Yummy drinks, friendly bartender, great live music.
Blondie’s is my happy place! The bartenders are always friendly and sociable and they have a great spread of tasty non alcoholic options in addition to the usuals. The bar and the dance floor both have a row of seating around it and there are 2-3 booths as well as a little awning where you can people watch on Valencia or get a breath of cool air between dances. The dance floor is so smooth and never sticky, and the lineup of bands almost every night with a variety of styles is amazing!
Michael was the bartender on duty tonight and curated the most fire playlist. The music was so good I stayed for a second round. Cute bar, good specials for HH, mixed clientele, and pretty relaxed at 6:30PM on a Saturday. Glad I stopped in!
We really loved visiting and hanging out at Blondie’s! Michael was an incredible bartender and host — friendly, knowledgable and also a great DJ. We loved the music and the vibes. We’ll definitely swing by the next time we’re in town from the east coast. PS the flavor and generous serving size = worth it!
Awesome music venue in a relaxed, non pressure, no door fee, only check ID. Cash only for drinks. Best Martinis (Dirty, Daiquiri) & cocktails (Woody) very generous portion, almost 2&1/2 extra come with martini glass and extra tall glaaa. If non alcoholic choice (Hoppy Water by Lagunitas)
Really cool bar to have the American experience like a local. We came with a group of friends and a blues band was playing, they were amazing! The vibe was awesome, people were dancing or just talking, you could feel like if you were surrounded by friends. The drinks and beer price was okey and the bartenders were nice, we had the best of time. I’d definitely come back if I have the chance.
If you love martinis, if you hate martinis, Blondie's is a good time. It's been my first stop of the night and my last. Staff has always been super friendly. Very fab!
A great bar with great taste in music (with the right DJ, of course) with a small-medium dance floor. They've transitioned to cash only for their drinks but the prices remain the same so it's a bit inconvenient. The cover at the door is only $5 which isn't too bad. They also have a small bar in the back if you want to talk instead of dance.
Got charged 18$ for a Valencia cocktail. This place is too simple to charge clients so much for cocktails. Owner says they gave you extra glass ? I didn't get anything like that. Try Delirium on Guerrero, 8$ for drinks and STRONG drinks. They don't play with you with oz or milligrams.
One of the worse drink I’ve had in a long time but was a very large amount for the price and I enjoyed the little heated outside
Ive been coming here for over 20 years, when Blondie used to dance on the bar. It had always been cash only, no prices ever listed on the chalk board, so I knew what to expect. What I didn't expect...they now accept credit cards. So I decided to pay with a credit card and was surprised to see an automatic 20% gratuity. When I inquiried about the automatic gratuity and if its posted, I was told it was posted. Well, its posted on a small board, not legible in the dark far from where I ordered our drinks. I wish I was advised of the automatic gratuity beforehand, not cool! I don't like being forced to an automatic gratuity, this has pretty much gotten out of control everywhere. Yes, I know as a small business credit card fees are a pain, but its the cost of doing business. Blondies...be more transparent!
Don’t come here often but yesterday will be the last time. Get there a few minutes before happy hour ended, put in our order before the deadline, took forever for our drinks because of a backlog and bartender was horsing around. charged full price. Was told $28 for two margaritas, and then charged $38… for a dive bar? At 8pm with like twelve ppl there? Out of your mind. The margs sucked too, screwed up on the type of tequila as well.
I've been going to blondies for years. It has really changed a lot since the pandemic. The drinks are smaller even though they still give you the shaker cup your martini glass is only halfway filled. The bartenders are quick but not friendly or welcoming. I know a lot of bartenders who are super busy with crowds but still take the time to acknowledge and smile. The worst part about this place is this old man, with zero personality, who stands at the edge of the stage and stares through to everyone's soul. He's a bouncer. But the intensity at which he scans the room and stares at each person while standing above them is pretty creepy and uncomfortable. Blondies definitely lost its appeal.
20% mandatory tip, yet bartender refuses to bring you water. 20% tip is fine, but provide some semblance of service! No second drink brought! Bad manhattan cocktail also for $28+!
Bar tender is extremely rude and likes to yell at paying customers for no reason. We come in and he only takes 1 of our orders and as I try to order he said he would be right back. Proceeds to take everybody else’s order around the bar even the people next to us and then yells at us for looking at him saying to order together. It’s absurd as they even have an etiquette sign right above.
This place decided to kick a group of us out because we were there for more than 10 minutes and were too loud. Paid $10 cover to then be told to leave. Bouncers had a lot of miscommunication when one bouncer told us to leave and not come back, and then another told us to come back a minute later?? Really weird they kicked us out and not the guys that were touching my friends without their consent… I’ve heard of a lot of reviews from frequenters that the culture has become very cliquey and rude on the staff’s part. If you want a fun time, don’t go here…
I had the most beautiful night dancing.. I danced my heart away. Unfortunately all that dancing worked up a thirst. When I looked to a friendly bar person for a drink of water they asked me to mortgage my house just for a measly soda water. I love Blondies (in the literal sense, not the bar)
