A good place to hang out. The drunks of the place are friendly hehe, maybe because they where to drunk.

Nice walking distance from the house - pool, darts & drinks - cant go wrong.

It is a dive bar. Not fancy but friendly local people. Reasonably priced. I love bars like this.

Every time I come here I end up carrying someone back to their apartments. Always a chill place to meet people in a small group atmosphere.

Steamies is a Lovely Dive Bar, great in the afternoon for a bit of Day Drinking. Good staff, decent selection, and nice Bar Folk in order have people for which to B.S. I'll go back, see ya there.

Ok so yes it's a dive bar but they were literally, clean and affordable, what more could you ask for so don't set your expectations too high but you'll likely have a nice time.

First time ever going I really liked it just a small little bar and a neighborhood very hidden I've been in many bars in San Mateo I never ever knew this place existed and I lived in this area of my entire life the bar was nice and clean that pool table no parking lot parking on the street only had 2 hour limits I don't remember the bartender's name but she was very friendly when she found out my name was Victor she shared a story of her dad passing and she said she felt blessed when a Victor came by in her life I thought that was very touching anyways definitely check this place out if you're a local in town or maybe driving by on the freeway everybody was very friendly thank you for taking the time to read my short review 😎

Think of the most cliche bar ever. Mix sports with it. And a lot of outdoor seating. But with decent pricing. That’s Steamies. Tuesday and Sunday are the days to go. Chill spot.

I'd give 4.5 if I could. Great place but a bit small so naturally loud. Enjoyed the intimate setting and ease of access from train/mall/walk/cheap uber ride. Perfect place to catch up with the hom/ie/s/girl and maybe play some pool or darts. Some parking but not much. Right next to caltrain and the neighborhood. Ami music so you play your favorites whenever. Enjoy a nice trip to the mall then a night out at the bar.

We were there for the first half of the Seattle-San Francisco playoff game so that probably didn't help the attention to service too much. Unfortunately they lost the WiFi so the game was done at halftime. It is definitely worth a return visit.

Nice bartender , good quality liquor, Basil Hayden, Whistle Pig, Stella. I had a Basil and a Stella 15 bucks. Liquor shot pours definitely on the shy side, little disappointing, not old school heavier handed like the Patio but in general I was satisfied.I will be back.

This place used to be a dive but it is very much improved nice people lots of big TVs to watch football

I walked in on a Friday night and this place was empty, definitely a local dive. The bartender was too busy smoking outside to help me or my friend, so we went over to Antones instead. I'll give this place another shot in the future though, as it had some interesting decor and the drinks looked cheap.

Very expensive drinks. Not much room. Out-of-the-way location. I ordered a gin and tonic and I got a gin and club soda.

I forgot my credit card there and they charged it afterward after I left, when I called the next day they insisted that it was returned to me and hung up the phone, please avoid
