Yat Sing is the best!! I’ve been going there since I was young and they have the best salt and pepper pork, chow mein, you name it! The staff is great too. I’ve since moved away from the area, but make sure to go to Yat Sing when I’m home.

I am biased to be sure, but Yat Sing has been a neighborhood staple for years. I was saddened when the closed the Marsh Manor location during the pandemic and delighted to finally make my way across town to the Woodside Rd location. The pot stickers really are the best in town.

Yat Sing is your perfect Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood. It's great for takeout and dine in. You'll want to go back often and they will get to know you and welcome you again and again. The food is very good with a wide selection and quick service. Make it your next choice for Chinese.

Best pot stickers in town. We searched for some time to find our new 'local' Chinese when we moved to the peninsula - that was 6 years ago now, and we're still regulars here. They will occasionally have an off night, but overall the food remains great. The staff are fantastic. As locals now, we walk in and they basically know our favorites - they also look after our kids really well - true family environment. Don't expect the decor to be five star - but then again, you come for the food, and not necessarily the ambiance. We love this place, and continue to frequent every week or so. Thoroughly recommend.

I placed a large to-go order, and everything was amazing! They fit my entire order into one box excellent service. The food was delicious, with great flavor. I definitely recommend you try them.

Spectacular pot stickers. Great hit and sour soup. Fabulous fried prawns dish. Just excellent not particularly spicy Chinese food. Extremely talented chef!

Pretty mid menu and not much food for $15. Debatable cleanliness (flies, sticky table), but good service, and it's a vibe: it's of traditional cheap Hong Kong/Canto decor and smell and food. But spread out in the big American space lol so to put it nicely, it's a vibe lol The wontons are also on the fatty tasting side, which is not my preference

I can't say much about the atmosphere as I did not eat in. Most of everything that I got taste good however the potstickers are fantastic.

Certain dish when packed seems to have shrunken. Same price but less food. Just don't seem right. Therefore, I don't bother.

I moved to the Bay Area about 2 years ago and found it difficult to find a really good restaurant like Yat Sing. After moving to Woodside about 1 year ago, my husband and I finally decided to give it a try and the food was amazing! Since then we have noticed the food quality started to decline but not enough to write a review nor stop going there but this evening I have had enough! First the price charged on 16Jan2024, was different than the price on the menu which I was told would be fixed last year. When I inquired about the price difference, the lady at the front desk simply said “that’s the price, we are printing new menus”. Since I have been a customer since last year, that seems like a long time to not have menus correctly reflect the pricing and gives me the feeling that they charge what they feel like as I have no transparency in advance and this has been an issue since last year. I understand things are changing and prices may be updated more frequently in today’s world but they need to offer digital menus instead and print only a few for customers that are not digital savvy. Anyway, I ordered take out that included a vegetarian egg rolls and shrimp noodle soup which cost $25.82. The vegetarian egg roll was greasy and uneditable! When I looked at the container to see why grease was dripping down my fingers I was surprised to see the egg roll was literally swimming in grease (see attached picture). I also ordered the shrimp noodle soup which was flavorless and had about 5 shrimp in total. My total cost for these two items was $25.82 and not worth the price at all. I will not return. Not sure if they have changed chefs but they need to go back to their original quality of food which has been lacking for months. And they need to address the price transparency issues mentioned earlier. I wish them well but won’t be back.

We ordered the bbq pork chow mein, mushroom chicken and beef and broccoli. Veggies were fresh but the sauces and meat tasted chemically. The chow mein was dry and did not have much flavor.

I went to get takeout food for lunch yesterday. It all started with the menu. No where on the menu does it say lunch special not offered on Sunday. I ordered the same item not in the lunch menu. My Take out menu order came to $56.06 for two cashew chickens, two broccoli beef and two steam rices. at first I was told to pay on pick up, then he requested I pay right now. When I paid I was not once given and itemized receipt. When I came to pick up my order he told me that everything was in the bag. Took it home opened it and found out I was missing a steamed rice. I drove all way back down there, just to find out they put both steamed rice is in the same box. They were not willing to compensate me for their poor communication. To go portions are ridiculously small! This restaurant has very poor management and poor quality for Chinese food. Never again will I order from this restaurant! I have had bad experiences with this restaurant in the past! I know this restaurant is a chain in the Bay Area so I don't know if I'll visit any of the other locations.

The waiter was rushing with her service despite it not being busy. She didn't write anything down and that made us uneasy. I don't know her name because she didn't introduce herself. The time of the check was ridiculous. She charged 4x for one order of steamed white rice. Her reason was because it was a large family and we were sure to share. My husband ordered for himself not the whole family they charge what they see fit and serve more than a typical one person serving without telling you or informing you. They reduced the 4x to 2x which was still outrageous but the service here is not good. They don't appreciate the customers and are rushing you as if they want you out. Very disappointing. The food was okay.

Warning! I was skeptical about getting food from this place, due to the mix reviews. However, I do not like to judge a book by the cover. So, I ordered pot stickers, chicken & broccoli, Seaweed soup and egg rolls, followed by sweet and sour chicken. 1. Pot stickers (soggy) yet some what tasty inside. 2. Chicken and Broccoli (bland and slimy chicken, broccoli okay). 3. Seaweed soup. Color and decent looking. Taste...no flavor and way over cooked. So disappointing! since I'm a soup lover. 4.Egg rolls. Very oily, generous portion of cabbage inside. Too bad the smothers the flavor. 5. Sweet and Sour chicken, should be renamed to extra extra soggy sauce chicken with extra sauce. Here is your friendly warning NOT to get food from this place. I should have taken heed. I wasted $45.00 and unknowingly put horrible food in my palate. Never again!

I never leave reviews but my experience was borderline too comically awful not to leave one. I ordered food for two (potstickers, egg roles, and two entrees), and when checking out the person rushing me to take my order said $30.30. I’m a college student so that made perfect sense to me, but when I went to pay, the card reader displayed $60.60 and I was only allowed to see the itemized receipt after asking explicitly for it and wasn’t allowed to keep it. Anyway, I’m surprised but decide to order anyway. While I’m waiting, some poor old woman walks in and orders soup and egg roles, and upon being quoted $30 for the two items, apologizes and walks out because it’s simply way overpriced. Regardless of the price though, the food is pretty awful (my college town chinese for literally a quarter of the price is 10x better on all fronts). Both of us could taste some weird sour / bitterness in our entrees likely because they seemed to be the exact same barring the meat and a couple of peanuts despite being completely different dishes. TL;DR: food is super overpriced and altogether pretty bad. Their markup is the only way they’re still in business.

No fork and incomplete order. I called and manager wanted me to drive 20 miles back to Yat Sing for a partial discount. They were fast, but .maybe too fast. Then they tried to sell me some story about how they dont pack utensils on to go orders on weekend nights. Go somewhere else.

Absolutely the worst chicken salad I’ve ever had in my life. The service was almost as bad as the food. When she asked me if I wanted a box for my food, I told her it was absolutely awful, I could not eat it. She proceeded to take my plate, not even asking me why I didn’t like it or offer me anything else. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else because apparently the people at Yat Sing Don’t put any love into their food and actually do not care about their patrons. I’ve been in the restaurant business for over 40 years & had this experience!!!!
