O que dizem os clientes de Postino
Postino in Little Italy is a hit, known for its great atmosphere, delicious bruschetta boards (especially artichoke dip and prosciutto with fig jam), and fantastic happy hour deals ($6-$7 wine/beer before 5pm). Service is frequently praised, with shout-outs to Tyler, Eric and Rudy. Some find airplane noise distracting.

No wait time upon arriving for Sunday lunch. Service was great and we enjoyed the special $7 wine glass until 5pm. Highly recommend getting the bruschetta board, it was so nice that they came cut up into four slices for me and my fiancé to share! We ended up combining the salami & pesto with the mozzarella & tomato one because we felt the latter needed a little bit of salt or some type of sauce, like balsamic vinaigrette or even the pesto (a suggestion for a menu change for the future, perhaps!). We upgraded our side salad to the brussel sprouts salad, which was tasty, and the prosciutto panini was a nice mix of salt and sweet with the fig in it.
No wait on a Monday evening. The interior of the restaurant is super interesting and unique, but very dark. All of the food was delicious! There was both indoor and outdoor seating available.
11pm eats! Sophisticated urban oasis. Legit Italian flavors and preparation. Well-curated wine list. Indoor and outdoor seating. Candlelit tables and retro decor for a mid-century kiss to authenticity. Contemporary music w/o being harsh. Classy host, attentive server (Rudy), and fair prices! Late night nosh or family celebration, I'd hit this up again and again. Loved the P.R.E.M.A. with chicken, light Romesco sauce, mucho bello. Shrimp scampi with artichokes was light an perfectly sautéed. Three slices of crisp and tender garlic bread.
Creative, modern Italian food. Love the small menu. Everything was great. We ordered the pinnini entree, a salad, a grilled cheese sandwich, and a bruschetta for 3 people to share. It was perfect for all 3 of us.
What a fabulous place in Little Italy! Love the decor. There were nice comfortable seating inside but most people opted to be seated outdoors to enjoy our beautiful weather. We were warmly greeted by the manager at the hostess stand in arrival. Our servers were very friendly as well. Service was stellar! We came here for lunch on a weekday and there was no wait. They have a special going for $6 glasses of wine until 5pm every day. We ordered their bruschetta board of 4 bruschettas of our choosing. Since there were 3 of us in our party, we each got a board so that we could try different ones to try. I really love the mushroom+marscapone, the burrata+bacon+tomatoes, the smoked salmon+pesto, the apple+brie, and prosciutto+fig. The chefs special of goat cheese+butternut squash+pepitas was a little on the plain side. The salami+pesto was nothing special as well. The crispy cauliflower appetizer we ordered in addition was a hit as well with the yummy Romanesco sauce. To top off a great lunch, our server Sydney brought out a plate of freshly baked gooey giant chocolate chip cookies too! Thanks Postino for a delicious lunch!
First time visiting this place. The atmosphere was very chill vibes. It was a nice day, so we sat outside. The food was great. We tried the build your own board. By far, my favorite combination was the French onion and the fig marscapone. We each ordered a panini, and the waiter was very helpful, suggesting which bread paired well with our choice of panini. We also shared a cesar salad: dressing tasted hade made and the shrimp were huge (worth it). Our drinks were also tasty. Highly recommend. They have a simple but tasty menu.
5/5 for flavor and aesthetic but taking off points for some portion size and service. Came here for brunch and really like the aesthetic of the place. Menu was also quite creative and had a lot of good options on there. I think overall the food was quite flavorful as well but not all items were value for money. I got the bruschetta board cuz it was what we actually went for. Husband and some of our friends in love with the artichoke spread version. It was quite creamy and loaded and had a slightly tangy taste to it but I think I would have preferred it a lot more with a little bit of chilli flakes on top. My favorite was the sweet Spicy Pepper Jam with Goat Cheese. I'm a major fan of sweet and spicy flavors and this one really hit the spot. Husband also got the prosciutto + fig + mascarpone as well as the bruschetta + arugula + bacon+ tomato flavor. Those are also quite yummy. Friends tried the vegetarian ones and the corn and cotija cheese seasonal special seemed to be a hit. The table ordered some sweet potato wedges and everyone seem to enjoy them. I guess the biggest let down here was the salad. I ordered the mixed green salad with some grilled chicken on it and the portion size was extremely small! They were very little greens in that bowl and the amount of chicken was also maybe 3 oz? I feel like whenever I've added on grilled chicken to a salad at a restaurant it's usually been like 4.5oz or at least the standard 4 oz of chicken. We went to the server and asked for some extra plain Greens on the side and took them actually quite a while to get that out. Another issue with the service overall is that they took quite a long time to come to our table. After we were seated and got our waters they took a while time to come take our order. Throughout our time there as well no one came to check up on us much either. Definitely want to know that the servers were very kind and sweet though :) Same for the host!
This place is amazing! Everything we tried was delicious, and the service was very attentive. We came during happy hour, and my husband was thrilled to get a pitcher of beer for just $7. Plus, you can watch planes coming in for landing, which made the experience even more fun.
This is a new spot in little italy, San Diego. Its a wine bar and a restaurant as well. We went here on a Monday night and came across a great promotion for the nigt: a wine bottle and a board for $30. Of course this might change in the future but this was an amazing deal. The atmosphere was so cute with all the lights. Waiters were every attentive and polite. You can also come here with your dog to be seated at the patio. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I always prefer outdoor but the inside was super cute as well. The board was delicious. I am eager to try more of their food in the future for sure!
If I could give a 6 for service, I would. I ordered the brussels sprout salad, which was flavorful and fresh. The soup of the moment was a buttery leak and potato that I shall dream about tomorrow. The happy hour-Half price glass of wine was a bonus!
A must-go to spot in San Diego! Great for a girl-catch up session or date Nate. Wonderful wine selection & bruschetta range is amazing. Special shout-out to our incredible waiter, Tyler!
Updated review -I recently enjoyed lunch at Little Italy with my friends and mom during happy hour, where wine and a pitcher of beer were only $6 before 5 PM. We shared a four-piece bruschetta platter, mushroom truffle fondue, roasted cauliflower, and a chicken salad. The service was excellent—my waitress Chris was especially great, even helping with our stroller and providing warm water for my mom—and we even got a freshly baked cookie. If parking is tough here, there’s another branch at One Paseo in Del Mar. Previous review- My husband and I walked by this place and wondering why we never saw it before. We decided to give it a try, and we found out that it was their opening today! The vibe and decoration is beautiful, it’s great for a date or friend’s hangout. I had a crispy cauliflower and my husband had a grilled cheese, both are nice. I think my cauliflower is more unique and delicious. I highly recommend it. Service is nice and friendly. It will be a popular spot for sure.
one of the best spots we went to in san diego - unbelievably big and delicious chopped salad, really yum bruschetta (artichoke dip and prosciutto with fig jam were highlights) and CRAZY good happy hour ($7 beer pitchers, $7 glasses of any wine on their by the glass list until 5pm EVERY day). great decor, and really great staff!

My husband ordered from here the other night a few charcuterie boards, one of them being a Mediterranean style which we both fell in love with! He also ordered the mushroom truffle dip. We are both Blown Away by the quality and flavors. Also considering we ordered it for delivery not all through travel as well, so we were very happy and pleased with our food! I loved both chicory place we ordered so much I want to learn how to recreate them myself! We have also been here in person and I love the vibe. This is a really great spot for Quality bites!
Went to Postino after our trip to the Farmers market last Saturday. We usually frequent the Del Mar location so we were excited to visit the Little Italy site. Again Postino did not disappoint- it was DELICIOUS!!! We ALWAYS start with the cauliflower- absolutely delicious!! The bartender, Leo, was so down to earth and fun to chat with...so much that we plan to return next Saturday! Sparkling was mello- not sweet. Holly's Way- good basic Chardonnay and plenty of reds to choose from. Yummy!
I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch bowl here. The portion size was just right, and the quality of the food was excellent. The happy hour beer pitcher deal was a great value. The staff was pleasant, friendly, and attentive.

Nice warm welcome from the time we entered. The vibe inside was upbeat but calming with the art and music. Loved the old car hanging from the ceiling in the back room. Our server, Eric, gave us some great wine and bruschetta recommendations. The Smoked salmon Pesto and Burrata, Bacon, Arugula and Tomato bruschettas were Muy delicioso! The Vino he recommended washed down everything smoothly. Then, we ordered the Half Nine Iron Panini and Chicken Florentine Soup. Ohh yes! It hit the spot! For dessert, we enjoyed their popular donut dots (donut holes) and Crunchy Hazelnut Bar with Peanut Butter Mousse. We were in Foodie Heaven! Eric too great care of us too! Thank you, Eric! Would we return to Postino again? Oh heck yeah! @PostinoWineCafe @YelpSanDiego
Postino Little Italy truly knocked it out of the park! I was looking for a fantastic spot with great atmosphere and even better food, and this place delivered on all fronts. This is a must-visit, and easily earns a full 5 stars. The food is the star of the show. We started with the legendary Bruschetta Board, and it was an absolute delight. The variety of spreads—from the classic Prosciutto di Parma with fig and mascarpone to the more unique creations—offered a perfect bite for every palate. The bread was perfectly grilled, providing that satisfying crunch. For the main course, we sampled a few of their paninis and boards, but the Nine Iron Panini stood out: tender steak, smoked onion marmalade, and cheese on warm, pressed ciabatta—it was savory perfection. Every dish we had was clearly made with high-quality ingredients and a thoughtful approach. Beyond the incredible flavors, the service was attentive and friendly, and the patio atmosphere in the heart of Little Italy was lively and inviting. If you're looking for a reliably fantastic meal, especially if you love shareable plates and excellent wine, make a reservation at Postino Little Italy. You won't be disappointed! Overall Score: 5/5 Highly Recommend: The Bruschetta Board!
My friend wanted to go to Postino for lunch and I'm so glad she showed me this place. Everything was great! I made a reservation however, we got there right when they opened and were seated promptly. At first we sat outside but got up to ask to move and the manager asked is if it was a little chilly out while waving us inside in such an inviting way. For drinks we ordered from the Zero proof menu, the Glow Up I believe. It was nice and subtle with complimenting flavors. A bit sour but sweet as well. For food we ordered the Soup of the Moment which was a chicken noodle soup with pesto. And we got the Chicken Monzerella Panini. The soup was served warm but not hot which I would have appreciated cuz it was a bit cold that morning. The Chicken Monzerella Panini was toasted perfectly with juicy chicken and a nice dressing inside, it was a really good panini We both ordered Bruschetta boards with 4 bruschettas. We got the Brie Apple Fig, Sweet N Spicy Peper Jam Goat Cheese, Burrata Bacon Arugula Tomato, Fresh Monzerella Tomato Basil, Prosciutto Fig Marscarpone, Smoked Salmon Pesto, Salami Pesto, and the Chef's Choice. The Brie Apple Fig was such a refreshing taste it was enjoyable bit! The Sweet N Spicy Pepper Jam Goat Cheese was good with balance flavors but the Goat Cheese wasnt for me. If you like Goat Cheese you'd love this! The Burrata Bacon Arugula Tomato was so refreshing with a nice balance of subtle citrus and really delightful Bacon on it. Just a refreshing bit! The Fresh Monzerella Tomato Basil was good. It was light and nice but simple too. If you're not looking for anything flashy, this js the one for you. The Prosciutto Fig Marscarpone was freshly and salty in al the right ways. It eas a beautiful pairing. Just wonderful. The Smoked Salmon Pesto was really nice with fried capers ans raw red onions on top, it made for a wonderful bite. The Salami Pesto was okay, honestly not to impresside but still a safe choice. And the Chef's Choice was a Mexican street corn tossed in cream and Tapatio and topped with queso fresco and more tapatio. I personally thought there was too much Tapatio but it was still a decent bruschetta. I just thought the bread was a but over toasted ans some burnt making for some hard bites. Overall very nice place and definitely recommend!
I used to live in Phoenix and loved Postino, so I was thrilled when they expanded to San Diego! The Little Italy location did not disappoint—amazing service, delicious food, and such a fun, vibey atmosphere. It’s perfect for a night out with friends or celebrating something special. The noise level can be a bit high with the airport and train nearby, but the overall experience more than makes up for it. So happy to have one of my favorite spots here in California!
Food and service were great. The airplane noise made it difficult to converse as there were constant planes taking off. One or 2 planes are neat but to have a constant flow makes it hard to have a conversation

Very disappointed with this place. I ordered online and the food looked nothing like the images shown on the menu. The Italian Beef Dip panini had barely any meat, and the OMG Grilled Cheese looked like it didn’t even have cheese in it. On top of that, two sandwiches, meat skewers, and two drinks came out to almost $90, which is outrageous for the quality we received. Definitely not worth the price. Won’t be ordering from here again.
