Incredible food at a great price. A hidden gem in the neighborhood! Cute restaurant full of plants, great place to sit down and eat. I love their salads, sandwiches and soups. Fresh and high quality ingredients. And no, the neighborhood is not dangerous lol. You're in the middle of the San Francisco suburbs.

There's a lot of good restaurants in this area. The Salad Place has been on my list to try for a while. The restaurant was empty at 1:30pm. They were out of corned beef. Instead, I ordered a pastrami sandwich on dutch crunch $12.50 and a large soup of the day, which was chicken noodle (Wednesday) $9. The food came out quick. My sandwich came out warm. If given the option, I would have preferred cold. It was a good sandwich. Next time, I'll skip the pickles & pepperoncinis. It added a pickled tangy taste. The sandwich came with a little side salad with Italian dressing. The highlight was the chicken noodle soup. Clearly, it was made in-house from scratch with chunks of chicken, mushy vegetables, herbs and a wide pasta type noodle. It was a hearty soup. Service was excellent. I was in and out within 30 minutes for lunch. Perfect for the 30 minutes metered parking outside. Free wifi if you ask the clerk for the password.

Another review mentioned that this place is a gem and I couldn’t agree more! This spot is nestled in the Excelsior and offers a truly charming place to grab coffee and a bite. The people who work here are awesome, it’s always clean, and the ingredients are fresh. Great place to stop after a long walk at McLaren Park :)

Let me start by saying this: I just had the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten (BBQ beef with provolone) and it was made right here. I’ve don’t ever remember saying in any other review “this is the best ____ I’ve ever had” before. Today is the first. This is a beautifully done small corner café. Locally owned. The menu is very complete and there are lots of healthy options as well as sandwich comfort food. They have 1 liter Mexican cokes in glass bottles in the cold case. The service, the food and the atmosphere are perfect. If you want a sandwich or a nice salad, don’t go anywhere else.

Best quality breakfast sandwiches on the block! They're well sized so you come out with a happy belly. My partner and I came here on a Sunday morning and were greeted by a friendly staff which is always a plus. We loved the sandwiches and will definitely be coming back! Pro tip: add onions and green peppers, and ask for chipotle mayo

This place is OUTSTANDING!! a perfect example of clean eating. The menus is composed of endless healthy hearty selections blended by American and Latin American culture. Salads, same,Tortas , all served with fresh made fruit juices, fresh fruit and of course Coffee .. latte or expresó anyone ?

Seriously good sandwiches! Ordered their avocado lovers sandwich through Uber Eats (they operate under the name Oscar’s Bagels and Breakfast Wraps), and it was exactly what I needed to cure my hangover! Perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, and delicious bread. Iced coffee was also great.

I was so glad I finally got to try this place! Lots of healthy choices and ready made salads with endless varieties! I LOVE how cold they keep the salads because it makes them taste so fresh and good!! It’s a quick in and out deli and The ladies were so kind and welcoming and the food was SO good and I’m picky with deli food! I’ll be back to try their breakfasts and there sandwiches - such a gem that is tucked away, if you are looking for delicious and healthy homemade food this is the place! Here’s what I got (and EVERYTHING tasted so good and so healthy!) Green salad topped with cheese tortellini quinoa salad chicken salad and cucumber salad Tuna salad side and ended up going back for MORE chicken salad and cucumber salad for lunch the next day!

I love the customer service. They treat you like your family. The ordering process was very fast. The food was delicious warm and had a great presentatiand the atmosphere was calm and inviting I will return. With the rest of my family.

Vibey neighborhood joint ~ Cozy, welcoming, nice staff. The bacon, egg, and cheese bagel, while delicious; was a bit small in portion for the $12 price tag. Otherwise, a great spot, will be back

The neighborhood is so scary and dangerous that it made me scared to go pick up my DoorDash order. They forgot to notify me that my food was ready. I ordered a bagel with lox and home fries. The fries didn't look good, but they tasted okay. However, the lox didn't taste or smell good at all, so I decided not to eat it.

Super pricey, practically no parking, sub par food. My bean salad was so saturated in balsamic that I could not finish it - and I LOVE balsamic! It was like a soup of balsamic with some beans in it. The bagel was good, but making a bagel and cream cheese doesn't require much skill. She did give me a free bit of pasta salad since the bean salad was tough to eat, which took this from 2 to 3 stars for me. The windows are very dirty which blocks a decent view. The place is very loud with conversation. There are newspapers sitting next to the front door with Excelsior crime plastered across the front page. Very small and crowded with unappealing décor. Their drink fridge was obviously missing a ton of stuff... To be fair, the staff was incredibly nice. It makes me feel bad leaving a negative review, but I seriously would not come back here.
