I love this place! I’ve been here a few times now and every time it’s fantastic. This is one of 2 places in the city with gluten-free naan and in my opinion is the best. The staff are so friendly and even brought us chai on the house after our meal today :) I highly recommend!

I went for a birthday dinner celebrating my partner and we were a food sensitive, time restrictive, six person loud group. Rose's has an extensive vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free menu! They boasted that almost any vegetarian curry could be made vegan and they were very clear about dishes that didn't contain gluten or cross contamination. We ordered a lot of food and dishes, had a few people order late due to traffic, and watched the restaurant go through what we later learned was 120 orders between take out and dine in. We had to leave about an hour in and hadn't gotten food aside from appetizers so the host allowed us to convert things to take out and come back for them later. They were so understanding and we were expecting push back but they were incredibly apologetic. We came back about 2 1/2 hours later and our food was hot, they let us have a table again, they even remade the naan and let us take home the extras! Then they brought out free rice pudding as a thank you for patience (which we totally didn't expect because we were the ones being inconvenient) and then when we sang happy birthday to my partner they quickly brought out vegan ice cream with a candle and sang! Above and beyond, a night we won't forget and hospitality that came from extremely passionate people. Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness and patience with our big birthday group <3. We split the bill between four people and it was only about $40-$50 each which is absolutely so shocking for the volume of food we ate! Everything was delicious, their specialty naan are all wonderful, and they've got some excellent fusion items too. Go outside your normal order for this place; you'll be absolutely amazed.

This family run Indian restaurant has become my go-to spot in San Francisco, and it truly is the best I’ve found in the city. After trying many different places over the years, this is the one I always return to. Most people are surprised when I tell them the chicken chow mein here is incredibly good. I never expected to prefer chow mein from an Indian restaurant over a Chinese one, but I genuinely do. Whenever I crave it, this is the only place I want it from because it’s consistently delicious. I usually order the butter chicken, the lamb curry, and a side of garlic naan. The portions are generous, and one of my favorite things about eating here is knowing I’ll almost always have leftovers for the next day. The food reheats beautifully, so it’s like getting a bonus meal. I recently brought my mom here while she was visiting from out of town, and she said it was the best Indian food she has ever had. My grade school aged child also loves this place and calls it his favorite restaurant, which says a lot. The owner is always kind and welcoming, and you can really feel the personal care that comes with a truly family run spot. If you’re looking for reliably great Indian food in San Francisco, this is the place I recommend every time.

One of the best Indian restaurants in the city! We frequent this location on a regular basis and it never fails to disappoint. The food is delicious, the portion sizes are generous, and the cost is so reasonable. They have wonderful vegan options like tofu saag, coconut vegetable curry, and padina paratha, which are very delicious. The owners are incredibly kind and generous people. The ambience is very nice as well. This is a great date night spot, or friend hangout spot.

The waiter is very confident in his craft. Great service and clean establishment. They did forget our mango lassi, probably because the waiter doesn’t write anything down, but the GF naan, prices, and flavorful dishes make up for it. I’ll def be coming back!

My favorite Indian takeout. I absolutely love their Chili Chicken Momo's - such great flavors. The Butter Chicken is awesome as well - ordering it spicy should only be done if your tolerance is very high.

One rainy afternoon, me and 10 boys came in to try to get some good food. We were able to be seated on one long line of tables very quickly and ordered food and drinks. The food comes out soon enough and it was delicious. The serving sizes are quite nice. I ordered the chicken biryani but maybe next time I'll get the tandoori chicken or chicken masala because those seem more saucy or flavorful. The naan breads are huge and very fresh. Definitely a return for me. Enjoy!

Great Indian restaurant with a fantastic papadum. If you order it with an entree, you can use its excellent dipping sauces with the whole meal. The Chicken Biryani is huge, with loads of spicy chicken. The Tandoori Chicken was really large as well, and pretty good, but I think it’d be better in the restaurant than delivered.

I do apologize I forgot the name of all these delicious dishes. If you are in the area it is a must try. The food was so taste and the service was amazing. The worker was alone and he still managed to get all our dishes out in a timely manner. I will most definitely come back to this restaurant when we are in the area.

Lamb is great, but the tri-tip is very tough.

We got our Lamb & Chicken Kebab plates to go, salad with fresh, hummus and seasoned rice. Very flavorful. Best falafel we have had in a long time!! Will definitely be back again to try more dishes.

We over ordered. We got the thali for 2 and an extra order of dumplings. The starters got us too full to enjoy the curries. Didn't like the old smell I got when I entered the restaurant, but I did get used to it after a while.

Got delivery. Food was ok. Prices were great for the area, not sure who is complaining on here about that. Sampler plate was solid. Salads decent but nothing special. Chicken schwarma was the worst I've ever had. Dried out, hard and bland. Clearly had been sitting out warming for who knows how long. Probably won't get it again, there is better Mediterranean in the neighborhood.

Food's pretty meh. Quite cold. Lady at the reception was nice. Would not recommend for the price though.

it's been a couple years since I went to this restaurant and the food was not as good as it was before. the chicken tikka masala had this weird flavor like they use powdered milk or powdered cream or something and it tasted kind of cheesy. the tomato that they used for it also seems like it's canned and not fresh and I did not taste any fresh tomatoes in it. I make chicken tikka masala myself at home and my version tastes a thousand times better than this restaurant's version and only cost a fraction of the price. the portions of spices they used in the tikka masala was not correct and it was also not cooked long enough to allow the spices to get into the sauce. the salmon tandoori was overdone. it was all black on the outside when they delivered it. aside from that the inside was really dry and the fish was not fresh. the onions had the right flavoring but they were missing the garam masala sauce that goes over the actual fish so the whole meal was kind of dry. the lamb chops was actually done okay even though it was also overdone and black on the outside. they had onions and lemon at the bottom for favoring. the biryani rice was cooked to the right consistency but it was pretty plain to me. the only dressing they did with it was putting a few peas on the top. usually at other restaurants they spice up their biryani rice and it tastes a lot better. I'm just glad they at least cook the rice to the right consistency. the papadum was actually done okay. you can't really go wrong with papadum. although the waiter did forget about my second order of papadum but it was okay because they let us have it for free. I also drank a mango drink but I feel like they added some extra stuff into it because it was really thick and tasted kind of chalky, they put some kind of filler in it in order to give it more volume. I do not recommend the drink. I didn't really have any of the naan but judging by the fact that my family did not want to take it home I feel like it was not very good. the consistency of the naan was anywhere from thin to thick. it reminded me more of a pizza crust than naan. the service was pretty good though the waiters kept asking us if we needed anything and asking us how we were. there was no polite way of communicating to them the quality of the food while we're eating there, less chance of them messing with our food. the restaurant is kind of empty at the moment so you can probably find seats but most people order out, I think my family counted about 30 people getting take out while we ate there.

We decided to try this place. From the moment we walked in until we left a woman who maybe owned or managed the place was talking very loud on the phone non stop . The poor server rushed our food that was heavily fried and not fresh out and kept disappearing. The falafel plate had 4 very stale heavily fried falafel on a bed of mayonnaise soaked cabbage . The server was very sweet but the food, ambiance, rudeness of the manager/owner was awful.
