Kim’s Sandwiches is a reliable spot for Vietnamese bánh mì, serving crispy baguettes filled with grilled meats, pâté, and fresh vegetables. The BBQ pork sandwich is a standout, offering a great balance of flavors. Service is quick, but seating is limited, making it better for takeout. The bread is consistently fresh, providing the perfect crunch and chewiness that makes bánh mì special. Some variations in portion sizes can occur, but overall, this is a solid choice for a grab-and-go meal.
friendly team and great bahn mi sandwiches! $9.50 for a bahn mi and a Pepsi. no tables. we went back and ate in the car.

Very good Vietnamese sandwiches
the best banh mi ive ever had !!the store owners are very kind
The food here is pretty decent and is yummy. During the morning hours is when you should come and have a taste they’ve got a lot of food to choose from many snacks too. They’re authentic Vietnamese food and it isn’t too pricey. The husband and wifey team are super nice. If you want a discount go to the man when he cashiers. It’s a walked in walked out type of place that have savory to sweet. Fried bananas, Crunchy mango with salt, all kind of sandwiches I usually get the pork bellies. Oh and do tried their pure pate’ sandwich it consists of just liverwurst that rivals the bests made in France by iron chef. I’ll just buy a block of it and spread it on baguette of my choice along with some salami and age cheddar and you’ve got yourself a nice picnic.
Delicious, but make sure you save your lunch money and bring cold hard cash only!
For me, the #9 sandwich, banh mi ba chi, is the best compared to what I've had anywhere else in the area. My perfectly delicious cheat meal.
Amazing selection of viet goodies, I got some nem Bo and Che. The service was amazing and for the price/portion, it’s so worth it.
Growing up down the street, I've been coming here for 20+ years. Legit vietnamese run by grandma and grandpa, they havent changed the recipe at all and I LOVE IT! Very generous and kind Vietnamese grandparents. If they sound curt to you in English - Do not be afraid, they ABSOLUTELY do not mean it! Remember that their english isn't great (they're in their 50s-70s). I speak to them in Vietnamese and my partner who's cauasian speak to them in English. It's the typical straight to the point "Yes, next! What you want to order? You want this?" They dont intend to sound curt, it's the way they learned their English. They always say Hi and thank you - that's gotta win some points, right?! I always come here for the combo w/extra pate (dac biet) and bbq pork (thit nuong) which has yummy hints of lemongrass which sets this sandwich apart from all the other places - my partner's favorite! I bought him the same sandwich elsewhere and it doesnt compare. Lees sandwiches is a 2 compared to this place, a 10 in my book. The bread is just perfectly light and fluffy, the butter they use is silky smooth and the heaping amount of veggies. They DO NOT skimp out. Your sandwich will be THICK! So worth $5! I also get the sweet sticky rice: either coconut/corn or the savory chinese sausage & scallions. Also, they sell frozen pork/rice dumplings (banh bot loc) for $25/50pcs and it's PERFECT for those days I dont want to drive south 20mins to pick up some snacks (I live in MTV now). They provide party trays and they present it so well! I had order 20 sandwiches and they were individually wrapped and sliced in half. CASH ONLY, support your mom & pop shop. This is one of my top 10 places that I hope will make it through this pandemic.
I'm friends with the owners of this shop. They are really friendly and can provide quick service for people who are short on time. The food overall is great and relatively inexpensive.
okay this place is a must check out multiple times because theres so much solid and unique appealing stuff here. many americans would love to have a new culinary experience here with all the stuff laid out and ready to go quick. and as for the basics their bahn mi is awesome. i got grilled pork today and the meat and sauce were both better than i have gotten from most other places in the past. and the price is better than all places ive been in the past its only 6 dollars. i say get two and have two tastes while paying the price of one bahn mi elsewhere. gotta get back here to try their sweets and pick up things to bring my friends when i visit them to impress them with something new and good. also the women here were so sweet answering my questions and just being cool to me
Speaking of Vietnamese ‘street food’ this small shop have a very great selection of snacks and to go meals. Situated in the Lion Plaza, parking is so easy. The mall, in business for over 40 years, is a nice and relaxing environment without any stressful parking. Most of the specialty dishes are made on site by the owners guaranteeing fresh items, especially the sweet dessert Chè with coconut milk. I heartily recommend this small sandwich shop. It’s one of my favorite stops to fix my Vietnamese taste craving. 🌷
I think this place has been here for decades and decades and I remember seeing it as a child when I would go to Lion Plaza as a child with my parents. Whether I tried it when I was a child or not I don't remember that..but as an adult..I recently decided to try it the other week and wow wow wow wow it's delicious!!! My go to sandwich here is the ba roi/cha lu. The bread here isn't hard like other places so it'd easy to bite into and eat. Their meat to sandwich ratio is perfect. The ba roi/cha lu are extremely flavorful and soft. I also tried their xoi (rice with Chinese sausage and chicken) and it was AMAZING!!! I got one box of xoi but I wish I got two boxes because I finished one in less than 5 minutes. So good!!! I'm looking forward to my next sandwich and xoi from here. If you are in Lion Plaza come support this business..yummy sandwiches and xoi!!!

Neat little sandwiches here. I had their #1 ham banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) $7. Nothing came across as mind blowing or the inverse, foul tasting. It was not bad. The bread had a nice crunch and left a bunch of crumbs on my lap after I ate it. The sandwich was soft toward the middle and a slight snap from the pickled vegetables. There are better banh mi shops in SJ, but if I'm in Lion Plaza already, Kim's is convenient and a time saver.

Solid shop! good quality bread, house made mayo
If you are on budget this is the place for good sandwich for lunch. This is a family ops store. Wonderful people. The only thing is their deserts need to be kept in cooler temp during summer time.
Great sandwiches with lots of original options to choose from and the Dutch crunch bread was great as well. Sandwiches take a while to come out after you order so consider ordering in advance.

Not a huge fan of these sandwiches since it comes with an interesting yellow sauce that isn't mustard. The sandwiches are OK but nothing to write home about.
Solid Vietnamese snacks and sandwiches. Can't really go wrong here.

I got 2 sandwiches there. They used the same tongs for the raw meat and the cooked meat (made in the microwave).
Racism Sandwiches shop. Always cheating me with the price and Changes. I swear I won't come back.
