Mellow Coffee

I was paralyzed from the waist down for 15 years, today I got up and walked for the first time after trying and iced vanilla latte. Thank you Mellow Coffee for changing my life! I am healed and going to run my first triple marathon all thanks to this lovely place and the barista Juice. (ok this story isn't real but the coffee is bomb).

Got a vanilla iced latte from Hannah and she was wonderful. The drink was great & her conversation/energy was amazing. Truly a great spot to get a coffee on Haight.

I had such a great experience at the Mellow on Haight st. Jen was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable in helping me pick out the perfect plant as a gift! I was able to get exactly what I needed. I also tried their coffee while I browsed and it was fantastic! It was such a nice touch to the whole visit. The shop itself is stunning. The interior design is so thoughtfulness curated, from the warm lighting to the earthy textures and greenery everywhere. Definitely its own little sanctuary in the middle of the city. Highly recommend stopping by The Mellow if your looking for a special gift, a new plant, or just a relaxing place to sip coffee and unwind.

Juice was my barista and they were so dedicated to taking my order even though they were literally “crying” because of their new moisturizing spf cream was burning their eyes. I appreciated the fact that they still attempted to take my order but i just told them i can wait and that i don’t care about my coffee i care about their eyesight. After they took my order i went to sit outside and started journaling and they even handed me my drink. Loved the service, everyone was so kind and understanding 💌

If you're looking for a place to pull out your laptop and work, I suggest that you find another place. There's no WiFi and something is refreshing about going to a café and not being surrounded by people pounding away on their laptops. To be fully transparent, I've been working in tech for over 35 years. The place is clean, and the staff is very pleasant. There's even an old fashioned barber shop upstairs. I highly recommend Mellow Coffee and plan on going again when I'm working in the area again.

This shop is a whole mood. The coffee is smooth and comforting the kind you want to linger over and stay a while. Jen, I believe her name was...helped me pick out the perfect plant and you can feel her touch in the space. The interior design is on point, cozy, and full of personality. What I love most is the vibe — welcoming, minority-owned energy, LGBT-friendly. It feels safe, open, and genuinely community-minded. If you’re in the area, this place is a must. It’s more than a shop… it’s an experience. 🪴

A talented barista named Hannah made my latte (insane latte art skills) and I enjoyed it while perusing the bountiful plant section and contemplating a fresh cut at their attached barber section! This place is definitely worth a stop by if you’re on Haight St!

This place is just exquisite. The interior is so airy and fresh (lush plants galore) and the coffee is excellent. I love that they have guest seating now! I had one of the fall iced lattes and my barista Colly was so friendly and funny. I’m kind of an idiot with all plants that aren’t pothos but this place makes me feel ambitious! A must visit on Haight.

The coffee is delicious and made with care, and the whole vibe of the shop is chill and welcoming. Plus, the plants and decor make it such a beautiful, aesthetic spot to hang out while I sip my drank. Definitely one of my favorite coffee shops in the city

This place turned me onto my favorite drink right now, an espresso tonic (non-alc!) cocktail. The best vibes in here - cool well-curated plants, helpful staff, and occasional music performances if you watch the events calendar if you get lucky. It’s a neat combo of concepts that probably only works in a city like ours run by people who love what they do. Locally owned and family run with gift ideas galore. There’s a barber shop tucked in upstairs, too, if you need a fresh cut (I’ve had KG clean up my beard and make me look presentable when I was rocking one). I stop by whenever I’m on the street because there’s always something to check out.

Obsessed with their new fireside orange latte!! The music is always so chill. Love looking at the all the plants. Really nice atmosphere to sit and catch up with friends. Super calm and relaxing, especially on weekdays 🪴☕️

Amazing addition to the Haight. Best coffee in the area hands down. Baristas are very nice and welcoming. The music and vibes make it a must stop. Bring a book, grab a table and enjoy the ambiance.

There is signage asking that customers not stay longer than 30 mins.....kind of a weird thing to post in a Plant Store....I mean a coffee shop......barbershop? Whatever it is. They have $7 nonalcoholic aperitif. So there's that.
