Every time. The ingredients are always fresh, wine recommendations broad and high end, service is kind and attentive, ambiance is casual and classy. Perfect for long layovers at SFO or casual drop ins. Truly a favorite of mine for years. So good, yet small, that I almost don't want to honestly rate and share but such incredible Italian that they deserve the credit.
Jesse was incredibly knowledgeable about wine and suggested a great Italian red wine that was perfect. Definitely a great place to sit on a comfortable parklet with my dog and people watch with a good glass of wine.
One of my favorite places to relax and grab a glass of wine. Try the lasagna! ... but honestly I've enjoyed it all.
Wine, food, and service were all fantastic. Really nice relaxing atmosphere. Found parking easily and didn’t need a reservation.

We really loved this place! Good wine and food and fair prices. Andres was so nice and sweet!!! Definitely one of our favorite wine bars in the city.
I wish I had pictures of the food and wine I had here but I drank and ate it all much too fast. This place has been on Cortland for years and I was so glad to see it still there on my visit home. Service is always reliable and so is the food, great selection of wine 🍷 and chill vibes
This place is a gem! Every wine I've had has been wonderful, the food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the people who own it are lovely.
We had such a good experience here on our first visit that we went back a second time during our 5-day stay in Bernal Heights. Extensive wine list and a very knowledgeable owner/sommelier. We were a party of 4 and each of us tried a different wine, all with stellar results. The snacks were great too. Highly recommend the artichokes wrapped in prosciutto with pesto. If I lived nearby, instead of on the “other coast”, I would be a regular customer.
Amazing! So friggin delicious! I want more, but my belly is full. Perfect service. Perfect wine. Perfect portion size. And high quality ingredients. If I lived here I'd eat here all the time. Highly recommend this little gem.
Don’t usually like Italian wines but had a delightful wine tasting experience. Appetizers are good also. Good happy hour and lovely outside seating area. Thumbs Up for me.
Nice little wine bar with good food and live music a few nights a month
This is my go to place when I want something that is guaranteed to taste delicious without needing to make a reservation. Portions are the kind of small you expect with quality Italian food. It’s small with a bit of indoor and outdoor seating. Probably best for groups around 2-4 people. The window seating would also make it a particularly nice place to dine alone and people watch.
Such a good neighborhood spot that always calm and nice vibe and service

Out door dining is available. The service friendly and the food nicely presented. There are plenty of options for the vegetarian and the gluten free
Cramped dining area but the neighborhood is full of similarly small restaurants. Service was excellent as was the wine list. Small plates are well made (vegan pizza was A+++). Excellent red sparkling wine!

Edit: Unfortunately, things seemed to be slipping a bit here. Last two times we came, the food came out very late. The first time I thought it was a one- off, but then it happened again last night. We got our bottle of wine, which was great, but then wasted an hour for the cheese platter. Our other food came even later, so our wine was gone before the food came. While we were waiting for the food, after 45 minutes we did ask them at least for bread since we were starving and drinking on an empty stomach, but I would have thought they would have offered bread well before then. Granted, they were busy, but it's a small place with not that many tables and almost no one at outside seating at that time. I was disappointed by the slowness and lack of attention. ORIGINAL POST.. Love, love, love this place! Feels very European in the food and wine options. Great wines, and really enjoy the food. Generally go here when we want lighter fare. We've bought bottles of wine to go from here as well. Wonderful service as well.
Poor service; had to hunt down our server several times for an update on our order and to get the check. Food was average, loud music inside so sat outside so we could hear each other talking.

I wanted to like this place. Cute atmosphere, good wine. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing. $18 for gnocchi of the day, with olives and a tomato sauce that tasted like it came straight out of a can. The pizzetta prosciutto was also really bland and on a thin, processed bread. Two entrees and two glasses of wine, plus tax + tip = $80+. Not worth it.

Have you ever gone to a restaurant and have people who come in after you get seated before you? Well, I have. Then when the waitress comes over and leaves water on your table, you tell you are ready to order because you have had 15 minutes to look at the menu, and then she tells you she will be right back. 15 minutes later, she has not come back and will not even make eye contact with you so you can get her attention. She is busy serving other people, whipping off tables, opening bottles of wine, etc. Absolutely, the worst service I have ever had a restaurant. I would not even call it service. We left, and thought about going to their sister restaurant (Vega), but fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice? I rather go home hungry. Sunday, 17:15, 11/19/23
What happened to this place? It used to be an hidden gem for locals to enjoy 50% off bottles price on Sunday night. I went on Sunday with an important visitor and the service was mediocre and the food was random while priced as if it was a restaurant (they don’t even have a kitchen!). It could be such a great spot. That’s such a disappointment
I wanted to treat my friend to a nice bday dinner and since I know the owner, we decided on this place. I’m a working mom of a toddler and had saved up for this dinner. When the server (brother of the owner) came up and ran my card, he asked if I was leaving cash for tip since he didn’t see me adding it. I said yes. I only brought a certain amount of cash because I didn’t think it would be as expensive, however, it was still a little more than 10% of the bill. As we were leaving he goes "don’t ever come back, this tip is insulting." I decided to give him a little more bc I live nearby and his sister who is the owner has been nothing but nice to me and my son when she sees me. But trust me, I won’t be going back and that goes for the other two places they own (Vega Pizza and Bernal Star) as well. This is not ok, they don’t know people's financial situation. I wonder if he would be saying the same if I were a man.
