Delicious Mexican food, fast service and their outdoor seating is pretty isolated to dine out during the pandemic. Papito is easily among the top Mexican restaurants in the city. Highly recommended trying the tacos and Quesadillas.

Solid experience here. Quality Carne Asada Super Burrito. Free chips and salsa. Not cheap $20.64 before they ask for a to go tip

The Al pastor quesadilla here was absolutely fire. Enjoyed the three different salsas on the table.

I don’t say this lightly… this is THE best Mexican spot in SF. I would say even the bay. The beans and rice are perfectly cooked, savory and not soggy. Their salsas are amazing. The highlight is the yuca. It is scrumptious. I have been to most Mexican places in Frisco and you would be wasting your time going anywhere else.

Super delicious. The food tasted amazing and the place had a great vibe. Usually I want to add more hot sauce or salsa to taco salads, but this was perfect as is. Super affordable for a sit-down place. 10/10

Everything I tried so far at Papito Potrero was delicious and portions are amazing! We do take out from here often, from guacamole to giant burritos to pozole soup, all amazing! Highly recommend for dine-in also, with full bar, cocktails are great.

This place was amazing! I was in a party of 3 and we all had tacos. I got the carne asada tacos and these were amazing. The portions fit 1 person each. I got two tacos filled to the brim. These wee packed with flavor and were so good. I also got a shirley temple it was perfect. This place was recommended on the Michelin guide in 2018 and I can see why! The only issue with third place is that it’s a bit pricey, with the cheapest options being $13 and most of the stuff is around $20, but it is SF so that is expected. I will definitely be coming here again, this place exceeded my expectations by a lot!

Cocktails were good not exceptional but their burrito is a star. Staff was nice and the vibe was really chill too.

Stopped by after dropping off a friend at airport. Guacamole 🥑 was fresh with great added flavor. The shrimp 🍤 enchilada WOW. Amazing flavors that cream was over the top. The only thing I didn’t like what the too tall stools lol 😂 don’t you hate that!

The only entree that I didn't enjoy was their fajitas, they were under seasoned and lacked flavor. Definitely have to order the calamari, that red sauce is soo good 😁. The Al Pastor torta was packed with flavor and the fried chicken nachos were different in a good and delicious way. Service was good, but keep in mind that the restaurant is on the small side so there may be a bit of a wait for larger parties. Definitely coming back again!

Everything we tried was really good, we were all impressed. We ate here twice during our 3-day stay in San Francisco. The staff was also very kind! We will be returning!

Chicken Fajitas (white meat) are outstanding!! And trust me on this one , I’ve been too hundreds of placing in search for good fajitas , and this one is definitely in my top 2 , try it try it. You will love it. Restaurant is located in a little funky neighbourhood, go and explore it.

This is a colorful and vibrant Mexican Cantina with Subtle French influence and an emphasis on well presented, organic Mexican dishes. Recommended if you're looking for a sit down Mexican fare that tastes upscale but has more of a local authentic vibe. A huge plus here is the friendly service, the abundant and safe parking, and the amazing food. Free chips and 3 salsas is also a bonus! I highly recommend their margaritas as well as the short rib tacos. We were blown away by the braised short rib tacos as they were absolutely perfect. It also appears that the fajitas here are worth ordering. The servers were passing these out left and right and the smell of fire grilled steak and vegetables filled the restaurant. It was really a great experience. Highly recommended if you want a casual vibe and amazing food but want something a little more inviting and healthy than your typical Bay Area taqueria.

Enjoyed the vegetarian options. The quesadillas were one of the best I've ever had, and were loaded with veggies. The enchiladas and queso fundido were also good. I got the enchiladas with both red and green salsa but I liked the green more. The portions are quite large and those three items is excess for 2.

Excellent Mexican food. They start you with three salsas and chips, which are delicious. I had a carnitas super burrito, also very good. Friendly staff and a very attractive interior. They have a full bar as well. Definitely the place to for Mexican classics if you're on the north side of Protrero Hill.

The duck meat torta I had was amazing, my wife didn't like the grilled chicken wet burrito she ordered, it I thought it was really good. I recommended her to get a chicken torta to go, and she loved that. My son also got a beef torta which he loved too. Try the torta, you won't be disappointed.

Ordered two tacos: fried chicken and short rib. Both were filled generously with protein and cabbage. The fried chicken was not super crispy but still delicious nonetheless. Our table also received complimentary chips with 3 dips. Only critique is that the food took a while to arrive.

The food is hit or miss. Hints of tacolicious but w cheaper ingredients. Drinks are good, w a happy hour menu. Food is so so and feels overpriced. The chips and salsa are great. Skip the chicken. The torta is ok, coleslaw has way too much mayonnaise. Their fusions don’t really hit. the classic torta is better. Their tacos use cheap gmo tortillas. Pozole is ok, didn’t finish it. I would say stick to the steak and you’ll get the best of them. But still, there’s better out there. Long are the days of la Palma organic tortillas, I miss their food from those days. This is a good place for drinks and appetizers. Try Gilbert’s for Latin fusion down the street. PH doesn’t have good Mexican.

Papito Restaurant offers delicious Mexican food, though I was disappointed to find they didn’t have a veggie torta, which is what I was looking for. I opted for the cheese enchiladas instead. Came in for a quick snack, and ordered some guac. Some of the worse guacamole I've had, IDK how you mess it up so bad. No salt, seasoning or flavor, just mush 🤢 Tastes just like store bought stuff that's been sitting around for weeks

Lovely and fun interior, cheerful music, food is great but I found the fajitas a bit on the salty side and tacos could be a tad more flavorful. One thing to note is that the service is very slow perhaps due to shortage of working staff, budget for enough time if you are on a tight timeline.

We had a party of 8 ask for a table at 5:35 on Saturday, got seated by 5:55, but then the actual entrees did not come out until after 7. Two of our group had to leave by 7 so they canceled their orders, and the person who brought their food out cursed when we told him (not at us but generally). Also, they ran out of sangrias (their most popular drink) by 6 on a Saturday! which was disappointing.

Looks good, but we unfortunately had to leave as we were sitting there for a bit and realized no one had came to take our order. It was a Thursday night and they were packed with what looked like only a couple people working so I don’t fault them too much. If we had time to kill we would have stayed but we had a show to get to unfortunately. +1 for the chips and salsa.

We did take out and everything was soggy. Quesadillas re-crisping efforts in a frying pan worked ok, “crunchy” tacos could not be salvaged. And queso fundido was like eating solid cheese, looks and tastes nothing like fundido should. I think that item was the most disappointing.

They didn’t not process my DoorDash and blamed it on a user error when it was a restaurant error. I asked for them to throw in a flan bc of the extra wait time, they did not and said it was not their fault. The burrito was bland. The salsa was scares. Not happy with my experience here.
