Wonderful little bakery with a nice selection of breakfast and coffee options. Also on offer are fresh loaves of bread. Staff are attentive and bilingual.

I get my coffee here everyday, it’s the best espresso around by far. Their sourdough is phenomenal, and their pastry is excellent. I am a terrible snob about baking and their stuff is really very high quality. The people are sweet and super friendly. Absolutely my favorite place in the neighborhood.

A hidden gem!! The staff including the owner and his wife are wonderful. They pour their heart and sole into this little neighborhood bakery/cafe. Don’t miss it.

A shout out for Sucre, for its delicious food and friendly service! Today after a nice long walk I dropped by and had an egg sandwich on one of their amazing everything bagels, along with some excellent coffee. So good.

I am happy that Sucre is in my own colonia! I always look forward to going there. Emilio, Karen, and their staff are so friendly and welcoming. Plus, aside from the great assortment of breads and other baked goods, I love their French omelette -- my favorite omelette in SMA!

We are addicted to their sourdough bread! Just found out that they will make gluten free bread if you order it. You have to call your order in or go there before 10 am to get it the next day.

El café es de especialidad muy delicioso, el pan de masa madre es delicioso mi favorito es el de arandanos con nuez, y el de aceitunas con ajo, y el pan dulce son irresistibles los eh probado todos el croissant natural tiene un sabor delicioso a mantequilla, si lo llevas a casa hay que saber guardarlo en una bolsita de plastico es más que obvio. El desayuno delicioso el mejor omellete.

Nunca puedo tomar una foto de lo que como porque me olvido de la ganas de probar cada nuevo platillo. Los he probado todos y son súper ricos y la masa de su pan es única. Esta vez me pedí un dirty chai. Súper deli!

De mis lugares favoritos desde siempre. Karen y Emilio son super amables y hacen el mejor pan del mundo.

En primer lugar, Karen y Emilio son extraordinarias personas y, de ahí, se desprende todo lo demás en consecuencia. Un pequeño negocio familiar que inició preparando excelente pan de masa madre y pan dulce estilo francés. Poco a poco han ido ampliando su menú e incluyeron la barra de café, acondicionando el lugar con pequeñas mesitas. Conforme se han dado a conocer, gracias a la calidad de sus productos y a su excelente atención, han ido expandiendo su negocio y próximamente abrirán otro local sobre Colegio Militar, a pocas cuadras de su ubicación actual y entiendo que mantendrán ambas locaciones. Es un negocio que merece el éxito que ha tenido y mucho más, dado el cariño, cuidado, dedicación y profesionalismo que Karen y Emilio han invertido en él. Soportemos a nuestros vecinos y nuestros negocios locales.

We walk from San Antonio a couple of times a week for their variety of excellent sourdough, and sit for a baked treat ( pistachio roll!) and cappuccino. Love the folks that work here and the whole vibe.

So this was a wonderful surprise find that I stumbled upon this morning, coming home a different way from the dentist, tucked into a little side street in Guadalupe suddenly I heard music and found a full house of regulars, both locals as well as ex-pats and all the tables full… No wonder! Excellent coffee,amazing baked goods, including cinnamon rolls, and pistachio with nut rolls and chocolate, covered, churros, and even everything bagels and had my first bagel and lox and cucumber in Mexico, and it was wonderful!

It's hard to add to the deservedly rave reviews, but I'll try. We are in San Miguel for 2 months, and Bakery Sucre is a revelation. We walk 1.5 hours round trip (down and up a mountain) just to patronize this place in the morning. The bread and croissants are as good, if not better, than anything you can get in Paris, and I know that's a bold statement. But then, every morning, out pops some other inventive and delectable creation, like creme brûlée cronuts, or pistachio-ginger sticky buns. Also, if you read the interior of the menu, their philosophic approach to the work is an inspiration. Bakery Sucre is love personified.

One of the best things about living in Colonia Guadalupe is Sucre. I buy a loaf of sourdough bread every couple days there. The picture shown here is of their focaccia which is available on weekends. They also serve great bagels and breakfast.

We spent two weeks in SMA in January 2025 and friends here for the winter brought us to Sucre in their new location. We loved everything about it: excellent food (we tried their smoked salmon toast and their grilled cheese with the best tomato soup ever -- came back to have that again), lovely owners, and outstanding bread. We enjoyed two loaves of their olive bread and one loaf of their whole grain seedy bread and wished we could have stayed in SMA longer just to get more Sucre bread!

I’ve been coming to SMA for over 15 years and this is the best sourdough bread I’ve found (and I’ve searched high and low!) Multi Grain is divine with butter. Their cinnamon rolls are second only to my Grandmother’s. Bright strong cinnamon flavor and not too sweet, far superior to clawing Fast Food cinnamon roll chain.

Best bakery in area. Sourdough, scones, cinnamon rolls, croissants are all excellent. We’ve ordered a delicious birthday cake from Sucre. It was fantastic. And recently, we had their bagels, another excellent item. You can’t go wrong with Sucre!

Great little coffee/pastry shop. The selection is small, but that works great when everything they serve is so good. We particularly liked their small pizzas - it’s a great lunch option if you’re in the area (be sure to ask for the dipping sauce to go with it - it’s delicious). We haven’t tried their coffee, but from what I hear it’s great. For dessert we’ve had the raisin and pecan cinnamon roll and the almond croissant…both tasted fresh and delicious. Everything costs about 20-30 pesos. The owner speaks good English and he is super friendly.

Giving it 4 stars because of the bakery. Bread, croissants etc are wonderful. The eat-in options for lunch/breakfast are average.

The chocolate and almond croissants are light and fluffy. The carrot cake is delicious and very moist. Great addition to Guadalupe. We heard the bread is good, but we have not tried it yet. We recommend!

We used to love going every week to sucre, we loved the atmosphere, food and coffee. However we recently received bat attitude from the waitresses, sad to stop going there but there was no need to be so rude. paid and left
