knots were DELICIOUS though. Pretty pricey for what you get.
Es nuestro lugar preferido por la atención, la pizza Nova muy recomendada y la vista me encanta si tienes ventana.
La comida está muy buena . Con un embarcadero como vista , perfecto para ir en familia
First time trying this place. Overall the food was good! Spinach dip was tasty. Carne asada pizza was good, even though the meat didn’t taste like authentic carne asada. Caesar salad was a miss, probably the worse I’ve ever had. Garlic rolls they give you taste good but mine were a little hard.
Amazing atmosphere (restaurant overlooks beautiful marina) and fast service. However, the pizza was not as delicious as we had hoped. I ordered the White Spinach pizza with vegan cheese, and my friends ordered Pizza Nova and the Margarita. All pizza’s were just okay. Best part was the garlic knots that they gave for free. The pizza crust was also good.
Very nice atmosphere right on the harbor. Large restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Our group had lunch here and the salads and pizza were apparently good. I had the Nova Chicken Club with fresh fruit. The sandwich was OK. As far as the fruit, the pineapple was good but the rest was mediocre. The waitress was very nice but she failed to keep my ice tea iced on refills. Service was very slow, but they were fairly busy. Parking can be a challenge. Clean and tidy restaurant. Not for the bargain hunter - my bill was $18+.
DOR: 42924 solid food not great. This place is a 3.5 stars not 3! Had the works pizza. Great pizza crust/dough. The toppings were okay. Give the pizza 7 outta 10. The Ceasars salad was solid traditional salad 8 outta 10. The bread balls that were free were a miss. Glad they were free, lol! Overall, it's an okay place. Probably wouldn't return but passes by seal of approval #gorditoapproved #fatboyapproved
We were here before a few years back and had a much better experience. The food is still good, pizza is decent, pasta seemed house made. Our waiter didn't know the beer special, or the beer list, or have a physical list of beers, instead told us there was a wall on the other side of the restaurant. Really odd. I got a 10 inch pizza in happy hour, the waiter didn't let me know an 8 inch was half the price, then other waiters were telling around us, double the price, very frustrating. Also noticed the restaurant had a lot of flies and dirt, flies are hard, dirt is not. I'll give it a third try as we loved it the first time, but it was ok not great.
It had been a few years since I last visited Pizza Nova, but the one thing I’ve always remembered was their awesome location. Great views of the marina, comfortable booths and great lighting with large windows. Plenty of outdoor seating as well as parking. The staff are inviting, friendly and capable. Firstly, the complimentary garlic rolls were delicious. They were garlicky, oily and cheesy. The rest of the food however, we found to be mostly mediocre. We ordered their fish and chips entree as well as the roasted tomato, arugula and prosciutto wood fired pizza. The fish was bland, but the fries were well seasoned and crispy. The pizza had fresh ingredients, but the lemon olive oil overpowered everything else. Personally, I think it would have helped if the prosciutto was slightly cooked. My daughter ordered their “build your own pizza.” She chose pepperoni and cheese for her toppings. She was disappointed to find out that she doesn’t actually get to build her own pizza, as in put the ingredients together, but rather, just order the toppings. She thought the pizza was tasty though. For my beverage, I ordered an old fashioned. After my first one, I asked the waiter if it was made with Maker’s because it tasted of just, well whiskey. I was assured it was made with Maker’s. The second one I ordered, tasted as if it was made with Maker’s. What a mystery. We paid $126.06 with tip. Pizza Nova may not be on the top of our list, but there is a chance we would make a return visit; maybe we’ll find something on the menu that will surprise us.
This felt like cafeteria food, that came out in less than 5 minutes. I had the chicken piccata. The chicken was alright nothing to write home about, the pasta was super bland like it had not been salted at all while it boiled. The veggies were reheated frozen veggie mix. Definitely not worth it for being one of the highest price items on the menu. I would never go back
For me, this restaurant was very average. The pizza was different - not your normal pizza. It was good, but almost seemed to be trying too hard to be different. The starting garlic rolls were hit and miss with our group. We were a group of 10. The service seemed adequate. Prices seemed reasonable. Nothing really stood out for me.
We used to go here regularly but never again after last Sunday. We asked to sit in a booth by the window but they said they were all reserved even though nobody sat in them the entire time we ate our meal. Nobody checked in us once after our food arrived. They couldn’t even refill our water. The salad was so small compared to before and was mostly lettuce. Pizza was okay but not very hot.On the drive home I started to feel nauseous. I made it home and shortly afterwards was in the bathroom vomiting and having diarrhea. This last the entire evening. I really feel it’s not worth eating out anymore. Quality and service has gone so downhill but food poisoning on top of that was awful. I will never go back there.
