We had the House Special Rice and "chicken" (vegan) chow mein, dumplings appetizer, and eggplant tofu w. satay sauce! It was delicious! All the "meat" is vegan, they do not use onion or garlic at all (so it's safe for folks with those allergies), and the workers are very nice (they gave us a complimentary dessert)! So glad to have a new vegan restaurant in our rotation! Would have taken more photos but it smelled so good we just wanted to eat lol
Amazing vegetarian restaurant which also doesn’t have garlic or onions in the food, for those who’re allergic! As it says- there’s no meat anywhere, but they do an incredible job on bringing out the flavor of the vegetables and using creative substitutes (ie, pumpkin for potatoes)
Great vegan/vegetarian dine in option we found in Chinatown! If you’re vegan or vegetarian it’s an amazing spot! Even if you’re not, may of your favorite Chinese meat based dishes are made vegetarian here! Other ones we tried didn’t have good space or were more for pickup, but this one offered a calm, laid back atmosphere where you didn’t feel rushed
On my recent trip to SF, I ordered twice from this place, the menu is extensive and the dishes were great. Being a vegetarian and having some dietary restrictions (Jain) this place was an amazing experience.
I highly recommend this restaurant. The food here is consistently excellent. I have dined in several times, and have taken out and gotten delivery many many times! I particularly love the Singapore noodles and the crispy chicken nuggets. But I have tried many items and they are all delicious.
We have a difficult time occasionally finding purely vegetarian and vegan options for food that we enjoy when we travel, and when we found the Google Maps listing for Enjoy Vegetarian, we wanted to try it. We're extremely glad that we did! The vegetable chow mein and the won ton soup were delicious, and the sesame balls were amazing!!! Everything was cooked to a perfect temperature to eat and still feel safe to serve, and for a Sunday afternoon, we were seated immediately even just walking in, which almost never happens. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the prices were very reasonable for the area. Definitely worth your time and money!
Beautiful mostly vegan and vegetarian Asian restaurant. Very lovely atmosphere as well as the FAST food. The till lady who served us however was not so nice. First off it’s good to remember the food industry is intense and difficult, especially in San Francisco. However, she was very rude and seemed to want us gone every step of the experience. It’s a lovely restaurant and I would HIGHLY recommend if you’re vegan or veggie, especially the wide range of options, but the attitude from her isn’t good. Also $17 average for dishes so not bad.
I love this place. It's my favorite go-to vegetarian restaurant. The food is delicious and it's paradise having so many vegan options. I love the sesame ball desert and the "pork" appetizer and then whatever dish I'm in the mood for. Very friendly staff and great tasting food. Highly recommend.
After multiple visits, I have very few complaints about this restaurant. The food is delicious, fresh, and fast. The only problems are that the menu is too big! So many options! And sometimes the wait staff can be a little slow when dining in, but the food comes out very quick (and hot) once you order. A good place for delivery or take out but the dining room does have cute decorations. Also it's all vegan except one item (walnut shrimp) which is clearly labeled on the menu ☺️ The wontons were very meh but the sesame balls are incredible and I highly recommend 73. Veggie Chicken Chow Mein w/ Black Pepper. Some of my favorite noodles I've ever had! 🍜 Edit: the string green beans with veg beef, #38, are amazing too! Also really enjoyed the sea bass with eggplant 🍆
Good vegan, no onion no garlic, restaurant. We tried curry fried rice and bean curd pouch which was tasty and filling. The restaurant also caters to some dietary requirements. We were also served hot jasmine tea which we thought was complimentary since we didn't order but they charged us $2. The tea is good and refreshing.
Absolutely excellent! Probably the best vegetarian food I’ve ever had in my life. Everything we had was amazing. Cannot wait to come back and try more. Service was good, however they receive 4 out of 5 for service since they were unwilling to help us seat all 8 of us together, even though it was not busy. Extra napkins would be nice.
I give this place 5 stars and am will to argue whoever gives anything lower than that. As far as vegetarian food goes, this is it. The Chinese have been perfecting this type of cuisine for hundreds of years and this place is a living demonstration how good it can be. Everything on the menu is vegetarian but most of the dishes mimic the taste and texture of some kind of meat. Such as prawn, BBQ pork, red braised beef, ducks, and others. Ps, back story being, the Chinese monks used to be rich and powerful, and therefore cooks worked really hard to serve them food that taste like meat but won’t break the taboos. This may not sound as hard, but trust me, it’s very difficult to make different texture with tofu, try it and you’ll see what I mean.
One of my fave vegetarian restaurants in sf! This was my first time eating at this location and had such a great experience. I came in on a Sunday night and found parking a few blocks away, plenty of street parking available and the restaurant wasn't busy. I loved how cozy the ambiance inside was and it was very clean. We ordered Veggie chicken chowmein(you can't go wrong with any of their chowmein dishes), Mongolian beef, drumsticks, and sea bass with eggplant, which all were 10/10. Note: they only serve soda for drinks and do not have a desert menu.
Honestly had an awesome time here grabbing dinner as a vegetarian. Actually, the entire menu is vegan except for a few options, which is insane. The flavors are amazing and each dish that’s usually made with meat are created with imitations that are genuinely better in taste and texture. I’m glad I stopped in for dinner and would love to come again if I’m ever in the area. If you’re a vegetarian or vegan who is looking for Chinese food, this is the place to go in SF!
My pescatarian daughter absolutely loved this restaurant and plans to bring her friends back. I, a meat eater, was a bit frustrated. Apparently, we were lucky to get a table because we arrived about 45 minutes before the (what seems very early to me) 8:15 closing time. Others were turned away, but the staff wasn’t very attentive and left several frustrated. It took a while for us to get attention for our drinks and food order. It is still a mystery to me if there is any fish or other meat served, or if everything is imitation meat. I didn’t want to risk it.
The food was good!! It was good to have a restaurant that focused only on vegan items and felt refreshing not to have to ask whether the sauces were vegan as well. The wonton hot and sour soup was the highlight of our meal. The steamed dumplings, singapore noodles were great as well!
Decent amount of seating. Mostly tables for four. Not very busy Wednesday at 12:30. Large menu selection though they didn't have fragrant crispy chicken anymore! My usual go to indicator, not very many Asians but likely not applicable here. Eggplant and string beans in black bean sauce with a side of rice. A bit salty for me. Nice enjoyable meal. SF pricing appropriate. I finished off the whole plate. Very extensive menu so plenty of future possibilities. Based on this meal I would try again.
The fragrant chicken (#5) appetizer was amazing. The food came incredibly fast as well. The prices were very reasonable for the area. We would come here again just for that appetizer. We weren't as big of fans of the other dishes we got but they were still flavorful (Mongolian beef main dish and fried duck appetizer).
The food is excellent, though a bit overpriced. The service is ok. Made a special trip to see the museum recently and swung by here to grab a couple of dishes on our way out to be rudely waved out the door, they closed for lunch some 20 minutes early. Shame, we'd have been quick, my kid was really disappointed, we went elsewhere. The last visit was around $120 for 3 people.
We have been to many faux meat / vegan places but the food here was just ok. We ordered steamed dumplings and vegetable chow mein. Dumplings were good, not super flavorful though. Chow mein was served with a big portion but was too oily. At last, we ordered spicy Ma Po Tufo which has a really thick, overly starched gravy, awful. The service is fast, but the overall flavor and taste need improvement. Staff did not seem warm and welcoming enough. It will be helpful to let the visitors know that the tea served at first is not complementary. Overall , the experience did not meet our expectations that we had framed from our experiences at other vegan places.
February 2025 - Amazing food! The decor and vibe of the place is pretty null but the food is what you’re there for. We ordered the Twice Cooked ‘Pork’ and the BBQ ‘Pork and ‘Ham’. Both were delicious. They do have tea they give you at the beginning and it’s automatically added a $1 per person to your bill, we found that out at the end. The food is pricey as well but the flavor and the portion size makes up for it. Would definitely be back. EDIT: November 2025 - Came back a few months later on our way down the coast. The service before wasn’t really great but it was something we could look past and I had left a 5 star review because the food and portion sizes were worth it. This time though, the moment we walked in we felt like we weren’t wanted? The lady seemed annoyed to take our order, stared us down the entire time eating, and she would come up and grab dishes as soon as she thought we were done. I paid for a side of rice to have with our main dish, she came and grabbed an empty plate and tried to take the rice dish while I still had rice in it? I had to ask for it back. The food is still great but I will also add the portion sizes are less than when we visited in February… Also the chow mein wasn’t as fried as before. Last two pics are the most recent visit.
They have no onion and garlic menu so it’s good that Jains can have one more option in SF downtown. The receptionist lady is super rude with tone and high pace voice . We came for the first time and not at all welcoming. After reading others review I can relate that. But I think they don’t care about the behavior because so many people left the same review but nothing changed. But food was good like you can go try once at least. Only 2 tables were occupied when we went for dine-in still service and behavior was too poor. And it’s bit expensive also.
I'll tell you what. In this day and age if you don't have my consent for something to consume at your restaurant and charge me, even if it's 1$, it's a strike. I didn't know the tea was 1$ and I didn't want it necessarily, but the waitress placed it and walked away and only after perusing the menu did I realize I was paying for it. Not cool. The food was alright. The options seem like a lot, but they are all deep fried tofu, gluten, or veggies. The Singapore style noodles would have made for good drunk food, but it wasn't packing any distinct flavors that made me light up. The golden basket, with a smorgasbord of fried stuff, looked good on arrival, but they all fell flat in taste. This place is definitely a comfort cuisine kinda place that you would crave late night after a few drinks, but I wouldn't come here for a gourmet experience.
Horrible service. The lady waitress is SO RUDE! Its unbelievable they charge so much for each item, min $15 and we have to get yelled by her for asking questions about a dish! The food is not tasty at all! I am vegan for over a decade and love other vegan restaurants in the bay area such as Wildseed for their very delicious food and great service. Dont waste your time & money here! Zero stars!!!
