Great breakfast before the start of our whale tour ! The atmosphere was great, fantastic views from our table of the bridge and alcatraz. Great to hear the Pier "waking up" in the early hours while enjoying omelettes and coffee. Service was great and all staff was friendly.

This is a good solid bowl of clam chowder with terrific service, an incredibly low price especially on Pier 39, and am amazing view! I came here on my last morning and had a bowl of clam chowder so my cat Cosmo and I could enjoy the view. The clam chowder was good with lots of clams. Not quite as good as the other bowl I had a couple days ago but this price was about 25% lower and this bowl definitely had more clams. I'd rate it a solid 7.5 or 8 and an amazing deal at only $11.50. the view is worth that price alone. We had a great view of Alcatraz and could hear and see the sea lions in the distance. I will definitely come back to enjoy a bowl my next trip. You can't beat the value for your money.
We were 6 people and paid around 180 however I must say that everone order a good dish, I order a soup, fish and chips and a beer. The food was good, the beer it wqs local and also had a great taste. The service was good too, the staff was very kind.

My family of 6 ate at Eagle Cafe together. The food was great, including the iconic clam chowder in a bread bowl, and the service was relatively quick (I think we only waited about 5 minutes for our food after ordering - at about 1pm). We ate at the table nearest to the open entrance, which would have been great on a hot summer afternoon, but seeing as it was a cold winter day, it was a little chilly and not ideal (otherwise I'd give 5 stars for atmosphere).
Jefferson is a very pleasant person; the service was outstanding and made us feel very welcome. His recommendations were delicious (the French toast and the breakfast burrito), but the best part was the coffee. Highly recommended place
We had the pleasure of visiting San Francisco over the weekend and were seeking a quick breakfast. This particular restaurant caught our eye, and I must say, I have no regrets about dining there. We discovered some truly excellent Clam Chowder, and the Breakfast Classic was equally satisfying. While the bacon could have been a bit crispier, it was still quite enjoyable. The views of the bay are absolutely stunning, and the service provided by the staff was wonderful. I highly recommend this establishment. I also particularly enjoyed the USS hats they had on display.
Avocado toast was a WINNER! If you like avo toast this place does it WELL! Highly recommend. They give so much avocado and the egg is cooked perfectly. It’s seasoned to perfection and I love the arugula and cherry tomato topping. It’s just perfect! It comes with fries which is nice. Seems to be a popular spot for breakfast as the restaurant was filled. My coworkers loved their dishes as well, from the chorizo burrito to the breakfast sandwich, everyone was very satisfied. Service is friendly and quick here, even if they’re busy. I will definitely consider coming back when I visit SF again. Seems to be a place both locals and visitors love.
Incredible food, and generous portions. Very large breakfast sandwich on sourdough bread. Huevos rancheros was unique, and very flavorful. Reasonably priced for the pretty views, location, and portion size.
Cute place and tasty food. Enjoyed the garlic fries as an appetizer and then the avocado and egg toast, with my husband enjoying their fish and chips.
Perfect breakfast location. Lovely view outside and the food was perfect. Oh, the Bloody Mary was amazing. Victor was very kind and gave us the best service. Definitely a go to next time we’re in town. 😃

We visited Eagle Cafe on Pier 39 for breakfast right after landing in San Francisco, and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was wonderful, with perfect weather and a great spot out on the patio. The food was terrific, and the waitstaff were fabulous, making our visit even more enjoyable. I hosted some friends from the east bay today. They wanted to beat the heat and come to SF. The food at Eagle Cafe is good. We all enjoyed it. It was nice to see Pier 39 crowded again. We had burgers $18 each, clam chowder w/salad $16, avocado toast $13, fish and garlic fries $22.50, cocktails $14 each, calamari $14, garlic fries $10. Service was excellent. They accommodated two little ones we had in our party. Good job everyone at Eagle Cafe.

Stopped in for a quick drink while wandering around fisherman’s wharf. Lovely old cafe/restaurant with nice vibes and great service. Early so it was Quiet but nice.
Burger and beer was tasty, priced decently. Sat on the outside deck with excellent view of the bay and Alcatraz. Only downside, server never checked back once food was served. With a sloppy burger, had no napkins until I flagged someone else down. Offered other people water, but not me. Not a massive deal, but attention to details matter.

Eagle Cafe at Pier 39 was good food with great portions. On a Sunday morning around 11 am, the serve was a bit slow, but the overall experience was good. While visiting SF we stopped in for a bite at this charming spot on Pier 39 and were pleasantly surprised by the food. The chilaquiles with eggs were flavorful and satisfying, and the French toast was perfectly done, crispy on the outside, and soft and sweet inside. I also sampled the clam chowder. It would have hit the spot if sourdough bread bowl that it was served in would have been warm. This would have definitely lived up to the Pier 39 hype, but it was tasty nonetheless. The location itself is a huge plus—great views, lively atmosphere, and easy to find. The only downside was the coffee. I usually enjoy mine black, but it was overly bitter and lacked depth. Even after adding creamers, it was still a miss for me. Starting my day with a good cup of coffee is important for me, so this was a little disappointing. Next time I’m in the area, I may explore other options, but I’m glad I gave this place a try. Regardless, this was solid pick for a tourist-friendly meal with some standout dishes!
Food is halfway decent. The burger was a cooked too much for my liking. But it was filled. The chowder bowl was good. But they’re many more areas with chowder that are just as good or better. The service was subpar. One waitress would ask if we needed something and when we would respond. She would never deliver. Odd behavior.
Visited on 10/07/24 and the food was decent but the service really sucks. Server Brenda did not check on us until we had a problem with the food we ordered. Not once did she refill or ask if we wanted another drink.
