Great food, decent everything else. Jan/26 update: The meals are still lovely, although I noticed they changed their menu and it no longer includes the pancake I had previously which I was sad about. Ended up going next door to Heist a few more times because of that. One more note, this time there was an incense burning when I entered. This is far too strong scent for a restaurant, may be better not using it.
Fresh and beautiful dishes! Nice interior. Huge portions so be ready to leave some if you’re not a big eater like me. Coffee was a bit weak. Big menu so there’s something for everyone
Cute spot. Wasn’t too busy on a Friday night. Delicious pad Thai and skewers. Excellent service and fun location.
My husband and I came here on a Saturday morning around 10:30 and got a table right away. The staff was so friendly and the lattes and food were amazing. I can’t think of anything I would change about this place and I hope we get to try it again next time we visit San Francisco. 10/10. I had the Thai Panang omelette and it was like a cup of beef curry wrapped in egg. It was just the right amount of spicy and sweet. Reminded me of Khao soi which is my favorite Thai dish. The dressing on the salad was perfection and the potatoes were just a little crispy and so light and airy. My husband got the chicken and waffles and it was by far the best we’ve ever tried. The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy. And the drinks are so cute and delicious. Don’t hesitate to try this place out.
Cozy corner cafe offering excellent menu of traditional favorites BUT you come here for the Thai inspired menu items. I had the Thai Panang omelette and was one of best omelettes I’ve ever eaten. Flavorful. Colorful. The beef was tender. The vegetables were crispy. The sauce was exquisite and the presentation was first rate. I don’t have a critical thing to say about this dish. If you like spicy and bursting flavors, it’s a must have.
This spot offers a small but quaint and friendly atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed meal. The menu is an interesting blend of Thai and American fusion, and the food was both tasty and reasonably priced. We especially enjoyed their specialty drinks—though they had a bit more ice than I would have preferred, they were still refreshing and flavorful. The service was excellent: friendly, quick, and efficient. Even though I arrived a few minutes past the breakfast special cutoff (10 a.m.), they kindly accommodated my request to order from the special menu and even replaced my previous order. While they initially forgot to remove the original item from the bill, they promptly corrected it without any hassle. Overall: Great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely return whenever I’m in town.
Lapisara Eatery is a charming spot for a flavorful and healthy breakfast or brunch. The tofu scramble was excellent, and the Thai scramble eggs were incredibly aromatic and packed with curry flavor — so delicious. Everything tasted fresh, nourishing, and thoughtfully prepared. A wonderful place to enjoy a healthy meal, and definitely one I’d return to.
Consistently really good. As a local, the brunch is one of my absolute favorites in the city. Think regular brunch items with a Thai influence. Must have items are the chicken & waffles, the panang omlette, and the tom yum burrito. Also, the ube latte is delicious and so cute. The restaurant is family ran and the staff is incredibly nice and friendly. They also have bottomless mimosas.
First time visit as we were actually headed for a nearby establishment. We walked by and saw the menu out front, the cheery interior and decided to give it a try. We lucked out on a weekend (arrived early) and were seated without a wait. The staff was warm and welcoming. Food came fast. The variety on the menu was impressive and I loved the Thai additions. Other than my Thai sausage being a bit gristly, everything was great. The flavor of the sausage added a nice variation on the regular breakfast fare found elsewhere. The lattes were adorable and post worthy in themselves. Agree with other reviewers that the ube latte is beyond cute, if sweet drinks are not for you, opt for a regular or matcha latte. The proprietor (or Management?)came to our table to check in which is always a nice touch. We are really happy with this serendipitous stop for breakfast. Don’t think twice about it, just go.
My wife and I came to Lapisara Eatery for brunch and were blown away by how good everything was — truly one of the best brunches in San Francisco! We split the steak and eggs, and it did not disappoint. The steak was cooked perfectly and came with a miso butter that was to die for. The side salad had an incredible sesame dressing, and the potatoes were perfectly crisp and seasoned. To top it off, my wife’s coffee came in an adorable teddy bear glass — such a cute touch that fit the cozy, welcoming vibe of the place. Everything about this meal was spot on — the food, the flavors, the atmosphere. Couldn’t have asked for a better Sunday morning spot!
Had a wonderful brunch with a good friend on this first visit. I ordered their iced lavender latte, whole milk, no whip, and was pleasantly surprised to find an iced bear as a garnish. 🐻 For my meal, I ordered the Farmer’s Classic with no protein. It was delicious! I’m sure the added protein would have been great as well. My friend ordered the Ube Iced Latte with oat milk and yes to the whip cream. 😅 overall, a lovely place to catch up with a friend with yummy lattes.
This is my go-to brunch spot in San Francisco. Their Asian fusion menu features delicious options like chicken and waffles, a tom yum burrito, and more. My favorite drink is the ube latte with whipped cream—sweet, creamy, and satisfying. The dishes are flavorful and generously portioned, making it a perfect way to kick off the weekend. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Just a heads-up: the line can get long for weekend brunch, so it’s best to book in advance or arrive a bit early.
Ooh la la! Great discovery! It wasn't too busy, which makes me wonder if people are just missing out. It wasn't the weekend but with it being summer I would think there would be a lot of tourists here. The food was delish and the service was very pleasant! The drinks were very interesting, and the taste was impressive. The chicken and waffles, while not spicy or over seasoned were very good. And crispy outside and juicy inside. It wasn't on the bone but had plenty of flavor. Chicken eggs Benedict, awesome! While a bit on the higher end, worth the splurge for one day for breakfast. The pictures do this place justice!!
While we were in the city, we decided to stop by Lapisara Eatery for a nice brunch and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. This cozy little corner spot has a chill vibe, street views, and a solid brunch menu. The food came out quick, looked amazing, and tasted just as good. I had the best Belgian waffles I’ve ever had crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside. They also had a great selection of lattes and a decent drink menu, which made the whole experience even better. Everything tasted fresh, the service was smooth, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. If you're visiting San Francisco and want a brunch spot that really hits the mark, this is one you definitely need to check out.

Great friendly and kind service. Happy to celebrate a friend's birthday here. We'll be coming back!

We visited this restaurant for a breakfast based on good TA reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The service was amazing, food delicious, coffee just like I love it, a small cappuccino.
Visited Lapisara on Saturday for brunch. Despite the line outside, we were seated quickly. Tried the Crab Omelette and Chili Bomb Basil Omelette - both excellent! Really interesting take on breakfast with authentic Thai flavors. Much more exciting than typical American brunch options. The Ube Latte was beautifully presented in a very cute cup, but unfortunately too sweet for our liking. Service was attentive and professional throughout our meal. Recommended for anyone looking to try something different for brunch. The Thai-style omelettes are definitely worth the visit.
Pleasant restaurant with their fried chicken being my favorite. The waffles were soft for my liking. I prefer crisp to my waffle. The dunginess crab benedict plate was solid. The potato combination and salad were great compliments to the benedict. The benedict itself was better with the potatoes too add savoriness to the meal. The matcha latte topped with whipped cream and an matcha ice formed bear, salted caramel Irish cream, and espresso macchiato were all recommendable. The service is okay. If I were to recommend a must try, it would be a plate to your liking with fried chicken. The selling point is the amazing fried chicken.

This is not a Thai restaurant. It’s a brunch place with a few uninteresting rice dishes that are labeled as ‘fried rice’ but they bring you steamed rice. The food is mediocre and expensive.

We tried this place for brunch when traveling in San Francisco. The street had construction going on so it is very noisy and dusty. The brunch is just ok - pricey and not worth it. The Thai sausage is very dry, chewy and rubbery. The chai latte I got is served in a very cute glass but it is a bit too sweat. Maybe the glorifying online review is mostly based on lunch/dinner.
