Comida deliciosa potosina
Un clásico moderno
Delicioso
Personally, the menudo was very tasty, the prices were fair, the waiter was very friendly, yes it is a little pricey but I feel it is worth it, overall good.
The menu is very varied and flavorful. We ordered gorditas, menudo, and enchilaquiles, all delicious. The refill coffee has a touch of cinnamon and is delicious. Musicians also perform, and they ask for their support. Service can be slow when it's busy, especially in the mornings. Highly recommended.
We love it, even when we have guests; it's a must-visit. The food is delicious, the drinks too, and the service from the servers has been excellent lately (it used to be pretty good, but now there are several who are super friendly and energetic). My favorite stew is a piece of pork with zucchini and corn in green salsa. Also the barbacoa tacos, with freshly made tortillas and excellent size.
La gordita de chicharrón muy rica
Rico
Buena comida 😋 servicio poco lento
Comida rica.
The food is always delicious, although the service is super slow because they have very few waiters.
The place is pleasant and welcoming. The gorditas are delicious, the menudo could be better. And the service is very attentive.
My mother-in-law didn't like it, but she doesn't like anything. There's loud music playing, and the guitarist comes in suddenly, but the music doesn't stop, so it's quite annoying. There's space for the kids to play. The food isn't as good as it used to be, but it still holds its own against all the competition in the area. It's a big place, so if you can find a table...
Of all the locations of the famous "Gorditas de Moreles," this is one of the most popular. The atmosphere is good, the place is beautifully decorated and has a play area for the little ones. The staff is very friendly, and the dishes are delivered quickly. BUT: Over time, the stews in their gorditas/sopes/quesadillas have declined significantly. Most of them lack salt and "flavor." The mole is very bad, just chili paste. However, their barbacoa is very good, and their coffee is delicious. Overall, it's a good place to spend a Sunday because of the service, even if they choose wisely when selecting their stews.
It's one of the best places to go for gorditas and typical dishes from Potosí. It definitely gives you a homemade taste because everything is freshly made, and their enchiladas from Potosí are delicious. The gorditas and sopes are generously sized. They have a children's play area. The only problem is that during rush hour on Sundays, they lose control of the service and wait times are long. They don't have parking; you have to search on the street.
We only tried the gorditas and sopes. The shredded beef was very tasty, and the bean gorditas with chorizo and cheese were delicious. We weren't thrilled with the cecina (dried beef). I wish they had better salsas and coffee sweetened with piloncillo (unrefined cane sugar). The orange juice was good, and they sell San Diego brand campechanas (a type of Mexican candy) at a good price. The restaurant is large, and they don't have many servers, so the service was slow, but overall the atmosphere was quite pleasant. It's on a busy street, so we had trouble finding street parking.
The flavor of the stews and the quality of the ingredients are average for the price of the gorditas. The reputation is even better than anything else. Honestly, I've tried much better gorditas for a more reasonable price. Although the service is good, I wouldn't go back on my own.
Regular
We got red eggs, barbacoa, arrechera, moronga, desebrada, and calabaza gorditas. I wouldn't recommend the arrechera gordita. Everything else was really good. We also ate arrechera and desebrada sope's. The arrechera sope wasn't tasty 😔. Next time, I would get the original sope, beans, and cheese 😋. The menudo was really good as well 😋. Ernesto Nuñez was our waiter, and he was the best. He made our time here enjoyable.
The waiters are not attentive to the tables, sopes that are supposed to have stew only have cheese, the taco tortillas are super cold and break, the menudo is not good
The food is tasty, but the waiters, especially the older ones, are very rude. Also, since they banned musicians, it's become a very dull place. It's a shame because there are many musicians who sing beautifully and even get the ambiance for free.
The best thing about it is the location; it's nice, spacious, and has a good atmosphere. However, the service is very unprofessional. They bring you the salsas just as you're finishing your barbacoa tacos. The gorditas are definitely not recommended. The mole is pure chili, the chicharrón isn't chicharrón at all—it has no seasoning—and the corn masa is nothing like the typical gorditas from San Luis Potosí. I wouldn't recommend them to people who are surprised that we in San Luis love gorditas so much. I'm sorry, but the place doesn't live up to the quality of the food. And it's expensive, too.
The place is nice, but it's very hot, it feels very hot, and it should be more ventilated. As for the food, it's pretty average. It's not the worst I've ever had, but it's not the best either. I think the quality should be proportional to the price. The salsas were bland, very bad. But the flavored waters are awful, especially the horchata. It's like water from a packet (like Tang), simply horrible. They have enough resources to make it homemade from scratch. For the price, I expected something minimally decent, not crap. If you have the chance to go for breakfast here, don't take it. Personally, I prefer the gorditas from any doña, and they're much better, and they're half the price.
El menudo llegó frio y salado. El sope igual frío. Los frijoles, desabridos. No vengan aquí. Por lo menos no en lunes.
Servicio tardado Comida seca Masa seca
