We walked in on a Monday night and had a great experience. The food was all delicious and very high quality. We had the cauliflower soup, the arancini and the nduja pie. I’ve had their pizza before, and it’s becoming a favourite of mine in SF!

Went here for dinner on a Friday night, and was seated right away. Nice outdoor seatings with heat lamps. I ordered the funghi white pie pizza with added fennel sausage and gluten-free crust. It tastes so good. The Insalata Tricolored salad came with strips of thinly sliced parmesan cheese, and the grilled asparagus was perfectly cooked. The service was great!

Second pizzeria I tried in San Francisco, and second happy discovery! The pizzas are well prepared, the dough is properly cooked and the ingredients are tasty and look fresh. They also have a nice choice of beers. Tried an IPA, very good choice. We'll done guys!

Warm, mouth savoring flaky croissants softly shattering with each bite, buttery buttery butter and buttery!, airy center that tastes freshly pulled from the oven. The coffee cake is rich and comforting, with that melts into a perfectly moist crumb. Every pastry feels thoughtfully made, indulgent without being heavy. Service was fast with no wait at all, and parking was easy and stress-free. Truly some of the best baked goods the city has to offer.

Possibly a contender for the best bakery in San Francisco. Even though we got there late, their selection was quite extensive and people kept coming in. The items I got were delicious and the golden milk latte was much needed.

Jane The Bakery on Geary is an absolute gem and easily one of the best bakeries in SF. The bread is next-level—perfectly crusty on the outside, soft and flavorful inside. Their sourdough and multigrain loaves are staples, and they consistently nail both taste and texture. You can tell everything is made with care and serious skill. But it’s not just about the bread—the pastries and sweets are incredible too. The morning bun is a must-try (crispy, flaky, just the right amount of sweetness), and their croissants rival anything you’d find in Paris. They also offer some great gluten-free and healthier options that don’t sacrifice flavor. The savory items—like the sandwiches and focaccia—are equally worth the hype. Everything is super fresh, and the ingredients feel thoughtfully chosen. The space is clean and efficient, and the staff is friendly and fast, even when there’s a line (and yes, there's often a line—but it's worth the wait). If you love artisan baking and high-quality ingredients, Jane The Bakery is a must-visit. Truly 5-star worthy every time.

Walked to this cute bakery from Japan town. There are so many pastries and they are all amazing. I had the pistachio olive twist and latte which was not too sweet. The matcha and banana bread were also amazing. We got there at 10 right before the line got crazy but it would be worth the wait. The service is fast and there is seating outside as well as a cute park across the street.

Loved the vegan banana bread which was also gluten-free. In my opinion it could’ve had some chocolate chip or walnuts in it as well to add a bit more variety but it was delicious nonetheless! They also had a chocolate chip cookie, a snickerdoodle and a muffin which were vegan and gluten-free. I’ll be back to try the other options for sure

The best coffee I’ve had in San Francisco all month – hands down. Made on a La Marzocco machine, it’s smooth, rich, and absolutely worth stopping for. The oat cookie we tried? Unreal. Perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and just the right amount of chewy. The service was just as good as the coffee, with a super friendly and welcoming staff who made the experience even better. If you’re a coffee lover or just craving something delicious, this place is a must-visit.

The baked goods at Jane the Bakery are very tasty! There is so much selection of classic American, French and other baked goods. I bought a coffee twist and it reminded me of Viennese baked goods. This shop has a small ledge by the windows to eat at otherwise it is buy and go.

sf has a lot of competition when it comes to pastries and jane the bakery belongs up there in the s tier list. there’s a large variety of choices as long as you come before they sell out and something for everyone. coffee is whatever though, would go elsewhere for that. overall, top tier! blueberry muffin: one of my favorite muffins i’ve ever had, almost a mix of a carrot cake with blueberry muffin in the best way. not too sweet citrus morning bun: slightly bitter orange pairs well with the sweet bun. chewy and crispy. must try. maple pumpkin brioche: tbh didn’t taste the pumpkin at all but a perfectly executed cream filled bun. light and creamy but not too sweet. great texture from the nutty top. cardamom lattice bun: perfectly fluffy and cream filled. not too sweet!

Emma curated a diverse menu that included options for all dietary needs within our budget, ensured timely delivery, and assisted with the setup, making the entire process seamless. Everyone loved the food, and there was a tasty option for everyone! It was a delight to introduce our team to this local favorite. I can’t thank Emma and the Jane team enough—the food and service were truly outstanding.

I marked this place on my Google map because rumor has it, they have the best croissant in SF. Unfortunately they sold out at 10 AM when I was there today 3 PM on the first Saturday of September, 2023.😔😔😔 The staff said croissant sold out at 10 AM on Saturday. Even though I was disappointed, I still asked for recommendations from the staff, glad I did, because it's amazing. I have to tell you even though this is not the luxury type of cafe you expect them to be but under the unassuming store front unassuming packaging, each bite will blow your mind. So tasty. The thousand layer pie is so crunchy. And most importantly, they just know how to measure the right amount of sweetness. Now I know I have to be there around 10 AM to get the best croissant next time.

All around one of the best bakeries in SF! The variety and range of baked goods at Jane The Bakery is marvelous. I have tried about 10 different things here and still feel there is a lot more to try. What makes it even better: almost everything I tried was excellent. The viennoiserie is flaky with nice layers and textures, the scones and cakes are moist and puffy. Their breads and coffee are great too. My favorites are the Olive and Pistachio Twist and Vietnamese Coffee Twist, both have creative fun flavors that combine the savory and sweet taste profiles. Service was very friendly at Jane, though sometimes not very efficient. There is usually a line outside but I can justify ten minutes wait if I'll go home with a box of pastries that I never tried but know already that are delicious.

Pizzeria Delfina in San Francisco serves superb thin-crust pies that balance Neapolitan-style blistered dough with New York–inspired toppings, using very fresh, seasonal ingredients. The Margherita, mushroom pizza and creative specials are especially flavorful, with a light, crisp base that never feels heavy. Service is friendly, the vibe is cozy neighborhood-style, and it is absolutely worth a visit if you love quality Italian pizza and a relaxed atmosphere

Pizza is pretty soggy in the middle and crispy on the edges. I would say that the ingredients are fresh but I'm a full pizza guy and this was light on the toppings. Overall the quality of the crust and toppings were pretty tasty and flavorful. However the texture took it back a step. I got the sausage one and it was just a fancy pizza wearing overalls. It was so close to being great but the texture was not it. No draft beers so that was sad. 8.0/10 PS pro tip - sign up for both defina and the spot down the street for wait lists.

Relaxing environment with lots of natural light and friendly staff. Quick service. The pizza crust was ultra thin and crispy, the sauce very flavorful. The meatballs were moist inside and tasty. The sauce was a bit too salty.

Great coffee and tasty pastries — what more can you ask for? I dropped by Jane for a quick bite before work, and I was super impressed by the wide spread of pastries, ranging from the classics to creative and unique confections. I decided to get my go-to baseline — a chocolate croissant and cappuccino — and I was quite impressed overall! The croissant was buttery and flakey, and it had plenty of chocolate. If anything, it might have had slightly too much chocolate for my taste, since it was quite a bit sweeter than I’m used to, but that might be a controversial take. The coffee was also nice and nutty. The staff was super friendly and efficient — I was in and out within five minutes, which included my indecision at the counter — so it’s a great spot if you’re in a rush. There isn’t any indoor space to sit down, but there’s a standing counter along the window or a few communal booths outside that you can hang out at.

We were four people sharing different kinds of croissants — plain, chocolate, pain au raisin, and almond. My personal favorite was definitely the pain au raisin. We also had the prosciutto & burrata sandwich, which was amazing. The salad sandwich was packed with fresh ingredients, but the bread was a bit soggy and too soft, which took away from the overall experience. There was a long line and unfortunately no seating available, so we ended up eating in the park across the street. It would have been lovely to enjoy our coffee in ceramic cups instead of paper, if only there had been a place to sit. Still, everything tasted great and the quality was high.

I came for the croissants and stayed for the mini carrot cake. The butter croissant was flaky and crunchy and soft all at the same time. I loved this croissant out of all the ones I've tried during this trip. Worth stopping off. The carrot cake is great. Perfect for a follow up breakfast item. Moist, and the icing is the perfect amount. The candy pineapple on top is nice. If you're looking for breakfast to grab and go in the area. Come over here for a stop off.

The staff is friendly and professional, location is nice, food (meh). I felt like everything was missing "something". The salad needed a little brightness, tasted like lettuce with unseasoned avocado (a little lemon or vinegar was definitely needed). The burrata was bland and tasteless.... even the arugala and prosciutto needed salting or sauce or something.... It was all just kind flat. 2 of the 3 stars are for the friendly staff, 1 for the food.

First time to try this bakery because of the reviews. We got the Asia Chicken Salad, chocolate croissant and vanilla sprinkle cookies. They were all ok, nothing to rave about. The dressing of the salad was good. If you want a quick breakfast, this place is ok. Prices are on the expensive though (spent about $33 for just 3 items). We were not able to try their beverages because we brought our own. Maybe next time we can try their coffee.

When the meatballs came, we asked our server to order a side of spaghetti to put in, specifically "just the noodles," and we received what we thought was a side of spaghetti because it was genuinely just spaghetti with some red sauce that seemed like it was from a jar--nothing else. Imagine our surprise when the check came and this spaghetti alone was $25. I kid you not, it was SO small and plain, and I totally understand paying SF prices for food, but this was bottom of the barrel spaghetti!! The hostess who came to dispute our complaint kept saying "we don't do side orders" when we explained that we thought we were getting a side order of spaghetti--even though we, again, were never told we were getting a full order and specifically asked for a side order. She also kept saying "You ATE a FULL order" in a way that literally felt like I was being fat-shamed when the dish was the size of my fist and I didn't even finish it. It was so strange. The lack of communication and the attitude we were met with was honestly disappointing for an otherwise cute place.

we came for the cinnamon roll, and it was very dry, and underwhelming. not much cinnamon flavor, and the little it had was over powered with way too much icing. lemon cake was bland and not tart in the least. it was moist but again underwhelming. staff was helpful. no indoor seating. could use a fresh coat of paint and something else to give it some character. overall meh

Tried this place based on the high ratings but so disappointing. The pastry for he apple was thick and soggy, and the seasonal flan was terrible! Over baked all the way through! And it was a recommendation by the server too! The only positive was the availability of outside seating for dogs.

I'm extremely disappointed because I waited 40 minutes for my order and they brought me a burnt pizza. I reported it, they gave me another one, and by the time the second pizza arrived, I'd already been an hour without eating. The taste was disappointing, so I ended up ordering it to go. To top it all off, the cashier, with all due respect, was incredibly rude. I definitely won't be back. (When things aren't done with care and love, this is what happens.) I went home hungry and with less money haha ​​thanks

I visited Pizzeria Delfina today to pick up a DoorDash order, and the staff member who took my order asked to look at my phone. I found this very inappropriate and disrespectful — it made me feel like I was being treated as if I were a thief. What upset me even more was that an American customer before me was not asked to show or confirm anything, yet I was. This felt like a clear act of discrimination and racial bias. No one deserves to be treated differently or made to feel uncomfortable because of their background or accent. This kind of racist behavior should not be accepted in any workplace. I truly hope the management takes this issue seriously and ensures that all customers are treated equally and with respect.

San Francisco customer service rears its ugly head yet again. My son had a basketball game across the street and I popped into this place for a coffee. I have celiac disease and was not even thinking of buying anything to eat until I noticed they had a separate gluten-free section. When a woman took my order I asked if the items were okay for celiacs because the pastries and bread looked so good. The woman looked at me with such disdain it took me aback. She said “a celiac shouldn’t even even be in here.” I asked if I could order a coffee or if that would kill me. She said they make these items for the poor gluten intolerant folks of the world (which is mostly BS - you have IBS people!) but honestly this amounts to false advertising. I would have purchased something for my family members but after that they lost my business. Later I saw the women roll her eyes at me. My company routinely orders breakfast from this place and I will advise them to stop. Customer service matters - be kinder to people even if you think your customers are annoying (which I was not).
