Avaliações de Tratto San Francisco
Friendly, attentive service. I was told All of the pasta is homemade! Menu says sauces are homemade. Made from scratch is important. A great Italian option in the area.
Had a four course meal that was amazing. All of the food was fantastic and cooked to perfection. Service was accommodating to special requests and attentive.
Tratto is one of those rare San Francisco restaurants that truly stands the test of time (over 10 years, survived the pandemic). The pappardelle and gnocchi were absolute stars, perfectly cooked and full of flavor, the kind of dishes you keep thinking about after the meal is over. I’m already excited to come back and try the salmon next. And in this neighborhood especially, having a spot like Tratto really matters, I was happy to see it was still open. It’s dependable, delicious, and always delivers a great experience!
Italian food never disappoints. Exquisite food, phenomenal staff and all within the perfect setting to enjoy a nice dinner. We opted for the Formaggi & Affettati which was a beautiful spread to showcase their cured meats, the immaculate Sogliola Piccata and lastly the Controfiletto paired beautifully with a Frank Family Cabernet. Each dish was perfectly made and I wish we could have stayed longer for dessert but that will have to wait for next time. And I hope no one takes this as a complaint as it was a very happy surprise but their cocktails were delicious and STRONG, glad I can count on someone to make a nice cocktail with a heavy hand.
Excellent Italian restaurant in The Marker Hotel. We had calamari with shrimp, Cesar salad, lasagna and pan fried sole with fingerling potatoes and asparagus. Waitress was a bit flaky, but food wonderful. Highly recommended!
When travelling solo, I often skip restaurants as dining alone doesn’t quite feel the same, opting instead to eat on the go. However, I decided to give Tratto a try – and I’m glad I did. It’s quickly become my go-to spot during my short stay in San Francisco. The food has been absolutely outstanding. I’ve had the meatballs and the steak on separate occasions, and both were sublime. On one occasion, the chef personally served my dish, which I thought was a lovely touch. I have to give special mention to Alexandra, who was my server on all three visits. She was nothing short of amazing – going above and beyond to make sure I was well looked after. Her wine and food recommendations were spot on every time, and she was a delight to chat to, even offering some great tips on places to visit in the area. It’s impossible not to like her. Carlos was also excellent, as was the general manager, with whom I had a brief but pleasant conversation. A fantastic spot – you won’t be disappointed by either the food or the service.
Amazing food! My family and I visited this restaurant during our trip to SF and we all loved it! It’s a nice, family-friendly restaurant in the Tenderloin. The food was absolutely delicious and our server was great! I had their pepperoni pizza, calamari, and Prosecco. No complaints from anyone in my group. It was a great experience, and we’d all go again.
This was a lovely experience :) There was free coffee and tea offered, delicious. The french toast was delicious with the syrup and the bacon was great. I loved the hot chocolate!! It came with a cute cow to pour milk in it and was so cute! The ambience was so calm and welcoming, and our waitress was very kind and attentive to us. This place was great!
After a long travel day, we were starving and wanted something close to our hotel. We didn’t research, just picked the closest place. We started our meal with the focaccia and the meatballs. Both were absolutely fantastic. For our main course we ordered the pappardelle pasta and the pizza with prosciutto, roasted grapes, arugula, balsamic, and goat cheese. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you this was the best pasta and pizza I have ever had - and I consider myself well pretty well traveled. The service was great, the drinks were strong. I don’t know how this place doesn’t have 5 stars.
So happy they re opened. The food here is great and the cocktails off the menu are even better. They feel very COVID safe and the tables were spaced well. The double dolce cocktail was not too sweet and actually pretty refreshing. The fried prosciutto roses with the fried chicken appetizer were a nice touch. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The desserts were so hard to choose from so luckily we got all three
Nice food and atmosphere, but very poor service. Tratto has a pleasant environment and the food itself is good, but unfortunately the service really took away from the experience. We first tried room service for breakfast, and it was honestly painful—the person we spoke with sounded in a very bad mood, which immediately set a negative tone. We decided to give it another chance and went for dinner, but the experience was even worse. We sat at the bar, and while there was a large Christmas party going on, the staff seemed overwhelmed and very evasive. We ordered a glass of wine and asked to make a small change. The waiter had already poured it, then abruptly took the glass, dumped it into the sink, and appeared visibly annoyed. Eventhough, we tried several times to make eye contact or get his attention, but we were completely ignored. If you’re looking for a relaxed date night or a pleasant dining experience, you may want to skip this place and go somewhere else. The food and setting have potential, but the service needs serious improvement.
Rustic Italian restaurant near Union Square in San Francisco. It is attached to the Marker Hotel on Geary St. We were there early on a Monday evening, so it wasn’t very busy. It never ceases to amaze me when checking in if you have a reservation, yet the whole dining area is empty. We ordered a beet salad for an appetizer and the entrees we had were the Spaghetti con Vongole, and the Gnocchi pesto. Both were very good. The servings are adequate but not huge. The service was hit and miss. We waited several minutes for the table to be cleared and we still had to ask for the check.
I continue to look for a decent lox bagel in this city. This is not it. I've been to five places so far and this, I'm sorry to say, is the worst yet. My main complaint can be summed up as "doesn't taste fresh". The fish was very fishy and tasted faintly of refrigerator. The bagel was flavorless. Did it come out of a plastic bag? Tasted like it. I'm a NYC bagel snob and I don't expect anywhere in San Francisco to give me a lox bagel like Russ & Daughters, but this one is so far from the goal that I cannot recommend it. If you want a great brunch involving salmon and cream cheese, get the Salmon Toast at Plow in Potrero Hill. It's legit. The iced tea was decent. Service was friendly and attentive. The design of the interior is all right, a little cavernous but I expect it is designed to be best experienced at night. If you have a moment sneak next door to the attractive hotel lobby, where you can find cozy armchairs and a fire.
I wish I was able to give half stars, as I feel like 3 stars isn’t enough, but 4 is too many. I made reservations well in advance (2 weeks out) to eat here before a concert. I was immediately disappointed walking in when they sat us in a corner without a chair (forced to sit side by side) and immediately next to another occupied table when most of the restaurant was empty. There was something really weird about it. The server was nice and very efficient, so efficient that sometimes I felt like he was just trying to turn over the table. I had the swordfish which was lackluster and overcooked, but the bed of squash, beans, and kale were fantastic. The pesto helped lighten the cook on the swordfish. We ordered the tiramisu and Italian donuts for dessert, which definitely were the star of the show. The donuts were hot and delicious with a perfect slightly doughy center. The tiramisu was excellent as well, it was the perfect consistency and texture. The double espresso (affogato) was a perfect close to the meal.
Food and drink was good but service was non existent. After sitting in the bar area at a table for 15 mins I decided to order through the bar. Other disappointing item was that they add gratuity to all checks (we only had 2 people) and then don’t make it obvious when you’re signing your credit card receipt. Very sneaky and unethical. Kind of makes sense why service lacked.
My wife and I dined there last night. Small portions served and staff seemed like they didn’t want to be there…Questioned our orders, not attentive with dirty dishes left for a while and slow to receive our bill. Besides the good location to area hotels, they need new management to address customer service.
We made a dinner reservation for December 31st, scheduled for 8:30 PM. When we arrived, there were no available seats, and the staff told us we would have to wait—even though there were clearly empty tables. After questioning again how long it would take for us to be seated, we were finally shown to a table around 8:50 PM. We initially ordered an appetizer and wine, but at no point were we informed that the kitchen would close at 9:00 PM. This information should have been clearly communicated from the beginning, especially considering that we were seated about 20 minutes after our original reservation time. At 9:30 PM, when we asked the waiter to place our main course order, we were told that the kitchen had already closed—despite it being New Year’s Eve. In practice, this meant we would have had only about 10 minutes to order our main dishes after being seated. The staff was unable to resolve the situation, and the manager stated that there was nothing he could do, insisting that the fault was ours and that he was certain his employee had warned us, which did not happen. No effort was made to accommodate us or find a reasonable solution. We ended up paying for the appetizers and wine and leaving the restaurant. It is disappointing that a restaurant of this level handles a New Year’s Eve service so poorly. If the kitchen truly closes at 9:00 PM, then reservations should not be accepted for 8:30 PM—especially when guests are seated late through no fault of their own.
