Perguntas frequentes sobre Banh Mi Viet
Avaliações de Banh Mi Viet San Francisco
I got the combo meat and it is easily my favorite banh mi in the city. Flavors were good, ratios were on point, the ingredients were nicely layered horizontally rather than next to each other. BUT my boyfriend got the chicken and he didn’t like it. He said that the chicken had too much bbq sauce, his sandwich was missing jalapeños, and his had the common sandwich problem where some ingredients are all the way one on side.
"Well, hot diggity dog, if Banh Mi Viet ain’t the tastiest thing since a Texas barbecue, I don’t know what is! This here banh mi’s got bread that’s crispier than a tumbleweed in the desert and soft as a summer breeze on the inside. And the fillings? Shoot, they’re fresher than a daisy in spring and pack more flavor than a cowboy cookout! The mix of savory meats, pickled veggies, and that zesty sauce’ll have your taste buds doing the Texas two-step! The folks workin’ here are friendlier than a critter at a country fair, and they whip up your order faster than a jackrabbit on a hot skillet. If y’all want a sandwich that’ll knock your boots off, Banh Mi Viet’s the spot, y’all! Yeehaw!"
Fantastic food, great and fast service, and ample toppings. Perfect for vegans and vegetarians, the tofu banh mi is incredible, has tons of tofu and toppings, and is only $8. Sometimes they sell out before 5pm and have to close, so get there early!
beef bahn mi was amazing!!! best I've ever had and the bread was fresh
Cheap and fast, literally no frills! Love the cold cut and fish banh mi. The veggies are super fresh and crunchy and the sauce is the perfect amount. Used to come here a lot after yoga across the street, would just go in with my order and sun tan outside while I wait.
Top food, top service, simple atmosphere. Definitely a pleasant surprise for me. The food is worth the money. Ask about the portions, before you order. Two dishes could be enough for four people. Very recommendable.
The food is very fresh and delicious. We recently had them do a rather large catering order and the sandwiches were very well made. Consistency is key especially for a large order! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
for the price, undefeated. i come here every 2 weeks, and it’s so good. bring it to a picnic with friends or on a walk to ggp. nonetheless. best chicken banh mi i’ve had. 9 dollars including tax and tip for a filling delicious banh mi!!
6 STARS OUT OF 5. This place is outstanding. It’s the kind of Banh Mi you write home about. Extraordinary value (I would have happily paid double the price). Generous portions (my Banh Mi contained so much meat I almost couldn’t finish it, and I’m a 6’0” male). Fresh ingredients (bread was warm and vegetables were crunchy). Sublime taste (I have had many Banh Mi’s and this is the best I have ever had). YOU MUST VISIT.
This is an excellent eatery. It's also one of the most affordable meals around! Wonderful vietnamese food, made with love, and served quickly.
Amazing!!! 🤩🥳 Prices, quality, & quantity 🌟Super nice people! I ordered 2 shrimp rolls w/ peanut sauce! Best I’ve had in Bay Area!!! 🏆
Delicious! I never write reviews, but this place absolutely deserves 5 stars and everyone’s business. I tried the beef banh mi and the beef vermicelli noodles. Both were absolutely delicious! The vermicelli noodle plate was particularly filling. Great prices and short wait — so happy to have this place in the neighborhood. I will be coming here often!
No seating but the banh mi is one of the better ones I’ve had in San Francisco. I got the tofu banh mi and it was sweet from the hoisin sauce with crispy pickled vegetables. Only thing is I wish it was spicier!
The cold cut special banh mi is phenomenal! Love the pate and pickles
Take-out banh mi that really knocks it out of the park. That bread is magnificent! Seriously perfect: crispy thin crust that won't tear up the roof of your mouth, soft & utterly delicious interior crumb. Oh yeah, and the fillings are pretty yummy too! 😉 I don't live here, but if I did I'd definitely be a regular. 😁👍🏼
The most amazing beef bahn mi and spring rolls. Came here while they’re under construction and they had a setup at a bar down the street. The beef is delicious and you can really taste lemongrass. Spring rolls are so fresh with lots of greenery. Will be back!
This place is SOOO good. I had the chicken bahn mi, tofu spring rolls and watermelon juice. Everything was so fresh and good. Also cheap! Only $10 for my sandwich
Banh Mi Viet is BACK and all is right with the world. Around ten bucks gets you a baguette stuffed to capacity. Think crispy shell, soft center, and a crunch you can hear across the street. I usually grab the classic combo with pate and cold cuts, but the chicken banh mi is also a banger. Pickled veg bring the tang, jalapeños bring the drama, and they do not hold back on the meat. Add the iced coffee if you want caffeinated jet fuel. It’s still takeout, cash or Venmo is preferred, and they crank out orders faster than you can say “extra cilantro.” Cheap, fast, delicious. Keep this place busy so it never disappears again.
Ordered through doordah..Pork Bahn Mi was delicious, the spring rolls were super fresh and the scrumptious peanut sauce that went along with them was just made perfect.
Great grab and go lunch spot on Divis. Get yourself a fresh sandwich / house made beverage and head up to Alamo Square for an impromptu picnic. Super fast service even during the lunch rush (no need to order ahead). Ingredients taste fresh especially the bread 10/10 will be coming back often
Got the #1 (dac biet) and #4 (tofu) banh mi for $21 even if paying by cash/Venmo. Came on hot, fresh, super crunchy baguettes with generous helpings of pickled carrot and radish. Also generous portions of tofu. No seating area inside, so we enjoyed our sandwiches across the street at the Muni bus stop. Next time if it’s an option, I’d opt for less hoisin and more pate. Fast and good quality—would go again.
My favorite spot in the neighborhood for a fast and easy lunch — they keep their prices pretty affordable too. My go to order is the #1, but everything is delicious! Perfect to grab to eat at the park nearby. I come here every week. They recently had a fire so they’re temporarily closed at this location, but last I went (today) they have a pop-up 10 am - 3 pm at Madrone. Support your local businesses 🙏❤️
Easily unnoticed, hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese deli serving made-to-order banh mi, ready-to-go rice paper rolls, and drip coffee. Perfect for food enthusiasts seeking more savory breakfast options. Beef Banh Mi, wonderfully fragrant from lemongrass while pickled vegetables cut perfectly through the richness of pate. Well-toasted French Roll, airy but crisp. Shrimp Spring Roll, an excellently refreshing deal at $6.
Stopped by randomly after smelling something delicious on the street. So glad I did. Coffee is amazing, would highly recommend. I had a beef sandwich, really delicious. There was a good proportion of meat to veges. Also the pâté was probably the best I've had a in a while, strong flavored and does just taste like butter. Give this place a shot!
Super good cheap eats! The beef vermicelli was super fresh, excellent flavorful Vietnamese beef and a HUGE portion! … and it was $10!! Definitely coming back to try other delights. Super good find! No seating but don’t let this stop you from grabbing something fresh and authentic from this little Vietnamese gem!
Really great place and the best deal around whether you want a quick lunch or ask them to slice them into five for a picnic in the pan handle. Dinosaur has a lot more melted mayo in theirs. Viet has moe veggies. The meat is pretty similar so you won’t be disappointed
Just wow. Was walking down Divisadero and suddenly an incredible smell! Where is it coming from? I almost walked right by when I noticed “Banh Mi” in the window and I stopped in my tracks. Couldn’t even wait to get home and ate it in my car. Affordable, delicious sandwich with great flavor and texture. Can’t wait to come back.
One of the better banh mi shops in the city. I have relatively high expectations being Vietnamese and enjoyed their fish cake banh mi. My partner got the beef banh mi and also thought it was tasty. Decent sizes and good portion of protein + fillings. The woman and man working there are Vietnamese so you know it's authentic. Happy to support this new small business on Divis! Didn't think to leave a review until after we started eating so these sandwiches are about 1/3 eaten.

Cute little vietnamies place! The food was delicious!

Delicious banh mi. The baguette is the perfect texture with the right amount of outer crust crunch and inner chewiness. Hefty portion, too. The shop is small so you order and wait outside, and they have your sandwich made pretty quick so you’re not waiting for long. Tried to shrimp spring rolls, too, and they were nice and refreshing. Highly recommend.
Quick and yummy banh mi near Alamo Square. There are plenty of options for banh mi in the city and this one is good for simple, quick and satisfying. Bread is yummy and the sauce on the chicken banh mi was lip smacking.
The beef banh mi was very good and the seating was nice. I’m definitely coming back!
Chicken banh mi was phenomenal, and the iced coffee had just the right amount of condensed milk in it. Great prices too!!!

I ordered the tofu bahn mi. It was good, but a little heavy on the tofu, which tasted a little bland. It was also packed with carrots and had hardly any other ingredients, at least not that I could tell.
I found the banh mi solid, if unremarkable. I ordered "banh mi cha lua, no pate" but received a full "dac biet" combo with pate inside.
Usually when I get a Dac Biet banh mi it comes with head cheese and other cold cuts - they've subbed this with extra ham and pork sung. Still tasty, but not what I was expecting based off of their menu description.
Beef banh mi $12 before they ask for a "to go" tip ~ portion size is super solid and probably the best thing about the meal, lots of fresh veg also. It's missing an impressive flavour overall though. I'd recommend Banh Mi Viet Diamond for a cheaper, and better meal

The tofu banh mi is good. They're pretty fast. I think DragonEats is better. The main lady is pretty nice. The other lady is nice but doesn't know how to use the Square register yet. <$10 is good - I appreciate the amount of tofu they give. The cream/egg sauce could be a little smoother. Watermelon juice was great. I feel happy to come here, and I know it'll be quick.

I have ordered Tofu Banh Mi two times from this place. Even though the menu says it has cilantro, cucumber, pickled radish, carrot and mayo. All I could taste was a ton of carrots. Rest of the ingredient's was either missing or very little that you don't even taste it. I am not sure why they stuff so much carrots and leave rest out or put so little. are carrots cheaper ?
Great marketing! They have a nice logo and a very neat design. However, the service was terrible. When we came in and were looking at the menu, the cashier impatiently asked, "Are you ready? Are you ready?" Then, when we got our order, I said, "Thank you," and she didn't even look at us. I'm giving one star for the service. Sorry, but I'm not sorry.
I ordered a fishcake banh mi and it was very sweet, it tasted like there was a lot of hoisin sauce or something similar in it. The bread they used was quite good. Service was not super friendly, and heads up that they only take Venmo (or cash, which they didn't even have change for a small bill for).
The cold cuts sandwich was underwhelming. Maybe the problem was my expectations after reading all the reviews. I would prefer more sauce (it felt a little too dry), less carrot, and maybe more meat. But the price is fantastic (even if the sandwich size is a bit smaller than in some other places). Disclaimer: the sandwich in the picture is half-eaten.

I had a tofu bahn mi and the sauce was only put in the corner of the sandwich. If the spread was put evenly on the entire sandwich the taste would have been much better.
I was excited to try this place as it has a very high rating on Google. I ordered Bahn Mi without head cheese. Normally it comes with head cheese, pate, and something called fancy pork. I received a sandwich with head cheese and no pate. I must’ve said no head cheese about five times because the two women working there did not speak English very well and I do not speak Vietnamese. I then found this in my sandwich. looked like something that would be used as a backing to carpeting. I have now found out that it is something called pork floss. It’s supposed to be edible and I did try to eat it, but it had no flavor. I wonder if that’s what they consider fancy pork. So considering that I did not get any pate and I removed the fancy pork I ended up with a head cheese sandwich. The one item I did not want.
They list our every ingredient on the menu but fail to mention that their fish cake banh mi has meat in it in the form of pate. They don’t even mention pate in the list of ingredients. If they didn’t list the ingredients, of course I would ask as the one with a dietary restriction. But they listed every ingredient including “egg butter”, and failed to mention the meat in their fish sandwich. Really disappointed! When I called they said “sorry”. Please change your menu to accurately reflect the ingredients or tell people which ones are vegetarians.
The shop's decorations are cute, but the space is very small with no seating area. I ordered a chicken banh mi, and the guy seemed surprised when I asked for a receipt. Apparently, he didn't even know how to print a receipt, so a woman came out from the back to help him. After handing me the receipt, she asked me to wait outside in a rude tone of voice. There were no other customers except me, but they made me wait outside in the cold for no apparent reason. I wish the banh mi was worth it, but it wasn't. The chicken was way too sweet, and the pickled carrots were thick, tasteless sticks. It was a terrible experience overall. I truly have no idea why the rating is so high. One of the most disappointing experiences of my trip to San Francisco this time.
