The ambience was soo pretty. The taste of the salsa was on point and toooo good. Yummy and flavorful food and very very sweet staff. We had ordered Nachos Azules and Veggie Trio Enchiladas. OMG the sauces were classic. We left with our tummy and hearts full. Superb!!

Carmen was fantastic and so was the food. I would dare say best vegan Mexican food I’ve ever had. I am not vegan but my best friend is, I eat with her here and I would never be able to tell the difference. I highly recommend!!

Excellent Mexican Restaurant. I had a ton of vegan/ veg alternatives to traditional Mexican food options. Anyone who loves plants would fall in love with the ambiance. Would definitely recommend others to try this place.

We were recommended this place for good vegetarian mexican food and they were definitely right. The variety of different good options was pretty great. The staff was super nice as well. Carmen was great with recommendations, was fast and friendly. We got the soyrizo borito that they made in house with quinua which actually worked well. The homemade sauces they give you are super nice as well. Both were fresh and packed with flavor. They weren't too spicy and the mango one added a nice fruitiness. Overall a great place and we will definitely be back.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s honestly probably some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had— vegan or not. Everything has so much flavor. Service is always fast and friendly. Their two hot sauces (the mango habanero and the mint, I believe) are also probably the best hot sauces I’ve ever had. They also offer complimentary chips and salsa which is rare these days. Wow, wow, wow!! We went in search of SIPZ (vegan restaurant) and was met at the door by a closed sign. We were pretty disappointed and walked only a few steps when we noticed that the sign outside of this lovely restaurant stated that it had plant based options! We decided to check them out and to our pleasant surprise, they had pretty much all the classic Mexican dishes as a vegan option!! Guys, let me tell youuuuuuuu... You have never had a vegan horchata as good as this place! Trust me, we've tried many and BOY, this place has a very VERY delicious vegan horchata! We got the Vegan Chorizo Quesadilla, the Vegan Ceviche, Vegan Potato Roll Tacos and the Vegan Chicken Tacos, along with the Vegan Horchatas, all to go. We were on our way somewhere and pretty much ate in the car but we were devouring it like we hadn't ate in days! Lol We decided to return and try them again another day, the lady that attended us the first time recognized us and was super nice! We decided to dine in this time, the inside was super cute, really nice Mexican chill music, and the bathrooms were spacey and clean! We had the vegan horchatas again OF COURSE, this time we had the Vegan Chicken Quesadilla, the Vegan trio Enchiladas, the Guac and Chips and the Vegan ceviche. All 10/10! I was surprised that when searching for vegan restaurants, Ranchos Cocina doesn't come up as an option or on any lists, this place deserves a shot out! They know what they're doing and offer EVERYTHING imaginable in a vegan option! My heart felt so much joy to see vegan menudo on the menu!! Parking is available in the back of the restaurant.

This is by far, one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. I was so excited to find this place, they had a mushroom meat substitute and I was blown away at how tasty it was!! I couldn’t even tell it was a plant based burrito. The flavor profile alone is just amazing. I live like 2 hours away and constantly am tempted to make the drive just to enjoy this delicious food! The service was excellent, the decor is beautiful, and the entire experience was a vibe. Already planning my next visit! Thank you Ranchos Cocina!!

Definitely 💯 come and enjoy all the delicious food ( we ordered the Vegan an enchiladas wow 🤩 so much flavor ) We enjoyed every bite ! Also the vegan 🥑 Flan 🍮 is a definite must ! We tried the veggie trio enchiladas and tamales. The stuffings were different in each one of them and delicious. The mole and salsas tasted fantastic. The server was full of life and the service was fast.

Hands. Down. This. Is. My. Favorite. Mexican. Restaurant. While I have been thoroughly enjoying my plant-based food adventures in San Diego, this restaurant ranks in my top favorites not just because of the food but also the staff and atmosphere. The vegan horchata was an excellent staff recommendation. It surpassed the best chai latte I've ever had. The Veggie Trio Enchiladas were so amazing. I don't even know if I could pick a favorite. The green enchilada was filled with lentils. The sauce had a lovely citrus kick. The mole was paired with the tofu and veggies. It was fabulous being able to eat a vegan mole. It really took me back. The red enchiladas were stuffed with refried beans. So delicious and creamy. Seriously, so happy I got to try one of each. Not sure how I would pick just one next time. Chips and salsa were bomb. Chips were thick and crunch. Salsa was spicy and packed full of flavor. Highly recommend this place for vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores. Felt very comfortable dining alone here. Would love to come back with my +1.

Amazing quality of food and service! Hot and Fresh, made to order, amazing friendly staff! I'm a regular there, Araceli and Mundo remember my order every time and they are very accommodating to my vegan diet. Awesome menu and atmosphere. Visited Ranchos Cocina, a Mexican restaurant recently which is located on 30th Street, San Diego. In starters, I got Fresh Hot Nachos with guacamole and two different sauces which were spicy and so flavorful (matched Indian sauces taste) and Ignacio’s Special Nachos which tasted so good. I tried multiple dishes here with my friends. I ordered Veggie Trio Enchiladas for myself which comes with three enchiladas with three different tempting sauces, and a small rice bowl. Sauces were so unique and yummy and rice was good too. I also tried Dos O Tres Tacos with chorizo (vegan substitution) and it was so flavorful. Also tried quesadilla with vegan option. The special and the most unique thing about this restaurant was that they had vegan options for almost every single dish on their menu, which is very rare to see in any restaurant—and the best part, it was all so tasty. So if you are a vegan/vegetarian and want to eat Mexican food, I believe this is the best option in San Diego. Do visit them! 🌮✨ Rating: Food: 4.7/5 Ambiance: 4.2/5

Cool looking place. Decent service. Food on the other hand was not good. Tiny bowl of chips and salsa while we waited for food that we had to ask for twice. Paid for a fountain drink that came in a tiny cup that we barely got two refills one. Ordered fajitas and it came out with 1 tortilla and barely any meat at all over a massive bed of veggies. Very disappointing. The other dish was enchiladas and it was better. But the worst part is today we are both sick. Can’t really be that far from a toilet. I would never go again, obviously.
